INTRODUCTION
• The main motto of the project is to use the
wireless technology effectively for the
automotive environments.
• The scope of this project is to stop the engine
of an automobile automatically.
• The project includes a GSM modem,
microcontroller, relay, voltage regulator and
the 12V battery to power up this module.
PROJECT
OVERVIEW
When someone tries to steal the car then
microcontroller gets an interrupt and orders GSM
Modem to send the sms, the owner receives a SMS
that his car is being stolen then the owner sends
back the SMS to the GSM modem saying ‘stop
engine’, while the vehicle will be stopped the
control instruction is given to the microcontroller
through interface, the output from which activates
a relay driver to trip the relay that disconnects the
ignition of the automobile resulting in stopping
the vehicle.
BLOCK DAIGRAM
CIRCUIT DAIGRAM
POWER SUPPLY
MICROCONTROLLE
R
• The microcontroller(8051) is the heart of the
circuit.
• It acts as the interface between the max232 &
relay driver.
• The MC is a low power CMOS 8 bit.
• MC based on RISC architecture.
• There are 4 ports of I/O pins , the pin no 20 is
grounded and pin no 40 is connected to Vcc.
GSM MODEM
• It accept a SIM card and operates over a subscription to
a mobile operator just like a mobile phone.
• It can be a dedicated modem device with a serial port.
• While GSM modems are frequently used to
provide mobile internet connectivity, they can
also be used for sending and receiving SMS
and MMS messages.
OTHER COMPONENTS
USED
• LCD DISPLAY
• CRYSTAL OSCILLATOR
• MAX232
• VOLTAGE REGULATOR
• RELAY DRIVER (ULN2003)
• DB9 CONNECTOR
• SWITCHES
• RESISTORS
• CAPACITORS
• RELAY
SOFTWARE
REQUIREMENT
• Keil an ARM Company makes C compilers, macro
assemblers, real-time kernels, debuggers, simulators,
integrated environments, evaluation boards, and emulators
for 8051 MC families.
• Compilers are programs used to convert a High Level
Language to object code. Desktop compilers produce an
output object code for the underlying microprocessor, but
not for other microprocessors.
WORKING OF PROJECT
• The project uses a GSM modem duly interfaced to
the MC through the level shifter IC Max232.
• The sim card mounted GSM modem receives
command to develop a o/p at the MC pin 36 that
drives the relay, the contact point of which are
used to disable the ignition switch.
• The command so sent by the user is based on an
intimation received through the GSM modem &
Max232 duly interfaced to MC from pin 11 a
programmed message only if the input pin
number 13 is driven low.
• The complete operation is displayed over 16X2
LCD display.
ADVANTAGES
• Crime rate in automotive environment
can be decrease.
• Owner can send back the sms which will
disable the ignition of the vehicle.
• Cheaper as compare to luxury cars theft
intimation security system.
FUTURE
DEVELOPMENT
• With developments in communication and electronics the
system can be upgraded.
• It can be programmed to sent a message to the police
station for immediate action.
• Can be modified and programmed by placing a camera and
send the mms to owner & police.
CONCLUSION
The anti vehicle system help in vehicular
protection .Real time knowledge of stopping
the vehicle and alerts can be received with
GSM modem.
