Making A Small Business Or Large Corporation Overtime
Many of us attending college at this time, attempting to gain an education, learning about business are
likely aspiring owning a business in the future. Whether it s a small business or large corporation
overtime, it will likely have to start from the ground up. As start ups, there are many obstacles new
business owners may have to understand and overcome to have initial success. As a brand new start
up, with planning, I would like to acquire a small business loan through the government. Although
difficult, with plenty of paperwork and the level of loan approvals declining, we would make that our
first choice along with other assistance. It would be beneficial to start with an SBA along with starting
a small account on places online, like Kickstarter, where families, friends and others who would like
to assist you to raise money for your business. With that plan in place and with time, would allow us
to come up with a business plan, determine the risks and the status of the industry, financial statements
ect. To properly manage and keep oversight of these funds, an accountant and a lawyer would be hired
to properly follow the financial guidance and protect the business from unnecessary lawsuits, penalties
and bad financial decisions. Another way we can approach financing would be through e loans, or
loans done online for quick access, but not preferred to its high interest rates. A good offer we received
from Fundera Marketplace was up to $150,000 for three years at a 8.9%

Classical Music And Its Influence On The Modern World
There are many types of music in the world, with many different artists, backgrounds, and stories to
tell. Every genre holds within itself a message, and this message shows a glimpse of the past as well as
the possibilities of the future. People everywhere love music for these reasons and more, and I love
one style of music in particular: a style that brings me comfort, makes me question the world, and
gives me insight as to who I am. Classical music describes a genre that, for me, means more than just
notes on the page or in the air; the music speaks to a deep and wonder seeking part of me that cannot
quite be described using words. The true evolution of primitive music began around 1750 during the
Classical Era in Europe, with the pioneering works of Mozart and Haydn, as well as many others.
Deriving from these great composers, the genre further evolved during the Romantic and Modern Eras
by encompassing a deeply emotional and expressive side unlike anything heard before. Indeed, these
periods of music entail a vast and rich history of pieces written to please royalty, soft and haunting
works of lost love, and vast orchestral suites that try to capture the majesty of the natural world. Such
vast detail and eloquent composition allows the listener of classical music to immediately be
transported to another time, another world, and especially another mindset. Other genres of music may
contain hints of these same elements, but none can fully compare to the true qualities

Royal Rumble Match Research Paper
Royal Rumble Match: Randy Orton wins the Royal Rumble eliminating Roman Reigns The Viper is
back in the main event picture after winning a fun Royal Rumble with a number of amazing moments.
From Jack Gallagher jumping off the top with an open umbrella, Baron Corbin shockingly eliminating
Braun Strowman, Luke Harper turning on Bray Wyatt, Lesnar getting eliminated by Goldberg in quick
fashion, to the Goldberg/Undertaker confrontation, what the match lacked in surprise entrants was
made up for in theatrics. Once the match got down to the final four of Orton, Wyatt, Jericho, Reigns,
Jericho was the first to go via Reigns Superman Punch, followed by Wyatt being eliminated by
Reigns. But, just when you thought we were on the verge of an Alamodome revolt, with Reigns
winning for the second time in three years, Randy Orton hit an RKO and threw Reigns over the top. ...

How Technology Has Changed Our Life And Economic Power Has...
Over the past millennium a lot has changed; technology has skyrocketed to next generation levels,
medicine has been revolutionized to maximize human life and economic power has made the great
nations of today withstand the test of time. These great features, great attributes of the modern world
are only capable due to the minds of the greatest; the most intelligent people in the world. Benjamin
Franklin with the founding of electricity. Rosalyn Sussman Yalow with the development of
radioimmunoassay. Steve Jobs with the revolutionary foundation of the company Apple, changing the
computers of today. All three of these people are incredibly intelligent and have provided tremendous
contributions to today s society. Everything has it s limitations though, just as Einstein once said, Two
things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I m not sure about the universe. Our
capabilities to excel in the field of technology has its limitations. Our memorization and understanding
of information is limited to the cerebrum of our brains. The intelligence of humans is outstanding, but
have we humans already reached our peak of intelligence, or even worse regressed over the years?
Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. Technology might speak for itself
in the aspect of whether intelligence has declined over the years. The general population would think
that, of course the intelligence of people hasn t declined, look at all the amazing things

Social Inclusion And Intellectual And Developmental...
Social inclusion is a social society in which differences are respected, values are shared and basic
needs are meant through fair social interactions. Most importantly, in a socially inclusive society all
members are acceptable and enabled full participation within the society (Victorian Government
Health Information, Australia., n.d). In regards, to social inclusion among people with intellectual and
developmental disabilities (IDDs) the social dynamics of these circumstances can be more complex
then traditionally anticipated. In the United States of American six and a half million people, on
average, have intellectual and or developmental disabilities. This translates into two and a half percent
of the population (Morstad 2010). Globally, about two hundred million people have intellectual and or
developmental disabilities. Worldwide, this makes up for three percent of the global population (Status
and Prospects of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities). As organizations and case studies for
intellectual and developmental disabilities become more prevalent so does the knowledge of
capabilities of these individuals. Some examples of these organizations include Special Olympics,
Best Buddies, Easter Seals, 321 Foundation, and the National Disability Rights Network. These
organizations work to promote equal rights for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities
through athletic opportunities, education, work force, health services and in communities across the

