Advantages And Disadvantages Of Electoral System
The Oxford Dictionary (Oxforddictionaries.com, 2016) defines an election as a formal and
organised choice by vote of a person for a political office or other position . This is the same in all
democratic countries, however, no two countries have the exact same procedure for carrying out
elections. There are many ways in which electionscan differ from state to state, for example, does
the entire population have the same choice of people to vote for or is the voting based on
constituencies, or are people voting for individuals or a whole party. The variation between them
lies within the electoral systems employed in each of these countries. Electoral systems are simply
the rules of elections and how they are conducted. The electoral system affects the type and level of
interaction between politicians and constituents (PR STV and localism in Irish politics, 2011).
In Ireland, since gaining independence in 1922, representatives of DГЎil Eireann have been elected
by proportional representation by single transferable vote (Gallagher, 2016). In 1937 it was set out
in Bunreacht na hEireann that Dail Eireann shall be composed of members who represent
constituencies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This representation can sometimes mean a member of the DГЎil prioritises the good of their own
local people instead of what is best for the state. Candidates in the general election have to make
certain promises to their community in the hopes of being elected and if elected have to do their
best to ensure they will be re elected by keeping their supporters content. This may not seem like
such a negative effect at first but it can result in a parliament, weakened by its members lack of
focus on national issues, and thereby unable to fully hold the government to account (PR STV and
localism in Irish politics,

The Pros And Cons Of Ethical Dilemmas
The case represents an unethical dilemma. The case describes about a customer in a supermarket
store who slipped and seriously got injured. The customer saw the sign; however, she chose to
disregard the warning sign about the wet floor. She incurred serious injuries that lead to large
hospital bills and the person missed several months of work. The worst part is that the she does not
have insuranceto pay hospital bills, nor has any source of support. In this situation, the injured
customer s attorney is going to sue the supermarket store for the reparations. Nevertheless, the
attorney suggested to the employee to testify that there was no sign in place to warn that the floor
was wet and if the employee would do what the attorney told her to do, then the payment would be
handled by the insurance company. However, the attorney states that the state law in which this
incident occurred, requires the supermarket to place a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the first rationalization in this situation is to have sympathy or sympathize with the injured
customer. For instance, the insurance company can afford the loss, while the injured customer
cannot. Although, it could be true that the insurance company can afford the loss, while the injured
customer cannot, this would still be insurance fraud. Under the positive law this is known as illegal
and unethical. Second rationalization in this situation is the use of another state law in the case.
For example, in the place where the incident occurred, the law states that placing a warning sign is
inadequate. It could be true in different states, but we must obey the law in which the states we live
in. The truth is that the customer deliberately chose to ignore the warning sign and thus leads to
injuring the customer

Paul s Case by Willa Cather
Some say money changes you, some say money changes the people around and others say
money changes everyone. In Willa Cather s Paul s Case , Paul is a teenage misfit who lives in a
Pittsburgh neighborhood. The love of money is put on such a high pedestal that it consumes
Paul and the way which he lives. Everything he does is influenced by his desire for wealth. His
love for theater and art becomes an addiction and drive him to steal money and retreat to New
York. Here, Paul experiences the fast life as he dines and shops expensively. Paul then realizes
he is the victim of his own demise and takes his own life. Paul s obsession with theater, luxury
and the dystopian society he lives in are the reasons for his isolation and loss of life. Willa Cather
provides insights to how Paul wants to feel important in his life instead of being an outsider in
society. In his job, Paul works as an usher in Carnegie Hall. The narrator states, As the house filled,
he grew more and more vivacious and animated, and the color came to his cheeks and lips. It
was very much as though this were a great reception and Paul were the host. (Cather 13). The
narrator shows the reader how Paul feels more important as he helps people in the theater. It is as
if the sight of people filling the room and needing Paul s help breathes life into Paul. Author E.K.
Brown writes, He felt the pull of New York...to feel himself in the center of the plot of all dreams

Assignment: Beneficial impact of Mary Ainsworth s Strange Situation Test in order to better
understand the importance of attachment in an individual s developmental processes.
The relationship between the child and caregiver is very important and impacts later behavioral,
psychological, and cognitive development. Therefore, many scientists focused their studies and
research on the attachment as an emotional bond. Mary Ainsworth (Developmental Psychologist)
collaborated to the Attachment Theory and explained thoroughly using Strange Situation Test. The
purpose of the test was the observation of 12 18 months children left by mothers or caregivers in
the room with the stranger. Ainsworth was looking at children s reaction whether they will be upset
or engage in the play. After detailed analysis of the results it was concluded that there are two types
of attachments: secure and unsecured impacting the development and causing different kinds of
behavior. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After the caregiver leaves the room, the child is a little upset and cries. However, after a few
minutes calms down and starts playing. When mother or caregiver comes back, the child is happy
and shows emotional comfort. This is a natural and the most favored behavior that impacts child
future imperatively. It has been told that these children who feel affection and care are become
more confident in themselves. They also become more independent and open for social interactions.
They are more likely to be successful in learning, gaining new abilities, and achieving new
accomplishments. Secure attachment gives the child the security and confidence they really need

Last spring I was interviewed and chosen to represent my school at Utah Girls State. This program,
sponsored and directed by the American Legion Auxiliary, provides the opportunity for girls all
across Utah to understand in much greater detail how our government is run. Graduating has many
requirements, such as: participating as a citizen, voting in all elections, one public speech, holding
a government position, upholding moral standards, completing a workbook, and writing three
essays on various topics. In essence, I spent a week at Weber State creating a society and

Gender Bathrooms
Letting any Gender into any Bathroom, a good Idea?
Stores and different establishments around the world are having to face a difficult challenge of
letting people go into gendered bathrooms they assign themselves to, or having to enforce the
rule of boys in boys and girls in girls. There are many cases of this being shown in today s world.
Target was the first of letting people chose what bathroom suites them based on their choice of
gender, and now they are revoking it due to complications and backlash from customers, instead
they are now making a compromise that suites all but will cost them up to twenty million dollars.
Although many people will say gender bathrooms are foolish because gender is a choice, they

NETW360 Week 1 iLab: Basic RF Calculations
The power emitted from wireless devices, especially in unlicensed bands, such as 2.4 GHz and 5
GHz, are regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Wireless network
professionals must calculate power levels (or RF signal strength) that are being transmitted by
wireless devices to make sure their designs are complaint with FCC regulations. They also need to
calculate power levels that are being received by wireless devices to make sure the signal is
properly received at the destination.
RF power can be measured in two ways: on the linear scale, by the number of watts that are being
transmitted; and on a relative scale, by the number of decibels (dBs) instead of watts.

