2. Introduction
Turon with a twist – A product that offers something new, different from the mass
market turon sold in the streets now. It sells banana wrapped in spring roll wrapper
fried to crispiness. It is served with different filling such as jackfruit, strawberry,
grape, orange, chocolate, and vanilla cream. You can dish up the product with playful
designs of flavored syrups to attract customers especially the kids.
It shall cater to mid-high end market. Both Filipino and tourist alike. It aims to
encourage customer of all ages to start a healthy habit of eating nutritious banana
everyday.
The company envisions becoming a profitable and effective company that provides
livelihood, business opportunities, and employment to the Filipino youth.
Our name shall be Turrón which is the Spanish word for Turon.
3. How Unique is it?
Turon is a popular Filipino street food sold almost anywhere where food hawkers are located. It is
often plainly served in a plastic off the pan and eaten anywhere. Some high end Spanish and
Filipino restaurants serves turon as a dessert but often as plain and simple as possible.
Our turon is the main product of the store. It is made of the high quality saba type banana and
“lumpia” wrapper. Furthermore, one can experience eating turon like never before – through the
various dips and flavors we offer.
This will be the first time a Filipino street dessert is elevated into a high level of eating experience.
