The relationship between Perfectionism, Procrastination and Academic Performance
As said by (Brown, Elissa J; Heimberg, Richard G; Frost, Randy O; Makris,
Gregory S et al, 1999), Perfectionism has been defined as a dispositional tendency to
set excessively high performance standards and to then evaluate one s performance in
an overly critical manner. . This investigation looks at two types of perfectionism
Adaptive, and Maladaptive Perfectionism. Adaptive perfectionism is the inclination
to set higher standards, participate in study more often, achieve better grades, and
emphasize more focus on academic importance in their life. Maladaptive
Perfectionism is also a predictor for studying more often, however research has found
evidence that it has been linked with higher anxiety, perceived difficulty and no
increase in grades (Brown et al., 1999). These two types of perfectionism are
measured using 3 of the 6 subscales of Frost et al., (1990) s Multidimensional
Perfectionism Scale(MPS). A study looked at perfectionism, behaviour, cognition
and affect in a women s private liberal arts college gave participants a small range
of questionnaires over 6 times in the semester and looked at final grades to see if
there was a significant correlation between any of the variables. They found an

When I looked over the words for the Personal Definitions Essay, I was at a stand
still. All of the words that were presented seemed great, but still a cliche. For
instance, the easiest word on there has to be Love. How many people on the street

Rocket Science. Breastfeeding makes babies smarter. The controversy of
breastfeeding and the use is breast milk substitutes for infant formula has been
going on for years now. In the past there has been facts proving that infant formula
has caused illness and deaths worldwide. I see this type of strife on busses,
billboards, and the social media. It has caught my attention to conduct a survey
and see how many women breastfeed, to see the quantity of women that do care
for. I have set up a survey of a sample of a 100 mothers and asked two questions if
you have breastfeed or if you have not? I had attached a second section asking if
the mother is married or single, attending college or not, and their age. This survey
was done by paper, interviews, and online. I choose different type of women from
different type of ethnicity ad places like relatives, friends, school, coworkers, and
random people from social media. Low percentage of mother s breastfeed. The
first question the participant mothers were asked was if they have breastfeed? As
shown on Figure 1.1, the results revealed that only 15% of women in the study
