The story that I m going to be talking about that is an injustice that was unfair in my
eyes is something that happened to me in the 2nd grade. Even though this
happened such a long time ago I still think about it to this day and its like a ghost
almost haunting me when it pops into my head at random times. It may have not
been that bad in someone else s eyes but in mine being only 7 years old and never
getting in trouble before this especially not as bad as this it was very traumatic.

day during class I had decided to go to the restroom and the restrooms were in
portables. We had to walk a bit away to the bathroom. As I was walking to the
bathroom portables I saw a girl run past me who also came from the bathroom but I
didn t think anything of it. When I got to the restroom I noticed that the janitor
was at the restroom doing what he needed to do but wasn t there. His cart had just
been there so I assumed he was off somewhere else. I did my business then as I was
coming out the janitor came up to me and started yelling at me. I was confused
because I was just going to the bathroom. He was saying things about how I
thought it was real funny to lock the stalls from the inside while the janitor was
there. I simply said I didn t do it but the janitor of course didn t believe me because
who would believe a 7 year old s word. The girl who was running away had been
the one to lock the stalls from the inside so that the janitor would have a hard time
while he was doing his job. Since I was in the scene of the crime they assumed it
was me even though numerous times I tried to tell them that it wasn t me who had
did it. He took me to the principals off explaining to the principal what happened
and what I had done. Again, I tried to tell the principal that I didn t do it but again
they didn t believe me. I ended up getting a referral for something that I didn t do.

I walked home by myself today. I stopped by the grave of the fox. It seems like
yesterday that I buried it. Then I remembered about Dan Russell. I was wondering
where he was at that very moment. I tried to call for him but no one came. Why was
Dan Russell not coming? Did he not exist? Was he my imagination? I remembered
that dream I had so many months ago. It seemed so realistic. It didn t matter now.

Elementary School Fieldwork
The field work that I have done was at the Foundation daycare between 9am and
10:30 am. The daycare is next to the Shaar Hashomayim on Metcalfe and
Kensington Avenue in Westmount. When I first went to the school I went through
the courtyard which had cemented pillars and archways as well as a row of plastic
play houses of a variety of colours and sizes. The doors are all locked therefore I had
to wring the Foundation schooldoorbell. The school has 2 stories; the first story is
where the daycare is and the second floor is where the elementary school is located.
There are 6 classrooms and each classroom has a specific age group. While walking

On this particular day a lot of kids were missing due to the weather so there were
nine kids in class eight girls and one boy between the ages of four and five. The 5
year old boy stood out the most to me the most due to the fact that he was the only
boy in a class full of girls. He was very talkative but, only towards the monitors; he
like holds hands with the monitors and when he is speaking or they are speaking
he gives them I eye contact which he did not do for anyone else. I think this may
be because he feels comfortable with them and he likes the attention that they give
him because he would get a huge smile his face when they praised him or said they
would play with him. He did not speak much to the other kids; he played play
dough at the same table as the other children but, he did not interact with them or
participate in the pretend play. He had short brown hair, slightly tanned skin and
was wearing jeans a red shirt and running shoes. After a little while he went off on
his own and looked at the books in the book section which was the only part of the
classroom in which no one else was there. He also played with a toy dinosaur on
his own he looked a little bored or unhappy because he was pacing around the class
room laying on the floor looking at the ceiling didn t play with anything for more
than 5 minutes. He was the only one who talked to me that day and he told me that
he could write music notes and that he could read them. This means to me that he
is a smart child because not many people could write and read music especially at a
young age. Another kid who stood out to me was a 5 year old Caucasian girl. She
had straight, light brown hair tied up into a ponytail; she had brown eyes and fair
skin. She was a petite girl shorter than a few of the girls and
