Writing an essay on the topic "Top Persuasive Essay Topics" can be quite challenging for several
reasons. Firstly, selecting the top persuasive essay topics requires thorough research and analysis
to identify subjects that are not only relevant but also capable of generating strong arguments.
This process involves sifting through a wide array of potential topics and assessing their potential
impact and relevance in various contexts.
Once the topics are selected, crafting persuasive arguments around them demands a deep
understanding of the subject matter and the ability to present compelling evidence and reasoning
to sway the audience's opinion. This necessitates extensive research to gather relevant data,
statistics, anecdotes, and expert opinions to support the arguments effectively.
Furthermore, structuring the essay in a coherent and persuasive manner is crucial. This involves
organizing the content logically, developing a clear thesis statement, and presenting arguments in
a persuasive sequence to build a strong case for the chosen topic. Additionally, addressing
potential counterarguments and refuting them convincingly adds another layer of complexity to
the writing process.
Moreover, writing a persuasive essay requires strong writing skills to articulate ideas effectively,
employ persuasive language and rhetorical devices, and maintain the reader's engagement
throughout the essay. This includes attention to detail, clarity of expression, and a compelling
writing style that captures the reader's interest and persuades them to adopt the writer's

Money And Price Level Essay
CHAPTER TWO
LITERATURE REVIEW
2.1 Introduction
The relationship between money supply and price level is very influential topic in
the field of macroeconomic literature, which has received greater attention among
government agencies, policy makers and researchers. This topic has been
continuously discussed in the economic society since 16th century. The general price
level of every economy is being continuously reported to be high from 16th century
to present 21st century except some years. These higher price levels compelled the
economists to carry out the study on whether over money supply are responsible to
cause inflation or there are any other reasons responsible for high price or inflation.
The economists have spent a lot of time in finding the causes of higher prices in the
economy and reached the conclusion that higher prices are caused by different factors
like unnecessary money supply, higher income, high wage rate, scarcity of
commodities, increase in cost of production, international reasons, institutional factors
etc. However, unnecessary and over money supply has been taken as the influential
factor responsible to cause inflation or higher price in the economy by most of the
economists in the world.
Any economy should bear the high social and economic cost of inflation as there is
no price stability. Over the past two decades, the policy makers are much worried
with the instability of prices keeping in mind of the negative influences of rising
price level in the
Rappacini
Rappaccini`s Daughter Rappaccini`s Daughter is gothic story written by
Nathaniel Hawthorn in 1844.the story begins with a young man Giovanni who
comes to Padua to study medicine at the university of Padua .He rents a room a
high gloomy chamber above a magical garden .The garden belongs to Dr.
Rappaccini who lives with his own daughter ,Beatric who has been poisonous by
his father .Giovanni sits by window which overlooks to the garden ,he is fascinated
by garden which are full of strange flowers and plants .One day he is attracted by

Another theme of story is about human lust for power. Rappaccini uses science as
vehicle for power over nature, through Beatric and the garden .He just, for the sake
of power through science ,treats with Beatric and the plants.Touching nothing
directly ,only looking and tending from distance. Baglioni also is represented a
person who wants to win Dr.Rappaccini so he decides to kill Beatric. And Giovanni
is not the person who truly loves Beatric .He loves her as he wants Beatric to be not
as she is. Beatric is the only human who establish real love and who wants to love
and be loved.
Giovanni is the young protagonist. That he views the garden from his lofty window
suggests his perspective on the complexity of good and evil embodied in Beatrice .
When he first begins to understand that she is dangerous, he dismisses his
suspicions as fantasy ; however, as he becomes more concerned with himself than
with her, he eventually calls her a poisonous thing who has contaminated him,
making him as hateful, as ugly, as loathsome and deadly a creature as she. By the
end of the story, his selfishness completely blinds him to her goodness, and as a
result, he gives her the antidote provided by Baglioni, in this way hoping to redeem
her from her evil nature and save her for a life of love with him. A tall, emaciated,
sallow, and sickly looking man, dressed in a scholar s garb of black, Dr. Giacomo

Orphan Train Writing Style
When I first began reading Kline s novel, Orphan Train, I originally was not a fan
of the book. In the sections featuring Molly, I felt like Kline s writing style was
poor and amateur. For example, Kline includes numerous swear words in an
attempt to make the dialogue more relatable; however, her attempt falls flat and
only increases the unnecessary amount of melodrama that exists in Molly s world.
I do not find it impressive or relatable when Molly swears at Dina or while around
Jack. To be clear, I do not have an issue with swearing, but I do have an issue with
how swearing is only included to emphasize how much Molly hates Dina and
furthers the idea that Dina is a one dimensional antagonist. Dina is portrayed as
essentially evil incarnate, she disregards Molly s dietary choices, verbally abuses
her husband and Molly, and has an insufferable personality. Dina has no redeeming
quality about her; Kline has failed to write a believable antagonist. Overall, I did not
enjoy the beginning of the novel.
Though I may dislike Kline s writing style and her portrayal of characters during the
sections with Molly, I enjoyed the sections with Vivian and all of her previous
incarnations. Not only did Kline s writing style significantly improve during these
sections, but the majority of the characters had an element of believability and
humanity to them. Even Mr. Grote who attempts to rape Dorothy does his best to
provide for his family. I m not trying to justify his actions, I m just
Stereotypes In Friday Night Lights, By Buzz Bissinger
Many movies, tv shows, and books about high school have depicted football as the
main focus. In the majority of these forms of entertainment, the high school football
players are seen as ginormous, ignoramus, fools. Buzz Bissinger portrays these
stereotypes all throughout his book Friday Night Lights. Though these depictions
may be true in some cases, playing American high schoolfootballneither limits
academic success nor future success in life. Bissinger addresses this topic through
two characters; Boobie Miles and Bryan Chavez. Boobie Miles being a stereotypical
unintelligent jock and Bryan Chavez being an academically inclined individual who
is also on the football team.
Boobie Miles is most definitely challenged academically yet football
Fluorescent Dyes Lab Report
In the past decades lasers have become evidently important to society. Lasers are
normally perceived as devices used by our hands or large boxes found in research
laboratories. Another evolvement in science that has taken place is the use of
fluorescent dyes. Fluorescent dyes have become a common use for research and
diagnostics in order to identify specific celland tissue types. The use of such a dye is
to identify for example, various chemical substances such as proteins, tag cells and
DNAand their concentration. The only problem with such dyes is only as few as
10 colours have the ability to be distinguished. These newly developed lasers
formed by fat cells are a combination of solid styrene beads. The purpose for this
evolution is to capture light that is taken from the cells which are views using a
spectrometer and thus, analyze the spectrum. It serves a function of measuring
refractive index change. Before this step forward the ability to tag cells stood at
around a couple hundred cells. Fat cells already consist of lipid droplets and act as
natural lasers as it is. They need nothing more than to be supplied with nontoxic
fluorescent dye. This new laser technology can help us further understand the cellular
process and further improve medical diagnosis and therapies. Considering the level of

If i had to expand my understanding on this topic, I would like to know if such fat
cell lasers would have the ability to notice cell change in cancerous cells before a
tumour begins to develop. I would also try to watch documentaries that outline old
methods of tagging cells and the problems that was faced with the lack of technology
and further my understanding of the accomplishment of what this laser is purposed

Abstract
Judges are the most prestigious members of the court system, but they are faced with
challenges that reflect upon there ethics, and faithfulness to the people they serve.
Often judges make careless misstates and forget that they are appointed or voted in
by the public. Therefore some judges have been removed from the bench due to their
behavior that includes, sexual allegations, taking cash, making racist and sexist
comments, and lying to a grand jury just to name a few. Voters elect some judges,
governors or the president of the United States appoints some and others are
appointed through a merit selection. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many issues may arrive because of this and create problems within the courts.
According to Skaggs (2010) A recent study of the Texas Supreme Court, found that
the more money a petitioner contributed to the justices, the more likely it was that the
court would accept a petition for review . Contributions may show that a judge is in
favor of the individual that may give the most money to there campaign which
may give true insight on what kind of judge they will be in the future. In the past
some judges have abused their office because of the lust of their flesh and the pride
of life. Many have given over to the power and prestige of the office instead of
walking in humility of the office of judge.
The article Are Campaign Contributions Compromising The Independent Judiciary
also gives verification that there are issues within our current system today.
According to Jefferson People doubt that a judge who have received campaign
contributions from a lawyer will remain neutral when deciding the donor s case
(Jefferson, 2010). People may not really care about the reputation of a judge but
rather look at how much money that particular judge have spent on there campaign.
This type of actions by canadates has affected the public views by decreasing the
public confidence in America s courts. By adopting a system where judges are
seeking a judges seat would eliminate much of the negative response by the people.
By focusing on a candidate s work ethic and
Innovation in Apple
Innovation in Apple, Inc.
Part I: Thinking a technological innovation
Apple Inc, is incorporated in 3 January 1977 as a multinational corporation which
serves as a manufacturer and designer in the consumer electronics sector. Their focus
point is production, marketing and support service of personal computers, computer
hardware and software portable mp3 players, portable video players and finally
mobile phones with the multimedia function. The company is located in USA,