Napoleon Bonaparte’s Invasion of Russia Essay
Napoleon s Invasion of Russia
Napoleon Bonaparte s invasion of Russia was a major factor in his downfall. In 1812, Napoleon,
whose alliance with Alexander I had disintegrated, launched an invasion into Russia that ended in a
disastrous retreat from Moscow. Thereafter, all of Europe, including his own allies, Austria and
Prussia, united against him. Although he continued to fight, the odds he faced were impossible. In
April 1814, Napoleon s own marshals refused to continue the struggle and stepped down from their
positions. During the actual Russian campaign, there were many key factors that greatly impacted his
downfall.
The largest army ever assembled for one single invasion was reduced to a mere fraction of its original
size. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The artillery and small arms were years behind that of France. The Russian army was a conscription
army, meaning that local farmers had to furnish a certain number of surfs for military service, as
opposed to a professional, trained army where the government supplies the soldiers with all of their
needs. An amazing half million soldiers had enlisted in Napoleon s Grand Armée (Saglamer,
Beginning of the March). This was the largest army gathered for one single invasion. Russia s army
was out numbered 3:1 with only one hundred seventy thousand soldiers. Not only was the Russian
army not well trained, they were also ill equipped. Napoleon recognized that it would be difficult and
extremely slow for Russia to mobilize her army due to her enormous size and weak infrastructure. If
Napoleon invaded now, he knew that he could be well into the Russian territory before meeting any
major opposition. On June 24, 1812, Napoleon began his fatal Russian campaign. The Grand Armée,
led by Napoleon, crossed the Nieman River, into Russia. On the journey to Moscow, Napoleon met
virtually no major opposition. The first stop in the campaign was Kovono. Early into the campaign,
the Grand Armée was affected by a colic epidemic that claimed the life of nine thousand horses and
thousands of soldiers (Web, Russian Embassy). This slowed the pace of the army. Harsh weather
conditions caused the dry roads to turn to mud, making it extremely difficult to maneuver the

Superheroes, Despite Their Different Powers, All Possess
Superheroes, despite their different powers, all possess similar characteristics that define them, such as
courage, honesty, selflessness, and the maintenance of strong morals. Similarly, King Lear, the tragic
hero in William Shakespeare s play, King Lear, possesses characteristics that define him as a tragic
hero, as stated by Aristotle in Poetics via A.C. Bradley s The Shakespearean Tragic Hero. King Lear is
a character of high social status, and he possesses exceptional qualities that make him a well respected
king; however, throughout the play s events, he suffers tremendously in an unusual manner. In
addition, Lear, despite being a good character with good intentions, possesses a tragic flaw his pride
which ultimately blinds him ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, as the play progresses, his suffering that is caused by the impulsive decision to divide his
kingdom is clearly seen. This suffering is illustrated through the loss of his sanity, ultimately due to
the sudden loss of his power, his deteriorating relationships with his daughters, and the inability to
prevent these negative outcomes. Upon realizing his mistake of solely letting Regan and Goneril
inherit his kingdom, Lear is ashamed that [his daughters have the] power to shake [his] manhood
(I.iv.299 301). His daughters, who are women and are therefore considered to be less important and
powerful in his society, have taken control of Lear s power and life, and it is embarrassing to him as
he is used to receiving constant honour, pride, and glory as the King. This illustrates the start of him
losing his sanity, and soon, Lear is seen pleading to the gods to keep [him] in temper and to not [let
him] be mad, as he is stripped away from all that is his (I.v.43 44). As King Lear pleads for help to
maintain his sanity, his sufferings are clearly illustrated as the change in his character is evident; a
change from a virtuous, powerful king, to a mentally unstable, powerless, and embarrassed beggar like
character. This form of suffering is unusual because a sudden but significant loss of power is rare,
especially for someone as powerful and influential as a King. All the sudden negative

The Medieval Era Essay example
The Medieval Era The Medieval era is so easily generalized into the three orders of those who fight,
those who work, and those who pray, or even simply divided into the privileged and unprivileged.
These distinctions are important, for the ability of the church and manor to influence a peasant s
actions and to take a peasant s earnings was obviously a central component of a peasant s life.
However, when peasants constituted such a sizable majority of the population (over 90 percent), it is
also important to recognize the distinctions among them. Some peasants were free and some were
serfs. Some peasants were well off and some were barely subsisting. Some peasants held manorial
offices and some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through recording land sales and inheritances, the courts rolls explain the economic status of certain
peasants, and through recording contracts and crimes committed, they can describe relationships
between peasants. For example, Bennett writes, Cecilia illegally took hay off the land of Richard
Everard; she let her animals trespass onto the property of others; she argued with Alice Baker, (103).
Again, the records are factual but anything that goes beyond the written word is an inference subject
to interpretation and generalization. Bennett also uses poems and songs throughout the text. Clues
about how privileged people regarded peasants can be found in their courtly songs, sarcastic proverbs,
nasty jokes, and pious sermons, writes Bennett (3). However, these only tell about the generalized
negative opinions of elites regarding peasants. Personal diaries and letters are missing from the book
because almost all peasants were illiterate. Therefore, sources used are for the most part objective and
lack emotion. This takes away from the reader s ability to connect with Cecilia as a person. The reader
knows that Cecilia was allowed many more rights since she never married, but they do not know if she
enjoyed her individuality or

Culture Transplant-Nummi Case
A Great Experiment Of Culture Transplant Cross culture management, Prof. Alfred Kieser XiaoJun
Ma Culture is a set of basic assumptions, which shared solutions to universal problems of external
adaptations and internal integration which have evolved over time and are handed from one generation
to the next. This is a general definition of culture. Actually there are many definitions exist, some
concentrated on values, others on shared patterns of behaviors and meaning. And what we are going to
talk about is the problems of transplanting practices, from one culture into another. There are different
types of corporate culture just like there are different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But usually, this failure is credited to lack of understanding about the strong role of culture and the
role it plays in organizations, not because the culture does not play an important role in corporations.
Actually this is one of the reasons why that many strategic planners now place as much emphasis on
identifying strategic values as they affect strategy mission and vision. The facts of logic of
industrialization, technology, striving for efficiency have risen the argument that whether
organizations should be culture free or not. Too much consideration of culture in an organization could
reduce efficiency of the organizations. And it seems like the industrialization and technology
development have put the culture problems aside, the conflicts caused by culture different could be
ignored in this case. But is this the real situation? First of all, culture affects the beliefs and values of
people, and also, it decides the behavior of people, the information gathering method and
communication type, decision making and so on, which are all critical in running business. So
organizations are actually culture bound in spite of pressures for convergence of the facts of
industrialization, globalization and so on. Practices that are transferred to another culture will take on
characteristics of the new environment. The environment will select a part of the new culture which is

