Paid Essay Writing
Writing an essay on the topic of "Paid Essay Writing" can prove to be a challenging endeavor, as
it involves navigating through a myriad of perspectives and ethical considerations. The
complexity arises from the dual nature of the subject, where one must address both the academic
discourse surrounding essay composition and the contentious issue of paying for such services.
Firstly, delving into the academic realm requires a deep understanding of essay writing
principles, citation styles, and the overall structure of a well-crafted essay. This demands
meticulous research and an adept ability to articulate thoughts coherently, ensuring that the essay
adheres to the established norms of scholarly writing. Additionally, addressing counterarguments
and incorporating relevant evidence to support one's stance adds another layer of complexity.
On the flip side, discussing the paid aspect introduces a moral and ethical dimension. One needs
to explore the motivations behind seeking paid essay writing services, whether it's due to time
constraints, a lack of proficiency in the subject matter, or other factors. Evaluating the ethical
implications involves considering issues such as academic integrity, the potential for plagiarism,
and the impact on personal growth and learning.
Furthermore, the writer must approach the topic with sensitivity, acknowledging the diverse
reasons individuals may opt for paid essay writing while remaining objective in their analysis.
Striking the right balance between empathy for the challenges students face and maintaining
academic integrity poses an additional challenge.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on the subject of "Paid Essay Writing" necessitates a delicate
balance between academic rigor and ethical considerations. Navigating through the intricacies of
both realms demands careful research, critical thinking, and a nuanced understanding of the
ethical landscape. Writing on this topic requires the ability to present a well-structured argument
that respects differing viewpoints while upholding the standards of academic excellence.

Case Study On Print Advertising
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this analytical research portfolio is to discuss and examine about
contemporary print advertising, in terms of its theoretical approaches such as textual
structures, branding, reliance on celebrity endorsements and the pleasures that it
offers to consumers (refer to Slide 3). In this essay however, I will elaborate
specifically on a particular print advertisement from the company Sisley , which is
commonly advertised in women s fashion magazines and on how Semiotics and Signs
is prevalent with regards to its advertising (Samuel Shane 2017).
CASE STUDY ON SISLEY S PRINT ADVERTISEMENT
Established in Paris 1968, the French apparel brand Sisley began with their
revolutionary Denim collection. Then in 1974 the ... Show more content on

The advertisement drew ire as it featured women snorting thin, white clothing off a
surface, with the caption Fashioin Junkie just below its Sisley brand in the middle
of the ad (refer to Slide 8 and Annexes). The play on the words Fashioin Junkie
suggests the combination of Fashion and Heroin in one word, together with the
reinforcement of the word Junkie , to imply that the models are the image of the
combined slogan. The ad hit the fashion industry especially hard, as models have
always been associated with cocaine use, due to its appetite suppressing qualities.
And as the two thin models in the advert suggest, it further implies the desired
figure to attain regardless of the costs involved. Although the advertisement appears
at first glance to be somewhat glamorous and glossy, this fuels the suggestion of
glamorising drug use as a posh, desirable, high society trait. The attractive eye
makeup too, enhances the look of the effect in drug use, as it implies the after
effects of regular substance abuse and further reinforces the heroin link. The
negative impact of the entire print advertisement, represented the link between the
Sisley fashion label, together with model thin figures and heroin drug abuse, in
order to attain a desirable image set by the brand and society, amongst the young,
urban and professional audience. Fashioin Junkie may have initially been intended
as a shock and awe campaign, as is common with most Benetton Group ads, but has
since backfired tremendously on the brand and as well as the fashion industry as a
consequence, for its severe lack of tact, taste and ethical values (refer to Slide

In 1973 Alice Walker wrote a short story called Everyday Use. This story is told in
first person by mama and in set in the Deep South. Now, Alice Walker is a very
well known name when it comes to writing and acting. She began her life in
Eatonton, Georgian and was the youngest of eight children. Her family made their
living by sharecropping and she says that, It was great fun being cute. But then,
one day, it ended. She had an accident with a BB gun and it almost blinded her at
the age of eight. Her family could not afford for her to have surgery and for six
years she walked with her head down, not being able to lift it. Walker s confidence
was shattered and did not return until after the surgery in which they removed the
scar tissue from... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just like how the churn and the dasher were passed down. Quilts that you make are
something that can last forever, even when you do not. One of the ways that Alice
Walker really makes the characters believable and interesting is how she creates a
true black women of the South. People who have not experience the south or even
being around African American women do not know how they act or talk or even
if they have different behaviors than us. That sounds ridiculous to some people
who have been to the south and lived there growing up, but everything there
probably think that we all still ride horses to work and school just as we think that
they all go to church every day and eats grits for breakfast. Some of that may be
true, but if have not been to the South how would you know? Alice Walker makes it
seem as if you have experienced the south and the women living there by how she
takes about them in her short story. One of the things that really stands out is how
everyone is very concerned about heritage. Dee even views her heritage as an artifact
that she can posses and appreciate from a distance. She thinks about everything in a
different way than everyone else in this story. She sees how everything can be
framed. When she wants the quilt framed her mother even comments to her, that was
the only thing you could do with quilts. Everything in the south seems to be a little
different, whether that is
Analysis Of Jacque-Louis David Oath Of The Horatii
Jacques Louis David, The Oath Of The Horatii
Jacque Louis David s The Oath of the Horatii is an oil on canvas painting that was
commissioned by the Administrator of Royal Residences, Louis XVI. It was
painted in Rome and exhibited at the Salon of 1785 (BC, 1998). That year, the
people who visited Paris Salon were captivated by this one painting. The painting
depicts three men who are brothers, saluting toward three swords that are held up by
their father. The women behind them are grieving. A painting like it had never been
seen by anyone (KHANacademy, 2015). Subjects similar to it had been seen in the
Salons before, but the physicality and intense emotion that is depicted by the painting
was entirely new and quite undeniable. This revolutionary ... Show more content on