Convincing an ordinary user switching to Apple system, quality but also price
burden related to elegancy, is undoubtedly tough. Although Apple serves much
more qualified products they are not preferred for regular usage. Apple accepted
failure in computer market and search for another field to make a great impact.
After a well planned strategy iPod portable media players are introduced to market
as the innovative product of Apple. iPod first entered to market in 2001 with a great
impact. The reason for involvement for this new product is based on it s elegant
design and compatibility with legal mp3 downloading system iTunes. Unquestionably
there were existing digital music players. But the main problem with existing
products is the memory limitations and design. With iPods circular console works
through touchpad logic. In addition with color and size choices iPod provide
variety. iPod can play MP3, AAC/M4A, Protected AAC, AIFF, WAV, Audible
audiobook, and Apple Lossless audio file formats. The iPod photo introduced the
ability to display JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, and PNG image file formats. The target
market of iPod is namely young generation. Because iPod is a product which is
practical, directly related with technology and reflecting lifestyle preferences. iPod
is seen as the product which give rise to entry of Windows users to the Apple way of
life. The most essential reason for iPod being so successful is iPod and iTunes
compatibility. iTunes is a program
I Am Studying For New Degree
Ten years passed, now I m studying for new degree in U.S. While I m living in
another city with my family, but I have never forgotten my high school. This
summer, I went back to my country to visit my grandparent and travel. I promised
with myself go back to visit my high school, that I could find on my childhood that
my childhood associated with high school, where I considered my second home.
In the afternoon, I rode on the bike around these streets, and my city changed a lots.
The coffee shop in the streets, where I went to school everyday disappeared, but the
trees in the street side still there. My wheels were rolling on the road, and I seemed
back to my childhood. The entrance of high school was bigger and too wide. The
new doors are controlled by electronically replaced for the iron doors. The old
fences changed the white high walls. My heart suddenly became troubled.
Entering the school door, a protector, who older than me required me to stop. I told
that I was an old student of school, and I want to visit my school. He looked me and
didn t believe me. Suddenly, a young teacher came out, she was the same of my
age, and her body was graceful. On her face, a sharp very familiar appeared on my
mind. The guard shouted loudly: Is she Minh Trang? Let s me help you to find a
park for your motorcycle! I suddenly realized that she was my old friend and
shouted: Minh Trang, huh? I m Tu Anh! I learned that the same class 11A. Do you

Analysis Of The Scarlet Letter
In the corners of Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, stand two fascinating
characters Pearl and Roger Chillingsworth. In the story, Pearl is the illegitimate
child of the protagonist, Hester Prynne, and the minister, Arthur Dimmesdale,
while Chillingsworth is Hester s estranged husband who everyone thought was
dead. Both of these two supporting characters have a surreal presences and each
are deeply involved in Hester s life, particularly her life after the discovery of her
adultry. With as many similarities as they have, the reader may question what the
respective rolls of these two characters are. Much has been said about the
characters individually, but in this paper I will explore how the characters relate
to each other in the telling of the story. Based on the similarities, differences, and
roles that the characters play in the story; I will explain how they many in fact be
read as foils of one another. Foils are characters who contrast starkly from one
another in order to highlight each other s traits. More often than not, the foils are
created to be very similar in the beginning so that their differences stand out more
clearly later on. This literary device is typically played out between a hero and a
villain. In this mode, the characters of Chillingsworth and Pearl start out in the
novel similarly. In addition to their relation to Hester and her sin, both characters
are also associated with the wild. Pearl, as a child, is described as being
Conspiracy Theory Research Paper
Over the years there have been many occurrences that have led to many suspicious
citizens that do not believe the answers that they receive which has led to the
creation of conspiracy theories, and many of them. Some of them make sense and
provide factual information and support yet others are more abstract and do not
contain much proof and if they do contain proof it is quickly deemed as false. In
some cases some conspiracy theoriesturn out to be the truth. The definition of a
conspiracy theoryis an explanatory hypothesis that accuses a person or group of
people of planning and or covering up major events that have occurred throughout

History of Space Exploration
Introduction to the History of space exploration
To start the researching of the future of the space exploration the very first thing we
should do is to look through a history of this particular topic. The main reason for
this is because the history is a fundamental background for our understanding and
knowledge. Aeronautical engineering does not have a long and deep history,
compared to many things. Moreover, some information cannot be proved nowadays
and that is why the only one thing that we can do is to suppose and rely on
accessible sources.
Every year we are using more and more modern technologies in order to try to
explore our solar system, unknown planets and deep space. However, we should
think that our ancestors could not even believe that the physical space exploration
will ever become a reality since antiquity. (Aerospace, n.d.)
When we ponder over the early history of the space investigation we encounter the
unquestionable fact that it used to be mostly theoretical. For instance, Isaac Newton
established his book about the required mathematics knowledge for space exploring
in 1687 (BBC Isaac Newton, 2014). There are some other people, like a Swiss
scientist Leonhard Euler and Italian mathematician Joseph Louis Lagrange who were
undoubtedly necessary in the 18th and 19th centuries with their scientific works. In
spite of all the factors, aeronautics has not become a practical discipline until the
middle of the 20th century (Galileo Rice, n.d.).
1.2 History of
Expansion Of Influenza
For lack of better words Influenza is a nasty little bugger , it can make you sick for
up to a week and it leaves its victim lying in bed until their better; but nowadays we
can get a simple vaccine to keep this pest at bay, but back in the day it wasn t this
simple. Influenza spreads very fast, that hasn t changed, but how we deal with it has.
When influenzawas first a major problem spreading from an Asian to a European
environment it had many opportunities to continue spreading, and it did. This was
because of the many trade routes in the areas, and the growing population in both
areas. Influenza continued its expansion by making the host cough and sneeze
spreading it through the air. Influenza was not a unique pandemic, but many others
How Does Globalization Affect The Economy Of Sydney
As a result of this economic drive, an influence was evident on the spatial economic
makeup of Sydney. The unemployment map of the city was distributed into two
opposing fragments, illustrative of contemporaneous social geography. The highest
rates of unemployment were marked in the western and south western suburbs, while
the lowest rates occupied the northern suburbs. In place of this, the service sector,
specifically finance, business, retail, community service, professional, and wholesale,
sprouted. However, this was not sufficient to counterbalance the unemployment rates.
In 1996, the services industry comprised a large 40% of employment, a step up from
just 24% in 1971 (Fagan Webber 1999), of which was concentrating in the inner city
and neighbouring regions (Forster 2006). In observation of these dynamics, the
extent to which the urban layout of progressive producer services and the additional
locations of corporate headquarters have been altered by the forces of globalisation is
evident.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But in conjunction with this socio spatial cleavage , and decentralisation of
employment for a large number of people, such an arrangement also led to a high
level of automobile use. 58% of workers in Sydney were now travelling to work by
car (Forster 2004). Accordingly, this spatial mismatch of the city is further evident
upon observing that residents in the outer areas were made to travel lengthier
distances in order to access high order employment, with a lack of these jobs being
situated in the outward
Hollywood s Asians Essay
Hollywood s Asians
Asian Americans have been part of America for almost as long as its existence. From
the Chinese laborers building the transcontinental railway, inner cities laundry
services, to Asian farmers who have helped build the agriculture communities around
the country, Asian American have contributed to the industries and economy of
America. Despite their loyalty and contributions to this country, Asian Americans
have been discriminated and considered as unassimilable by many Americans.
Racism toward Asian is further extended by Hollywood s use of yellow face, where
Caucasian actors applied make up and prosthetics to pose as Asians, stereotypes such
yellow peril and orientalism. (Garcia, 13) From the beginning of motion ... Show

As the popularity of Fu Manchu increased, Hollywood was quick to take advantage
and portray this character as a threat to white supremacy.
According to Eugene Franklin Wong s The Early Years: Asians in the American
Films Prior to World War II, Rohmer, the creator of Fu Manchu stated I MADE MY
MANE ON FU MANCHU BECAUSE I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT the Chinese... I
know something about Chinatown. But that is a different matter. (Wong, 57) This
presented a problem as the whole perception of Dr. Fu Manchu was based on
generalization and ignorance. Unfortunately, ignorance of Asian culture became the
root of Asian characters in motion pictures. The ambiguity and general facelessness
of Asian characters and communities lead to the creation of a low budget film called
Chan is Missing (1981) by Wayne Wang. As two amateur detective cab drivers search
the San Francisco s Chinatown for the mysterious Chan, but never do find him or
even reach any conclusion about why he is missing. (Marchetti, 53)
Kyaw 3
On the other hand, Hollywood s depictions of different ethnic Asian are not always
negative or evoke racism. As the news Japan s military growth and reaches the
shores of America, characters such as Fu Manchu and General Yen which portrayed
dangerous Chinese warlords disappear from the screen. The Japanese Imperialist
troops became the replace for the stereotypical evil Asian characters. (Marchetti, 41)

Motivational Theories And Concepts From The Lesson
Q: 1. Select three motivational theories or concepts from the lesson. Write a
recommendation which includes a brief explanation of each theory or concept and
why you selected it. Include key terms and concepts from the textbook.
What are motivation theories, and what roles due they play in the workplace; while
continuing to motivate staff employees? Well, motivationdetermines how a person
will exert his or her effort, it represents the forces operating on the person to exert
effort, as well as the direction in which the effort will be exerted (DeNisi Griffin,
2014, pp. 286). Motivation is a key element needed in the workplace to continue to
keep it running smooth and efficient. This is why a variety of theories have been
developed, and applied in helping to find alternatives in making things excitable;
and enjoyable. Some of those theories are as follows: reinforcement theory,
expectancy theory; and equity theory. With these theories in place, it doesn t mean it
will be a picture perfect solution to get your staff more productive; or inspired to
perform without effetely. This is also something the Human Resource Management
can get involved in, while finding ways to get their staff engaged in activities; to
boost their morale. However, no one model of motivation is guaranteed to work in all
situations for all people, instead it may take several different models of motivation, to
provide us with insights into how to motivate them; with this we can formulate a

