Used and rejected pictures
- 1. Used and Rejected Pictures
- 2. This picture was used on the Double Page Spread. It is situated behind the writing on the second page and is relatively opaque. It is also edited so he is facing the other way, toward the separate picture of "Ellie". I like this picture as his face displays concentration and determination to do well. This expression matches the characteristics “Lewis” has that are alluded to within the article. This picture was used in one of the arrows on the Contents page. Similarly to the photo (pictured below) his face shows concentration and I cropped the picture so it was a different shot to the others I have of him order to give a variety of shots. This picture was used on the Double Page Spread in the form of a polaroid. It acted as an entry to a tour diary. The picture shows a more down to earth side of Ellie as she looks peaceful and interested in nature. This gives off a positive vibe of her. This picture was on the contents page in an arrow like the photo (pictured top left). It is a posed photo and gives off the idea that she is professional but the fact it is a smile shows she is friendly and approachable also. This makes for a good music artist and matches her personality described in the DPS. USED
- 3. Rejected This photo had a nice effect due to the wind moving her hair in front of her face. As well as this, it is a different camera shot to the other pictures. However, the quality didn’t seem as high as the other pictures that I did end up choosing and it would’ve been more successful if her lips were more on show. This is a lovely picture as the pair are both smiling and looking into each others eyes (as I directed). However, Lewis looks as though he is mid-laugh and so it doesn’t look as professional as it could’ve done. As well as this, the placement of Ellie’s hand looks awkward and her raised shoulders make her neck look very short. This isn’t the most flattering picture so I did not use it for the magazine.