The three archways were loosely corresponding to the three groups. The
atmosphere softened by the shades of green, brown, pink and red which are all very
inconspicuous. Instead of opening up the painting out onto a landscape or an
expanse of sky, it is closed off to the outside. It is bathed in a shadow. The result is
that the light in this scenery has a brick toned reflection, one which encircles the
figures with a mysterious halo.
The laborious and well organized arrangement that David put into this work of art,
the superior agreement of the colors as well as the spiritual density of figures. The
sacrifice, updated by the oath became the establishing act of a new artistic and moral
order. The art is successful in revealing the type of rivalry that existed among the
Romans and their neighbors and how combat was used as a solution to the
Sia Furler Biography
Sia Furler, more commonly known by her stage name Sia, has been around since
the late 90s. Furler s discography spans from her first solo studio album OnlySee,
released in December of 1997, to her most recent This Is Acting, released in
January of this year. Except for the last two albums she has released, Furler s
albums have received mediocre success in sales. Although when it comes to her
music, critics rarely have negative things to say. All of Furler s fans can agree her
albums showcase her talents as a vocalist, songwriter, and as a musician. Her album
Some People Have Real Problemsshowcases these talents in a way that makes her
fans argue this is probably her best album out of all seven. Some People Have Real
Problems, released in 2008, is Furler s 5th studio album. This album contains songs
that cannot be placed into boxes, from the opening track Little Black Sandals, which
gives off an old time folk song vibe, to Buttons, the closer, which is alternative pop.

Her ability to emote in a song is probably one of her best talents. Her voice is sensual
as she sings on Day Too Soon : Oh, I ve been running all my life/ I ran away, I ran
away from good/ Yeah, I ve been waiting all my life/ You re not a day, you re not a
day too soon, (lines 7 10) to a lover that she has been waiting for, who has finally
come. In most of the songs on Some People, Furler s use of her vocals comes in a
variety from whisper singing to belts in her higher register. The bridges of her songs
seem to take the responsibility of being the more important sections. She combines
using words with short syllables and ad libs to create amazing harmonies and
melodies that make the song stronger. She also utilizes vocal cracks, which are
undesired and are usually looked down on when singing, to
The Human Skeletal Structure Of Ligaments
The Human Skeletal System The human skeletal anatomy is a mesmerising and
complex structure of ligaments that attach all 206 bones together, along with tendons
that attach muscles to the bones and also cartilage. All of the components are
involved with the fundamental functions that are essential to how the human body
works and reacts. The skeleton assists in protecting the body s organs, provides
attachment sites for the musculature system that allows locomotion, also other
upholding the physical shape of the body, and protects vital organs such as the brain,
spinal cord, and heart. Defined as being in two parts, the axial and appendicular

Long Bones
The femur, ulna and radius, tibia and fibula, humerus and phalanges (bones of the
fingers) are all long bones. The periosteum is the outer layer of the long bone that
consists of three main parts:
Epiphysis: consists of compact (cortical) bone on the outer layer and cancellous
(spongy) bone located within the lower and upper areas of the inner layer.
Diaphysis: Is the shaft and middle part of the bone that is made up of tougher also
denser cortical bone.
Both diaphysis and epiphysis are separated by epiphysis cartilages that solidify when
the growth of a human is totally completed.
Overall all the long bones make up the majority of a person s weight, especially the
femur. The femur is the longest bone within the human body and bares most of a
person s weight and also helps to maintain balance of the skeleton.
Short Bones
Short bones are all practically equal in length and width of each other that all consist
of the same structure with the outer layer being cortical bone along with the inner
layer of cancellous bone that contains red bone marrow. The bones that are identified
as short bone are as follows:
Carpals: Carpals make the wrist.
Tarsal: Make up the ankle.
Flat Bones
Flat bones consist of a layer of trabecular (spongy/cancellous) bone between two
thin layers of compact bone. The flat bones are of a flattened shape, not rounded.
Examples of flat bones are as follows, the skull and ribs. Flat bones do contain
marrow, but are not a bone marrow
What Is The Weaknesses Of Apollo
Section C: SWOT Analysis
Weaknesses
(i) Lack of presence in two and three wheeler tire segments
Absence in the two and three wheeler tire segments is one of the weaknesses of
Apollo as it will affect the company competitiveness. (Market line, 2015)
Unfortunately, rivals of the company which included CEAT and MRF are
providing tires for customers in two wheeler product segment. (Market line, 2015)
An intense development recently has been observed in the Indian two wheeler
market. (Market line, 2015) Based on industry forecast, in the year of 2016 and
2017, around 22 23 million units of two wheelers will be sold. (Market line, 2015)
Therefore, Apollo should combat this weakness by treating this as an opportunity for