Importance Of Comics And Gns In English Novels
COMICS AND GRAPHIC NOVELS A POWERFUL TOOL FOR THE ENGLISH
LANGUAGE TEACHERS IN INDIA
Chumki Biswas, Ph.D. in English
University of Mumbai
ABSTRACT While the 1940s saw the Golden Age of Comics, the Graphic Novel
(GN), a sub set of comics is now the fastest growing book genre in the US. The
potential pedagogical value of Comics and GNs have caught the attention of the
English Language Teaching (ELT) community. In the last decade many experimental
language instructors have realised that Comics and GNs can be a valuable teaching
tool in the classroom that can facilitate Basic Interpersonal Communicative Skills
(BICS) as well as Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC) in learners.
Though there is substantial research expounding the advantages of using Comics and
GNs for ELT, these texts have not yet become an integral part of school and college
curricula. Against such a background this paper highlights the reasons why it is
imperative that the Indian education system should include Comics and GNs in the
language learner s curriculum. Authentic texts like Comics and GNs will help in
acquiring language proficiency by increasing learner motivation, facilitating
contextual understanding, elucidating on conversational maxims and providing input
on cultural interactions. The narrative material of Comics and GNs is so diverse that
it can appeal both to young and adult learners, while reducing affective filters and
encouraging multimodal reading skills. Key Words:
Philadelphia Museum Experience
Few museums last the test of time. For years the Philadelphia Museum of Art have
continued to invest in their visitors, providing them with an environment where they
can create memorable experiences. The Philadelphia Museum of Art began as an art
gallery at the Centennial Exhibition in 1876. The Centennial Exhibition, more
notably known as the World s Fair, was held in Fairmount Park, in Philadelphia, to
celebrate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
After the Exhibition, the PMA art gallery moved into an already constructed building,
Memorial Hall, and became the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art.

Today, they continue to offer several workshops for children and adults in the form
of museum tours, films, lectures, performances, art classes, family art tours, etc. In
addition, today the PMA has majority of their permanent collection available online
for public viewing, in addition to allowing online access to their library and
archives services. In addition, they have additional resources available to schools,
colleges and teachers. They even offer a resource called distance learning where they
have instructions on how to tour their museum from the convenience of the
classroom or the comfort of your own home. That is an incredible resource alone. In
addition to staying mission focused, the PMA is taking great strides to extend their

The Battle Of Chancellorsville As General Robert E. Lee
Civil War historians view the Battle of Chancellorsville as General Robert E. Lee s
greatest and most remarkable victory (Sears 1). Lee, facing an army twice his size,
defies all military doctrine and divides his army multiple times in order to out
maneuver and surprise the Union forces. The daring maneuver succeeds and
ultimately forces the Union s Army of the Potomac to retreat. The victory was
another major blow to Union troops, but it came at a huge cost to the Confederacy:
the loss of General Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson. By evaluating the battle through
the lens of the mission command activities, one can see how Lee s daring maneuver
was actually very calculated and his only option for victory. Throughout the rest of
this paper, I will describe the timeline of the battle and how General Lee used the
mission command activities of understand, visualize, assess, and lead to ultimately
achieve victory at Chancellorsville. After the Union s defeat at Fredericksburg in
December of 1862, President Abraham Lincolnonce again made a change in the
Union Armys leadership. General Ambrose Burnside was replaced with Major
General Joseph Hooker. Hooker and Lincoln both agreed that the key to victory in
the war was the destruction of Lee s Army in a decisive battle (Sears 57 62). Hooker
s plan to accomplish this was to use his 130,000 soldiers and launch a double
envelopment of Lee s 60,000 men still camped at Fredericksburg. Between April 27
and May 1 of 1863, Hooker
Skeletal Muscle Vs Muscle
In producing movement bones, support the body, and provide leverage for the
skeletal muscles of the body (Sailey, pg. 113). The muscles, skeletal muscles work
together, a system of pairs when one contracts (shorter) the other relaxes (longer) and
causes joints to move (Sailey, pg. 113). The nerves, signals are sent to the brian and
then to the synapses to muscles.
The sliding filament theory of muscle contraction is basically saying the myosin thick
filaments slide past actin thin filaments during muscle contraction. I believe the
sarcomere would be an example of this occurring.
Both skeletal and cardiac muscle are striated, however skeletal muscle is voluntary
and controls movement. While cardiac muscle is involuntary.

My Experience At A Restaurant
My experience at Borgne restaurant In life there are many experiences, good and
bad. Good experiences being those that we vaguely remember and usually forgot as
time goes by. And bad experiences being those that we remember and learn from;
which impact and play a very important role in the life of every chef. No kitchenis
perfect, every kitchen is different. It takes time for you to find the perfect kitchen
and get used to the environment. Borgne was one of those bad experiences that I
will never forget. The first day I walked into Borgne, Chef David gave me the usual
tour of the kitchen and the typical introduction to the cooks and the front staff.
When I introduced myself as being a CIA student, one of the chefs laughed and
said ha no CIA student ever makes it in this kitchen . I responded trying to defend
the CIA s reputation by saying I m not one of those CIA students. And that s how it
all began. After the group meeting, I was given my black chef coat (which I hate
because you can see everything on them) and nothing else. I was then sent home and
told to be ready for the next day. I spent the entire day thinking about what chef said
to me and what it meant. What did they do wrong, and what I can do to be better than
them. Were they trying to intimidate me or were they just playing around. This
question was brought up multiple times throughout my experience. Next morning I
woke up 3 hours early to figure out the bus system. I was late that day due to
confusion,

scenes. White ground is a form of art used by Athenians in which they created the
vase, fired it, and then the lekythos was painted in white. The figures and scenes were
then painted on top of the white ground. This method meant that the paintings did not

Secondly, some lekythoi were filled with scented oils and perfumes and placed
around the body, while others were set along the approach to the grave or placed
beside the tomb (Reference #5). This was done as a part of the religious focus of
the burial ceremony, and was given as an offering. Lastly, a lekythos would often
be brought to the gravesite or tomb of the deceased after the burial. It was very
important to ancient Greeks to visit the gravesite of loved ones quite often, and
when they visited, they would bring offerings to the deceased such as fruit, a feast,
or a lekythos filled with olive oil or perfume (Reference #6).
In time, the Lekythos was developed into a much larger version of itself, being
called Huge Lekythoi . These were often left on top of a grave, or beside a tomb
opening, almost as an ancient grave marker (Reference #7). Though they would
not be inscribed with any words or the name of the deceased, they would have a
painted scene depicting the deceased, some scene from their life, or a scene
depicting a sport or activity the deceased greatly enjoyed. Many lekythoi have been
recovered and are currently housed in museums all over the world. Though many are
not in their original glory, most have been reconstructed. New lekythoi have been
made in Greece and are still used today in some small Greek communities during the
preparation of the body, and left by
Persuasive Essay On Seat Belt Safety
Did you know that every hour, someone dies in a car crash for not wearing his or her
seat belt? When you are driving or even riding in a vehicle, buckling your seat belt
will decrease your chance of death or serious injury, if you are involved in a severe
accident. Seat belts are there regarding to your safety and protection for the
prevention of your life being in danger. In 2015, seat beltuse in passenger vehicles
saved an estimated 13,941 lives, according to National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration (Seat Belts np). Recognizing the importance, consequences, and
how an individual can deal with the problem are the key aspects to this solution.
According to the CDC, a total of 22,441 passenger vehicle occupants died in motor
vehicle traffic crashes and 2.5 million passengers were treated for injuries in 2015
(Motor Vehicle Safety np). More than half of the 22,441 occupants were
unrestrained, or not held in place by a seat belt. People that do not wear a seat belt,
are 30 times more effective being ejected from the vehicle at the time of the crash
and 3 out of 4 people who are ejected during a fatal crash die from their injuries
(Motor Vehicle Safety np). Ejection from a vehicle will not stop you from flying
across the highway, because inertia and gravity will keep moving your body
forward. What is the cause for us not wearing our seat belts? According to the
NHTSA, people get in a hurry, distraction, or simply forgetting is the main cause for
not wearing our seat
Summary Of The Joy Luck Club
Paragraph 2 of page 9 fits well into The Joy Luck Club. During this passage, Jing
Mei Woo tells the story about why her mother, who passed away, moved to
America. So you can see how quickly Kweilin lost its beauty for me. I no longer
climbed the peaks to say, How lovely are these hills! I only wondered which hills
the Japanese had reached. I sat in the dark corners of my house with a baby under
each arm, waiting with nervous feet and scurried to the deep caves to hide like
wild animals. But you can t stay in the dark for so long. Something inside of you
starts to fade and you become like a starving person, crazy hungry for light.
Outside I could hear the bombing. Boom! Boom! And then the sound of raining
rocks. And inside I was no longer hungry for the cabbage or the turnips of the
hanging rock garden. I could only see the dripping bowels of an ancient hill that
might collapse on top of me. Can you imagine how it is, to want to be neither
inside nor outside, to want to be nowhere and disappear? (9) The paragraph talks
about the place where her mom, Suyuan Woo, hid from the Japanese. She talked
about how the place was once beautiful and gave her hope, but after the place was
attacked the beauty of it was strained away. In the beginning of the paragraph it
says, How lovely are these hills! but at the end it she states, I could only see the
dripping bowels of an ancient hill that might collapse on top of me. Can you imagine
how it is, to want to be neither inside or
Before 1990 and the emergence of disaster risk reduction...
Before 1990 and the emergence of disaster risk reduction or (DRR), humanitarianism,
which is fueled by the fervent belief in the kindness of strangers remained largely
unchallenged as the preferred approach to disaster management. (Hannigan 42).
Humanitarian action is taken on a moral claim and human rights are almost always
based on a legal claim. Activism and humanitarianismhave taken parallel courses in
recent years, due to the fact that the basis for intervention has shifted from
intervening states toward individual victims of abuses. (Hannigan 43). Not only has
there been a shift in intervention, but in how responses to humanitarian emergencies
victims find themselves are handled. I will explore the changes in responses to...

