THE APP PERSONALIZED LEARNING
COACH PANEL GAME
An alternative, or complementary
learning method we offer are our
videos. Our videos are made to be
entertaining, engaging and dynamic.
Through the use of real-life
examples, we continually
demonstrate why learning the topics
we offer is so important and
applicable to daily life. The videos are
also a way of allowing students to
learn and flourish at their own pace.
CambiaelMundo is a free online
learning, gamified network. Our
mission is to bring free
personalised learning to the
classroom while also incorporating
the latest technologies. With a
friendly user-interface, engaging
content, user data collection and
gamification we can provide an
organic, progressive learning
experience to all students to be
accessed anywhere, at any time,
and from any device.
How do you prefer to learn? Do you prefer to read, listen, move step by step through
concepts, or watch someone explaining everything to you as a virtual teacher using real
life examples?
Our formulas hold key concepts
summarised to allow quick,
direct access and absorption of
information. Our Formulas are
powered by Prezi allowing a
guided journey through simple or
complex processes, step by step.
This results in a faster way of
mastering topics. While still
catering for all students to learn
at their own pace.
The fact of the matter is, you
should be learning your own way!
5. Students are easily able to follow their learning through the Personal Tracker. This
data is obtained through watching videos, viewing formulas and playing quizzes
(we’ll get to that shortly). The data is displayed in a highly intuitive way for
students to easily observe and track their own learning. By providing
diagnotsic data students receive instant feedback, meaning, all learning gaps can
be eliminated as they can be easily and quickly identified.

The most signficant parts of CambiaelMundo is the incorporation of gaming. In the not
so distant future we will have the first version of our game. We intend to use Adobe Edge
Animate to create a game for our quizzes which will be completely live and interactive.
Learners will be able to buy and change their game backgrounds using the currency
earned from playing the quizzes (to be implemented in the next 2 months). As this is a
work in progress, we’ll move on to our gamified quiz system.
Our Coach Panel is a work in progress. However, using this tool will enable
teachers and/or guardians to track individual learners with diagnostic data
displayed in a friendly layout. There will also be the option to group students and
follow their learning as a group. Coaches will be able to assign Recomendations
to learners they are tracking. Coaches will have the opportunity to assign goals,
with deadlines, to groups. All of this will appear on a communal dashboard where
the team working on specific assignments will be able to share files, ideas,
doubts etc. This Panel will be incorporated into the students and coaches
CambiaelMundo accounts.

7. Our quiz system is
designed to take
students through
easy quizzes,
normal quizzes and
then difficult
quizzes, in that
order. We believe
that gamification of
learning can truly
improve
engagement as
there is constantly
an incentive to
learn.
A highly important element to the quizzes is our ‘Why’s?’.
After a student has responded to a quiz they are shown various animations of their
neurons, sparks, runes and acheivements behaving acorrding to whether their answer
was correct or incorrect. Located directly below the quiz they have responded to, is the
answer and process to that specific quiz. We are currently upgrading this concept. Our
‘Why?’s will become very short videos (as displayed above) with step-by-step processes.
By providing multiple ways to learn, whether that be from the videos,
formulas or quizzes, we are able to connect with every kind of learner;
allowing them to learn their own way.

One of our primary goals is to engage students and get them excited about
learning. By planning and animating the content for the videos and using
consistant color psychology, we are able to create entertaining, clear, informative,
errorless educational videos. In addition, we truly believe that having the teacher
present in the video makes you feel like that person is talking directly to you, we
love to include the student in what is being taught! We strive to use examples to
explain concepts that evoke intuition and curiosity. Our major competitors very
rarely use examples in the same context.

mentioned, we believe
textual explanations are
highly important to be
easily accessible due to
how much information can
be stored in each Formula.

Khan Academy is an online learning platform offering practice exercises,
informative videos and a learning dashboard. They highly encourage students to
Master concepts. Teachers and guardians have the ability to track the data
generated by the user, linking the accounts. They offer simple gamification tools
such as avatars and badges to engage students.

Our major competitor offers a limited number of hints throughout their quizzes.
Instead of offering hints, CambiaelMundo gives students the ability to easily
access all content from the actual quiz page. Additionally, once a CambiaelMundo
users has completed a quiz, they are shown a video explanation of the quiz that
they have just completed. This video explains the concept step by step.
We believe that by putting a lot of importance on gamifying learning , we can truly
change students attitude towards education. For this reason, CambiaelMundo
offers more incentives for acheivements than the rest of our competitors.
We have recently implemented a currency system, complemantary to our current
neuron system, while simultaneously and submliminally introducing the concept of
the economy to students. This currency will allow students to purchase elements to
personalize their learning environment even more so.

CONCERNING THE PARTICIPANTS
We intend to use StartUp Chile as the
opporunity we have been waiting for, which is to set
up our headquarters. We believe setting ourselves
up in the technological hub of Latin America can
help us grow rapidly and achieve our goal of
providing free, high-quality education to anyone,
anywhere. The way in which Chile is
progressing and advancing in technology and
education is key for CambiaelMundo to succeed.
We are looking forward to hiring local talent and
multicultralizing CambiaelMundo, as
multicultralism is an important part of education.
Late last year we went through the process of being selected to present
CambiaelMundo at Collision Conference - Web Summit in New Orleans, USA in April
2016. We willingly declined the invitation to participate in this entrentrepreneurial
and innovative event, as we had decided to apply for StartUp Chile. We are truly
ready to dedicate ourselves to bringing CambiaelMundo to Chile, Latin
America and eventually the rest of the world.
In October 2015 we were asked to speak
about CambiaelMundo and online learning
by Andreina Baroni who has a radio show
called La Tómbola Cultural, on a
channel called, Radio Sintonía, which is
broadcast in Venezuela and throughout
South America. During the show we spoke
about the benefits that online learning
brings and we had the chance to introduce
CambiaelMundo live on air. It was a great
experience, we sure are ready for the next
one!

CONCERNING THE PROJECT
We plan to implement an internal advertising system as one definite way of
generating revenue. Pictured above are two examples of the advertising cards we
are going to offer. These advertisements obviously pass through a heavy filter
before being approved. We intend to offer multiple different plans for individuals,
companies etc. to advertise using either an image or a video. These clients will also
eventually have direct access to their own adveritising panel and data analysis and
will be able to view all of the data collected by the users who have viewed or clicked
on their advertisement.
CambiaelMundo is a non-profit organization and therefore we are able to accept
donations and organize fundraisers in order to generate revenue. We believe
making CambiaelMundo a non-profit organization allows us to make the best
decisions to fulfill our mission. We also understand that revenue generation is
essential, but we completely reject the concept of charging students for their
education as this is a right all humans should have.
As we have mentioned, we also plan to implement a Coach Panel, accessible to teachers as a
complete resource of information and data collection of their students. This could be a paid
service.
We believe there is a huge market
opportunity in Latin America. As this contient
continues progressing and connecting with
the rest of the world, opportunities for
applications, especially like CambiaelMundo,
arise in every country, as education is the core
of all economic, cultural and social
problems.
Chile is the best place for CambiaelMundo to
launch as EducarChile, a government
initiative, is already a presence within the
country, meaning that students, teachers and
schools are open to the idea of improving and
changing education.