Example Of A Discourse Community
Since the dawn of time that humans have reigned around the world, they have
formed groups or communities that share common goals or interest. John Swales
(1990), a respectable professor of linguistics at the University of Michigan,
developed a list of characteristics to determine communities or, as he calls it, a
discourse community. He identifies these characteristics as all the discourse
communities has agreed upon common goals, mechanisms of intercommunication
among its members, provide information and feedback, possess one or more genres
of communication, distinguish vocabulary or lexis, and requirement for
memberships (Swales, 1990, p. 1 5). The International Game Developers
Association (IGDA), falls into the category as a discourse community. Founded in
1994, IGDA is a non profit professional association that collaborates with projects
that encompasses members from all fields of game development. They bring
together developers to improve their lives and prepare the next generation of
developers. The IGDA is a professional discourse community that defines all of
Swales characteristic to be considered as a discourse community. Swales (1990)
Concept of Discourse Community commences with his point that a discourse
community has a set of common goals. The International Game Developers
Association s mission is to advance the careers and enhance the lives of game
developers by connecting members with their peers, promoting professional
development, and advocating on
Italian And Northern Renaissance Similarities
The Northern Renaissance was famous for its advanced oil painting techniques,
realistic, expressive altarpiece art, making portraits on wooden panel paintings, as
well as woodcuts and other forms of printmaking. Stone sculpture was not popular,
but wood carving was a German specialty. Prior to the 1500s, Renaissanceart in Italy
had almost no effect on development of painting and sculpture in Northern Europe.
Even after the 1500s, the High Renaissance blossomed. Issues like religion, politics,
climate and differing artistic traditions, tended to minimize the uptake of cultural
ideas from Florence and Rome.
The Italian Renaissance re established Western art, especially Greek sculpture and
painting, which provided much of the basis for the Grand ... Show more content on

Many think that his wife is pregnant, but she is not. She is just holding up her full

from Lucca living in Bruges. The couple are shown in a nice environment that
looks pretty expensive and seem to be wearing nice clothes, which makes them
appear to be wealthy. The work is known to be one of the most impressive
paintings during the Northern Renaissance because of how detailed it is. Some of
the details noticed by many are the little hairs sticking out of the dog, the type of
cloth on their clothing, and the material of the clogs in the bottom left hand corner.
There are a lot of questions surrounding the Arnolfini Portrait because Jan van Eyck
wrote on the portrait himself that it was made in 1434, but if the portrait was
supposed to be of him and his wife, that didn t make sense. Many believed that this
painting may have symbolized that he had moved on and had a new woman in his
life to love because his wife had died in
Comparison Of Patrick Carnes And Sexual Addiction
Addictions are no strangers to our society. We see or hear of drug and alcohol
addictions daily. Yet the term addiction although often used, it is very loosely
defined. Most psychologists are aware that the term addiction is not even found in
the Diagnostics and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). Patrick Carnes a
sexual addictionexpert argues yes, sexual addictionis possible, whereas, Lawrence
and Richard Siegel claim nonexistence of sexual addiction just sexual dysfunctions
(Slife, 2013). Some psychologist like Carnes strongly believe in sexual addictions
and sexual dysfunctions, Carnes believed that sexual addictions come from distress
and chemical reaction in the brain. He formulated a twelve step program for sex

Among the ten distinct types of behaviors, he states that people tend to cluster
under some of these types such as fantasy sex, seductive role sex, exhibitionistic
sex among other types. He also found that cybersex which is a new addition has
been rapidly growing (Carnes, 2010). It is easier for sex addicts to get a hold of a
computer to search up pornography or try and find sexual services. Dr. Thaddeus
Birchard (2006), a psychologist from London who practices sexual and relationship
issues has serviced many patients who switched from one source of sex addiction to
another, cybersex. He has treated many patients that are highly addicted to cybersex,
he reported that some of his patients spend weekends locked up at home online
watching pornography, a pretty similar scenario to video game addicts. Over the
years, he has noticed that his practice is growing and more people seek help with
their sexual dysfunctions. In recent years, he has noticed that people are becoming
more open about their sexuality which really helps to get a better understanding of the

passengers and other services. Since the pilot cannot estimate the distances from
other aircraft or obstructions, there has to be a crew to assist the pilot when parking

Use Of Pictographs Can Improve Cross Cultural
Communication
Pictographs
Moreover, the use of pictographs can improve cross cultural communication.
Pictograms is a visual language aim to establish the most important type of
communication using visual language to transcending language barriers. For
instance, it was stated, Languages allow us to communicate with each other in a
relatively effortless way because they rely on many types of conventions (e.g.,
morphological, syntactic, semantic, phonetic) (Nakamura Zeng Treitler, 2012, p.
535). It is a language that enables the essential meaning to be understood visually at a
glance, irrespective of differences of cultural or language.
In additional, pictograms is use in the Medical Health industry to improve the
communication with people who speak different languages. To emphasize, it was
stated, As a universal language to communicate with people speaking different
languages, pictographs can be an efficient tool to improve healthcare education for
this underserved population (Choi, 2011). Pictograph is a powerful tool to use for
cross cultural communication.
Furthermore, the ability to have and create pictograph will enhance cross cultural
communication. For instance, as it was stated, There is a good chance that
pictographs created using a combination of representation strategies may yield higher
recognition rates. (Choi, 2011) The combination of pictographs and communication
will improve the language barriers in cross cultural communication.

Essay On Gerald Finzi
Gerald Finzi is a well known British Jewish Composer during the World War eras.
Finzi was born on July 1901, and died September 27, 1956. While best know for his
choral and voice compositions, Finzi also wrote instrumental music for the clarinet,
cello, piano, and other instruments. His Father John Abraham (Jack) Finzi, a
successful shipbroker, died just before his son s eighth birthday. And during the first
World War, his family moved to Harrogate, England, where he began studying music
at Christ Church, High Harrogate, under Ernest Farrar.
Farrar was a pupil of Stanford, and described Finzi as Shy, but full of poetry . Farrar
went on to fight during WWI at the Western Front where he later died in battle.