The same idea can be applied to conversions from dBm to mW when a dBm value is not readily
available in the 3 s and 10 s rules table.
For instance, what is 13 dBm in mW?
First, 13 dBm = 0 dBm + 10 dBm + 3 dBm, where 0 dBm, 10 dBm, and 3 dBm are in the table.
Next, let s apply the following 3 s and 10 s rules:
В·0 dBm = 1 mW
В·When the dBm value increases by adding 10, the mW value increases by the factor of 10.
В·When the dBm value increases by adding 3, the mW value increases by the factor of 2.
Finally, we have 13 dBm = 0 dBm + 10 dBm + 3 dBm = 1 mW Г— 10 Г— 2 = 20 mW.
В·Applying the 3 s and 10 s rules, what s 7 dBm in mW (must show steps)?

Etiological Theories And Social Implications Essay
Etiological Theories and Social Implications In this earliest period of recognition, people in the
psychiatric community began to formulate theories as to why children developed conditions like
autism and schizophrenia. Some theorized about the possibility of a genetic predisposition early on,
but the ideas of some influential figures in the field proposed theories with rather damaging
implications (Donvan, 2016). Kanner himself initially thought that autismwas a result of a distant
mother (Silberman, 2015). Finn writes of Bruno Bettelheim, a controversial figure who widely
propagated this previously synthesized refrigerator mother theory. The causative crux, it was
proposed, was cold ideation and behavior of mothers in regards to their children. He and some
others believed that negative emotions on part of mothers about the existence of their children,
even subconscious ones, caused these children to retreat into themselves for protection. Bettelheim,
having been victimized by the Nazis, reported that he had seen withdrawn behaviors expressed by
others suffering in the camp that very closely resembled the withdrawn and self comforting
behaviors of children with autism and schizophrenia (1997). It seemed reasonable to him that these
behaviors stemmed from a severe insult to a child s sense of safety and trust in his mother. The
patent result of such a proposal is the stigmatization of parents of children with autism. Given the
severe stigmatization of autism and

performed on September 21, 1599. In Act III Scene 2, Marcus Junius Brutus also known as
Brutus in the play was giving a speech to notify the citizens of Rome. When Brutus finished with
his spiel, Marcus Antonius commonly known as Antony in the play gave a heartfelt speech
telling his fellow SPQR (Romans) on the death of a great leader, and a great friend. There were

persuasion to break down the spirits of his fellow Romans. Antony played the emotions of the
crowd and turned their anger towards Brutus for killing their great leader Julius Gaius Caesar.
Antony told the people about Caesar s will . Teasing the emotionally devasted crowd, because he
will not read the will aloud. When Antony read the will, it stated that every citizen gold drachmas.
Marcus Antonius started talking about Pompey and how Caesar fell at the feet of Pompey s
statue. During the planning stage of the assassination, Cassius said Antony was a limb of Caesar
meaning if Caesar died, Antony would replace him. After saying that Cassius decided that he
wanted to kill Marc Antony also. Brutus thought killing Antony was too much bloodshed and all
of it would have been all in the hands of the conspirators. If Brutus listened to Cassius none of
these problems would happen. The citizens of Rome would still be on the good side with the
conspirators. Brutus and Cassius wouldn t be torn apart by the angry

Government s Singularity Of Power
Incompetent Leaders:
Monarchy s singularity of power provides people with a symbolic and focused area for group
loyalty and identity. Monarchy can be beneficial in some instances, such as when decisions need to
be made quickly without consulting with a large group of people. Monarchy sometime requires
strong leadership in order to get things accomplished quickly and efficiently. In contrast to the early
leaders, the late Qing emperors in the nineteenth century were weak in the sense that they lacked
the abilities to effectively control the military, which led to the unstable government. In the summer
of 1831, Empress Xiaoquancheng bore emperor Daoguang a son named Xianfeng. At age of 19 and
was a relatively young, emperor Xianfeng received the throne, which made him the 9th Emperor of
the Manchu led Qing dynasty, and the 7th Qing emperor to rule over China, from 1850 to 1861.
Shortly after emperor Xianfeng was on the throne, the first of a series of popular rebellions began
that would nearly destroy the Qing dynasty. The Taiping Rebellionbroke out in Southern China.
The Manchu troops that the emperor Xianfeng sent to suppress the rebellion proved so ineffective
that the rebels were able to move Northward and gained control of many cities included Nanjing
in 1853, and almost got the imperial capital of Beijing in between 1854 5 (Teng, 9). In the attempt
to put an end to the rebellion, emperor Xianfeng had to rely on other talented Chinese leaders to

The Rise and Fall of the Eugnics Movement Essay
Introduction
According to Merriam Webster.com, eugenics is defined as the theory dealing with the production
or treatment of a fine, healthy race. Despite this seemingly innocent representation, eugenics is an
extremely controversial science. Some even debate whether or not it is worthy of the label of
science, or if it s just a form of intellectual racism. Nevertheless, eugenics was greatly embraced and
was behind a scientific and social revolution during the late 19th century through the Second World
War. This essay will explore the topic of eugenics which has disappeared from today s science
textbooks. This includes a thorough history of the origin of eugenics, the people behind its
movement, as well as its application in society. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Kevles, 6) Why Galton turned to eugenics is a mystery. He was a mathematician by degree with
little to no experience in biology. He treated the study of eugenics as if it were a statistical
problem, something completely foreign to the field of biology. (Kevles, 13)
Galton believed that a wide range of human characteristics were inherited, including mental,
physical, and moral traits. This view was stimulated in part by Galton s cousin, Charles Darwin,
and his recent work in the field of evolution. Although Darwin didn t play a direct role in
eugenics, he had shown how man, despite his relative complexity as compared to plants and most
animals, was still evolving. Because of this, Galton reasoned that humans could be controlled and
manipulated so that the next generation would be of higher stock. He reasoned that man had been
focusing too much on the evolution of lower level species for too long. So long in fact, that
human defectives [were] increasing at such an alarming rate that, unless some efficient methods
[were] devised for keeping them in check, they [would] endanger the welfare of the entire race.
(Fasten, 283) In the mind of Galton it was essential to fix this problem. He concurred that all
creatures would agree that it was better to be healthy than sick, vigorous than weak, well fitted than
ill fitted for their part in life; in short, that it was

