1. Stephanie Madlinger—@cyberteacher
I think that following Stephanie Madlinger is inspiring for anyone—especially an aspiring teacher.
Madlinger always has a positive attitude and is constantly tweeting positive quotes. She provides her
followers with links they can go to help improve their classroom. For example, she shared an image on
how to help integrate visible thinking routines in the class. She also shares cute images that express
student feedback and how it’s accepted. Madlinger is always constantly retweeting other people’s
educational tips and techniques as well. Overall, Madlinger is a fun person to follow on Twitter. She
constantly is providing teachers with tips and advice on how to make our classrooms better not only for
us, but also for our students.
The Darling Librarian—@GwynethJones
The Darling Librarian is definitely someone I will continue to follow on twitter even after I finish this
class. Gwyneth Jones is a teacher/librarian who is always sharing powerful educational videos and
photographs. My favorite thing she shared was a video about a father learning English to read his son’s
book that she posted on May 3. She also posts QR codes to different sites and nifty little things, like the
Table of Elements by the countries who discovered them. My personal opinion is that Gwyneth Jones is
a great person inside and out, who is constantly striving to help her students reach substantial levels of
success in the classroom.

2. Shannon Smith—@shannoninottawa
Shannon Smith is a principal of school (7-8 grade) in Ottawa, Canada. Most of her tweets are links to
awesome articles she’s found and shares with her followers. She is constantly tweeting links about
assessments and assessment plans. Smith is always sharing positive photographs promoting learning. I
believe that Smith is a great person for a teacher to follow. She always posts great things—articles to
make you think, articles that make you laugh, and articles that help your understanding of the learning
process.
Josh Stumpenhorst—@stumpteacher
Josh Stumpenhorst is a great teacher who constantly posts about how times are changing in learning
and promoting 21st
century education. Stumpenhorst posts about how to use Web 2.0 applications like
Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest positively in the classroom. He also posts funny photographs that can
put a smile on anyone’s face when they’re scrolling through their Twitter feed and see it. Stumpenhorst
also answers many questions from his followers daily. For example, a teacher tweeted him asking
how/what he graded and he tweeted her back a reply two times answering.
