Unity Game Work Flow 
Idea 
This task is to create a 3d game level using the Unity game engine. I want to make a small island with 
lot of scenic views so that the player can Rome around and checkout the small beach and forest i 
also plan to add a cave and a small quest to find something in that cave set it in the 1700 when 
pirates were feared 
There is no action in the level but exploration and lots of ester eggs to find it will make a good demo 
level for others to test I will be trying to focus on detail of the level that content as I want it to luck 
full of life and make the player feel like an explore hunting for some lost treasure 
I started with a large piece of terrain and I edited it to look like an island backed up against a 
mountain so that people can’t get out off the map

I plan to use assassin’s creed black flag as a basic design for my level taking the sunny 
Caribbean feel I want the player to feel as if he is a pirate who found himself stuck on a 
small island I also plan to add some small details like a ship in the distance and a small shack

I want the island to look as if it has been used for smuggling and was abandoned I will use a 
cave filled with good to show this 
Planning and Execution 
I now have a good idea on how I want the island to look and I will be making it an fps game so I have 
no need for a character my island will be a small piece of land with a mountain behind it. the ocean 
entrance to the island will be covered by sea spikes to make the island look as if it was dangerous 
getting there all for effect

I will also be adding a ship in the background to give the player all the tools to make up his own story 
in his head this allows the level to be flexible and no need to litter the island with story lines just

I will also add in a smugglers cave and fill it with boxes and supply’s that all give hints that it was 
used to stash goods and all will be able to explore and make up your own story 
Blocking

This is my level so far I have been able to make, texture and add in small detail to the island I also 
added in my first person controller and now moving to add in sounds and more detail I also put in a 
lot of work for the water making my own that suits the land I’ve made the fps controller moves 
jumps and with the sea and skyboxes the island now looks presentable 
Detail 
I have added simple 50mm flair that gives the skybox and shadows a better point of origin 
and it looks much more realistic when you look up 
I also put a small house that looks years old and ruin Asif it was abandoned years ag again 
this is to add another hint to the player for him to make up his own story and you can also

see part of the mountain that’s on the island you can’t go on the mountain but I plan to put 
the cave there 
The custom water that I made looks great and with the ship hiding behind the sea spikes it 
all adds to the mystery of what happened 
Final Testing 
I have now finished the level it has lots of small details and big hints but no set story 
allowing the player to make his own I also put in some footsteps and ocean sound with 
quiet music I like to think of the level as a relaxation point just too look around and chill out 
With the sound and full access to the whole map this is a level of detail and care I will try to 
add more in the future 
Extra 
I have added in some extra props to give the map some filling and look like it has been used 
before

These boxes and barrels give the map some detail and feel as if there is a purpose not just 
empty and boring 
To finish I added the shadows and baked the scene as well as move some of the trees 
around and added in all the colliders to the objects and trees 
The shadows really give detail to the level I made and now that to have baked the textures it 
really adds to the map and gives the world some great detail

I added in a cave in to the map and put some gold to find inside this also give huge amount 
of detail to the world 
I added in some touches and moved the gold around to make the cave feel full and the light 
makes it feel creepy the game looks ready to be play tested
