Such as dialogue and suspense ,that makes your narrative stand out and enhance the
plot .
A specific mood , or emotion that the narrative conveys .
A unique tone that relays the writers attitude toward events .
Sensory details – details related to the five senses of touch ,taste , sight , sound and
smell –that help build the storys mood and tone .
A clear theme or life lesson related to the topic .
Effective sentence structure and correct spelling grammar , and usage
A memoir also includes :
Specific detail about the writers personal experience
Strong characterization , or full development of the personalities of real people to
illustrate complex and non-stereotypical characters .
Autobiographical narratives
2. Are stories written in the first person about the writers own life .Some magazines
publish short autobiographical narratives .Longer autobiographical narratives are
published as books .
Biographical narratives
Are written in th third person about the life of someone other than the writer .
Blogs
Are online forums in which writers there autobiographical narratives , reflections ,
opinions , and other types of comments .Most blogs allow readers to post responses .
Writing in a blog is not the same as publishing since it is not considered a permanent
from of writing .
Diary entries
Are intended only for the writer , unless the writer decides to share theme. They
include the writers personal experiences , thoughts , and feelings .Sometimes the
diaries of notable people are published are published after they pass away .
Narratives essays
Illustrate a theme with one or more biographical or autobiographical narratives .
Reflected essays
Like narrative essays , tell about events that the writer experienced , witnessed , or
heard about . Unlike narrative essays , focus more on sharing the observations and
insights that writers gained from these experience .Magazines and newspaper often
feature reflective essays .