Finzi s compositions include nine song cycles, choral anthems, and numerous
instrumental music from clarinet and cello concertos to piano concertos. Finzi had
great admiration for composer Johann Sebastian Bach, as well as the Swiss American
composer Ernest Bloch, and his compositions reflect that.
After Finzi passed, he left a legacy that his sons continued. His eldest, Christopher

Comparing Two Creation Stories In The Book Of Genesis
Some people believe that there are two creation stories in the book of Genesis. In
this paper, I will compare and contrast the events in the first two chapters of
Genesis and determine if the two creation stories theory is probable. Towards the
end of this paper, I will give my own opinion on the two creation stories theory based
off of the scriptures that I read. In the beginning of Genesis chapter one, God creates
the heaven and the earthin seven days. The second verse of Genesis chapter one tells
the readers that the Earth had no form so God, an omnipresent spirit, has to bring to
order to the newly created galaxy. According to the protestant bible, God is a powerful
spirit that can speak things into existence. For example, God simply says, let there
be light in the third verse of Genesis and this scripture shows the power of God.
After the first day of creation, God focuses on dividing the waters and creating a
firmament. The Bible tells the readers that the firmament later becomes known as
heaven.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before I actually took the time to reread the creation story, I thought the idea of
two creation stories was very silly. However, after I read the two chapters in
Genesis, I came to the conclusion that there are two creation stories in the book of
Genesis. The truth is that the differences outweigh the similarities between the two
stories and it is hard to deny the facts when it is in the scripture. Nevertheless, I
believe that both of these stories are still essential to the Christian and Jewish faith.
My favorite creation story is the one that is told in the first chapter of Genesis
because it not sexist. Although it may sound farfetched, the second creation story
focuses on a man and the woman is basically in the Garden to serve the man.
Additionally, the second story of creation does not explain why Adam is the first
human, which leads me to believe that a misogynistic male wrote this

Up to now, several strategies have been undertaken to modify alkaline titanate such as
noble metal deposition, heterojunction formation and incorporation of metal ions into
titanate. Recently, Wang et al. reported the synthesis of Na K2Ti6O13/g C3N4
composite material and tested their photocatalytic activity for the degradation of
methyl orange under both simulated sunlight and visible light irradiation. Until now,
no one has reported the surface modification of alkaline titanate using transition
metals grafting with enhanced photocatalytic under visible light source. The surface
modification has done so far with noble metals, which are highly expensive and limits
the possibility for practical applications. The surface modification with ubiquitous
metals has gained much attention as they avoid the high cost noble metals. The
grafting with transition metal nanocluster promotes the multi electron reduction
reaction of oxygen molecule and ultimately enhances the photocatalytic activity. In

Symptoms And Treatment Of Delirium
Delirium is an acute change in brain function that can be accompanied by inattention
and either a change in cognition or perceptual disturbances (Allen and Alexander,
2012). Delirium in critical care patients is very common, it actually occurs in 2 out of
3 intensive care patients who are on a ventilator, but often goes undetected because
deliriummonitoring is considered too time consuming or unreliable (Reade and
Finfer, 2014). Intensive care unit (ICU) patients that have delirium spend more days
on a ventilator, remain on sedation longer, have increased chance for infections, have
longer hospitalstays, and higher mortality rates during their hospital admission and in
the 6 months after.
According to Eastwood, Peck, Bellomo, Baldwin, and Reade (2012), most of these
patients are also left with permanent cognitive problems that they struggle with for
years. Not only does delirium cause more issues with the patients, it can cost the
hospital more money due to increased length of stay, hospital acquired infections such
as pneumonia, and re admissions. Studies have shown that using the confusion
assessment method (CAM) every shift, and performing the assessment correctly, can
help detect delirium in ICU patients earlier. When delirium is caught early the
healthcare team can initiate interventions to decrease the severity of delirium and
work towards better outcomes for the patient.
Identified Current Practice Issue
ICU patients are not being assessed for delirium every
William Safire s Onomatopoeia
In this essay I will be talking bout my three favorite stories from this semester. The
first story is called Onomatopoeia by William Safire, this story is about how we
use these different words in our life. The second story is called Coyote v. Acme by
Ian Frazier, this story is almost describing how we are in today s society we sue
people over stupid and there is no point in doing that. An the last story is One Day,
Now Broken In Two by Anna Quindlen, this last story is about what happened 16
years ago on September 11, 2001. It was probably one of the most tragic days in
history. The first story is called Onomatopoeia by William Safire, this story is
about how we use these different words in our life. In Onomatopoeia William
Safire explains how we use these different words in describing emotions and
everything. As I quote, The word onomatopoeia was used above, and it had better
be spelled right or one usage dictator and six copy editors will get zapped. As in this
quote Mr William has used the word zapped, he used it to explain what will happen

Acme by Ian Frazier, this story is almost describing how we are in today s society
we sue people over stupid stuff and there is no point in doing that. We do it
because maybe they did something to your car or something else like that. As I
quote, Such injuries sustained by Mr. Coyote have temporarily restricted his ability
to make a living in his profession of predator. What this quote means is like that Mr.
Coyote man is suing them because there products don t work. Which is reasonable
because it s not very stupid if they almost killed you or something close to
Taking a Look at Marian Anderson
Successful classical soprano performer Leontyne Price was one of the first artists to
benefit from Marian Anderson s hard work and dedication. The day after Marian
Anderson s death, April 8th, 1993 Price discussed the ways in which Anderson was
able to overcome obstacles while remaining consistently professional and keeping the
high standards she set on her performances. Marian Andersonwas born on February
27, 1897. She was considered one of the most celebrated African American artists
of the twentieth century. Anderson identified herself as a contralto, which is the
lowest frequency female voice with in a choir. Although Anderson is classified as
a classical vocalist her repertoire included many genres such as opera, traditional
American songs, concert literature and spirituals. Her live performances spanned
the years of 1925 to 1965. The majority of her performances were recitals or
concerts, some of which took place within major venues. Through Anderson s
successful career she paved a path for many other African American vocal artists to
follow. This paper explores the ways in which Marian Anderson s career, from her
early beginnings, struggle for recognition, and worldwide acclaim shaped her identity
as a representation for African American vocalists after her to follow. Marian
Anderson was born in PhiladelphiaPennsylvania and spent the majority of her
childhood years in Philadelphia. Her parents were John Berkley Anderson, an

