The Hardware
The solution works with twotypesof beacons:
 FIXED BEACONS – Enterprise Beacons placed on walls or ceiling, used for warehouse mapping and localisation, powered
bybattery,plug or byUSB connection.
 MOBILE BEACONS – sticked on assets, used touniquely identify each specific asset, can be either Beacon One or
Enterprise, depending on asset size.

The Strategy of coverage– Fixed Beacons
 Use a plan of your warehouse and split the surface in squares of 20to 30meters width.
 Trytoidentify accessible points on the ceiling or on high vertical structures, very near tothe center of each square,where
you can place the Fixed Beacons.
 The width of each square depends on how high is the ceiling. Itis desirable that the final distance fromthe Fixed Beacon
tothe margins of the square tobe of max. 30meters.

Install Fixed Beacons
 Stick Enterprise Beacons on plane surfaces on the interior side of the ceiling, avoiding any possible contact with mobile
lifts and elevators, machines or other installations.
 Name each Fixed Beacon toprecisely identify the areacovered bythe device.

 Your entire warehouse is now mappedand covered byFixed Beacons.
 Beacons B1 and C1 could be tagged as Entry/ExitBeacons in this layout.

Install and Assign Mobile Beacons
 Mobile Beacons will be attached or screwed on a exterior surface of the Asset.
 Placing Mobile Beacons on plastic envelopes glued on packages could be auseful idea.
 Each Mobile Beacon will be assigned tothe AssetID, byusing TRACKOcloud platform.

Place Assets in the Warehouse
 After installing the Mobile Beacons, you can track your assets in the warehouse.
 Using worker’s mobile devices or dedicatedones installed at key points in the facility,youknow in real time where your
assets are. TRACKOappdoes this automatically.
 Asset locations are updated in offline mode. The updates are sent tothe server immediately when your mobile devices are
connected tothe Internet.

How the solution works
 All information is collected and updated,byusing a mobile device.
 The mobile device identifies Mobile Beacons and Fixed Beacons in its range and the mobile application associates the
Mobile Beacon with the Fixed Beacon location/area.
 When Internet connectivity is available, datais transferred in real time tothe TRACKOweb platform and all assets’
locations are updated automatically.

How to rapidly identify your Asset
 Look in the Mobile Appor TRACKOplatform tosee where the Asset was last seen.
 If you go in that specific area with your mobile device and,if youcannot identify precisely the Asset,push the “FIND”
button.
 Your phone will emit a sound with increasing intensity as you get closer tothe Asset.
