differences between unix and linux:
Some people think Unix and Linux as synonyms, but that's not true. Many operating systems were developed to be like Unix but none of them got the popularity as Linux. Linux is the clone of Unix. It has several features similar to Unix, still have some key differences let us see in the presentation..
It is a Unix like operating system.
It can run on 32 bit and 64 bit hardware.
Linux OS, is a freely distributable, cross-platform
Supports multiple processors.
True multi-tasking, multi-user OS.
Following are some of the important features of Linux Operating System.
Portable - Portability means softwares can works on different types of hardwares in same way.Linux kernel and application programs supports their installation on any kind of hardware platform.
Open Source - Linux source code is freely available and it is community based development project. Multiple teams works in collaboration to enhance the capability of Linux operating system and it is continuously evolving.
Multi-User - Linux is a multiuser system means multiple users can access system resources like memory/ ram/ application programs at same time.
Multiprogramming - Linux is a multiprogramming system means multiple applications can run at same time.
Hierarchical File System - Linux provides a standard file structure in which system files/ user files are arranged.
Shell - Linux provides a special interpreter program which can be used to execute commands of the operating system. It can be used to do various types of operations, call application programs etc.
Security - Linux provides user security using authentication features like password protection/ controlled access to specific files/ encryption of data.

Linux is the best-known and most-used open source operating system. As an operating system, Linux is software that sits underneath all of the other software on a computer, receiving requests from those programs and relaying these requests to the computer's hardware.
You will learn or know all of the fundamentals, introduction, history, and facts about UNIX and LINUX in this presentation.
So, let's get started. If you enjoy this and find the information beneficial, please like and share it with your friends.

Solution
Will Linux become a serious competitor to Windows? two rationales to justify your opinion ?
Linux and Windows are two operating systems that are constantly competing from control of the
computer market. Both operating systems have shown considerable growth in the server
world.Windows and Linux each controlled roughly half of the overall server market. The Linux
side contained such as NetWare, BSD, and Debianbased Linux
Linux is already the dominant OS on essentially all devices other than desktop/laptop computers.
The primary obstacle to broader desktop adoption is the lack of device drivers for the broad array
of hardware available in the PC ecosystem. Most device drivers are written in C and are
proprietary (closed source) software. The Linux model for security traces its roots back directly to
UNIX, which was the first multi tasking and platform portable computer operating system. Here
it is important to understand the history of the UNIX operating system to fully see the reason
why UNIX and therefore Linux are very secure
Linux has made a lot of progress from where it was earlier, but still, it lacks a lot, in comparison
to Windows. Also, it caters to a different user-base, the people who use Windows prefer ease of
use and compatibility with most of the hardware and software that they need. On the other hand,
Linux is mainly adopted by developers, programmers and college students. Although Linux is
making great progress, but, so is Windows, we can\'t ignore that Microsoft is trying its best to
compete, and is giving all it has.
List 3 companies creating application software to run on Linux ?List at least 2 businesses
adopting Linux as an OS?
Raspberry pi
The business card sized computer designed for electronic projects as well as desktop computing
which is very cheap in cost and is fully functional. Raspberry is a landmark in Linux
Development.
New York Stock Exchange
which provides means for buyers and sellers in order to trade shares of stock in companies
registered for public trading relies solely on Linux.
Bullet Trains
The Bullet Trains in Japan runs at the speed of 240-320 km/h. All train tracking, maintenance,
scheduling and controlling is Linux based.
Linux is by far the choice of operating system for many major websites
Some examples include Google, Yahoo, YouTube, and Facebook and key governmental
agencies such as the US Army.
Predictions about Linux use??

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

3. Difference between Unix and
Linux
Unix Linux
1. It is an operating system
which can be only used by its
copyrighters.
2. It was developed mainly for
servers, workstations and
mainframes.
3. Unix copyright vendors decide
different costs for their
respective Unix Operating
systems.
1. It is an open-source operating
system which is freely available
to everyone.
2. Nowadays, Linux is in great
demand. Anyone can use Linux
whether a home user, developer
or a student.
3. Linux is freely distributed,
downloaded, and distributed
through magazines also. And
priced distros of Linux are also
cheaper than Windows.
4. unix linux
1. It also supports file system
but lesser than Linux.
2. Unix contain a completely
different coding developed
by AT&T Labs.
3. Unix is a complete
package of Operating
system.
4. In Unix, users have to wait
for some time for the
problem to be resolved.
1. Linux supports more file
system than Unix.
2. Linux is a Unix clone,
behaves like Unix but
doesn't contain its code.
3. Linux is just the kernel.
4. As Linux is open-source ,
whenever a user post any
kind of threat, developers
from all over the world start
working on it. And hence, it
provides faster solution.