The Effects Of Bullying On Academic Achievement
Main findings
Before stating the mains findings of the study it is important to mention that the
researchers hypotheses were, that the victims of bullying in 10th grade will have
lower achievement in 12th grade regardless of their race/ethnic background and that
high achieving black and Latino students, as indicated by 9th grade GPA, will be
more vulnerable to bullying. In contrast they expect that low achieving Asian
students, as indicated by 9th grade GPA, will be especially susceptible to bullying.
Their main focus was to examine how bullying affects academic achievement. After
conducting their research, the researchers came to the conclusion that although
family background and school characteristics notably affects students performance,
bullying also have significant influence in students educational achievement. As
stated in the research article their studying found that bullying decreases 12th grade
GPA after considering key student and school characteristics associate with
achievement. Moreover, they concluded that the impact of bullying has an abiding
effect on students academic achievement even after the bullying incident. The second
finding of the study gave partial support for their second hypothesis which suggested
that Asian, Black, and Latinos students were going to be more likely to experience
bullying when they did not meet their stereotype. According to research Asian
students are perceived to be high achievers, thus the researchers theory suggested
Health Insurance Plan For Medicaid Care
Introduction Medicaid focused managed care has become progressively imperative to
state Medicaid organizations. With healthcare reform and the enactment of the
Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (ACA) in 2010, Medicaid will possibly be
the main insurer for increasing coverage to millions of low income, uninsured
Americans. Medicaid, a government funded health insuranceplan overseen by the
state, has supplied coverage for people with disabilities, children, pregnant women,
seniors, and the indigent. Managed careplans have aimed to contract with healthcare
providers and provide coverage at reduced costs (Smith Coustasse, 2014). The
ACA has helped people become eligible for Medicaid who otherwise would not be
able to afford health insurance. There will be more equality between genders,
before ACA, the majority of beneficiaries were female. Even though ACA has
helped more people become eligible for Medicaid, there are also challenges that have
risen due to this as well. The focus of this paper is on the challenges regarding
Medicaid managed care and how they can be resolved. The first area discussed will
be the history behind Medicaid. Then move on to the challenges of the Medicaid
Managed Care Program and how they can be resolved as well as the possible
solutions.
Background of Medicaid Managed Care Medicaid was signed into law by President
Lyndon B. Johnson on July 30, 1965 (History, 2015). Medicaid covers people who
are low income, pregnant, disabled, and
Hydrated Basil Research Paper
In this paper, application of hydrated basil as an herbal fiber in hole cleaning and
filtration control was investigated. Though use of common monofilament fibers is
not feasible due to their specific gravity and limitations in high concentration, it
was shown that hydrated basil is applicable in both hole cleaning and filtration
control. Because of low specific gravity of basil seeds and their ability to get
hydrated, they can suspend in a low viscosity base fluid. Since hydrated basil seeds
gradually settle in pure water, another herbal additive, named clammy plantain, was
utilized as an additive in order to change the rheological behavior of the base fluid.
These seeds add gelatinous feature to the base fluid and change its behavior to
How Technology Has Changed Today
Technology has changed drastically from the 1970s to now. We have exceeded what
most people back then could ever imagine. The technology used in schools, homes,
and in public places has evolved into technology that makes the cutting edge
technology of the 70s look very simple. Things such as the personal computer, the
cell phone, electronic games, TVs, and even watches have changed completely. The
ways that they have exceeded expectations is truly unbelievable.
Home technology has taken a gigantic step since the 1970s as not only has the
performance improved, but more families have begun to feel a necessity to have
these appliances. In 1977 the Apple 2 Computer was released to the public. What
was then considered an ordinary computer for ordinary people is now seen only in
museums and dumps. The personal computer was one of the first personal
computer with no additional parts required to buy, such as cases for the computer
or a way to supply it power. The Apple 2 was also had great graphics for its time
and was very easy to use for normal people. We now have computers in our phones,
but in the 1970s the Apple 2 was one of the only computer that you could effectively
use at work, school, or at home (computerhistory.org). However, all of that is nothing
compared to the computers we currently use. Now most families have a laptop
computer that is portable and has a long battery life without having to remain plugged
into a power outlet. The computers have gotten
Automobile Dbq Research Paper
The automobile had an astounding affect on both the economy and culture of
America. It allowed for the average American to have more freedoms and
opportunity, blurring the lines between rural and city life. However, the automobile
was not without its drawbacks. Many people were killed as a result of reckless or
inexperienced drivers. The automobilealso did an exceptional job of draining the
savings accounts of Americans. One thing can be certain: For better or for worse, the
automobile changed the face of America forever.
The Automobile had profound economic impact. Americans could now commute to
work from outside the cities, allowing for a greater number of Americans to work

