As I watched the Public Theater s Mobile Shakespeare Unit production of The
Winter s Tale at The Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center on
Wednesday, November 15, my understanding of Camillo was amplified and my
previous claim reaffirmed. Camillo had no choice but to obey his superiors and his
conscience throughout the play. Camillo s acts of disobedience, manipulation or
deceitfulness might seem like acts of selfishness and disloyalty, but I disagree.
Through Joseph Hall s descriptions of The Character of the Wise Man , Of the
Honest Man and Of the Valiant Man in his Characters of virtues and vices, it is
evident that Camillo is a virtuous man and that his acts were a manifestation of his
loyalty to what he believed was right and honorable. Thus, through this angle, Camillo
s behavior is in fact constant throughout the play even when it appears contradictory.
Before I had watched the play, I had believed that Camillo had been the alternative
of Leontes and Polixenes because even as a servant of both kings, he displayed
more nobility and wisdom; yet still a shred of doubt planted by classmates lurked in
my mind. Were his intensions to be selfish and were they predetermined? Was he not
trustworthy and loyal? Was he treacherous? Did he deserve punishment? These
questions joggled in my head as the play began and I waited intently for Camillo s

Everyone has their time in life when God tests the strength of their faith. These tests
can cause you to break down, and they can torture you mentally. Most of the time,

The romantic period,1735 to 1830, for writers is a dark and confusing time, it is a
time when dark things are made to seem better than they are. Many great literary
works come from this period, but at the price of confusing the population. People
believe that emotions and relationships were not just important, but were the very
currency of life. Three romantic era pieces stand out, The Pit and The Pendulum by
Edgar Allen Poe, Thanatopsis by William Cullen Bryant and The Devil and Tom
Walker By Washington Irving. These stories resemble the best qualities of the
romantic era and maybe even some of the worst. Romanticism itself is a way of
turning even the worst of topics into a more emotional sounding one or emphasizing
a different emotion. Many romantic authors choose to write about death in a way

may write about war, or personal experience in a way that is not like the original

Comments and personal opinions
When showing scenes of Derek s life before prison, it is in black and white, no
colours. This is brilliant, it is easy to follow the progress in the film, and to figure out
what is past and what is present. This could have developed in to a lot of sentimental
talk and massive clishГЁs, but fortunately the director manages to avoid that trap.

Danny is the narrator in the film, he tells the story of Derek s life while writing the

The character of Beloved is the physical symbol of Sethe s baby, Sethe s past, the
traumas of slavery, and the cost of freedom. Morrison uses Beloved the book, as a
whole, and the character to claim the story of the slave. Margaret Garner, the
inspiration for Sethe s character, was a sensation in the 1850s by both abolitionists
and pro slavery supporters. They used her story but not her voice to promote their
agenda either for or against slavery. Morrison, a black female fiction writer, 100
years later once again uses Garner s story but adds a voice to it in order to rip the
veil drawn over proceedings too terrible to relate. In this style memory weighs
heavily in what I write, and how I begin and in what I find to be significant. Through

Comparison Of Cosmos And The Scientific Theory Of
Creation
A problem I have thought of for a long time and might want to solve one day is
how the bible and the scientific theory of the creation of the universe do not match
up. All I have really done is read over Genesis a couple of times and watched a few
documentaries like Cosmos, but I do have a basic theory worked out. First of all, the
bibleis not literal. There is probably someone who was known as Jesuswhich I
believe had great influence over the people back then. There might not be a God, but I
lean towards the idea that there is, and the universe was not made in 7 days, at least
not 7 earth days. To god, an earth day may be a couple of milliseconds. Cosmos

that workplace pressure is an unavoidable factor of living and working in the
contemporary world. A reasonable amount of pressure at an acceptable level will
have the tendency to keep workers alert, motivated and willing to learn. However,
there are times when the pressure may become too much and this may lead to stress.
According to Chrousos (2009) and Shivaprasad (2013) the emotion of stress is often a
harmful response to the demands of the activity of nursing and the nurse s own
emotional capability. The environments in which mental health nurses are employed
inevitably generate intensity and a diversity of stressors related to the nature of the
consumers being treated. Ward (2011) writes that at times the consumer may become
unpredictable and aggressive which in itself creates a hostile environment. Laal and
Alirmaie (2010), write that stress related disorders do occur among all nurses but
particularly among mental health nurses at all levels but particularly those on the
front line (Ward, 2011). If this stress is uncompensated it may lead to
depersonalization and when combined with other uncompensated emotions may
progress to the syndrome known as burnout.