Column Chromatography
The principle of this experiment is to understand the basic functions of hemoglobin, vitamin B 12 and
to learn different types of column chromatography. The experiment is conducted through Size
Exclusion Chromatology also known as gel filtration chromatography, which is the isolation of
molecules based on their size. Hemoglobin function is to carry oxygen through the body, it can be
found in red blood cells, and it is responsible for red color in blood. A protein inside red blood cells
that carries oxygen from the lungs to tissues and organs in the body and carries carbon dioxide back to
the lungs. (1). Vitamin B 12 or cobalamin is a vital vitamin in the formation of red blood cells. A
nutrient in the vitamin B complex that the body needs in small amounts to function and stay healthy.
Vitamin B12 helps make red blood cells, DNA, RNA, energy, and tissues, and keeps nerve cells
healthy. It is found in liver, meat, eggs, poultry, shellfish, milk, and milk products, (2).

Geography is another of Nathan s favorite science subjects. He enjoys locating geographical features

studies different types of maps (physical, political, and road) to learn various legend keys.
We ve covered physical and political features such as major rivers, mountain ranges, and most

stories also are pointed to on a map.
Nathan has explored nearby geographical features such as Beaverdam Lake and Moodna Creek. Prior

Natural World Research Paper
Though the connection may change throughout the years, humans have a connection the natural
world. This connection is fluid and changing and may yield different connections between the two
dependent on when in history or where geographically in the world we look. If we look through an
anthropologic lens at humans thousands of years ago, we see a much different connection to nature
than our current bond in modern western society. Other regions of the world may have different
connection to nature than we in the western modern world do. However, it is the objective of this
paper is to demonstrate how humans of the modern western world are connected to the natural world
around us through the interpretation of a photograph. In this paper, through ... Show more content on

Due to the immense size of the orca and the almost precarious position of the man on top of its nose it
could appear as though the man might be about to be eaten. This, in all other contexts, might make
more sense just due to the immense size of the orca. It is hard to believe humans could have such
control over these creatures. However, if we pursued this argument further the crowd of onlookers in
the background would perhaps ruin this illusion. If the man on top of the orca was being eaten the
spectators would have to be viewed as a part of some ritual of sacrifice to an orca. Their position and
surrounding environment of stands brings with it the idea of entertainment and viewership. However,
the crowd seems to be much too complicit and content if we assumed this was a sacrificial ritual and
appear much more like this connection between the orca and man is something controlled and a
reoccurring event. As well the trees to the side of the photograph ruin the illusion that this is
happening in a natural environment and implies that this is happening in an artificial environment,
which automatically implies that humans have somehow created and brought in orca into this
constructed environment.
Therefore, it appears this other interpretation does not carry the same amount probability as my
previous one. Therefore, I believe me original interpretation of the domination over nature and
commodification of nature is the argument that holds the most ground. Even if we look at the photo in
a totally opposite interpretation it is hard to escape the idea that humans have some sort of control or
are in a position above nature in this

Social Security Threats
The Internet today is used by people of various ages. Although the internet is a great and useful
resource, yet internet dangers are around every corner. The use of technology has turned from
educational resources or connecting with family across the globe to negative threats. Identity theft,
cyberbullying, inappropriate content, sexual predators, and negative reputation are a few of the threats
lurking on the internet. In the past years, social media has been immensely popular such as Facebook,

League Of The Iroquois Research Paper
The League of the Iroquois is a historic confederacy comprised of the Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga,
Oneida, Mohawk, and later the Tuscarora tribes. Coming with the message of peace, Deganawida tried
to convince the tribes to become one mind, one heart, one law. He saw the advantages of coming
together as a united people and the foolishness of the constant infighting. Upon the formation of the
league, the Mohawk chief Hiawatha made strings of wampum as a symbol that became significant in
diplomatic meetings and treaties.
The tribes came together to form the league for several reasons: because of their devotion to the law of
retaliation, tribes were constantly at war with each other. In addition to internal warfare, Europeans
were beginning to appear in North America, and it is speculated that the tribes agreed to form the
confederacy in order to seem united to the foreigners encroaching on their land. They could not defend
their land from the Europeans while fighting with each other at the same time. It is still being
discussed today, however, whether the league formed before or after European contact. To this day, the
Iroquois maintain that they formed pre contact. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Jan Van Eyck Essay
Jan van Eyck was born during c. 1935 in Maaseik, Bishopric of Liege, the Renaissance period. He had
a sister Margareta, and at least two brothers, Hubert (died 1426) and Lambert was active between
1431 and 1442 (Both of them were also painters). Yet the order of their births is not known. Another
significant, and rather younger, painter who worked in Southern France, Barthélemy van Eyck, is
presumed to be a relation. It is not known where Jan was educated, but he had knowledge of Latin and
used the Greek and Hebrew alphabets in many of the inscriptions, indicating that he was schooled in
the classics. (From Wikipedia) The first ever record of Eyck is from the court of John of Bavaria at

Especially for his time, van Eyck often signed and dated his paintings in their frames, then considered
an integral part of the work (the two were often painted together). In the most substantial early source

Eyck was named the leading painter of his day. Facio places him among the best artists of the early
15th century, along with Rogier van der Weyden, Gentile da Fabriano, and Pisanello. It is particularly
interesting that Facio shows as much enthusiasm for Netherlandish painters as he does for Italian
painters. This text also sheds light on aspects of Jan van Eyck s production now lost. Jan van Eyck
likely had some knowledge of Latin for his many missions abroad on behalf of the Duke. Jan van
Eyck died in Bruges in 1441 and was buried there in the Church of St Donatian (destroyed during the