Emergency services provided by firemen, policemen, and physicians flourished with
the help of the automobile (Document 6).
The automobile revolutionized the culture of America. Suddenly, people were free to
travel where they wished, with no restrictions (Document
2). Women became more independent, leaving the house and attending social calls
and the theater (Document 7). The automobile is making leisure time enjoyment a
regularly expected part of every day and week rather than an occasional event.
(Document 11) Along with other early
21st century innovations, the automobile greatly changed the way
Americans lived their lives. However, not all cultural changes regarding the
automobile were positive. The automobile lured many families into an investment
they could not afford to upkeep. Between gasoline, repairs and upgrades, the costs
quickly add up (Document 3).
There were no shortage of safety issues with the automobile. Unlike the wealth of
airbags and other safety features included in modern cars, the automobiles of the early
1900s had almost none. This
The Lord Of The Rings Essay
Conclusion: I would like to conclude by saying that this novel The Lord of the
Rings has inspired many spin off works, including several games as well. The
enormous popularity of Tolkien s epic saga has greatly expanded the demand for
fantay novels, largely thanks to the Lord of the Rings. It is an an extraordinary
work, grandly conceived, brilliantly executed and wildly entertaining novel of
Tolkien .In the whole novel we see that it s a hobbit s dream, a wizard s delight.
And, of course, it s only the beginning. The language used in this novel is very
simple and easy to understand by people. In short this novel has won the hearts of
many .This novel is a must read. I see this novel as a near perfect: It s one of the
best fantasy novel ever written. The story just revolves around the Ring which is
created by a Dark lord, Sauron. It has brought the supernaturalism in such a way that
we could clearly make out where is the supernaturalism used.

Strategic Analysis of Apple Computers
BUSINESS APPLE COMPUTERS STRATEGIC ANALYSIS 2005
Strengths and Opportunities In 2005, Apple Computers experienced significant sales
increases attributable to the earlier rollout of the iPod (Robbins Judge, 2009). The
positive publicity and brand perception associated with that project also spilled over
to its entire line of Macintosh computers, further bolstering sales revenue and
corporate profits that year. The sales volume of virtually all Apple products increased
after the introduction of the iPod, hitting $320 million in June of 2005 (Robbins
Judge, 2009). In general, every successful Apple product has benefited brand
recognition and perception and invigorated the sales of other product lines, even
those not directly related to it. By the end of 2005, Apple had sold approximately 22
million iPod units and more than half a billion individual song downloads through its
music store, iTunes (George Jones, 2008).
Weaknesses
Generally, there is also a potential downside to the cross promotional effect of
products: namely, to the extent consumers draw conclusions about all company
products from its failures. In 2005, Apple suffered from this principle twice, after
many iPods were released with batteries that performed poorly and iPod Nanos were
released with screens that malfunctioned ((Akin, Dunford, Palmer, 2006). In addition
to replacing the defective units, the company also provided various free accessories,
such as battery cases. Apple was also pressed by

Brief Summary
Case Name: Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Petitioner v. Abercrombie
Fitch Stores, Inc., No. 14 86 (2015)
Factual History: Ms. Samantha Elauf is a woman who is a practicing Muslim
applied for a job at Abercrombie Fitch Co., which is a national chain of clothing
stores. Elauf was interviewed by the store s assistant manager Heather Cooke, and
her interview so went well that it appeared to Elauf that she was going to get the
job. Heather Cooke, the store manager who interviewed Samantha liked her and
recommended that she be hired. Cooke gave Elauf a rating, which qualified her to
be hired, however, she was concerned that her headscarf would conflict with
Abercrombie s employee dress policy. The headscarf that she wore according to
her religious obligations conflicted with the store s look policy . Cooke turned to
Randall Johnson, the district manager, and informed Johnson that she believed
Elauf wore her headscarf because of her faith. She wanted to determine whether or
not the headscarf was in violation of this policy. Randall Johnson informed Cooke
that Elauf s wearing headscarf would violate the look policy , and therefore that
Elauf should not be hired. As a result, Elauf didn t get hired by Abercrombie Fitch Co.
Procedural History: The EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) sued
Abercrombie on the behalf of Elauf, claiming that Abercrombie s

The Emperor s New Clothes
Hans Christian Anderson displays insight into the vanity of man in the popular
children s story, The Emperor s New Clothes . Although born into the world as
unique individuals, humans grow up seeking approval, acceptance, and validation in
the societal norms in which they live. Rather than embracing their individuality,
most live out their lives trying to fit into a mold that their culture deems as
successful. Most cultures view accomplishments, wealth, and positions of influence
as measures of success; thus, an individual s value is calculated by what he has
externally and not by who he is internally. Therefore, many people fail to develop
their gifts, talents, and personalities to live a fulfilling life for themselves, and they
succumb to societal pressure to strive for the materialistic, external trappings of
success. This presents a struggle between self and society. In The Emperor s New
Clothes , Anderson uses clothingto symbolize this struggle wearing society s
accepted standards as clothes to mask our naked vulnerability to rejection.
Anderson s story centers on an emperor whose validation comes from his
wardrobe. This fondness for beautiful clothes leaves him vulnerable to a couple of
swindlers who come to his town; these con artists claimed to be weavers of an
extraordinary cloth that is invisible to anyone who was unfit for his office or
unforgiveable stupid (The Emperor s New Clothes, para 2). The unique properties of
the cloth intrigue the
The Gap Between Whites And Blacks
while the gap between whites and collective blacks does not shrink. The authors
argue that in group versus out group hostilities will lessen between the whites and
honorary whites, however this will only increase their in group size compared to
the out group of the collective blacks and only create new tensions while
strengthening old ones between these two groups. This will be because the
collective blacks will feel more segregated from their lighter skinned counterparts.
This type of grouping will only allot the whites more power as honorary whites
participation within social society will rely solely on their whitesuperiors for their
approval. Maxine Leeds Craig argued in The Colors of an Ideal Negro Beauty Queen,

Ludwig also writes that white is monochromatic, which relates to racial intermixing
and the idea of white purity or eugenics because once a wholly white European has
sex with someone who is not, then their child s dominant white genes are saturated
with others gene types, thus believed to taint their purity and dub them less white
and less valuable. This is the same with other skin colors that may purposely mate
with someone who possesses milky, white skin in order to perpetuate this idealized
characteristic in their child, because the own dismay for their own skin color,
precedent by the colorism fluxes in society, is influential because parents do not
want their child to go through the social maltreatment they endured. Another reason
for the overemphasis on the importance of whiteness may be its relationship to
light, as white is strictly opaque, lacking dimensions unlike its colorful counterparts
whose dimensions compare to their prejudicial past and present in which they suffer
from discrimination and bigotry by its white Supremes. This differs from black
because other in between colors like red, green, and blue all make variations of
black when combined at different levels, which is representative of the forgotten
races of Asians, Native Americans, Latinos, etc. When this occurs, even if the
resulting color is a lighter shade, it is still related to

