Pronunciation: linking sounds: intrusive “w” and “j”.
Home work: The Kindness Offensive, Moscow State Circus, Wembley Stadium.
Look at the book and try to explain to us what you know about them?
Read the lesson and answer the book.
Rules:
We usually use “it” to refer to something which has come before.
The structure of the sentence have to be “It’s / It isn’t + adjective + to + infinitive”
Example:
 It’s fun to be kind to people.
 It’s important to help other people.
 It isn’t easy to understand people.

Listen and repeat.

Look at the picture at the SB page 62 and describe what you can see then answer the book.

Why this sentence are wrong?
Rules:
1. Be, have and do are NOT modal verbs these are auxiliary verbs and are used to form
verbs.
2. Can may, should are modal verbs they are NO infinitive, NO continuous form, NO passive
form, NO –s ending for the third person singular.
3. Questions are formed by inverting the modal verbs. ( Must I…? Can… we?)
Example:
 You must be tired
 We should buy a new car.
 He couldn’t speak English.
Now find the modal verb.
Complete the questions at the SB page 63 and work with the communication activity

TOPIC: Kindness TEXTS Reading and listening: an article called The Kindness Offensive. Listening: people talking about special presents; song ‘Put a Little Love in Your Heart’ Writing: a summary Portfolio: Video clip about a “summary of your life”. SPEAKING AND FUNTIONS Talking about kindness Talking about the best presents you’ve ever got. Discussing birthdays and presents. LANGUAGE Grammar: dummy it, modal verbs review. Vocabulary: making an effort. Pronunciation: linking sounds: intrusive “w” and “j”.
  • 3. Home work: The Kindness Offensive, Moscow State Circus, Wembley Stadium. Look at the book and try to explain to us what you know about them? Read the lesson and answer the book. Rules: We usually use “it” to refer to something which has come before. The structure of the sentence have to be “It’s / It isn’t + adjective + to + infinitive” Example:  It’s fun to be kind to people.  It’s important to help other people.  It isn’t easy to understand people. *

Can may, should are modal verbs they are NO infinitive, NO continuous form, NO passive form, NO –s ending for the third person singular. 3. Questions are formed by inverting the modal verbs. ( Must I…? Can… we?) Example:  You must be tired  We should buy a new car.  He couldn’t speak English. Now find the modal verb.