American Categorization
The History of a Powerful Categorization: Race in America As humans, we often find comfort in the
ability to separate and sort objects, ideas, and even people into innumerable categories that we may
refer to with ease. Even if there exists no scientific support for such classification, we find that our
innate nature allows us to socially construct certain divisions. Merriam Webster Dictionary possesses
numerous definitions for the word race; one that appears commonly describes this abstract idea as,
Any one of the groups that human beings can be divided into based on shared distinctive physical
traits (Merriam Webster.com). This definition remains intangible as American history in particular

rebels rightfully won their land back from the iron grasp of Spanish colonization, by 1845 the United

although in close proximity to the United States, became loathed by whites. A politician named

of the characters that affect it the most are Anne, Mr. Van Daan, and Miep Gies and Mr. Kraler. They
either affect it negatively or positively as we will found out. The theme people are good at heart is a
theme everybody should relate to in someway. Anne is one of the people that impacts the theme in a
very positive way. Anne is a person who always looks at the better side of things in an situation. Even
though they are forced to go into hiding for multiple years, she talks of what she wants to do when
they get out. This has a great affect on the rest of the people in the annex. It gives them motivation and
keeps their spirits up. She also is very thoughtful and helpful. For instance, she was always helping
people and giving them gifts all through out act one. In act two, she said that she always thought
positively and never negatively. She would then pass that attitude on to the adults that were scared for

hiding even in tough situations. To conclude, Miep Gies and Mr. Kraler are important to the positive

Mystery Powder Experiment
Starting our hypothesis was that it was cornstarch, according to all of the data we collected in table
2(example at bottom of page). When we just looked at the substance it had a powder like appearance
with no real specific way of being arranged. Then we started with each test of the powder first the
simple close up look test using the microscope this showed us basically what we had seen with our
eyes in a little more detail from this we found that it was what we had seen a powder like substance
with no real arrangement but the only difference was two crystals within the powder. Next we moved
on to the more complex test like the vinegar test in this test when the vinegar was mixed with the
substance it did not really mix at all the vinegar ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Immediately we count off baking soda, salt, and sugar because in the first test with the microscope,
they show all crystal arrangements unlike the powder in our mystery. Then we go on to count off the
plaster of Paris because in the vinegar test, it does the opposite of our mystery powder, it mixed with
the vinegar while our powder sat on top and started to harden. At this point we are down to flour and
corn starch these two show the same results in the iodine test the both turn into a thick black gel.
Continuing on to the heat test they show generally the same, but the flour starts to smoke unlike the
corn starch just turning brown after a while, but this is still a pretty close difference between the two
so then we go back to the vinegar test where the corn starch sat on top and hardened the flour just sat
on top of the vinegar so now this is two differences we have found comparing the flour to our mystery
powder. In the end the one that had all the same results as the mystery powder was the corn starch this
proves our hypothesis to be correct but there should be more to our hypothesis because the crystals
found in the substance therefore it must have one of the crystal substances in it also such as baking
soda, salt, sugar or plaster of

Should High School Students Get An Honor Code
Students copying answers of the assignments from their peers or internet is abundantly common in
high schools. Even the students with high morals sometimes do copy from their peers when they need
to for the sake of their grades. Colleges look at the students grades to determine if they are good
enough to enroll in their schools. Parents look at the grades to decide whether their children are doing
well in the school or not. It becomes the grade, not the education that matters. Even though the
teachers warn the students about how plagiarizing and cheating come with punishments, the students
do not listen as they care more about their grades which play an important role in their future. Still
those children who cheated their way through high school think they ... Show more content on

Therefore, the school should in fact implement an honor code and enforce it because schools are the
places for the children to learn education as well as principals which are crucial for their future beyond
the classrooms.
Having an honor code in schools can help students understand more of their lessons because it
encourage them to think and further analyze the problem for the solution. Students feel pressured to
gain good grades because the grades determine the colleges they go to. Even the students do not
understand the materials, the most important thing is to get good grades in assignments. So they turn
to their peers who are doing well in the classes, and they simply copy the answers and turn them in.
They adjust some words to make it look like they have turned in their own paper. Others utilize
internet which provides a vast amount of information with one click. In my Chemistry Class, for
instance, I had a devastating blow to my grade due to the lab I made mistakes on. The

A Small Town In The 1800 s
In the early 1800 s, high in the mountains, secluded from the rest of the world a small town that goes
by Umbrae. The town only had 130 people living there. The nearest town was six hours away by hours
and carriage. The people live normal lives, they helped each other with anything and everything. They
were all friendly and kind to each other. It was just a simple town... well you could say they were just
a normal town with normal people. But one day, in the middle of September a carriage pulled into the
small town. The gates opened up allowing the carriage to enter. As the carriage was passing the town s
people, a man in the carriage looked out of the window and looked at the scenery. The carriage
stopped in front of the mayor s house. The man stepped out of the carriage with the help of the
footman, brushing off the imaginary dirt on his shoulders and sleeves. ... Show more content on

Public Misunderstanding Of officer Safety Essay
Public Misunderstanding of quot;Officer Safety quot;
How many times have you been pulled over by a police officer, and when the confrontation was
complete you said to yourself, quot;Boy, was he rude! quot; or
quot; There was no need for him to treat me like that. quot; Well, unfortunately, the public is prone to
misinterpret an officer being safe for being rude.
Unfortunately, the actions taken during a quot;routine quot; traffic stop which are interpreted as being
rude are necessary steps that insure the safety of both officer and civilian.
Imagine for a moment that you are a police officer on duty. You observe a vehicle traveling 36 miles
per hour on a 30 mile per hour ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These are the some of the procedures which they have published in regards to traffic stops, and which
myself and other trainers have used to train their mobile patrolmen in hopes of reducing their risk:
Step #1: Park your patrol car approximately 1.5 car lengths behind, and with the passenger s side
headlight even with the center of the violators vehicle. By doing this you allow yourself, as the
patrolman, an ample distance for reaction. By parking off center you also allow a quot;hallway quot;
for yourself to conduct business safely.
Step #2: Turn your vehicle s high beams, spotlight, code lights and any other light on your vehicle on
and facing towards the stopped vehicle. This will make it hard for the violator to see where you are
and get a good shot in.
It also allows you to see what is occurring inside the vehicle clearly.
Step #3: At no time do you allow the driver to exit his vehicle. It is safer for him and again puts him at
a disadvantage for completing any violent acts against you.
Step #4: While walking up to the vehicle, look at and lightly press down on the trunk. This reduces the
chance of a hidden person coming out of the trunk and firing on the officer. (This does occasionally
happen.)
Step #5: When reaching the