Diversity Within The Workplace, Many People And
Companies...
When looking at diversity in the workplace, many people and companies encourage
it. Cultural diversity has become a defining characteristic of an increasing number of
societies ( Consequences of Cultural diversity this should be the author and the date).
They feel that it is a great thing to have diversity in the workplace, however, what
some companies do not think about is the negative effects of having too much
diversity in the workplace. A workforce that has significant differences in ethnicity,
race, religion, gender and other individual traits can produce negative effects,
especially if not well managed. These negative effects of diversity are understandable
if the work culturedoes not support tolerance and acceptance of... Show more content

The real problem comes with the companies that are widely diverse because of the
different combinations of cultures that are being mixed. Also, another problem
with diversity in the workplace is time. Different cultures and societies view time
differently, as how many hours employees are expected to work in a day and how
many are spent with family vary. Other cultures work long hours in a day, but they
also take a long lunch break as where others work for an average of eight hours a
day with an average lunch of thirty minutes. With all of the differences that cultures
have, it can make it difficult for a large corporation to be successful and effective, as
well as efficient, when managing the workplace.
The benefits of diversity in the hospitality business are numerous, however.
Diversity can bring new views and perspectives to the table to other workers that
they may not have been exposed to it before. It may not occur to a large group of,
for example, middle class white people that there are better solutions or plans for their
workplace because they all might have relatively the same ideals and work ethics.
However, having diverse groups of people could bring those fresh ideas and problem
solving to these workers that may otherwise not occur to them. Especially different

Inhumanity In The Blade Runner By Hampton Fincher And
Humans
Blade Runner, the classic sci fi noir movie by Hampton Fincher and David Peoples, is
a futuristic perspective on slavery, humanity, and the rights of thinking beings. In the
movie, Deckard, a blade runner and the main character of the story, hunts down
Nexus 6 replicants: androids imposed with superhuman strength and nearly human
intelligence who have gone rogue (2, 10). These androids are given a four year
lifespan to prevent them from developing human emotions which way throughout the

Throughout the movie, the line between humanity and inhumanity becomes thinner
and better, causing problems for Deckard and Tyrell Corporation. In its entirety, Blade

Descriptive Essay On The Magic Basketball
The Magic Basketball
Once upon a time, in a place called Twin Falls, Idaho, there was a young fourth
grader attending Morningside Elementary. His name was Johnny, and he was
having a great time out at recess. He played soccer, went on the swings, and did
more. But there was still one thing he needed to do. He wanted to play basketball.
He ran to the basketball court as fast as he could with his friends. They looked like
graceful gazelles galloping across a field. But when he got there, he noticed that the
basketball court was taken by the fifth grade bully, Robbie, and his bully friends.
Robbie was gigantic compared to the other fifth graders. He was easily five feet tall
and was stacked with muscles. It was rumored that if Robbie was hit by a semi
truck, the only thing broken would be the semi truck. That s how stacked he was.
If you want to play on this basketball court, Robbie sneered, you have to win it from

Johnny was worried because he thought he was going to lose to Robbie. Johnny

Later that day, Johnny was walking around at the park, being sad. He had practiced

Active Smokers in Indonesia
There are a lot of smokers in the world. In Indonesia, the number of these smokers is
really surprising. There are over 60 million people active smokers in this country
(Faizal, 2012). In Jakarta, smokers are the kings. Go to any coffee shop or any other
public place, really and you ll easily spot people smokingin a room that has an
obvious no smoking sign (Barley, 2011). It will be no surprise if the non smokers are
the minority in this city. Although horrifying impacts of smoking are clearly written
on the cover of every cigarettepackages, it seems that the active smokers does not
really care about the advertising, as the number of active smokers are very high.
There are two types of smokers. The first is the active smokers and the second is
the passive smokers. The active smokers are then broken down into 7 types of
smokers. The first is the Skinny Smoker. The skinny smokers are those people who
thinks that they can lose and maintain their skinny weight just by smoking.
Moreover, skinny smokers are trapped with the idea that once they stop smoking, it
would make them gain weight. The next type of smokers are the Sneaky smokers;

Today, most American people will enjoy a meal that will be complete with an
animal protein; most commonly, chicken. The American people will consume an
average of around 9 billion chickens yearly. ( Poultry Facts ) Of those chickens,
nearly 70% are raised in filthy, industrial style warehouses, having never even seen
the sun. ( BroilerChicken Industry Key Facts 2016 ) These warehouses, or broiler
sheds, pack the chickens tightly together, so much so that they must walk on top
of one another to move around. The chickens are overfed extensively and treated
with high amounts of antibiotics and growth hormones. After only being alive for
less than 50 days, the chickens are snatched up and packed into the back of trucks.
Soon the chickens arrive for slaughter and are quickly hung upside down, stunned,
and cut in to pieces. ( The Life of: Broiler Chickens ) I understand that eating
animals is natural for people, excluding vegans and vegetarians; I also eat animals,
but I do not understand why the animals we eat must suffer. Also, due to the
unsanitary conditions of the sheds, those who tirelessly work to keep the flocks
alive are likely to suffer from chronic bronchitis, are subjected to dangerous amounts
of E. coli bacteria, and are at a higher risk of contracting a strain of avian viruses, all
just to earn minuscule wages with almost no insurance. (Monbiot George)
Additionally, due to the change in the National Poultry Inspection System s policy,

