This document provides instructions for registering for classes at UAlbany and CEHC. It outlines the steps to enter an Advisor Verification Number (AVN) in order to gain access to registration, how to search for and add classes using the class number, and how to finalize enrollment. Contact information is provided for advisors who can assist with any additional questions. The goals are to register for courses, learn how to search for classes, and answer any registration questions.

• REGISTER FOR SOME COURSES (IF NOT ALL)
• ANSWER QUESTIONS!

Click on ‘STUDNE’

5. Log on page. Enter
your Net ID which is
usually the first letter of
your first name and first
letter of your last name
plus a 6 or 7 digit
number. Then your
password

6. Click on ‘Academics tab a the top left of the screen.

7. First step at the
beginning of each
registration cycle is to
enter you Advisor
Verification Number,
AKA ‘AVN’.
You will do this once at
the beginning of each
registration period.

8. You will need to read each
disclosure and check all three
boxes before proceeding.
Enter your AVN here. Should be
a 5-6 digit # on your form from
Advising Services. Click Save
and it should go away meaning
you are now in.
Be sure to enter on this
upcoming term

9. Click on ‘add’ to begin to enroll in a
course.
Entering ‘Class Number’ for the
class you would like to enroll in.

10. Click on ‘my class schedule’ to see
that it is there. If you are adding an
additional class, click on ‘add’ again.
Click on ‘Next’

11. Click on ‘Proceed To Step 2
Of 3’

12. Click on ‘Finish Enrolling’

13. Green checkmark means you
are in the course. A red ‘x’
means you were not
enrolled.

14. Click on ‘my class schedule’ to see
that it is there. If you are adding an
additional class, click on ‘add’ again.
