active to passive according to
its tense.
The steps
1.Put the Object at the first of the sentence.
I saw the boy.
The boy was seen.
Cases of the Object
1.We can find the O. after the main verb in the
active sentence, and the verb which end
with “ed-ing-s”.
Ex1: We always show these costs.
Ex2:The government raised all interest
rates.
Ex3:He is playing football.
Ex4:He plays football.
2. The O maybe more than one word, and ends at the
“Time and place complements and prepositions”.
Ex1: It will probably achieve its 4000th
branch
within ten years.
Ex2: The bank was slowly opening its first
few branches across Europe.
Ex3: The council constructed a new dump for
public .
3.Sometimes there is no O in the
sentence.
Ex: We said it was said.
2.Change the main verb according
to the tense.
According to:
*Past simple.
*Past continuous.
*Past perfect.