Sparks study, using tools to allow creative minds to blossom is something he suggests.
According to a study published in The Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology, by Cory Armes,
M.E suggests hyperactivity may actually help students overcome their attention problems.
Running, jumping and even rolling around in class actually helps an ADHD student
concentrate. Most ADHD students become restless when they are asked to do a task involving
the use of the executive functioning of the brain. Research also shows when students with
ADHD were asked to do a task which involved working with memory and organization, students
that were given permission to move or fidget performed much better than students who were
asked to be still. This study proves the ADHD student s gross motor movements helps them
finish intellectual tasks. In essence if a student with ADHD is allowed to move around and
fidget, they will be more successful in their work. What does this mean to the average student
and teacher? Studies have shown to help an ADHD student succeed, he or she must be allowed
to be hyperactive. How does one control this hyperactive behavior? A wobble chair, an exercise
ball as a seat and small fidget devices such as squishy balls, cubes, and spinners can be used by
ADHD students to keep them in their space and be less of a distraction for others in the class.

Hanger Times Gravity
Normal force is the force the surface exerts on an object and since the hanger was not on the
ground the normal force is 0. The normal force is mgcosОё because if the surface was flat the
normal force would be equal to the force of the object (mg), but since the wooden block was on an
inclined plane I had to account for the angle. To find the coefficient of frictionI first found the
tension in the string. I did this by using the top equation. Sine the Fn is 0 I was left with tension
(Fy) minus the massof the hanger times gravity = mass times acceleration (Fy mg = ma). I knew
that the hanger was moving at constant speed, so the acceleration was 0. Since the acceleration
was zero I was left with tension minus the mass of the hanger times gravity(9.8) which means the
tension equals the mass of the hanger times gravity ( Fy = 9.8 x .037 Tension = .363N).
Fy 0 9.8(.037) = .037(0)
I then substituted values into the second equation. Fx = .363 ( Tension) and 1.06124sin(29.5В°) =
.523 . mg = 9.8 x .10829 = 1.06124 Fn = 1.0624cos(29.5) = .924 a = 0 ( moving at constant speed)

I made the tension and the Ff (force of friction) negative because they were opposing the block s
motion. To find the angle I used trig identity. Trig identity is two equations that can only be used
if an object is moving at constant speed or on the verge of moving. Since the block was traveling
at constant speed I could use Ој = tanОё or Оё = inverse tangent of Ој. I found Ој so I did the
inverse tangent of it and found that the angle that the block would slid down at constant speed with

Analyzing Oprah Winfrey s Speech
During Oprah Winfrey s speech at the Golden Globes she thanks her predecessors for making
history and delivers a powerful message. She talks about social inequality of women and how they
must come together to change it. She talks of past examples of women being treated as less and
justice not being served equally for both sexes.
The word black has several different meanings. It could be simply the color of something,
nothing more than a clear cut descriptive word. But in some cases there is a double meaning
behind this color. Oprah talks of a man saying, ... his skin black and he was being celebrated.
Winfrey talks of the color of black as a race, a race that had been treated as less since the
foundations of America was set into place. This man she spoke of was Sidney Poitier, who was the
first ever African Americanto win this Cecil B. Demille award. Oprah talks of a black man

Christianity And Paganism In Beowulf And The Dream Of The...
Christianity with a hint of Paganism
In the 11th Century, cultures in Europe were experiencing cultural diffusion. The previously Pagan
values were being replaced with the rapidly expanding Christian faith. Although this change was
occurring, the literature still held on to Pagan values. Previously, literature was based on the
prominent warrior culture. Cultural diffusion caused the writers to include more Christian values
into their works while also referring elements of Pagan values and the Warrior s code. Two literary
works in particular, Beowulf and the The Dream of the Rood are influenced by this culture shift. In
Beowulf, the main character is a hero who slays beasts and rules his people, applying to both the
Warrior s code of the Pagan culture and Christian values. In The Dream of the Rood, the narrator
dreams of Christ s crucifixion which exemplifies the values of Christian culture by telling the story
of the most important event in Christian beliefs, along with subtly including Pagan values to apply
to the audience of their time. Among the many traits of Pagan and Christian values, heroism is

Who Is Mending Wall, And Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy...
In the poems by Robert frost, Mending Wall , The Road Not Taken , and Stopping by the Woods
on a Snowy Evening . As we take a broad view, we see a correlation of the theme from all three
poems. Consisting of either an outdoor setting or nature setting
2.In The Road Not Taken , we see the narrator, Robert Frost, comes upon a fork in the road while
walking through the yellow wood. He takes a while and thinks about both paths and decides that
each path is equally often taken and they both catch his attention. After choosing one of the roads,
the narrator tells himself that he will come back to this fork one day to try the other road. But, he
realizes that this is highly unlikely that he will ever will come back to this specific point ... Show

A few moments later, he decides to continue his trail ride.
5.This poem is somewhat, very complex. As we look at the first, second, and fourth line rhyme,
(Know, though, and snow.) while the third line rhymes with them as well, but in the sense of,
(here, queer, near, and year.) Iambic meter, four stanzas with them each having four stressed
syllables. He also repeats the final line twice, that he would like to stay more but must move on
with life. The poem also gives off a hint of him wanting to express adventure, and experiences of
new things perhaps.
6.In his piece, Mending Wall , it seems to talk about two neighbors meeting to repair a wall that
divides their property. The narrator is skeptical, he does not seem to understand the need for a
wall when there is no livestock to be contained or anything of the sorts, only an apple and pine
tree. He does not believe that a wall should exist simply for it just to be there. He cannot help but
come to notice that many people out in the world, or their area does not seem to like the wall as
much as hi=e does not like the wall. Then, gaps begin to appear in the wall out of nowhere,
boulders fall for no reason. The neighbor, proclaims that the wall is crucial to maintaining their
relationship, ultimately stating, Good fences make good neighbors.
7.We can see from the way this poem is set up, the narrator has no real set or meter of this poem. It
s like a blank verse type deal. The narrator seems

