This document provides an overview of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guideline of Multiple Means of Representation. It describes this guideline as designing instructional materials that are accessible to diverse learners. It then lists three checkpoints within this guideline regarding providing options for perception, language/symbols, and comprehension. Each checkpoint includes example resources and strategies for meeting that checkpoint in an accessible way, such as using graphic organizers, closed captioning, vocabulary videos, and tools to guide information processing.
