This document provides details for a photography project to take photos of an artist for a poster advertising the Connect Music Festival in London. The photographer plans to take the photos themselves using an iPhone camera on a sunny day in June. They will take shots of the artist both looking away from and covering their face. As inspiration, they have chosen photos of the pop artist Kehlani that match the urban style of the festival. The photoshoot will take place in the photographer's house where they can control lighting and have a plain background to crop out.

Project Description:
This project includes taking photos of my artist to use on the poster of the
Connect festival which is sponsored by my magazine Stinger. The posters will be
displayed around London as the festival will be taking place in Finsbury Park,
London.
Photographer:
I will be taking the photographs myself using my iPhone 5 camera. I will take
some shots of the artists looking away and shots with her covering her face. I will
pick a bright sunny day so I will get great lighting and the artists body can then
be seen clearly.
Reference images and ideas:
The reason behind the title ‘Connect’ is that it is supposed to connote bringing
people together, which is what music festivals do bring people who love music
together to enjoy themselves.

I chose these pictures for as my pictures of inspiration because they are of a pop
artist who is quite urban in style which is what my music festival is like so I
thought her style would be great to implement into my photoshoot.
Casting:
Reasons behind WHY these people/images are suitable – Who do they look like?
I think these pictures are suitable for my poster because it follows the similar
style as my photos of inspiration with the clothes, as well as the posing, with and
without so much of a smile.
Model requirements:
I want the model to look between 20 to 25, they should also have quite a long
body so their posture clearly stands out. I want to model to closely resemble the
artist Kehlani, so they need to be a female with fairly long hair.

Wardrobe and Look:
I want the model to be wearing a denim jacket with blue jeans, as I feel this is
quite an urban look, such as the look my artist of inspiration Kehlani follows.
Where:
I will take the photos in my house where I have space to move around and adjust
lighting. Also it will be useful because I can use my wall to take the pictures
against because I intend to crop out the background so I want to background to
be plain so it can be easily cropped.
When:
I will take the photos on June 22nd 2016 at 4pm