It falls short on explaining why things like the famine in Ethiopia should have
escalated into a complex emergency the way it did. Ethiopia was ravaged by drought
that caused a famine that killed thousands of citizens in the African nation. Many
nations and organizations stepped in to help but ran into many roadblocks in trying
to do so. Due to severe mismanagement of relief funds and food by the government,
those who needed help were not getting it.
The U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), was more concerned as to
how to the government would respond to distributing whatever food was received
rather than address the drought and impending famine. (Keller 615). The FAO
even denied the government assistance in 1981 and 1984, due to projected needs.
Even the U.S. delayed responding to the crisis. They cut food donations from 8,172
metric tons in 1982 to zero in 1984, even though millions were at risk of dying
because of the famine. (Keller 615). This source was proof that even though
international organizations exist, they can experience pitfalls and setbacks that
Hannigan does not address. We have come a long way from the famine in Ethiopia
and in 2014; we would not have responded the way the Reagan administration did.

The Testament Of Isaiah And Isaiah
Throughout the Old Testament God carried out his plan to bring His people back
to Him. Often the people of Israel would fall away from their relationship with
God by worshipping false Idols such as Baal or by disobeying His commands in
general. One of the main ways God got his message of redemption to His people
was via prophets, spiritually gifted individuals that God lifted up to communicate
His will to the people of Israel. The prophets Jeremiah and Isaiah often were used
to call Israel out on their wickedness, and to warn then of God s coming judgement
that would teach them a lesson. It is clear from what the prophets wrote, that God
very much intended to wipe the sins of the nation s away, one way or another. This
is a message that still very much applies today, Isaiah and Jeremiah were meant to
steer God s people back to Him and their messages with Christians today are
supposed to do the same. Judah and Israel in their time were constantly full of sins
and needing to be cleansed. In the beginning of Isaiah, he opens by stating that they
were a sinful nation, A people laden with iniquity, A brood of evildoers, Children
who are corrupters! They have forsaken the lord. (Isaiah 1:4, New King James
Version). The sins of Judah and Israel were many and that is why God sent the
prophets with the message they gave. In attempt to warn the people that disobeying
God s commandments would lead to harsh punishment. It is apparent that God did
respond to the sins harshly. In
A Philip Randolph
A. Philip Randolph
Daneka Ruiz
Born on April 15, 1889 in Crescent City, Florida, Reverend James W. and Elizabeth
Randolph gave birth to their second son, Asa Philip Randolph. James worked as a
tailor and minister, while Elizabeth worked as a seamstress. Both of his parents were
supporters of equality for African Americans as well as general human rights. Being
black during that era meant having to live through difficult circumstances while
striving to survive. Through the guidance and nurture from his parents, Asa inherited
his compassion and drive towards racial inequality. In 1891, the Randolph s moved to
Jacksonville, Florida, which had a positive, and well established African American
community.

At an early age Asa was shown just how cruel the world of racism could be after
him and his father were returning clothing that the Reverend had repaired. The
client, being a white man, became angry and embarrassed that a black man would
walk onto a white man s property, and therefore chased them both out. On another
occasion, Reverend James was approached by a group of African American men
who whispered something in his ear. Upon hearing the news, the Reverend fetched
his shotgun, gave it to his wife, loaded his pistol, and left. A black man had been
accused of raping a white woman and was thrown in jail. Rumors were floating
around that the accused man would be lynched by an angry white mob. Reverend
James and a few others marched to the police station in hopes of defending the man.
There was a small chance of the man having a fair trial, but at least he had not been
lynched.
Because continuing education was not the norm for African Americans, Asa and his
brother looked for work after graduating high school. Asa landed a job at the Union
Life insurance Company. He then floated from job to job. Reverend James had
different anticipations for his boys. Knowing that his first born never really followed
his faith, he turned to Asa in hopes of him becoming a minister. The reverend felt
that he would be ideal due to his experience in public speaking and popularity, but
Asa was not so sure. He was more interested in what the future held for African
Americans. At that
Compare And Contrast A Rose For Emily And Everyday Use
In both short stories, A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner and Everyday Use by
Alice Walker, two characters can be described as similar. These characters are very
similar in two very different ways. Each character seems to want, and yearn for
something that is not theirs. They both feel that they need something, so they
become very bitter and vengeful. In A Rose for Emily , Emily, the main character,
wanted a man in her life. After her father died many years ago, she felt the need for
a man in her life, and along came Homer Barron. Homer Barron was not your
typical man, it was stated that he liked men, which at the time was not an indicator
of him being homosexul but rather meant that he liked being out with the boys
and enjoyed his time away. Therefore Emily could not have him like she wanted. In
Everyday Use , Dee desperately wanted Mama s quilt. The quilt was going to be
inherited by Maggie instead of Dee. Dee, most of the time, neglected to give the
mother the attention that she deserved. She was not a big family person, you could
say. While Dee is very accomplished and very bright, she lacked on her interpersonal

vengeful, but with her words rather than her actions. Some of Dee s words were very
hurtful to the family. After the quilts were promised to Maggie, Dee was furious.
Although Maggie is intimidated enough to surrender the beloved quilts to Dee, the

The Holy Virgin Church in Harat Zuwayla
Forms and Symbolism: Manifestation of Christian Beliefs in Art and Architecture
Picture showing the altar of the church
Christianity was first introduced to Egypt through the teachings of Saint Mark the
Evangelist, the founder of the Coptic Church and the writer of the oldest gospel
available to date. As a result, various worshiping houses or churches were built in
Egypt throughout the Coptic era. These churches were deeply influenced by the
Christian beliefs and this can be clearly seen in their interior and exterior structure.
One good example of an ancient church founded long ago in Egypt is the Holy Virgin
Church in Harat Zuwayla.
The Holy Virgin Church in Harat Zuwayla is one of, if not the oldest churches in
Egypt. As El Makrizi once said, it was founded around 352 AD before the city of
Cairo was to be known by almost 6 centuries. During the Holy family s flight while
visiting Egypt, they passed by the church s location, they rested and took shelter in
Harat Zuwayla where there was a well which was believed to be blessed by the Christ.
Essay On Luxury Hotel
Delhi is one of India s most popular travel destinations for a good reason. There is
much to see and experience in the city with world class hotels and some of India s
most famous festival celebrations. Even for a seasoned traveller, any trip to Delhi
should still be preceded with some knowledge of the city to avoid overwhelm or an
unpleasant experience for a first time visitor. Here are some things to think about:
1.Hotel Amenities
If you decide to go with luxury hotels in chanakyapuri, Delhi such as The Imperial,
many of the on site amenities will prevent the need for unnecessary trips and can
provide a memorable travel experience in themselves. The Imperial, for instance,
has a spa, gym, salon and even a yoga studio where you can get instruction on
meditation from an expert. There is no need to be ripped off by street shoe shiners
when the hotel can provide one for you complimentary. You can even buy your
souvenirs without having to leave the hotel. You could pick up treats from the hotel s
patisserie or clothes from the boutique.
2.Airport Transport
This is a big part of your trip to think about as it can leave you drained before your
vacation has even started or take too much time and stress and ruin your vacation.
Most luxury hotels provide a shuttle service which can take as little as half an hour

The Gospel Of Matthew 28
INTRODUCTION
Before one can look into and understand the Great Commission, it would be prudent
to gain a better understanding of the text. The Book of Matthew is an account of the
life of Jesus from birth through his death and even resurrection. The final chapters of
Matthew focus on the final days of Jesus life on earth. Chapters twenty six through
twenty eight pay close attention to the Last Supper, Jesus prayer in the Garden,
Judas role as betrayer, Jesus s trial, his final words and burial. Matthew continues on
to tell of the risen savior from his borrowed tomb and his command for the disciples
to continue the work that he had begun, to make disciples in all nations.
The Gospel of Matthew 28:16 20 is what has been coined as the Great Commission
where Jesus gave a command to the eleven disciples to take up his work that he
had been teaching them and go make disciples of men as they traveled. After Jesus
Christ s death on the cross, he was buried and resurrected on the third day. Before
he ascended into heaven, he appeared to his disciples in Galilee and gave them
these instructions: Matthew 28:18 20 Then Jesus came to them and said, All
authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:16 20 NIV

The Importance Of Volunteer Work
One of the best feelings in the world, is knowing that you have made an impact in
someone s life. Volunteer work is one of my favorite things to pass the time. I love
seeing the warm smiles on others faces. I work with youth, the elderly, animal
shelters, and cleaning up parks. I thoroughly enjoy working with kids. Getting to play
with them, spend time with them, and mentor to them fills me with ecstatic joy. I
have volunteered with kids who have special needs, orphans, and children with
hearingloss, I have also been a coach with flag football. Three years ago, I
volunteered at my church with a program called Revive. I worked with a wide
variety of special needs kids in this program. Mainly kids with down syndrome.
With many of them I had to speak much slower than I usually would. And often
times, I had to repeat myself many times. I had to learn that developing the skills
needed to work with these kids was not a one time deposit that would cover you
for the rest of your life. My main goal with these kids was to make an impact on
their life. In order to do this, you have to learn the child s prefered way of
communication. Some liked talking, some liked to draw pictures, and some liked to
simply just show you what they wanted. Working with these kids required extreme
patience, a patience that will become easier to develop in life and ultimately in my
career as an attorney. I mentioned it before, mentoring to kids really inspires me. I