Who Is Filippo Brunelleschi Important To Linear...
Filippo Brunelleschi was the architect, and engineer who also developed linear perspective in art
He also made contributions in sculpture, mathematics, and ship design
A classic Mediterranean dome was chosen over the traditional Medieval Gothic in 1367 since Italian
architects thought of Gothic buttresses as unattractive for such a building. Also central Italy s northern
enemies loved to use buttresses so buttresses in architecture was banned in Florence
the dome is not spherical but rather pointed and tall and has more of a gothic shape than a classical
shape while also matching the gothic church too
Blind Tribunes were put around the dome and they look more classical, Roman than gothic

he also made cantilever scaffolding so the workers could work on the dome as it was being built up
he also installed pulleys and hoists to bring up heavy loads of massive stones to the top of the dome
he designed machines that no one else have seen before to get the dome done
he also made a barge to bring the materials to the city as well
stones were quarried and bricks were imported
: until Saint Peter s, the Dome of Santa Maria del Fiore was the largest
the plan was to build a dome that had the same span as the Parthenon but the technology or techniques
to do so was largely lost and have been discontinued for quite a while
The building was still missing its dome for a 100 years after its initial construction because the
difficulty of the task to build a large dome for such a large building was very hard to come up with
Arnolfo di Cambio had made the basics for the dome but this itself had a structure that would not keep
it from falling apart under its own weight
Arnolfo s design called for an octagonal structured dome that was higher (15 ft) and wider (30 ft) than
any other dome in history
Brunelleschi used the Parthenon in Rome for ideas on how to go about making a stable, acceptable

Migraine And Coronary Artery Disease Analysis
Migraines rank as the number 7th leading cause of disability worldwide and affects an approximated
14% of the general population. In other words, a migraine is a headache on steroids. It is a primary
headache disorder characterized by recurrent headaches that range anywhere between moderate to
extremely severe. Typically, the symptoms associated with migraines include a pounding sensation in
one half of the head, nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light, smell, and sound. Before a migraine
comes on, approximately one third of people experience what is called a migraine aura. A migraine
aura is typically a short period of time accompanied by visual disturbances and can occur with little to
no headache. When thinking of a migraine the first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The purpose of this study was to determine the genetic overlap between migraine and Coronary Artery
Disease(CAD). The study also aimed to identify shared genetic risk loci, utilizing a conditional false
discovery rate approach and two genome studies of CAD and one for migraine. In conclusion, the
researchers found that the previous findings that CAD and migraine share genetic risk factors. The
gene, PHACTR1, showed significant cross phenotype association in migraine and CAD. The findings
are significant because the results were consistent with present theories that migraine and Coronary
Artery Disease share genetic risk loci and highlight one risk locus in PHACTR1. Researchers can now

Sustainable energy
Solar energy: This study was made by (Heikki Keskiväli,2013) Flexible energy management and solar
related business opportunities for households in Finland
The purpose of this study is to raise the comprehension and have more knowledge on the flexible
energy management that is associated to business models and chances for households in Finland,
however at once implementing solar power generation into the equation. The main concentration will
be on the demand capabilities, hourly consumption and solar production analysis of households in
Finland ,however other countries like Southern European have also covered for comparison.
Moreover, for fundamentals various models are deliberated, besides which sensitivity on investment
analysis are conducted with choices of realistic scenario. In Finland business opportunities does exist
but however, until now still no attractive returns. Base case analysis demonstrated internal rates which
are among 3,0 % and 1,6 % , this is without demand response benefits, and internal rates of return
among 0,8 % and 0,3 % with them. Therefore, demand response had a really important positive effect
on the returns of an investment during regulation trading activities and solar production self
consumption maximisation.

Addressing Crohn s Disease
When a person has one, it doesn t mean that by this time next week, it will go away. It means that they
will continue to deal with the symptoms of that disease until the day they die. That is a daunting
thought, often too large in scale for anyone to truly take seriously. Crohn s Disease is one of those
diseases that is improperly evaluated by the general public. Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Seantrel
Henderson battles it daily, yet is currently serving a 10 game suspension from the NFL for cannabis
use. Why is there such a disconnect between people who suffer from the disease and the doctors who
treat them, and the general public who believe those taking the drug are using it as an excuse to get
high? While not a medical doctor, I am uniquely qualified to talk about the battle Henderson is ...

Multiple studies have confirmed that you can achieve complete remission by using medical marijuana
to combat Crohn s. In Henderson s case, he has tried to explain his use. Finding what works is by far
the hardest part of it all. At one point, I was taking 30+ pills a day to battle the disease and it caused
permanent damage to my liver in the process. If Henderson using a natural, plant based method to
treat his disease is the solution to his problem, what is the NFL trying to stop here? Not only is it
helping manage his symptoms, he finally has hope for a normal life. Hope is a rare emotion that can
manifest itself in plenty of ways. He may have found his in an uncommon way. Dealing with Crohn s
Disease is similar to standing on the side of an Olympic sized swimming pool with a cinderblock
attached to your feet. When it is flaring up, it feels as if the cinderblock has been kicked inside the
pool, you re constantly trying to swim upwards to try and get a breath. The depression will weigh you
down, the pain will weigh you down, the self doubt will weigh you down. If you re given a life raft,
you take

