This document discusses network topologies, describing mesh, star, bus, and ring topologies. Mesh topology connects each device to every other device on the network. Star topology connects each device to a central hub. Bus topology connects all devices to a central backbone cable. Ring topology connects each device to its immediate neighbor devices in a ring.

2.  2 or more devices connected together via
wire or wire-less mode for the purpose of
communication.
 The device could be a computer or laptop or
mobile or printer….etc.

3.  Physical and logical arrangement of devices in
a network is known as Topology.
 Topology types
◦ Mesh Topology
◦ Star Topology
◦ Bus Topology
◦ Ring Topology

4.  Each device ha a dedicated point-point link to
every other devices on the network.
 In Mesh topology if a network has n devices
then n(n-1)/2 links are there.
 For example If there are 5 devices in a mesh
topology, then 5(5-1)/2=10 links are there.

6.  Each device in a network is connected with a
central device known as hub.
 If a node wants to send date to other note
then should be through the hub.

8.  All devices in a network is connected in a
central back bone cable is known as Bus link
or Bus line.
 It is a multi point network.

10.  In Ring topology each device is connected
with its immediate neighbor device.