Gambling Disorder And Its Effects On Society
Gambling disorder involves the urge to gamble continuously despite financial and
social consequences or a desire to stop. It is seen as being out of control and
dominating the person s life. It is important to note that most gambling is not
associated with a mental disorder as it is often a form of recreation in many cultures
around the world. Gambling can be defined as placing something of value at risk in
the hopes of gaining something of greater value (Potenza, 2008). Pathological
gambling affects approximately between 0.1 percent and 2 percent of the population
(Petry, 2016).
Pathological gambling is listed in the DSM 5 chapter entitled Substance Related
and Addictive Disorders . However, it differs from substance use disorders because
those involve the brain experiencing repeated exposure to toxic chemicals as well as
the experience of the physiological mechanisms of tolerance and withdrawal. As
gambling disorder is a behavioral addiction, toxic chemicals and their effect on
tolerance and withdrawal do not really apply. Gambling disorder is the first
disorder to be included as a non substance behavioral addiction in the DSM 5. Since
1980, pathological gambling, now called gambling disorder, has been included in
the DSM, though it was previously classified as an Impulse Control Disorder Not
Otherwise Specified (Petry, 2016). Now it has been classified with the substance use
disorders because of their similar symptoms such as preoccupation with gambling and

The actors both showed confidence in their movements with their dance partners. For
example, Grey connected with Johnny s character with joyous facial expressions and
her defined stage presence when on stage. This confidence was mostly seen by the
audience when her character had a deeper connection with Johnny at the end of the
film. Travolta did the same throughout the film by dancing within his whole body.
This includes abdominal isolations and movements of his arms and legs. Also,
through his facial expressions and expressive body language. Travolta and Grey
both showed expressions of passion and happiness when dancing as well as eye
contact with their partners. However, the types of expressions shown by the actors
were different. For example, Grey had to portray Baby as a scared dancer due to
her character not being used to dirty dancing at the beginning of the film. She did
this through tense body language and scared eyes that can be seen by the audience.
Grey needed these expressions to be seen by the audience for the viewers to
understand how her character was unsure of her performance and had some
insecurities. Travolta showed sassy facial expression within his dancing to show the
characters confidence. For example, he would make kissy faces and bite his tongue
when dancing with his partners. Because of the facials expressed by the actors, the
audience can see the characters
Gnathostoma s Roundworm Disease
Gnathostoma is a roundworm parasite that is not normally found in humans. The
roundworm is passed from the host to a water bug called a Cyclops. It then is
passed to a fish, snake or frog and finds its way into the muscle of the infected
creature. It can then be passed to humans when they consume the infected animals
meat. The patient in the book acquired the parasite from eating a raw cobra heart
while traveling to see his family in Vietnam. In humans the larval form of the worm
cannot develop in the stomach so it moves into the muscle of its human victims. It
would then travel to under the skin. It would then move throughout the body for a
period of 4 to 12 years. The migration of the worm through the body is due to it not
being use to a human host. The migration of the worm can lead to the brain and
cause death in particularly severe cases.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eosinophils are white blood cells that attack foreign intruders in the body. A high

Britain s The European Union
Britain took a giant leap of faith when they decided to leave the European Union.
Some might look at this decision being unprecedented as a good thing; but that s
exactly why it s a bad thing. Britain needs the EU to survive, the same way that the
EU needs Britain to thrive the way they do. The British exit from the European Union
, or Brexit in short, is the name for the recently passed referendum involving the
UK s decision to part ways with the European Union. The vote took place on June
23, 2016 and passed. The decision to leave the European Union won by 52% to
48%. The vote was very close which raises an ample amount of concern. Contrary
to what those 52% of voters believe, the decision to leave the EU was bad in many
ways. Brexit now has the potential to yield devastating outcomes on the UK and
every nation attached to them. One great concern following Brexit is whether or not
Erasmus will remain intact. Erasmus stands for European Community Action Scheme
for the Mobility of University Students. Erasmus is essentially a higher education
and exchange program that gives access to students in universities from 33 different
countries. According to Ed Vulliamy of The Observer, since the program was
launched in 1987, more than two million young people have benefitted from EU
funded grants to study in 27 countries (Vulliamy). The Erasmus program clearly has
a multitude of benefits to UK students, and it is safe to say that nobody opposes it. It

A. Introduction As shown by the Griffith criterion, tensile strength of brittle materials
is theoretical 1/8 of the compressive strength. Typically, tensile strengthof rock
materials is about 1/10 to 1/8 of the compressive strength. Hence, rock fails easily
under tension. In design, rock should be subjected to minimum tensile stress. Several
methods are commonly used to test the tensile strength of rocks: 1. Direct tensile
test: Metal caps are cemented to the end surfaces of the samples so that tensile load
can be applied to the samples until failure. 2. Brazilian ... Show more content on

According to the Griffith theory of failure, the critical point ought to be the centre
where the ratio of compression to tension (in terms of magnitude) is 3. With a
principal stress ratio of 3, failure ought to result from the application of the tensile
stress alone, without any complication from the simultaneous compression parallel to
the eventual rupture plane.
There are 2 possible modes of failure of the splitting tension specimen: 1. Axial
splitting along vertical diameter 2. Shear and crushing failure at loading (occurs
when the width of the contact area between the jaws and the disc is large)
Theoretically, the rock specimen should fail at the centre of specimen (largest
induced tensile stress), yet the experimental results shown that the failure occurs
along the vertical diameter as the induced tensile stresses are more or less the same
except for points next to the loading jaws. In other words, the rupture of the
specimen in the Brazil test usually occurs along a single tensile type fracture across
the diameter aligned with the axis of loading.

Sea anemones feed from the surrounding water by catching small micro organisms in
their tentacles. For this reason, anemones need constant water to survive which is
why none were observed in the boulder area as an area with constant water cannot
be guaranteed. Sand is another factor which is present in the boulder area, but not in
the rock pools. Sea cucumbers were thriving closer to the low tide mark in the
boulder area, yet none were observed in the rock pool area. Sea cucumbers are
almost always found laying spread out across the sand, with their feeding tubes out,

time and time again by the presence and habits of specific organisms in each area
that the abiotic factors of each area affect the ability for an organism to survive in that
system.

Essay Paranoia
Paranoia
If it has been confirmed that brain equals behavior, then why don t we fear our own
thought processes? Persons with paranoia disorder are not aware that they are in
fear of their own brains, but in some respect fear of oneself and what ones brain can
create is exactly what persons with paranoia disorder experience. Everyone
experiences small doses and bouts of paranoia on nearly a daily basis, but not
everyone exists on its affects. Those with paranoia disorder deal with a constant
nagging that they cannot control because it tends to control them, hence your brain
as your enemy. Though the causes of paranoia are not clearly defined in either social
or medical fields, the obvious truth is that paranoia stems from the brain ... Show

Biologically some studies of schizophrenia and other psychosis have shown actual
irregularities in the composition and functions of a paranoid brain. The search
[for abnormal brain chemistry] has become very complex, as more and more of
the chemical substances that carry messages from one nerve cell to another the
neurotransmitters have been discovered (1). Many examinations of the paranoid
brain have shown irregularities in the firing of neural circuits and decreased
activity in the prefrontal cortex causing what is assumed to be an impaired ability
to judge whether their [a person s] fears are rational (6). Does simple misfiring
cause paranoia disorder or just paranoia itself, which is perpetuated by a brain that
insists upon creating fear within the individual? If everyone s neurotransmitters fall
out of place now and than, what judges true paranoia? Is it created through an
education of fear and insecurity or is completely biological, and than of course, is
biology affected by ones surroundings? Whether or not paranoia is created in the
brain and nervous system is a given; it is, however what consumes the brain so much
that forces it to create, or innately have a personality disorder?
Stress is another external factor similar to the idea behind the environments affect on
the upholding of paranoia disorder. Paranoia tends to be more prevalent among
immigrants, prisoners of war, and others undergoing severe
Greek Art Research Paper
September 19, 2014 Representation of the Stone Age The representation of art has
evolved over many years. The meaning of why the artwork was created has never
been the same. The minds of the artist changed through each century. The paintings
they created showed more detail and used newer techniques. Before the evolution
began artworks were not made with such tools/equipment that we use for today s
artwork. The Paleolithic and Neolithic Era were the earliest time periods artwork
was discovered. The representations were the beginning to an evolution of art. The
Paleolithic Era was believed to be over ten thousand years ago. The Neolithic Era,
shortly after the Paleolithic Era, was from 10,000 BCE to 4500 BCE. These time
periods were known to be the Stone Age and were the starting line to the great

