PAST TENSE   PRESENT TENSE        FUTURE TENSE
1.- We use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about experiences.
      Examples:
    I have been abroad twice.
    Have you ever eaten sushi?
    2.- We use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about an action which started in the past
     and continuous up to now.
     Examples:
    We haven´t seen that movie yet.
    They have worked here for ten years.
     3.- We also use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about a past action that has the
     result in the present.
    I have lost my wallet    I don´t have it now.
    Have you finished your homework?        Is your homework ready?
We use the present perfect for actions that        We use the simple past for actions that occured

 Negative sentence form:
 Subject    Have/Has + not (Contraction)   past participle of main verb              complement

    I                   (I haven´t)                  been                 to Spain recently.
           have not
  You                   (You haven´t)               studied               for the exam yet.

   He                   (He hasn´t)                 bought                a new car.

  She      has not      (She hasn´t)                visited               Paris before.

   It                  (He hasn´t)                   eaten                already.

   We                  (We haven´t)                 listened              to that song.

  You      have not    (You haven´t)                 driven               a taxi since last year.

  They                 (They haven´t)               worked                there for a long time.
 Interrogative YES/NO question form:

 Have / Has         Subject   past participle of main verb              complement

                       I                been                 to Spain recently?
  Have
              You                      studied               for the exam yet?
                     He                bought                a new car?

   Has               She               visited               Paris before?

                      It                eaten                already?

                     We                listened              to that song?

  Have               You                driven               a taxi since last year?

 Interrogative WH- question form:

  • 1. English II FC-1224 PAST TENSE PRESENT TENSE FUTURE TENSE
  • 2. 1.- We use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about experiences. Examples:  I have been abroad twice.  Have you ever eaten sushi? 2.- We use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about an action which started in the past and continuous up to now. Examples:  We haven´t seen that movie yet.  They have worked here for ten years. 3.- We also use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about a past action that has the result in the present.  I have lost my wallet I don´t have it now.  Have you finished your homework? Is your homework ready?