Nietzschean Values
In my essay I will be discussing three topics from the Nietzschean texts The Gay Science and
Thus Spoke Zarathustra. The three main topics concerning these texts that I will talk about are the
overman , the death of God and the new and old sets of values . Briefly, how these three topics
relate is that once God is dead, (meaning that we do not believe in him anymore), humanity will
have to create new sets of values. These new sets of values will need to have our own meaning
instead of looking to a metaphysical world for truth. I think that the overman , is the men that will
be able to completely abandon the old set of values and create the new ones; he is both a
lawbreaker and a law creator.
First off, I want to talk about the concept ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is the man that will completely eliminate the metaphysical part of his life and move on to a new
era. Nietzsche talks about the overman in his book Thus Spoke Zarathustra when he says: I teach
you the overman. Man is something that shall be overcome. (124). Additionally, Nietzsche
mentions the the overman in another very interesting quotation saying: Man is a rope tied
between beast and overman a rope over an abyss. A dangerous across, a dangerous on the way, a
dangerous looking back, a dangerous shuddering and stopping. What is great in man is that he is a
bridge and not an end... (Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, 126). This quotation tells us that the
modern man is a bridge to becoming the overman but he is scared of what is on the other side.
What that means, is that in order for the modern man to completely abandon the old values and to
overcome the belief in God, he must cross that bridge and become the overman. This quotation
explains to us in an abstract way the challenge that the modern man must overcome in order to
become the

Society s Influence in Pride and Prejudice and The Edible Woman
Throughout history, society has played an important role in forming
the value and attitudes of the population. Jane Austen s Pride and
Prejudice and Margaret Atwood s The Edible Woman are two novels which
exemplify the negative effects of society s influence. Both Elizabeth
Bennet and Marian McAlpin are strong women who rebel against society s
influences in their lives. They refuse to accept the pre set roles and
identities handed to them. Both women realize that the individual s needs
are not necessarily the same as what society imposes on them; they rebel

Elizabeth refuses to
accept this view. She feels marriage is for love, not money, and finds it a
fantastic nightmare that economic and social institutions have such
power over the values of personal relationships (Harding 167). However,
Charlotte later marries Mr. Collin and sacrifices love for worldly
advantage. Mr. Darcy also assumes everyone marries for wealth. He feels
the Bennet s lack of money must very materially lessen their chance of
marrying men of any consideration of the world (Austen 82). Darcy is
mindful of his relationship to society, proud of his social place, and
aware of the restrictions that inevitably limit the free spirit (Litz 104).
Darcy s admiration of Elizabeth grows when she demonstrates her wit in a
conversation with him. Darcy really believed, that were it not for the
inferiority of her connections, he should be in some danger (Austen 96).
He thinks he loves Elizabeth, yet he continues to degrade her on the basis
of her family s socioeconomic situation. Society s view of marriage is
evident through the many characters who express monetary views of the
sacred institution.
Elizabeth finally finds happiness when she takes control of her
situation and completely disregards society. After a series of events both
Darcy and Elizabeth fall in love for real. However, the two are still not
free to be together. Lady Catherine de

The theological model John Barbour lists the various models for Christ s atonement: suffering,
sacrificial victim, liberator and moral example. In ethics, the servant model may clarify how
Christians are to behave. (20) Marc Cortez notes that in the context of theology we have a
translation model. This model articulates absolute biblical truths in a manner that is easily
communicated and understood. The praxis model, however, is more concerned with transforming
these truths into action. Cortez points out that the purpose of a theological model is to spell out,
clarify, and extend the conceptual content and implications of a model. The primary value of
theoretical models is that of suggesting potentially fruitful lines of inquiry and the revelation of
new interpretations.

Cultural Differences Case Study
Executive Summary
Cultural differences, can manifest and accentuate personal and professional mannerism. A French
manager named Chalon, with 18 years of multicultural management experience, upon moving to the
United States encounters difficulties with his management style. In order to observe the
relationship between management and cultural differences, we explored: communication; leadership
and group management roles in a multicultural environment; alternative solutions such as mapping,
bridging and integrating (MBI); freezing, pleasing or teasing leadership; effective feedback. The
ideas are a subset in evaluating cultural differences in management, but will serve as helpful
development for cultural intelligence for Chalon.

Thomas Jefferson had just expanded the United States territory immensely. This purchase was
known as the Louisiana Purchase, which is arguably the best decision in US history. All the new
land resulted in several unknown questions. Some of them were, what does this land provide,
what animals are out there, who can be found on this land? To answer some of these mysterious
questions Jefferson sent Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to explore the Louisiana Purchase.
They also were sent to form learn and form relationships with the people all ready on the land they
are about to explore. One of their stops on their journey was at what now is known as Fort Mandan,
in Bismarck, North Dakota. Here is where Lewis and Clark s relationship with the Mandan tribe
was crucial because their next steps have never been explored by whites. Only the Indians knew
what the land looked like from North Dakota to the Pacific Ocean. The Mandan tribe was able to

both the white explorers and the Mandan tribe they both benefited from their relationships they
formed over the winter months of 1804 because Lewis and Clark did not anticipate spending the

The fourth challenge and issue that affects the family businesses in Malaysia is leadership
which is basically the compass for the direction of the family business. It is very hard for family
business to have good leadership because it involves leading, involving, and also motivating the
people in the family business so that they share the same goal. So, if the leader of the family
business is strong, then the chance of the business to succeed will surely be very high. The first
thing is that the good leader must have the stamina and the passion to lead. Besides that, the
leader must have a wide knowledge of the economy and also the industry itself so that he or she
can direct a most beneficial way for the family business to approach and also giving a sense of
common purpose. Lastly, the leader must have power to control the people in the family business
and tell them what is the plan and what they need to do.
The last challenge and issue that affects the family businesses in Malaysia is fair compensation
which also includes fair treatment to the people involved in the family business. The reason why
this is a common issue in family business is because that the family members always tend to treat
their own family member better and they also make bias decision most of the time. The most

Thomas Paine once said, Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst
state, an intolerable one. Thomas Paine, the author of not just Common Sense but also The

So to start, Thomas Paine was born January 29th, 1737 in Thetford, England. Even as a little boy
his father had high expectations, so when Paine failed out of school at age 12 his father was very
disappointed. At age 19, he set out to sea, but eventually failed at that too. Paine became a tax

Prospero, the male lead of the Tempest, starts out as the victim of the play, but as the story goes

Prospero is important because he is the puppeteer that leads all of the characters to complete his
orders. He strings all of the characters along to do his bidding, and by the end of the play, he is the
only one who wins. Prospero is interesting because, without him, there would be no plot. He is the