Summary And Background Of Stryker Corporation
Summary and Background Currently, Stryker Corporation is in a law suit centered on patent
infringement with their competitor, Zimmer Corporation. The case which will be analyzed and
explored is currently pending hearing by the Supreme Court. The current questions that the
petitioners, Stryker, are asking of the Supreme Court are as follows: 1. Has the Federal Circuit
improperly abrogated the plain meaning of 35 U.S.C. § 284 by forbidding any award of enhanced
damages unless there is a finding of willfulness under a rigid, two part test, when this Court recently
rejected an analogous framework imposed on 35 U.S.C. § 285, the statute providing for attorneys fee
awards in exceptional cases? 2. Does a district court have discretion under 35 U.S.C. § 284 to award
enhanced damages where an infringer intentionally copied a direct competitor s patented invention,
knew the invention was covered by multiple patents, and made no attempt to avoid infringing the
patents on that invention? (SCOTUS Blog, 2015) Stryker is petitioning the Supreme Court to explore
these questions, because prior to Supreme Court filing, there had been a series of lawsuits and appeals
between the plaintiff, Stryker, and defendants, Zimmer. The preliminary suit was focused on
infringement of pulse lavage medical devices. Stryker and Zimmer are the two main developers and
manufacturers of this medical device noted in the suit. Medical pulse lavage systems are complicated
devices which are used by a surgeon

Evidence Based Practice For Pediatric Patients
Abstract: Evidence based practice plays a critical role in the care of pediatric patients. Evidence based
practice requires health care professionals to research and implement new evidence into their nursing
practice. New evidence can be used in all fields including pediatrics. It requires health care
professions to invest time outside of work to be able to access new research. Many barriers stand in
the way of implementing new protocols and procedures. Implementation can be supported with the
help of advocates to help further the process of adding new protocols and procedures. Standards of
practice are an essential to caring for patients in any field. Evidence based practice has brought about
new protocols in assessing pain in pediatric patients in the emergency department, ways to reduce
antibiotic resistance in children, and even helps nurses to determine the normal vital signs in pediatric
patients.
The medical field is an ever changing place. New medications, techniques, and products are coming
out every day. With all these new items, there needs to be current clinical evidence that proves the
effectiveness of such techniques and products and whether they can benefit a patient. In many settings,
nurses tend to use practice traditions that they use on a daily basis as part of a habit. With new
evidence, practice tradition interventions no longer support the actions. This is where evidence based
practice comes into play. Evidence based practice can be broken down into

