Last of us Genre (survival/horror | action/adventure) The genre type of the Last of Us is a survival horror where the player struggles to conserve ammo and picking his shots wisely, and scrounging together whatever supplies you can to upgrade weapons and to create new ones. Content (dark /dirty, emotional, negative, tense, claustrophobic, surprise jumpscares, post-apocalyptic, exploration and large/bold/weathered) The content in this game is very dark and depressing as it is set in post-apocalyptic world and shows hug ruined sky scrapers giving the sense of complete despair. Construction (linear- narrative driven/ character/ dialogue, more depth, 15 stages/levels) The construction of this game shows that it is quite basic in theory as you cannot progress further through the game without getting to a certain area so simply making your way towards point A to point B. Narrative conventions (infection/ survival/ cure) In the last of us you expect a very detailed plot as you actually about the characters you are introduced to like Ellie and Joel the two main character of the game and even the secondary character you meet along the way are fairly interesting to know about. Common codes The Last of Us shows through the gameplay and the plot itself that it is a dark survival horror based around a present time representation of what would happen if zombies were to become real.

Just Dance Genre (Fitness/Sport/family/party/dance, simulator) The genre type of Just Dance is dance games which allows you to interpretate dance movements, and if done correctly are rewarded with higher amount of points. Content (colourful, bright, vibrant, enthusiastic, positive, eye-catching, inclusive, bold, IP, sound/songs) The content in this game is very bright and colourful giving you the indication that it want you to be in a very positive and emotive mood so that you can efficiently play the game. Construction The construction of this game shows that it is quite basic in theory as you can only progress by matching your body positions with the ones and the screen and will reward you with points if done so correctly. Narrative conventions In Just Dance you expect only one thing which is getting higher amount of points when positioning your body in the correct angles. Common codes In Just Dance you can clearly see through the gameplay that it is a light hearted energetic game which is mosly played in shorts
