films, to engage the target audience. film
trailers are one of the most efficient ways of
advertising as there is a range of different ways
a film trailer can be accessed, either via
television, internet advertisements or even
social network publications.

Marketing campaigns often use a range of
techniques, such as film posters,trailers,
magazines, interactive games or even
competitions related to the film. This
intentionally creates a large interest in the film,
making the potential audience involve other
potential customers through word of mouth and
social networking.

to appeal to the target audience, is to screen
film trailers at a certain time. For example if a
producer was advertising a children's film (ages
4-10) then they would show the trailer on a
channel aimed a similar age range, during the
day. whereas the producers of battleship may
show their trailer after 8 o'clock.

would usually show, loud noises and fast paced
movement to try and build suspense.