Prospero also punishes Trinculo and Stephano for no reason. Trinculo and Stephano have no reason
to be on the island besides aiding and abetting Caliban in his plot to overthrow Prospero. Because
Prospero originally made the different groups of people who stayed on the island, he must have
wanted Trinculo and Stephano to meet Caliban, and in turn punish them for a crime that he made

Prospero enslaves Caliban and Ariel, seizing the island for him and Miranda, just like Alonso
and Antonio had done to him. The rightful ruler of the island is Caliban, and although Caliban at
one time tried to rape Miranda, Prospero repeatedly punishes him for this one event that occurred
much before this play takes place. Prospero initially helps Caliban by educating him and in
exchange, Caliban taught Prospero and Miranda how to survive on the island. Prospero uses the
act of attempted rape to justify his seizure of the island. This take over should have been enough

By endlessly punishing Caliban, Prospero inadvertently shows his malicious side. Although

The movie The Rabbit proof Fence , directed by Phillip Noyce, tells a story of family values

The Rabbit proof Fence sets in Perth, Australia in the 1930s, when the Australian government

Health And The Healthiness Of Their Organisations
Work stress is recognised worldwide as a major challenge to workers health and the healthiness

less inclined to be effective in a focused business sector. Stress can be realized by pressures at

Introduction:
The purpose of this article is to illustrate how financial cutbacks affect job quality as well as
quality of care (Burns, D. J., Hyde, P. J., Killett, A. M., 2016, p. 991). The article further goes on
to predict that ongoing and accelerated cost places pressure on facilities that ultimately affects the

The authors posed a question on whether or not the financial objectives of a for profit or non profit
play a role in the quality care. This study lacks the examination of whether or not these nursing
homes have the resources to organize certain work processes or the actual outcomes they achieve in
terms of care. The authors again use the two different approaches throughout the article to
determine whether these approaches and financial cutbacks affect the quality of workforce that
ultimately affect the quality of care residents receive (Burns, D. J., Hyde, P. J., Killett, A. M., 2016,
p. 995).
Methods:
The authors took a qualitative design to their research to developed an understanding why the
quality of care varied across several nursing homes (Burns, D. J., Hyde, P. J., Killett, A. M., 2016,
p. 995). This study included 12 different nursing homes which consist of a mixture of non profit
and for profit nursing homes and residential living communities over the course of three years

Bayer had introduced heroin as being non addicting. Unknowingly, he had in fact, introduced drugs,
with the original intention of curing addiction, with the problem of actually having created more
powerful and addictive drugs and more addicts as a result. The abuse of narcotics continued for
most of the nineteenth century. As the temperance movement demonstrated, the addiction of most
concern for the time was alcohol. As the true effects and actions of narcotics were not yet
understood, many physicians prescribed morphine and heroin as cures for addiction to alcohol.
The re were no legal constraints on the importation or use of opium in the United States until the
early 1900s. So prolific was the availability these elixirs and so called snake oil cures that in 1900
it was estimated that 3.3 million doses of opium a month were being sold in the state of Vermont
(Inciardi, 1990). At the turn of the twentieth century, a number of factors were contributing to a
growing drug abuse problem in America. Primarily there was the unrestricted availability of opium
and the recent invention of the hypodermic needle. However, two additional drugs would prove to
be an unsettling concern that were about to explode in American culture. Cocaine was isolated in
pure form in 1860 but saw no substantial use until 1883 when a German military physician supplied
it to Bavarian soldiers during maneuvers citing the

The Importance Of Natural Resources
In today s fast pace society, we often do not pay much attention to the amount of natural resources
we are consuming, and the limited supply of these resources that we will have in the future. The
depletion of natural resources is the consumption of a resource faster than it can be replenished. All
humanbeings depend on these natural resources for our basic needs. People often take for granted
the abundance of natural resources we have as of now, and use them at an unsustainable rate,
putting many of these resources on the verge of becoming depleted. It is reported that humans are
using 30% more resources than the Earth can replenish each year, thus leading to deforestation,
degraded soils and land, and polluted air and water. Our current world populationis 7.2 billion and
growing at a rapid rate of about 1.14% per year, however the earth s natural resources are only
sustainable for 2 billion at the current demand. As populations grow, consumption increases at a
faster rate than technology can find new ways to produce natural resources, and the problem
gradually gets worse. At the way humans are living, we are using 2 3 times more of the earth s
natural resources than what is sustainable. Our ecological footprint is 1 ВЅ times the earth s ability
to provide the resources needed to meet this level of consumption. When humans need
employment, food, or ways to raise their standard of living, they often look to practices such as
deforestation and burning of fossil fuels as easy

Senator Ted Cruz s Presidential Campaign
After a crushing defeat in Tuesday s Indiana primary, Texas Senator Ted Cruz ended his
presidential bid, clearing the way for GOP front runner to become the presumptive nominee.
Tonight, I m sorry to say, it appears that path has been foreclosed, Cruz said, as supporters began
shouting emotionally No! And so with a heavy heart, but with boundless optimism for the long term
future of our nation, we are suspending our campaign. Cruz added, But hear me now, I am not
suspending our fight for liberty. The news of Cruz suspending his campaign came from his
campaign manager Jeff Roe Despite being mathematically eliminated from clinching the 1,237

The alliance left both campaign supporters questioning their motives as a recent NBC News
/WSJ poll showed voters overwhelmingly opposed the alliance. The alliance became shaky just
hours after both campaigns announced their divide and conquer plan when Kasich said his
supporters should still vote for him even though he wasn t campaigning there. The alliance
quickly dissolved when Cruz stated there was no alliance leading to Kasich s campaign to tweet
out a subliminal message of I hate liars. Last Wednesday, Cruz tried to get the media s attention
away from Trump s foreign policy address by announcing his Vice Presidential pick, his former
rival Carly Fiorina. The move was seen as a sign of desperate according to many media pundit
who questioned why would Cruz who was mathematically eliminated from becoming the nominee

Fiorina, who became his strongest surrogate after endorsing the Senator before the Florida
primary in mid March would help with the moderate Republicans and woman voters. After
announcing Cruz Fiorina 2016, Fiorina campaigned alongside the Cruz, a mistake the Cruz s
campaign employed. Previous approaches in Iowa and Wisconsin used by the Cruz s campaign
would deploy their top surrogates in key suburbs as a divide and conquer approach. It wasn t until
Monday that Cruz s campaign changed their approach but it was already to late when he failed to

