Through different eyes - Describing pictures

2. September Part 1A:
In groups, you must decide on a theme for
a book. This book must not really exist.
Decide if it will be a story book or non-
fiction.
Choose a title and genre (historic,
science fiction, fairy-tale, fantasy...).
Each group to create an illustration for
this book in any media (paint, pencil,
computer-generated).
3. You must decide:
- Theme
(what it is about)
- Genre
(historic, science-fiction,
fairy tale, fantasy, …)
- Title
4. September-October
Describe your picture in as much detail
as possible, so that someone else can try
to recreate your image by reading the
description. Include colours, relative
sizing information, positions, style and
anything else that might be useful.
Upload the DESCRIPTION on Twinspace.
Please name the file with your country
and the title to your imaginary book.
6. November
Your next task is to browse the book titles and
choose one that appeals to you. Open the
folder and read the description.
Carefully following the written description, try to
create your own version of the illustration.
When you are finished, upload your own
version to the folder belonging to the country
who wrote the description, in the ‘Images’
section of Twinspace. Each book title may
have many illustrations in its folder when we are
finished.
7.
8. January
Each school or group must judge the
illustrations in their own folder, choosing
the best illustration for their description.
You may then share your original
illustration for everyone to see!
