I was the first born in my family. I am the oldest of 20 great grandchildren and 13
grandchildren; I m the first of my generation in my family. With this being the
case, I was often put in situations where it was just me and a bunch of adults. I am
very grateful for this because, now, I can talk to adults and strangers very easily.
Through these experiences, I have been able to have conversations with all sorts of
people. I have heard stories of great success and of grand failures. In my experience,
the wisest people are those who had awesome success without losing the meaning or
true happiness of life. In my life, I have had two people who were real mentors to
me, Jeff Sandefer and Gretchen Anderson.
Jeff Sandefer was the founder of a multi billion dollar energy company (Sandefer
Capital). Now, he is the founder and a teacher at Acton MBA, and he is starting a
revolution in the K 12 education realm through the school him and his wife built,
Acton Academy. I was lucky enough to be able to attend Acton Academy for my

The residents are all active participants in the life of the community, all actively
engaged in various activities of the barangay.
Our main directive was to immerse ourselves in the community, evaluate the existing
health problems and offer viable solutions for these concerns. With the information
we gathered, it was possible for us to practice health teachings in the community as

well as donate food and basic necessities to a number of families. We hope that these
steps we undertook will serve as the instigator of sustained progress and development
in their humble community.
OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of our 2 day community exposure was to conduct a
comprehensive public health survey among the residents of Barangay 536, Zone 63
in Quezon City. With the gathered data, we aimed to develop viable health care
intervention strategies in order to prevent the various health problems existing in the
community. Along with these formulated health care plans, we planned to inform the
people of the present problems in their community, in order for them to be better
equipped to handle future concerns that may arise. In addition, an objective of the
group was to fully immerse ourselves into the life of the community by fully
respecting the residents and understanding the quality of life that embraced their
society.

Introduction
Young mothers, those under the age of 25, are a special group of women. They can
be wonderful parents and love their children as much as older mothers who are more
prepared for their children, however younger mothers can have higher risks for some
issues such as depression. There are some ways that can help lower these risks and
these include increasing social support networks for young mothers.
The Aggregate
The aggregate chosen for this paper is that of young mothers. For the purpose of this
paper young mothers will constitute any mother under the age of 25. The aggregate
of young mothers can be linked to chapter 15, maternal and child health from
Community Health Nursing by Stamler and Yiu (2012). In this group of women
some may be married, some single, some have higher education, and some are high
school dropouts, but they all are under the age of 25 who have one or more children.

One issue that is a concern for young mothers is a lack of social support leading to
an increased risk for depression. The risk of depression for a young mother is

A recent article supports the idea why men are not suitable for domestic chores
even though they are willing to be participated in one. According to a survey that
was conducted to 2,000 randomly picked women, women spend average of three

CHAPTER TWO RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
2.1 Synthesis of 1,3 butadienes
Dienes can be synthesised from aldehydes and ketones using the Wittig reaction. The
Wittig reaction facilitates the synthesis of new carbon carbon double bonds at
specific locations in aldehydes and ketones (Bernard Ford, 1983). The overall
reaction mechanism is shown in Figure 1.
Protocols for synthesising 1,3 butadienes from aldehydes and ketones have been
established in the literature. The synthesis protocol proposed by Greatrex et al.
(2014) was used and reactions using several aldehydes (cinnamaldehyde,
piperonaldehyde, and 2 chloro benzaldehyde) were successfully performed to
synthesise the required butadienes 1, 2, and 3, Scheme 2.
The general approach involved transforming the aldehydes at the site of the carbonyl
group. Use of an appropriate triphenylphosphonium halide (methyl for
cinnamaldehyde, and allyl for piperonal and 2 chloro benzaldehyde) afforded the
correct 1,3 butadiene. Deprotonation of the triphenylphosphonium halide was
achieved using potassium tert butoxide reacted under an atmosphere of nitrogen. An
observable colour change was observed on addition of the triphenylphosphonium
halide to the solvent, and subsequently on the addition of an aldehyde. Reactions were
followed by thin liquid chromatography (TLC), and the butadienes were purified via
chromatography (1 and 2 via column chromatography, and 3 via dry flash
