CONCEPT ART
PRODUCTION STAGES
1.
 This is the early stages of my
character concept art being
developed this included the body
armour that my character would
reside in.
2.
 Made a few changes to the
body armour including rank
slide on the left shoulder and
shoulder plates that would later
be removed, and also British
flag imprinted on the centre
pouch. I also added abit of light
reflecting of f the goggles.
3.
 Now that I had the basic
shape of my character’s
body armour I started to
work on the background
features that would make
my concept art abit more
atmospheric this involved in
a brick wall in front of the
character with slight detail
with broken bricks and a
broken fence part.
4.
 After completing the wall I
changed the colour to
make it look more military
looking. Then I worked on
the back wall, the
ground, the buildings and
road in the distance. Also
added the sky with dull
colour to give an creepy
setting.
5.
 Made the whole picture
slightly darker, and
completed the road
features. I added a few
bullet holes on the
character, on the walls and
on the fence, also adding
boards and sheets of
metal onto the wall to give
the impression of the
walls degrading over the
long period of time.
6.
 Through the stages 6 and
9 I have only adding small
features to the concept
are including background
features and minor
character tweaks.
 I made some major
adjustments including
zombies hordes in the
distance and surrounding
the walls, more detail on
the walls, added more
buildings and added more
destruction round the
main character.
7.
 Added a few dif ferent
zombie designs and
another nuclear explosion
in the distance.
8.
 Removed the knife on the
left shoulder of the
character and replaced it
with a zombie tracking
device.
9.
 Rearranged shoulder pads
and added a lense over
the character’s left eye.
FINAL RESULT
 Added a zombie hand
scratching the wall and
more background detail.
Also added a bandage on
the characters left arm.
And change the colour of
the wall