Paleolithic s were emerged into this method while Neolithic s did more wall

Stavrianos acknowledges a painting found in the Cave of Trois Freres in France,

Research Centre, El Behouth Street, P.O. 12622, Dokki, Giza, Egypt. Abstract:
Reaction of 3 Methyl 2 benzithiazolinone hydrazone (1) with some seleceted
isocyanate and isothiocyanate reagents 2aв€’j gave the respective semicarbazones
and thiosemicarbazones 3aв€’j. Thermolysis of compound 3a under reduced
pressure gave N,N`в€’dietylurea (4) in addition to 1,2 bis(3
methylbenzo[d]thiazol 2(3H) ylidene)hydrazine (5). Compound 3a was almost
quantitatively recovered upon its exposure to sunlight in methanol for 60 days.
Elementary and spectroscopic measurements (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS) are
in good accord with the structures postulated for the new compounds. The single
crystal X ray crystallographic analysis of 3f was given and its data were discussed.
The synthesized compounds 3a j as well as the hydrazone 1 were screened for their
antibacterial properties against Bacillus subtilis (G+), Escherichia coli (G ),
Pseudomonas aeruginosa (G ) and Staphylococcus aureus (G+) and for their
antifungal properties against Aspergillus flavus and Candida albicans. Some of the
tested compounds showed an activity against the four bacterial strains where their
order of activity was found to be 1 3g 3j 3i 3e
How Did Dorothea Dix Changed The Lives Of The Mentally
Ill
There s 7 billion (give or take a few) people on this Earth. Every single solitary one
of them is capable of changing the world in a major way, like Dorothea Dix did.
Dorothea Dix was a woman of the mid 1800 s who devoted her life to visiting homes
and hospitals for the mentally ill and fixing them up. She founded countless mental
hospitals, she changed how people thought of and treated the mentally ill, and she got
important political figures to help her with her cause. Dorothea Dixchanged the lives
of the mentally ill for all of time to come.
Dorothea Dix founded numerous hospitals and treatment centers for the mentally
ill. In my research I found on an online resource that, In all she played a major role
in the founding of 32 mental hospitals, 15 schools for the feeble minded, a school
for the blind, and numerous nurse training facilities. This quote shows her effort to
make the lives of the mentally ill better by giving them a safe place to live. This,
however, is not all she did for the mentally ill. ... Show more content on

She did this by being influential to her peers and changing their thoughts on the
mentally ill. In the book I read about her, it stated After one State Representative
claimed the wants of the insane in New Jersey are all humbug Dix spoke for nearly
an hour on the atrocities she d seen in his own district. The daring move won his
support. (p. 55). This quote shows how with her persuasive attitude and word choice
she could change people s opinions on the mentally ill and rally support. This
government official is not the only one she got to join her campaign for the mentally

the rest of society for just being themselves and doing only what they know to do.
For some, it s wrong if others do not act just like them and they put them down for

The Emigration Of The United States
There are many reasons as to why people from other countries decide to make a
journey to America. Some immigrants flee to the united states in an attempt to
escape persecution, find economic prosperity, and to seek a new life that is filled
with opportunities that would have been virtually impossible in their homeland.
Others are escaping oppressive regimes or natural disasters that have ravaged their
country. America s reputation for being the land of opportunity filled with endless
land just waiting to be claimed, plentiful jobs, and tolerance for all peoples has made
the country a beacon for the huddled masses . Throughout America s history
immigrants have poured in from nations all over the world, but the most memorable

These Irish immigrants faced a two month trip to America, where conditions on the
ship were harsh, food was scarce, and death and illness were plenty. Once the Irish
immigrants arrived in America, they were taken to Ellis Island for processing before
they could begin their new lives in the United States. American life turned out to be
not as ideal as the Irish immigrants expected. Irish Immigrants had to face a great
deal of discrimination in their new homes. One reason for the harsh treatment of
the Irish was religion. Many Protestants and other Americans felt distrustful of the
the catholic religion; therefore the Irish were not to be trusted. Due to the clash of
the Protestants and the Irish Catholics, much violence ensued which resulted in the
attack of Irish Immigrants and their places of worship. Another issue that caused
the ill treatment of the Irish was the fact that Americans considered the Irish to be
a servant class . Having come to the United States with little to no money, no land,
and very few skills, many of the Irish had to become indentured servants. Those
who had jobs that didn t require servitude where jobs that required hard labor and
barely anybody wanted, and the Irish were paid way below the average salary. In
1852, New York railroad contractors posted listings of hire which promised good
pay, and when mostly Irish applied they lowered the average salary to around fifty
cents a day for ten hour

Since the Early 70 s video games have been giving a bad name. Parents state that
video games rot the minds of children and are influencing them do be violent.
These accusations are far from the truth. In my research I found that there are many
positive effects of gaming. Some of these effects are increased skills, creativity,
general knowledge, and also help those in need. Parents can also take proper
precautions and look into a game before buying it to see if it meets the criteria
discussed in this paper. Videogames challenge the player and expand his ability to

many battles while playing these games. I realize after playing, what type of climate
the solders endured, what they fought against, and what was need to be done in order
to win. These games give an accurate portrait of what the battle may have looked like,
including bullets, expulsions, and historically accurate vehicles. Games like these

How Has The Eucharist Changed Over Time
Rituals are events that provide a sense of acceptance and that are done regularly and
enjoyed by many. Rituals mainly refer to a family, religious or community ceremony,
rituals also express emotions such as love and togetherness. The ritual of the
Eucharist has changed dramatically over the past years from the last supper, where
Jesusshared his body to his disciples.
The Eucharist is for people in modern times to commemorate Jesus life. The earliest
written gospel of the Eucharista meaning thanksgiving in Greek is located in the
First Epistle to the Corinthians around 55 AD in which Paul wrote to the apostles
eating the bread and drinking the cup of the lord by all and celebrating what is

overall something that I bring with me into this counselor/supervision role is the
fact that I am aware that every clients needs to be seem as a unique client or

should not be overgeneralized s the right way... what worked in that supervision

Construction Materials Of Hydrated Cement
CE 2020: Construction Materials
Pore Structure in Hydrated Cement
Arjit Soni
ES13B1005
Introduction:
When concrete is prepared cement is mixed with water but the hardened concrete
formed after hydration of cement is not solid mass but a porous material. There is
formation of pores due to extra water then required water for complete hydration
added initially. Water occupies some fraction of the total initial volume and after the
hydration of cement water is held physically, chemically or is adsorbed on product
after hydration. This leads to formation of pore structure inside the hydrated cement.
The properties of concrete are affected by the manner in which the pores of various
sizes are distributed within it. The porosity of concrete along with pore size
distribution determine the performance of such materials in construction
applications. The performance includes the mechanical properties such as strength
and durability properties including the ingress of chloride and sulphate ions. The
total porosity in the system has a noticeable effect on the mechanical properties of
construction materials , whereas the pore size distribution will mainly affect the
durability properties. Concrete with the same total pore volume can exhibit entirely
different properties, depending on pore size that is if it has a small number of large
pores or large number of small pores. Concrete is a porous material and contains pore
structures which are complex and inhomogeneous. The fine and
The Positive Impacts Of Superheroes
Superheroes are very popular in our society, most people in today s world spend their
time either watching superhero movies or reading superhero comic books. Although
there are many reasons why superhero fans are so popular, the most important ones
are, their movies are related to the current world issues, such as fight prejudice,
stereotype, good team work, and they always inspire the young children. Superheroes
having powers doesn t mean that they re not humans, They can save the world and
fight criminals but they still have to deal with the fact of being a human being
because they also face negative things like prejudice and stereotype. Superheroes
fighting these will influence the children to do the same thing.
This has a positive impact on children s life because it teaches them fight prejudice,
be strong and be proud of who they re. It helps young children to encourage each
other to not hide their nature from the society in order to avoid stress and isolation.
In real life, homosexual people tend to hide their true nature because they think they
re different from the people the fact that they go out and marry the same sex.
Prejudice is and was common back then where people are discriminated because of
their racial, religion, and gender. Thus the Holocaust, according to the authoritarian
personality theory, occurred because Germans were predisposed to not think of Jews
as German and to obey Nazi authority demands, even if such demands required
immoral behavior
The Fire Next Time Analysis
[T]oo many people find themselves living amid a great period of social change, and
yet they fail to develop the new attitudes, the new mental responses, that the new
situation demands (King, Remaining Awake Through a Great Revolution, 112). In
the last sermon of his life, Martin Luther King Jr. shared this piece of insightful
information. The atmosphere of King s time contained ignorance and oblivion.
Today, the atmosphere looks similar, and more than ever before, people must start
engaging in the major revolution taking place. Many people continue through life,
unaware of the happenings around them. When they choose to sleep through the
revolution, their chance to make a difference dissipates, and lasting consequences
arise. As human... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Starting from the beginning of time, some group of people see themselves as
better some other group of people. Their prejudice and hatred abound in greatly
impacting the lives of this other group. James Baldwin s The Fire Next Time
vividly approaches this subject in the context of the discrimination against Black
people. He shares that white men and women have destroyed and are destroying
hundreds of thousands of lives and do not know it and do not want to know it (5).
We have become naive and unaware of the damage to which we have caused and
that which we currently cause. The lives of so many become devastated due to
people not opening their eyes. For so long, African Americans dealt with limitations
that whites created; they attended different schools, ate at different restaurants, and
even used different bathrooms. Baldwin shares this harshness with his nephew in
telling him that the world will see him as something less that what he is. He must
expect to make peace with mediocrity and go along with the unjust expectations the
world had for him. The ignorance and speculations led to a cultural separation
between whites and blacks. Crime became real... not as a possibility but as the
possibility (21). Since white men had fallen asleep, black men had to live a different
way of life; this way of life negatively impacted the nation as a
Spanish American Independence

and the United States in 1898, culminating with the taking of Cuba, Puerto Rico and
the Philippines to Spanish rule. With the exception of the Revolutionary War and the
War of 1812, both fought against their former colonial power, Britain, this was the
first war of the US against a European nation.
The conflict, which lasted approximately eight months was also the first major
military victory of the United States of a foreign power. Such a war signaled once the
Spanish decline as a world power and catapulted the United States to the forefront of
the global political disputes.