John Locke And Locke s Theory Of Personal Identity
A person is a thinking thing that has reason and reflection and thinks of itself as the same
thinking thing over time. John Locke, an English philosopher argued that what makes a person
able to identify themselves through time is continuity of one s memories and not the substance
of the body. Bernard Williams, another English philosopher criticized Locke s theory of
personal identity through his body switching experiment. William s argued that personal identity
is found on the body and continuity of one s memories isn t necessary for personal identity. I am
going to argue that personal identity is found on continuity of one s memories by presenting
Locke s view of personal identity, presenting William s criticism of Locke s theory through his
body switching experiments, and providing my own reasons on why personal identity can be
found on continuity of one s memories and not the substance of the body. John Locke argued
that people are able to identify themselves through time if they have continuity of memory.
According to Locke, personal identity is found on continuity of memory and not the substance of
either the soul or body.1 If humans were to lose their memory, it would be impossible to identify
themselves just based upon their bodies. Memory must be preserved in order to preserve your
personal identity.2 Locke, describes that all life forms in this universe are made up of atoms
called a mass of matter . As time goes on, life forms lose and gain matter as

Reflection On City Council Meeting
INTRODUCTION One way to see public administration in action is by attending a city council
meeting, whether it be in an urban or rural area, public administration still has a part in each event.
As Kettl (2018; p. 244) referenced in his book, there is not a civil system that would be sustainable
without strong leadership. This paper will discuss the author s description, observation, and
reflection during a city councilmeeting.
DESCRIPTION
On Monday, October 23, 2017 the author attended Bellevue, Nebraska s city council meeting. The
meeting was called to order right at 6:00 p.m. which ensured all citizens were in their seats. Once it
was called to order, the author noted seeing little people sitting in the community seats. Of those ...

October 23, 2017). A second concern the council expressed was parking. The presenters
mentioned having four off street parking spaces, with a handicap included (Bellevue City
Council Meeting, October 23, 2017). However, the council s concern was that if there was a
bigger function at the park the residents living near the park may experience frustration with a
large amount of people parking near their homes. The next concern was met with an abundance
of conversation. One of the city council members pointed out that in the project layout during
the presentation, there was a lack of sidewalks. This was an important issue in order for people
to walk on the sidewalk instead of in the grass. Another city council member noted that would be
another fundraising project due to the high expense of adding a sidewalk next to the street as
well as addition off street parking (Bellevue City Council Meeting, October 23, 2017). This city
council member also stated that they would need to be cautious when asking the public sector to
come up with the funds (Bellevue City Council Meeting, October 23, 2017). However, it was
agreed upon that the city had enough staff and money to pay for the sidewalks next to the

discussing about how to choose the best replacement windows that suits you. Which type of
material you need? Which type of frame is best? And so on. First of all it is important to find
that why do you want new windows? Are the new windows going to enhance the appearance of
your house? Do you want new windows to improve energy efficiency of your home? Or maybe
you are looking for the windows that serve both purposes? Once all these questions are clear, it

Additionally, they cost high when you buy them. I suggest you to search on the web to get the
maximum discount on replacement windows if you want wooden frame. On the other hand,
aluminum frames are more durable than wood but the problem with these frames is that they
offer less insulation as compared to other materials. So if you choose aluminum frames, you
might need to add thermal breaks to increase insulation. It s better if you consult with your
contractor first. Vinyl frames offers great insulation among all when you compare replacement
windows and it is the best solution but they incur more cost upfront. But you need to keep in the
mind that they recover the cost in short life span. Low cost replacement windows are also
available in the market these days. Selection of Panes You may go with one, two or three panes in
your windows. The number of panes impacts on insulation. If you want great insulation, you
should go for double or triple pane windows. But they incur more cost as compared to single pane
windows. So it is recommended that first you set your budget and then select replacement windows
with appropriate number of panes. And in the end, I would like to suggest you all that whatever
replacement windows you install do not forget to keep them clean and maintained to get the

Business Law Assignment 3.1
Task 1 A fixture is defined as an asset that is fixed or installed to land or building so as to become
a fundamental part of that land or building. An item is deemed to be fixed to property or
building if it is permanently attached to the structure using bolts, screws, nails, or cement.
Fixtures are intended to serve a particular purpose. For example, shelves are fixtures intended to
assist with proper arrangements of items in a shop (Aalberts, 2015). In the case of Goodprice Pty
Ltd, the new extractor fans to be installed by the tenant in his restaurant would be considered as
fixtures. The fans would be fixed on the ceiling, possibly with the help of bolts and screws.
Besides, they would have a purpose: to prevent the ceiling from smoke damage. Their removal
might also damage the ceiling, which is part of the building (Beaty, Samuelson and Bredeson,
2013). At the end the 5 year tenancy period, the restaurant tenant will have the right remove the
extractor fans. The tenant holds removal rights since he installed them at the request of the landlord.

controversy that Shakespeare voluntarily implements in his play are the cause and contributions
that lead up to the death of the two lovers Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. The firsts person
who contributed to the death of Romeo and Juliet is Romeo himself. Romeo continued to see

The Renaissance (Rebirth) declined throughout most of the Europe. The renaissance is an Italian

The artistic and economic changes that are associated with the Renaissance, first began in the
Florence.Trade, crusades and the expansion of commerce in city states (11th and 12th ) centuries
helped florence a lot in economy. Geography also made florence a model of Renaissance culture
because it was central Italy, agriculture thrived in tuscany and Lombardy and Florence conquered

Good versus evil is one of the oldest morality plays in human history, a glorious battle between
the forces that would protect life and those who would destroy it. But who do you cheer when you

between dumb vs. dumber, between Godzilla and Mothra?
Unlike the current Batman VS. Superman movie, where two gladiators battle it out in some empty

The biggest difference between the two men is that Trump is the most thin skinned person in
human history, and reacts to the smallest slight with the hair trigger wounded ego of a male flight
attendant, whereas Ted Cruz is immune to insults because he s learned to live in a world where
everyone everywhere has always hated him.
As the GOP continues to implode, and as a field of 17 Republican candidates is narrowed down
to three, one of whom, John Kasich, has virtually zero chance of capturing enough votes to ensure
nomination, the very real prospect on a Trump or Cruz Presidency becoming reality is pretty
terrifying. Thankfully we have people like Bill Maher to keep us laughing as the political world
burns beneath the feet of these two rampaging monsters.