  • 2. Making A Small Business Or Large Corporation Overtime Many of us attending college at this time, attempting to gain an education, learning about business are likely aspiring owning a business in the future. Whether it s a small business or large corporation overtime, it will likely have to start from the ground up. As start ups, there are many obstacles new business owners may have to understand and overcome to have initial success. As a brand new start up, with planning, I would like to acquire a small business loan through the government. Although difficult, with plenty of paperwork and the level of loan approvals declining, we would make that our first choice along with other assistance. It would be beneficial to start with an SBA along with starting a small account on places online, like Kickstarter, where families, friends and others who would like to assist you to raise money for your business. With that plan in place and with time, would allow us to come up with a business plan, determine the risks and the status of the industry, financial statements ect. To properly manage and keep oversight of these funds, an accountant and a lawyer would be hired to properly follow the financial guidance and protect the business from unnecessary lawsuits, penalties and bad financial decisions. Another way we can approach financing would be through e loans, or loans done online for quick access, but not preferred to its high interest rates. A good offer we received from Fundera Marketplace was up to $150,000 for three years at a 8.9% ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Classical Music And Its Influence On The Modern World There are many types of music in the world, with many different artists, backgrounds, and stories to tell. Every genre holds within itself a message, and this message shows a glimpse of the past as well as the possibilities of the future. People everywhere love music for these reasons and more, and I love one style of music in particular: a style that brings me comfort, makes me question the world, and gives me insight as to who I am. Classical music describes a genre that, for me, means more than just notes on the page or in the air; the music speaks to a deep and wonder seeking part of me that cannot quite be described using words. The true evolution of primitive music began around 1750 during the Classical Era in Europe, with the pioneering works of Mozart and Haydn, as well as many others. Deriving from these great composers, the genre further evolved during the Romantic and Modern Eras by encompassing a deeply emotional and expressive side unlike anything heard before. Indeed, these periods of music entail a vast and rich history of pieces written to please royalty, soft and haunting works of lost love, and vast orchestral suites that try to capture the majesty of the natural world. Such vast detail and eloquent composition allows the listener of classical music to immediately be transported to another time, another world, and especially another mindset. Other genres of music may contain hints of these same elements, but none can fully compare to the true qualities ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Royal Rumble Match Research Paper Royal Rumble Match: Randy Orton wins the Royal Rumble eliminating Roman Reigns The Viper is back in the main event picture after winning a fun Royal Rumble with a number of amazing moments. From Jack Gallagher jumping off the top with an open umbrella, Baron Corbin shockingly eliminating Braun Strowman, Luke Harper turning on Bray Wyatt, Lesnar getting eliminated by Goldberg in quick fashion, to the Goldberg/Undertaker confrontation, what the match lacked in surprise entrants was made up for in theatrics. Once the match got down to the final four of Orton, Wyatt, Jericho, Reigns, Jericho was the first to go via Reigns Superman Punch, followed by Wyatt being eliminated by Reigns. • 5. How Technology Has Changed Our Life And Economic Power Has... Over the past millennium a lot has changed; technology has skyrocketed to next generation levels, medicine has been revolutionized to maximize human life and economic power has made the great nations of today withstand the test of time. These great features, great attributes of the modern world are only capable due to the minds of the greatest; the most intelligent people in the world. Benjamin Franklin with the founding of electricity. Rosalyn Sussman Yalow with the development of radioimmunoassay. Steve Jobs with the revolutionary foundation of the company Apple, changing the computers of today. All three of these people are incredibly intelligent and have provided tremendous contributions to today s society. Everything has it s limitations though, just as Einstein once said, Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I m not sure about the universe. Our capabilities to excel in the field of technology has its limitations. Our memorization and understanding of information is limited to the cerebrum of our brains. The intelligence of humans is outstanding, but have we humans already reached our peak of intelligence, or even worse regressed over the years? Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. Technology might speak for itself in the aspect of whether intelligence has declined over the years. The general population would think that, of course the intelligence of people hasn t declined, look at all the amazing things ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Social Inclusion And Intellectual And Developmental... Social inclusion is a social society in which differences are respected, values are shared and basic needs are meant through fair social interactions. Most importantly, in a socially inclusive society all members are acceptable and enabled full participation within the society (Victorian Government Health Information, Australia., n.d). In regards, to social inclusion among people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) the social dynamics of these circumstances can be more complex then traditionally anticipated. In the United States of American six and a half million people, on average, have intellectual and or developmental disabilities. This translates into two and a half percent of the population (Morstad 2010). Globally, about two hundred million people have intellectual and or developmental disabilities. Worldwide, this makes up for three percent of the global population (Status and Prospects of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities). As organizations and case studies for intellectual and developmental disabilities become more prevalent so does the knowledge of capabilities of these individuals. Some examples of these organizations include Special Olympics, Best Buddies, Easter Seals, 321 Foundation, and the National Disability Rights Network. These organizations work to promote equal rights for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities through athletic opportunities, education, work force, health services and in communities across the ... • 7. Napoleon Bonaparte’s Invasion of Russia Essay Napoleon s Invasion of Russia Napoleon Bonaparte s invasion of Russia was a major factor in his downfall. In 1812, Napoleon, whose alliance with Alexander I had disintegrated, launched an invasion into Russia that ended in a disastrous retreat from Moscow. Thereafter, all of Europe, including his own allies, Austria and Prussia, united against him. Although he continued to fight, the odds he faced were impossible. In April 1814, Napoleon s own marshals refused to continue the struggle and stepped down from their positions. During the actual Russian campaign, there were many key factors that greatly impacted his downfall. The largest army ever assembled for one single invasion was reduced to a mere fraction of its original size. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The artillery and small arms were years behind that of France. The Russian army was a conscription army, meaning that local farmers had to furnish a certain number of surfs for military service, as opposed to a professional, trained army where the government supplies the soldiers with all of their needs. An amazing half million soldiers had enlisted in Napoleon s Grand Armée (Saglamer, Beginning of the March). This was the largest army gathered for one single invasion. Russia s army was out numbered 3:1 with only one hundred seventy thousand soldiers. Not only was the Russian army not well trained, they were also ill equipped. Napoleon recognized that it would be difficult and extremely slow for Russia to mobilize her army due to her enormous size and weak infrastructure. If Napoleon invaded now, he knew that he could be well into the Russian territory before meeting any major opposition. On June 24, 1812, Napoleon began his fatal Russian campaign. The Grand Armée, led by Napoleon, crossed the Nieman River, into Russia. On the journey to Moscow, Napoleon met virtually no major opposition. The first stop in the campaign was Kovono. Early into the campaign, the Grand Armée was affected by a colic epidemic that claimed the life of nine thousand horses and thousands of soldiers (Web, Russian Embassy). This slowed the pace of the army. Harsh weather conditions caused the dry roads to turn to mud, making it extremely difficult to maneuver the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Superheroes, Despite Their Different Powers, All Possess Superheroes, despite their different powers, all possess similar characteristics that define them, such as courage, honesty, selflessness, and the maintenance of strong morals. Similarly, King Lear, the tragic hero in William Shakespeare s play, King Lear, possesses characteristics that define him as a tragic hero, as stated by Aristotle in Poetics via A.C. Bradley s The Shakespearean Tragic Hero. King Lear is a character of high social status, and he possesses exceptional qualities that make him a well respected king; however, throughout the play s events, he suffers tremendously in an unusual manner. In addition, Lear, despite being a good character with good intentions, possesses a tragic flaw his pride which ultimately blinds him ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, as the play progresses, his suffering that is caused by the impulsive decision to divide his kingdom is clearly seen. This suffering is illustrated through the loss of his sanity, ultimately due to the sudden loss of his power, his deteriorating relationships with his daughters, and the inability to prevent these negative outcomes. Upon realizing his mistake of solely letting Regan and Goneril inherit his kingdom, Lear is ashamed that [his daughters have the] power to shake [his] manhood (I.iv.299 301). His daughters, who are women and are therefore considered to be less important and powerful in his society, have taken control of Lear s power and life, and it is embarrassing to him as he is used to receiving constant honour, pride, and glory as the King. This illustrates the start of him losing his