2. Casting for role of Gary:
The role I’m casting for is Gary.
Main requirements:
I am looking for someone that is perceived as a
family man but in fact has a dark past. This
person needs to be able to rein act this and
show that they have a slight psycho side to
them. They need to look the age of around 50
and have a lot of availability as they are going
to be my main character.
Suitability of the person:
The person I am considering is a suitable choice
as I live with him so availability will be good.
They also have the right look as they are
actually around of age range of 50 so this will
look more realistic and the character
believable. As this person also has a family of
his own it won’t be difficult to perceive him as
a family man. He is also quite good acting so
this will be an advantage when it comes to
scenes where he will really need to act as
someone else.
3. Casting of role Alison:
The role I’m casting for is Alison.
Main requirements:
I am looking for someone that has a
mother presence and is perceived as
someone that cares and looks after
her family. She has seem normal
and just lives an everyday family
life, although she needs to look like
a strong headed woman that knows
what she wants. She needs to
available as she is the second main
character.
Suitability of the person:
The person I am considering is very
suitable this role as she has an
actual family and a husband and
has a natural caring nature so the
role won’t be difficult to act. As I
live with her, her availability will be
good.
4. Casting of role George:
The role I’m casting for is George.
Main requirements:
I am looking for a teenage boy that is quite
moody and basically exactly as a teenager
is perceived. He needs to be quiet but at
times of need comes through, he will be
quiet lazy but in the opening sequence
the characteristic of this character won’t
be shown. Acting has to be good as there
is some scenes that need good acting to
make them believable. This person also
needs to be available when needed.
Suitability of the person:
The person I am considering is very suitable
for this role as this shows their exact
personality, as this opening sequence is
based on the different characteristic of
the family it’s helpful that I have a cast
that represent this and this person does
so well. As I live with this person their
availability is also good.
5. Casting of role Rebecca:
The role I’m casting for is Rebecca.
Main requirements:
I am looking for a teenage girl that follows
the typical stereotype someone that
wears makeup has long hair. I need her
to be lazy and slightly dumb and lacks
common sense. I need them to be
available at all times, even though they
aren't a main character. There is some
scenes there good acting has to be done
to make it believable.
Suitability of person:
The person I am considering for this role
is myself, as I feel I fit the requirements
well, as I have previously done a lot of
acting within school I can create the
character of Rebecca well. Also I will
obviously be available at all times.