  • 2. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Electoral System The Oxford Dictionary (Oxforddictionaries.com, 2016) defines an election as a formal and organised choice by vote of a person for a political office or other position . This is the same in all democratic countries, however, no two countries have the exact same procedure for carrying out elections. There are many ways in which electionscan differ from state to state, for example, does the entire population have the same choice of people to vote for or is the voting based on constituencies, or are people voting for individuals or a whole party. The variation between them lies within the electoral systems employed in each of these countries. Electoral systems are simply the rules of elections and how they are conducted. The electoral system affects the type and level of interaction between politicians and constituents (PR STV and localism in Irish politics, 2011). In Ireland, since gaining independence in 1922, representatives of DГЎil Eireann have been elected by proportional representation by single transferable vote (Gallagher, 2016). In 1937 it was set out in Bunreacht na hEireann that Dail Eireann shall be composed of members who represent constituencies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This representation can sometimes mean a member of the DГЎil prioritises the good of their own local people instead of what is best for the state. Candidates in the general election have to make certain promises to their community in the hopes of being elected and if elected have to do their best to ensure they will be re elected by keeping their supporters content. This may not seem like such a negative effect at first but it can result in a parliament, weakened by its members lack of focus on national issues, and thereby unable to fully hold the government to account (PR STV and localism in Irish politics, ... • 3. The Pros And Cons Of Ethical Dilemmas The case represents an unethical dilemma. The case describes about a customer in a supermarket store who slipped and seriously got injured. The customer saw the sign; however, she chose to disregard the warning sign about the wet floor. She incurred serious injuries that lead to large hospital bills and the person missed several months of work. The worst part is that the she does not have insuranceto pay hospital bills, nor has any source of support. In this situation, the injured customer s attorney is going to sue the supermarket store for the reparations. Nevertheless, the attorney suggested to the employee to testify that there was no sign in place to warn that the floor was wet and if the employee would do what the attorney told her to do, then the payment would be handled by the insurance company. However, the attorney states that the state law in which this incident occurred, requires the supermarket to place a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the first rationalization in this situation is to have sympathy or sympathize with the injured customer. For instance, the insurance company can afford the loss, while the injured customer cannot. Although, it could be true that the insurance company can afford the loss, while the injured customer cannot, this would still be insurance fraud. Under the positive law this is known as illegal and unethical. Second rationalization in this situation is the use of another state law in the case. For example, in the place where the incident occurred, the law states that placing a warning sign is inadequate. It could be true in different states, but we must obey the law in which the states we live in. The truth is that the customer deliberately chose to ignore the warning sign and thus leads to injuring the customer ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Paul s Case by Willa Cather Some say money changes you, some say money changes the people around and others say money changes everyone. In Willa Cather s Paul s Case , Paul is a teenage misfit who lives in a Pittsburgh neighborhood. The love of money is put on such a high pedestal that it consumes Paul and the way which he lives. Everything he does is influenced by his desire for wealth. His love for theater and art becomes an addiction and drive him to steal money and retreat to New York. Here, Paul experiences the fast life as he dines and shops expensively. Paul then realizes he is the victim of his own demise and takes his own life. Paul s obsession with theater, luxury and the dystopian society he lives in are the reasons for his isolation and loss of life. Willa Cather provides insights to how Paul wants to feel important in his life instead of being an outsider in society. In his job, Paul works as an usher in Carnegie Hall. The narrator states, As the house filled, he grew more and more vivacious and animated, and the color came to his cheeks and lips. It was very much as though this were a great reception and Paul were the host. (Cather 13). The narrator shows the reader how Paul feels more important as he helps people in the theater. It is as if the sight of people filling the room and needing Paul s help breathes life into Paul. Author E.K. Brown writes, He felt the pull of New York...to feel himself in the center of the plot of all dreams ... (Brown 1). Brown uses this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Etiological Theories And Social Implications Essay Etiological Theories and Social Implications In this earliest period of recognition, people in the psychiatric community began to formulate theories as to why children developed conditions like autism and schizophrenia. Some theorized about the possibility of a genetic predisposition early on, but the ideas of some influential figures in the field proposed theories with rather damaging implications (Donvan, 2016). Kanner himself initially thought that autismwas a result of a distant mother (Silberman, 2015). Finn writes of Bruno Bettelheim, a controversial figure who widely propagated this previously synthesized refrigerator mother theory. The causative crux, it was proposed, was cold ideation and behavior of mothers in regards to their children. He and some others believed that negative emotions on part of mothers about the existence of their children, even subconscious ones, caused these children to retreat into themselves for protection. Bettelheim, having been victimized by the Nazis, reported that he had seen withdrawn behaviors expressed by others suffering in the camp that very closely resembled the withdrawn and self comforting behaviors of children with autism and schizophrenia (1997). It seemed reasonable to him that these behaviors stemmed from a severe insult to a child s sense of safety and trust in his mother. The patent result of such a proposal is the stigmatization of parents of children with autism. Given the severe stigmatization of autism and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Government s Singularity Of Power Incompetent Leaders: Monarchy s singularity of power provides people with a symbolic and focused area for group loyalty and identity. Monarchy can be beneficial in some instances, such as when decisions need to be made quickly without consulting with a large group of people. Monarchy sometime requires strong leadership in order to get things accomplished quickly and efficiently. In contrast to the early leaders, the late Qing emperors in the nineteenth century were weak in the sense that they lacked the abilities to effectively control the military, which led to the unstable government. In the summer of 1831, Empress Xiaoquancheng bore emperor Daoguang a son named Xianfeng. At age of 19 and was a relatively young, emperor Xianfeng received the throne, which made him the 9th Emperor of the Manchu led Qing dynasty, and the 7th Qing emperor to rule over China, from 1850 to 1861. Shortly after emperor Xianfeng was on the throne, the first of a series of popular rebellions began that would nearly destroy the Qing dynasty. The Taiping Rebellionbroke out in Southern China. The Manchu troops that the emperor Xianfeng sent to suppress the rebellion proved so ineffective that the rebels were able to move Northward and gained control of many cities included Nanjing in 1853, and almost got the imperial capital of Beijing in between 1854 5 (Teng, 9). The Rise and Fall of the Eugnics Movement Essay Introduction According to Merriam Webster.com, eugenics is defined as the theory dealing with the production or treatment of a fine, healthy race. Despite this seemingly innocent representation, eugenics is an extremely controversial science. Some even debate whether or not it is worthy of the label of science, or if it s just a form of intellectual racism. Nevertheless, eugenics was greatly embraced and was behind a scientific and social revolution during the late 19th century through the Second World War. This essay will explore the topic of eugenics which has disappeared from today s science textbooks. This includes a thorough history of the origin of eugenics, the people behind its movement, as well as its application in society. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Kevles, 6) Why Galton turned to eugenics is a mystery. He was a mathematician by degree with little to no experience in biology. He treated the study of eugenics as if it were a statistical problem, something completely foreign to the field of biology. (Kevles, 13) Galton believed that a wide range of human characteristics were inherited, including mental, physical, and moral traits. This view was stimulated in part by Galton s cousin, Charles Darwin, and his recent work in the field of evolution. Although Darwin didn t play a direct role in eugenics, he had shown how man, despite his relative complexity as compared to plants and most animals, was still evolving. Because of this, Galton reasoned that humans could be controlled and manipulated so that the next generation would be of higher stock. He reasoned that man had been focusing too much on the evolution of lower level species for too long. So long in fact, that human defectives [were] increasing at such an alarming rate that, unless some efficient methods [were] devised for keeping them in check, they [would] endanger the welfare of the entire race. (Fasten, 283) In the mind of Galton it was essential to fix this problem. He concurred that all creatures would agree that it was better to be healthy than sick, vigorous than weak, well fitted than ill fitted for their part in life; in short, that it was ... Most ADHD students become restless when they are asked to do a task involving the use of the executive functioning of the brain. • 19. Hanger Times Gravity Normal force is the force the surface exerts on an object and since the hanger was not on the ground the normal force is 0. The normal force is mgcosОё because if the surface was flat the normal force would be equal to the force of the object (mg), but since the wooden block was on an inclined plane I had to account for the angle. To find the coefficient of frictionI first found the tension in the string. I did this by using the top equation. Sine the Fn is 0 I was left with tension (Fy) minus the massof the hanger times gravity = mass times acceleration (Fy mg = ma). I knew that the hanger was moving at constant speed, so the acceleration was 0. Since the acceleration was zero I was left with tension minus the mass of the hanger times gravity(9.8) which means the tension equals the mass of the hanger times gravity ( Fy = 9.8 x .037 Tension = .363N). Fy 0 9.8(.037) = .037(0) I then substituted values into the second equation. Fx = .363 ( Tension) and 1.06124sin(29.5В°) = .523 . mg = 9.8 x .10829 = 1.06124 Fn = 1.0624cos(29.5) = .924 a = 0 ( moving at constant speed) .363 Ој(.924) + .523 = 0 Ој = .173 ... • 21. Christianity And Paganism In Beowulf And The Dream Of The... Christianity with a hint of Paganism In the 11th Century, cultures in Europe were experiencing cultural diffusion. The previously Pagan values were being replaced with the rapidly expanding Christian faith. Although this change was occurring, the literature still held on to Pagan values. Previously, literature was based on the prominent warrior culture. Cultural diffusion caused the writers to include more Christian values into their works while also referring elements of Pagan values and the Warrior s code. Two literary works in particular, Beowulf and the The Dream of the Rood are influenced by this culture shift. In Beowulf, the main character is a hero who slays beasts and rules his people, applying to both the Warrior s code of the Pagan culture and Christian values. In The Dream of the Rood, the narrator dreams of Christ s crucifixion which exemplifies the values of Christian culture by telling the story of the most important event in Christian beliefs, along with subtly including Pagan values to apply to the audience of their time. Among the many traits of Pagan and Christian values, heroism is most prominent. In The Dream of The Rood, an unknown narrator dreams of a beautiful Rood or cross. Briefly, how these three topics relate is that once God is dead, (meaning that we do not believe in him anymore), humanity will have to create new sets of values. These new sets of values will need to have our own meaning instead of looking to a metaphysical world for truth. Analysis of Prospero from The Tempest by Shakespeare Essay Prospero, the male lead of the Tempest, starts out as the victim of the play, but as the story goes on, it becomes apparent that he is actually the cause of all the problems and plots within the play. Prospero is important because he is the puppeteer that leads all of the characters to complete his orders. He strings all of the characters along to do his bidding, and by the end of the play, he is the only one who wins. Prospero is interesting because, without him, there would be no plot. He is the one who stirs up the Tempestand brings his usurpers to the island. Despite the original belief that Prospero is the victim of his brother s commandeering of his throne, it becomes obvious that Prospero does not have good intentions, and is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Prospero also punishes Trinculo and Stephano for no reason. Trinculo and Stephano have no reason to be on the island besides aiding and abetting Caliban in his plot to overthrow Prospero. Because Prospero originally made the different groups of people who stayed on the island, he must have wanted Trinculo and Stephano to meet Caliban, and in turn punish them for a crime that he made them commit, implying that Prospero wanted to use his magic to further harm more people. Prospero enslaves Caliban and Ariel, seizing the island for him and Miranda, just like Alonso and Antonio had done to him. The rightful ruler of the island is Caliban, and although Caliban at one time tried to rape Miranda, Prospero repeatedly punishes him for this one event that occurred much before this play takes place. Prospero initially helps Caliban by educating him and in exchange, Caliban taught Prospero and Miranda how to survive on the island. Prospero uses the act of attempted rape to justify his seizure of the island. This take over should have been enough punishment but Prospero enslaves Caliban, threatening to hurt him if he does not do his bidding. By endlessly punishing Caliban, Prospero inadvertently shows his malicious side. Although Prospero freed Ariel from the tree he was bound inside, Prospero blackmails Ariel and essentially enslaves him too. The Importance Of Natural Resources In today s fast pace society, we often do not pay much attention to the amount of natural resources we are consuming, and the limited supply of these resources that we will have in the future. The depletion of natural resources is the consumption of a resource faster than it can be replenished. All humanbeings depend on these natural resources for our basic needs. People often take for granted the abundance of natural resources we have as of now, and use them at an unsustainable rate, putting many of these resources on the verge of becoming depleted. It is reported that humans are using 30% more resources than the Earth can replenish each year, thus leading to deforestation, degraded soils and land, and polluted air and water.