  • 2. Money And Price Level Essay CHAPTER TWO LITERATURE REVIEW 2.1 Introduction The relationship between money supply and price level is very influential topic in the field of macroeconomic literature, which has received greater attention among government agencies, policy makers and researchers. This topic has been continuously discussed in the economic society since 16th century. The general price level of every economy is being continuously reported to be high from 16th century to present 21st century except some years. These higher price levels compelled the economists to carry out the study on whether over money supply are responsible to cause inflation or there are any other reasons responsible for high price or inflation. The economists have spent a lot of time in finding the causes of higher prices in the economy and reached the conclusion that higher prices are caused by different factors like unnecessary money supply, higher income, high wage rate, scarcity of commodities, increase in cost of production, international reasons, institutional factors etc. However, unnecessary and over money supply has been taken as the influential factor responsible to cause inflation or higher price in the economy by most of the economists in the world. Any economy should bear the high social and economic cost of inflation as there is no price stability. Over the past two decades, the policy makers are much worried with the instability of prices keeping in mind of the negative influences of rising price level in the
  • 3. Rappacini Rappaccini`s Daughter Rappaccini`s Daughter is gothic story written by Nathaniel Hawthorn in 1844.the story begins with a young man Giovanni who comes to Padua to study medicine at the university of Padua .He rents a room a high gloomy chamber above a magical garden .The garden belongs to Dr. Rappaccini who lives with his own daughter ,Beatric who has been poisonous by his father .Giovanni sits by window which overlooks to the garden ,he is fascinated by garden which are full of strange flowers and plants .One day he is attracted by Rappaccini`s daughter Beatric He falls in loves with her but he is warned by his father`s freind professor Baglion to stay away from her because of her poisonous nature.So... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another theme of story is about human lust for power. Rappaccini uses science as vehicle for power over nature, through Beatric and the garden .He just, for the sake of power through science ,treats with Beatric and the plants.Touching nothing directly ,only looking and tending from distance. Baglioni also is represented a person who wants to win Dr.Rappaccini so he decides to kill Beatric. And Giovanni is not the person who truly loves Beatric .He loves her as he wants Beatric to be not as she is. Beatric is the only human who establish real love and who wants to love and be loved. Giovanni is the young protagonist. That he views the garden from his lofty window suggests his perspective on the complexity of good and evil embodied in Beatrice . When he first begins to understand that she is dangerous, he dismisses his suspicions as fantasy ; however, as he becomes more concerned with himself than with her, he eventually calls her a poisonous thing who has contaminated him, making him as hateful, as ugly, as loathsome and deadly a creature as she. By the end of the story, his selfishness completely blinds him to her goodness, and as a result, he gives her the antidote provided by Baglioni, in this way hoping to redeem her from her evil nature and save her for a life of love with him. A tall, emaciated, sallow, and sickly looking man, dressed in a scholar s garb of black, Dr. Giacomo Rappaccini, a
  • 4. Orphan Train Writing Style When I first began reading Kline s novel, Orphan Train, I originally was not a fan of the book. In the sections featuring Molly, I felt like Kline s writing style was poor and amateur. For example, Kline includes numerous swear words in an attempt to make the dialogue more relatable; however, her attempt falls flat and only increases the unnecessary amount of melodrama that exists in Molly s world. I do not find it impressive or relatable when Molly swears at Dina or while around Jack. To be clear, I do not have an issue with swearing, but I do have an issue with how swearing is only included to emphasize how much Molly hates Dina and furthers the idea that Dina is a one dimensional antagonist. Dina is portrayed as essentially evil incarnate, she disregards Molly s dietary choices, verbally abuses her husband and Molly, and has an insufferable personality. Dina has no redeeming quality about her; Kline has failed to write a believable antagonist. Overall, I did not enjoy the beginning of the novel. Though I may dislike Kline s writing style and her portrayal of characters during the sections with Molly, I enjoyed the sections with Vivian and all of her previous incarnations. Not only did Kline s writing style significantly improve during these sections, but the majority of the characters had an element of believability and humanity to them. Even Mr. Grote who attempts to rape Dorothy does his best to provide for his family. I m not trying to justify his actions, I m just
  • 5. Stereotypes In Friday Night Lights, By Buzz Bissinger Many movies, tv shows, and books about high school have depicted football as the main focus. In the majority of these forms of entertainment, the high school football players are seen as ginormous, ignoramus, fools. Buzz Bissinger portrays these stereotypes all throughout his book Friday Night Lights. Though these depictions may be true in some cases, playing American high schoolfootballneither limits academic success nor future success in life. Bissinger addresses this topic through two characters; Boobie Miles and Bryan Chavez. Boobie Miles being a stereotypical unintelligent jock and Bryan Chavez being an academically inclined individual who is also on the football team. Boobie Miles is most definitely challenged academically yet football
  • 6. Fluorescent Dyes Lab Report In the past decades lasers have become evidently important to society. Lasers are normally perceived as devices used by our hands or large boxes found in research laboratories. Another evolvement in science that has taken place is the use of fluorescent dyes. Fluorescent dyes have become a common use for research and diagnostics in order to identify specific celland tissue types. The use of such a dye is to identify for example, various chemical substances such as proteins, tag cells and DNAand their concentration. The only problem with such dyes is only as few as 10 colours have the ability to be distinguished. These newly developed lasers formed by fat cells are a combination of solid styrene beads. The purpose for this evolution is to capture light that is taken from the cells which are views using a spectrometer and thus, analyze the spectrum. It serves a function of measuring refractive index change. Before this step forward the ability to tag cells stood at around a couple hundred cells. Fat cells already consist of lipid droplets and act as natural lasers as it is. They need nothing more than to be supplied with nontoxic fluorescent dye. This new laser technology can help us further understand the cellular process and further improve medical diagnosis and therapies. Considering the level of 6 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If i had to expand my understanding on this topic, I would like to know if such fat cell lasers would have the ability to notice cell change in cancerous cells before a tumour begins to develop. I would also try to watch documentaries that outline old methods of tagging cells and the problems that was faced with the lack of technology and further my understanding of the accomplishment of what this laser is purposed for in terms of medical research, trying to further understand the limitations that are present

Naus Instructor Abstract Judges are the most prestigious members of the court system, but they are faced with challenges that reflect upon there ethics, and faithfulness to the people they serve. Many issues may arrive because of this and create problems within the courts. According to Jefferson People doubt that a judge who have received campaign contributions from a lawyer will remain neutral when deciding the donor s case (Jefferson, 2010). • 13. History of Space Exploration Introduction to the History of space exploration To start the researching of the future of the space exploration the very first thing we should do is to look through a history of this particular topic. The main reason for this is because the history is a fundamental background for our understanding and knowledge. Aeronautical engineering does not have a long and deep history, compared to many things. Moreover, some information cannot be proved nowadays and that is why the only one thing that we can do is to suppose and rely on accessible sources. Every year we are using more and more modern technologies in order to try to explore our solar system, unknown planets and deep space. However, we should think that our ancestors could not even believe that the physical space exploration will ever become a reality since antiquity. (Aerospace, n.d.) When we ponder over the early history of the space investigation we encounter the unquestionable fact that it used to be mostly theoretical. For instance, Isaac Newton established his book about the required mathematics knowledge for space exploring in 1687 (BBC Isaac Newton, 2014). There are some other people, like a Swiss scientist Leonhard Euler and Italian mathematician Joseph Louis Lagrange who were undoubtedly necessary in the 18th and 19th centuries with their scientific works. In spite of all the factors, aeronautics has not become a practical discipline until the middle of the 20th century (Galileo Rice, n.d.). 1.2 History of

  • 15. How Does Globalization Affect The Economy Of Sydney As a result of this economic drive, an influence was evident on the spatial economic makeup of Sydney. The unemployment map of the city was distributed into two opposing fragments, illustrative of contemporaneous social geography. The highest rates of unemployment were marked in the western and south western suburbs, while the lowest rates occupied the northern suburbs. In place of this, the service sector, specifically finance, business, retail, community service, professional, and wholesale, sprouted. However, this was not sufficient to counterbalance the unemployment rates. In 1996, the services industry comprised a large 40% of employment, a step up from just 24% in 1971 (Fagan Webber 1999), of which was concentrating in the inner city and neighbouring regions (Forster 2006). What are motivation theories, and what roles due they play in the workplace; while continuing to motivate staff employees? Well, motivationdetermines how a person will exert his or her effort, it represents the forces operating on the person to exert effort, as well as the direction in which the effort will be exerted (DeNisi Griffin, 2014, pp. 286). Motivation is a key element needed in the workplace to continue to keep it running smooth and efficient. The potential pedagogical value of Comics and GNs have caught the attention of the English Language Teaching (ELT) community. In the last decade many experimental language instructors have realised that Comics and GNs can be a valuable teaching tool in the classroom that can facilitate Basic Interpersonal Communicative Skills (BICS) as well as Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC) in learners. Though there is substantial research expounding the advantages of using Comics and GNs for ELT, these texts have not yet become an integral part of school and college curricula. Against such a background this paper highlights the reasons why it is imperative that the Indian education system should include Comics and GNs in the language learner s curriculum. Authentic texts like Comics and GNs will help in acquiring language proficiency by increasing learner motivation, facilitating contextual understanding, elucidating on conversational maxims and providing input on cultural interactions. The narrative material of Comics and GNs is so diverse that it can appeal both to young and adult learners, while reducing affective filters and encouraging multimodal reading skills. Key Words:

Ethiopia was ravaged by drought that caused a famine that killed thousands of citizens in the African nation. Many nations and organizations stepped in to help but ran into many roadblocks in trying to do so. Due to severe mismanagement of relief funds and food by the government, those who needed help were not getting it. The U.N. Often the people of Israel would fall away from their relationship with God by worshipping false Idols such as Baal or by disobeying His commands in general. One of the main ways God got his message of redemption to His people was via prophets, spiritually gifted individuals that God lifted up to communicate His will to the people of Israel. The prophets Jeremiah and Isaiah often were used to call Israel out on their wickedness, and to warn then of God s coming judgement that would teach them a lesson. It is clear from what the prophets wrote, that God very much intended to wipe the sins of the nation s away, one way or another. This is a message that still very much applies today, Isaiah and Jeremiah were meant to steer God s people back to Him and their messages with Christians today are supposed to do the same. Judah and Israel in their time were constantly full of sins and needing to be cleansed. In the beginning of Isaiah, he opens by stating that they were a sinful nation, A people laden with iniquity, A brood of evildoers, Children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the lord. As a result, various worshiping houses or churches were built in Egypt throughout the Coptic era. These churches were deeply influenced by the Christian beliefs and this can be clearly seen in their interior and exterior structure. One good example of an ancient church founded long ago in Egypt is the Holy Virgin Church in Harat Zuwayla. The Holy Virgin Church in Harat Zuwayla is one of, if not the oldest churches in Egypt. As El Makrizi once said, it was founded around 352 AD before the city of Cairo was to be known by almost 6 centuries. During the Holy family s flight while visiting Egypt, they passed by the church s location, they rested and took shelter in Harat Zuwayla where there was a well which was believed to be blessed by the Christ.

