The tropical rainforest has year-round warm temperatures between 72-93 degrees Fahrenheit with high rainfall between 50 to 260 inches per year. It contains many unique plant and animal species like bromeliads, carnivorous plants, orchids, epiphytes, spider monkeys, toucans, poison arrow frogs, and sloths. However, over half of the world's original rainforests have been destroyed by human activity such as logging, agriculture, and development which is threatening many species and contributing to climate change.