sanity, and soon, Lear is seen pleading to the gods to keep [him] in temper and to not [let him] be mad, as he is stripped away from all that is his (I.v.43 44). As King Lear pleads for help to maintain his sanity, his sufferings are clearly illustrated as the change in his character is evident; a change from a virtuous, powerful king, to a mentally unstable, powerless, and embarrassed beggar like character. This form of suffering is unusual because a sudden but significant loss of power is rare, especially for someone as powerful and influential as a King. All the sudden negative ... • 9. The Medieval Era Essay example The Medieval Era The Medieval era is so easily generalized into the three orders of those who fight, those who work, and those who pray, or even simply divided into the privileged and unprivileged. These distinctions are important, for the ability of the church and manor to influence a peasant s actions and to take a peasant s earnings was obviously a central component of a peasant s life. However, when peasants constituted such a sizable majority of the population (over 90 percent), it is also important to recognize the distinctions among them. Some peasants were free and some were serfs. Some peasants were well off and some were barely subsisting. Some peasants held manorial offices and some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Through recording land sales and inheritances, the courts rolls explain the economic status of certain peasants, and through recording contracts and crimes committed, they can describe relationships between peasants. For example, Bennett writes, Cecilia illegally took hay off the land of Richard Everard; she let her animals trespass onto the property of others; she argued with Alice Baker, (103). Again, the records are factual but anything that goes beyond the written word is an inference subject to interpretation and generalization. Bennett also uses poems and songs throughout the text. Clues about how privileged people regarded peasants can be found in their courtly songs, sarcastic proverbs, nasty jokes, and pious sermons, writes Bennett (3). However, these only tell about the generalized negative opinions of elites regarding peasants. Personal diaries and letters are missing from the book because almost all peasants were illiterate. Therefore, sources used are for the most part objective and lack emotion. This takes away from the reader s ability to connect with Cecilia as a person. The reader knows that Cecilia was allowed many more rights since she never married, but they do not know if she enjoyed her individuality or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Culture Transplant-Nummi Case A Great Experiment Of Culture Transplant Cross culture management, Prof. Alfred Kieser XiaoJun Ma Culture is a set of basic assumptions, which shared solutions to universal problems of external adaptations and internal integration which have evolved over time and are handed from one generation to the next. This is a general definition of culture. Actually there are many definitions exist, some concentrated on values, others on shared patterns of behaviors and meaning. And what we are going to talk about is the problems of transplanting practices, from one culture into another. There are different types of corporate culture just like there are different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But usually, this failure is credited to lack of understanding about the strong role of culture and the role it plays in organizations, not because the culture does not play an important role in corporations. Actually this is one of the reasons why that many strategic planners now place as much emphasis on identifying strategic values as they affect strategy mission and vision. The facts of logic of industrialization, technology, striving for efficiency have risen the argument that whether organizations should be culture free or not. Too much consideration of culture in an organization could reduce efficiency of the organizations. And it seems like the industrialization and technology development have put the culture problems aside, the conflicts caused by culture different could be ignored in this case. But is this the real situation? First of all, culture affects the beliefs and values of people, and also, it decides the behavior of people, the information gathering method and communication type, decision making and so on, which are all critical in running business. So organizations are actually culture bound in spite of pressures for convergence of the facts of industrialization, globalization and so on. Practices that are transferred to another culture will take on characteristics of the new environment. The environment will select a part of the new culture which is better than ... The experiment is conducted through Size Exclusion Chromatology also known as gel filtration chromatography, which is the isolation of molecules based on their size. Hemoglobin function is to carry oxygen through the body, it can be found in red blood cells, and it is responsible for red color in blood. A protein inside red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to tissues and organs in the body and carries carbon dioxide back to the lungs. (1). Vitamin B 12 or cobalamin is a vital vitamin in the formation of red blood cells. A nutrient in the vitamin B complex that the body needs in small amounts to function and stay healthy. • 12. Hudson River Analysis Geography is another of Nathan s favorite science subjects. He enjoys locating geographical features on maps and globes, and readily identifies cardinal points, land masses and bodies of water. He also studies different types of maps (physical, political, and road) to learn various legend keys. We ve covered physical and political features such as major rivers, mountain ranges, and most powerful countries. All places discussed during our history lessons, routine conversations, and news stories also are pointed to on a map. Nathan has explored nearby geographical features such as Beaverdam Lake and Moodna Creek. This connection is fluid and changing and may yield different connections between the two dependent on when in history or where geographically in the world we look. If we look through an anthropologic lens at humans thousands of years ago, we see a much different connection to nature than our current bond in modern western society. Other regions of the world may have different connection to nature than we in the western modern world do. However, it is the objective of this paper is to demonstrate how humans of the modern western world are connected to the natural world around us through the interpretation of a photograph. In this paper, through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Due to the immense size of the orca and the almost precarious position of the man on top of its nose it could appear as though the man might be about to be eaten. This, in all other contexts, might make more sense just due to the immense size of the orca. It is hard to believe humans could have such control over these creatures. However, if we pursued this argument further the crowd of onlookers in the background would perhaps ruin this illusion. If the man on top of the orca was being eaten the spectators would have to be viewed as a part of some ritual of sacrifice to an orca. Their position and surrounding environment of stands brings with it the idea of entertainment and viewership. However, the crowd seems to be much too complicit and content if we assumed this was a sacrificial ritual and appear much more like this connection between the orca and man is something controlled and a reoccurring event. As well the trees to the side of the photograph ruin the illusion that this is happening in a natural environment and implies that this is happening in an artificial environment, which automatically implies that humans have somehow created and brought in orca into this constructed environment. Therefore, it appears this other interpretation does not carry the same amount probability as my previous one. Therefore, I believe me original interpretation of the domination over nature and commodification of nature is the argument that holds the most ground. Even if we look at the photo in a totally opposite interpretation it is hard to escape the idea that humans have some sort of control or are in a position above nature in this ... • 17. League Of The Iroquois Research Paper The League of the Iroquois is a historic confederacy comprised of the Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, and later the Tuscarora tribes. Coming with the message of peace, Deganawida tried to convince the tribes to become one mind, one heart, one law. He saw the advantages of coming together as a united people and the foolishness of the constant infighting. Upon the formation of the league, the Mohawk chief Hiawatha made strings of wampum as a symbol that became significant in diplomatic meetings and treaties. The tribes came together to form the league for several reasons: because of their devotion to the law of retaliation, tribes were constantly at war with each other. In addition to internal warfare, Europeans were beginning to appear in North America, and it is speculated that the tribes agreed to form the confederacy in order to seem united to the foreigners encroaching on their land. They could not defend their land from the Europeans while fighting with each other at the same time. He had a sister Margareta, and at least two brothers, Hubert (died 1426) and Lambert was active between 1431 and 1442 (Both of them were also painters). Yet the order of their births is not known. Another significant, and rather younger, painter who worked in Southern France, Barthélemy van Eyck, is presumed to be a relation. It is not known where Jan was educated, but he had knowledge of Latin and used the Greek and Hebrew alphabets in many of the inscriptions, indicating that he was schooled in the classics. (From Wikipedia) The first ever record of Eyck is from the court of John of Bavaria at The Hague, where payments were made to Jan van Eyck between 1422 and 1424 as court painter, with the court rank of valet de chambre. Facio places him among the best artists of the early 15th century, along with Rogier van der Weyden, Gentile da Fabriano, and Pisanello. It is particularly interesting that Facio shows as much enthusiasm for Netherlandish painters as he does for Italian painters. At this point we are down to flour and corn starch these two show the same results in the iodine test the both turn into a thick black gel. Continuing on to the heat test they show generally the same, but the flour starts to smoke unlike the corn starch just turning brown after a while, but this is still a pretty close difference between the two so then we go back to the vinegar test where the corn starch sat on top and hardened the flour just sat on top of the vinegar so now this is two differences we have found comparing the flour to our mystery powder.