  • 34. The Gospel Of Matthew 28 INTRODUCTION Before one can look into and understand the Great Commission, it would be prudent to gain a better understanding of the text. The Book of Matthew is an account of the life of Jesus from birth through his death and even resurrection. The final chapters of Matthew focus on the final days of Jesus life on earth. Chapters twenty six through twenty eight pay close attention to the Last Supper, Jesus prayer in the Garden, Judas role as betrayer, Jesus s trial, his final words and burial. Matthew continues on to tell of the risen savior from his borrowed tomb and his command for the disciples to continue the work that he had begun, to make disciples in all nations. The Gospel of Matthew 28:16 20 is what has been coined as the Great Commission where Jesus gave a command to the eleven disciples to take up his work that he had been teaching them and go make disciples of men as they traveled. After Jesus Christ s death on the cross, he was buried and resurrected on the third day. Before he ascended into heaven, he appeared to his disciples in Galilee and gave them these instructions: Matthew 28:18 20 Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:16 20 NIV (1)

Volunteer work is one of my favorite things to pass the time. I love seeing the warm smiles on others faces. I work with youth, the elderly, animal shelters, and cleaning up parks. I thoroughly enjoy working with kids. Getting to play with them, spend time with them, and mentor to them fills me with ecstatic joy. I have volunteered with kids who have special needs, orphans, and children with hearingloss, I have also been a coach with flag football. Three years ago, I volunteered at my church with a program called Revive. I worked with a wide variety of special needs kids in this program. Mainly kids with down syndrome. With many of them I had to speak much slower than I usually would. And often times, I had to repeat myself many times. I had to learn that developing the skills needed to work with these kids was not a one time deposit that would cover you for the rest of your life. My main goal with these kids was to make an impact on their life. In order to do this, you have to learn the child s prefered way of communication. Some liked talking, some liked to draw pictures, and some liked to simply just show you what they wanted. Working with these kids required extreme patience, a patience that will become easier to develop in life and ultimately in my career as an attorney. I mentioned it before, mentoring to kids really inspires me. I love being able

It is seen as being out of control and dominating the person s life. It is important to note that most gambling is not associated with a mental disorder as it is often a form of recreation in many cultures around the world. Gambling can be defined as placing something of value at risk in the hopes of gaining something of greater value (Potenza, 2008). Pathological gambling affects approximately between 0.1 percent and 2 percent of the population (Petry, 2016). Pathological gambling is listed in the DSM 5 chapter entitled Substance Related and Addictive Disorders . However, it differs from substance use disorders because those involve the brain experiencing repeated exposure to toxic chemicals as well as the experience of the physiological mechanisms of tolerance and withdrawal. As gambling disorder is a behavioral addiction, toxic chemicals and their effect on tolerance and withdrawal do not really apply. Gambling disorder is the first disorder to be included as a non substance behavioral addiction in the DSM 5. Since 1980, pathological gambling, now called gambling disorder, has been included in the DSM, though it was previously classified as an Impulse Control Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (Petry, 2016). Now it has been classified with the substance use disorders because of their similar symptoms such as preoccupation with gambling and

Travolta did the same throughout the film by dancing within his whole body. This includes abdominal isolations and movements of his arms and legs. Also, through his facial expressions and expressive body language. Travolta and Grey both showed expressions of passion and happiness when dancing as well as eye contact with their partners. However, the types of expressions shown by the actors were different. The patient in the book acquired the parasite from eating a raw cobra heart while traveling to see his family in Vietnam. In humans the larval form of the worm cannot develop in the stomach so it moves into the muscle of its human victims. It would then travel to under the skin. The British exit from the European Union , or Brexit in short, is the name for the recently passed referendum involving the UK s decision to part ways with the European Union. The vote took place on June 23, 2016 and passed. The decision to leave the European Union won by 52% to 48%. The vote was very close which raises an ample amount of concern. Contrary to what those 52% of voters believe, the decision to leave the EU was bad in many ways. Brexit now has the potential to yield devastating outcomes on the UK and every nation attached to them. One great concern following Brexit is whether or not Erasmus will remain intact. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to the Griffith theory of failure, the critical point ought to be the centre where the ratio of compression to tension (in terms of magnitude) is 3. With a principal stress ratio of 3, failure ought to result from the application of the tensile stress alone, without any complication from the simultaneous compression parallel to the eventual rupture plane. There are 2 possible modes of failure of the splitting tension specimen: 1. Axial splitting along vertical diameter 2. Shear and crushing failure at loading (occurs when the width of the contact area between the jaws and the disc is large) Theoretically, the rock specimen should fail at the centre of specimen (largest induced tensile stress), yet the experimental results shown that the failure occurs along the vertical diameter as the induced tensile stresses are more or less the same except for points next to the loading jaws. In other words, the rupture of the specimen in the Brazil test usually occurs along a single tensile type fracture across the diameter aligned with the axis of loading.

Sea cucumbers were thriving closer to the low tide mark in the boulder area, yet none were observed in the rock pool area. Sea cucumbers are almost always found laying spread out across the sand, with their feeding tubes out, browsing along the sand bed. This is the feeding habit of the sea cucumber and it would not be able to carry out this habit without the presence of sand. I realize after playing, what type of climate the solders endured, what they fought against, and what was need to be done in order to win. These games give an accurate portrait of what the battle may have looked like, including bullets, expulsions, and historically accurate vehicles. Construction Materials Of Hydrated Cement CE 2020: Construction Materials Pore Structure in Hydrated Cement Arjit Soni ES13B1005 Introduction: When concrete is prepared cement is mixed with water but the hardened concrete formed after hydration of cement is not solid mass but a porous material. There is formation of pores due to extra water then required water for complete hydration added initially. Water occupies some fraction of the total initial volume and after the hydration of cement water is held physically, chemically or is adsorbed on product after hydration. This leads to formation of pore structure inside the hydrated cement. The properties of concrete are affected by the manner in which the pores of various sizes are distributed within it. The porosity of concrete along with pore size distribution determine the performance of such materials in construction applications. The performance includes the mechanical properties such as strength and durability properties including the ingress of chloride and sulphate ions. The total porosity in the system has a noticeable effect on the mechanical properties of construction materials , whereas the pore size distribution will mainly affect the durability properties. Concrete with the same total pore volume can exhibit entirely different properties, depending on pore size that is if it has a small number of large pores or large number of small pores. Concrete is a porous material and contains pore structures which are complex and inhomogeneous. The fine and

The Positive Impacts Of Superheroes Superheroes are very popular in our society, most people in today s world spend their time either watching superhero movies or reading superhero comic books. Although there are many reasons why superhero fans are so popular, the most important ones are, their movies are related to the current world issues, such as fight prejudice, stereotype, good team work, and they always inspire the young children. Superheroes having powers doesn t mean that they re not humans, They can save the world and fight criminals but they still have to deal with the fact of being a human being because they also face negative things like prejudice and stereotype. Superheroes fighting these will influence the children to do the same thing. This has a positive impact on children s life because it teaches them fight prejudice, be strong and be proud of who they re. It helps young children to encourage each other to not hide their nature from the society in order to avoid stress and isolation. In real life, homosexual people tend to hide their true nature because they think they re different from the people the fact that they go out and marry the same sex. Prejudice is and was common back then where people are discriminated because of their racial, religion, and gender. Thus the Holocaust, according to the authoritarian personality theory, occurred because Germans were predisposed to not think of Jews as German and to obey Nazi authority demands, even if such demands required immoral behavior

Today, the atmosphere looks similar, and more than ever before, people must start engaging in the major revolution taking place. Many people continue through life, unaware of the happenings around them. Starting from the beginning of time, some group of people see themselves as better some other group of people. Their prejudice and hatred abound in greatly impacting the lives of this other group. James Baldwin s The Fire Next Time vividly approaches this subject in the context of the discrimination against Black people. He shares that white men and women have destroyed and are destroying hundreds of thousands of lives and do not know it and do not want to know it (5). We have become naive and unaware of the damage to which we have caused and that which we currently cause. The lives of so many become devastated due to people not opening their eyes. For so long, African Americans dealt with limitations that whites created; they attended different schools, ate at different restaurants, and even used different bathrooms. Baldwin shares this harshness with his nephew in telling him that the world will see him as something less that what he is. He must expect to make peace with mediocrity and go along with the unjust expectations the world had for him. The ignorance and speculations led to a cultural separation between whites and blacks. Crime became real... not as a possibility but as the possibility (21). Since white men had fallen asleep, black men had to live a different way of life; this way of life negatively impacted the nation as a