Paid Essay Writing.pdf

  • 1. Paid Essay Writing Writing an essay on the topic of "Paid Essay Writing" can prove to be a challenging endeavor, as it involves navigating through a myriad of perspectives and ethical considerations. The complexity arises from the dual nature of the subject, where one must address both the academic discourse surrounding essay composition and the contentious issue of paying for such services. Firstly, delving into the academic realm requires a deep understanding of essay writing principles, citation styles, and the overall structure of a well-crafted essay. This demands meticulous research and an adept ability to articulate thoughts coherently, ensuring that the essay adheres to the established norms of scholarly writing. Additionally, addressing counterarguments and incorporating relevant evidence to support one's stance adds another layer of complexity. On the flip side, discussing the paid aspect introduces a moral and ethical dimension. One needs to explore the motivations behind seeking paid essay writing services, whether it's due to time constraints, a lack of proficiency in the subject matter, or other factors. Evaluating the ethical implications involves considering issues such as academic integrity, the potential for plagiarism, and the impact on personal growth and learning. Furthermore, the writer must approach the topic with sensitivity, acknowledging the diverse reasons individuals may opt for paid essay writing while remaining objective in their analysis. Striking the right balance between empathy for the challenges students face and maintaining academic integrity poses an additional challenge. In conclusion, crafting an essay on the subject of "Paid Essay Writing" necessitates a delicate balance between academic rigor and ethical considerations. Navigating through the intricacies of both realms demands careful research, critical thinking, and a nuanced understanding of the ethical landscape. Writing on this topic requires the ability to present a well-structured argument that respects differing viewpoints while upholding the standards of academic excellence. • 2. Case Study On Print Advertising INTRODUCTION The purpose of this analytical research portfolio is to discuss and examine about contemporary print advertising, in terms of its theoretical approaches such as textual structures, branding, reliance on celebrity endorsements and the pleasures that it offers to consumers (refer to Slide 3). In this essay however, I will elaborate specifically on a particular print advertisement from the company Sisley , which is commonly advertised in women s fashion magazines and on how Semiotics and Signs is prevalent with regards to its advertising (Samuel Shane 2017). CASE STUDY ON SISLEY S PRINT ADVERTISEMENT Established in Paris 1968, the French apparel brand Sisley began with their revolutionary Denim collection. Then in 1974 the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The advertisement drew ire as it featured women snorting thin, white clothing off a surface, with the caption Fashioin Junkie just below its Sisley brand in the middle of the ad (refer to Slide 8 and Annexes). The play on the words Fashioin Junkie suggests the combination of Fashion and Heroin in one word, together with the reinforcement of the word Junkie , to imply that the models are the image of the combined slogan. The ad hit the fashion industry especially hard, as models have always been associated with cocaine use, due to its appetite suppressing qualities. And as the two thin models in the advert suggest, it further implies the desired figure to attain regardless of the costs involved. Although the advertisement appears at first glance to be somewhat glamorous and glossy, this fuels the suggestion of glamorising drug use as a posh, desirable, high society trait. The attractive eye makeup too, enhances the look of the effect in drug use, as it implies the after effects of regular substance abuse and further reinforces the heroin link. The negative impact of the entire print advertisement, represented the link between the Sisley fashion label, together with model thin figures and heroin drug abuse, in order to attain a desirable image set by the brand and society, amongst the young, urban and professional audience. Fashioin Junkie may have initially been intended as a shock and awe campaign, as is common with most Benetton Group ads, but has since backfired tremendously on the brand and as well as the fashion industry as a consequence, for its severe lack of tact, taste and ethical values (refer to Slide
  • 3. In 1973 Alice Walker wrote a short story called Everyday... In 1973 Alice Walker wrote a short story called Everyday Use. This story is told in first person by mama and in set in the Deep South. Now, Alice Walker is a very well known name when it comes to writing and acting. She began her life in Eatonton, Georgian and was the youngest of eight children. Her family made their living by sharecropping and she says that, It was great fun being cute. But then, one day, it ended. She had an accident with a BB gun and it almost blinded her at the age of eight. Her family could not afford for her to have surgery and for six years she walked with her head down, not being able to lift it. Walker s confidence was shattered and did not return until after the surgery in which they removed the scar tissue from... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Just like how the churn and the dasher were passed down. Quilts that you make are something that can last forever, even when you do not. One of the ways that Alice Walker really makes the characters believable and interesting is how she creates a true black women of the South. People who have not experience the south or even being around African American women do not know how they act or talk or even if they have different behaviors than us. That sounds ridiculous to some people who have been to the south and lived there growing up, but everything there probably think that we all still ride horses to work and school just as we think that they all go to church every day and eats grits for breakfast. Some of that may be true, but if have not been to the South how would you know? Alice Walker makes it seem as if you have experienced the south and the women living there by how she takes about them in her short story. One of the things that really stands out is how everyone is very concerned about heritage. Dee even views her heritage as an artifact that she can posses and appreciate from a distance. She thinks about everything in a different way than everyone else in this story. She sees how everything can be framed. When she wants the quilt framed her mother even comments to her, that was the only thing you could do with quilts. Everything in the south seems to be a little different, whether that is
  • 4. Analysis Of Jacque-Louis David Oath Of The Horatii Jacques Louis David, The Oath Of The Horatii Jacque Louis David s The Oath of the Horatii is an oil on canvas painting that was commissioned by the Administrator of Royal Residences, Louis XVI. It was painted in Rome and exhibited at the Salon of 1785 (BC, 1998). That year, the people who visited Paris Salon were captivated by this one painting. The painting depicts three men who are brothers, saluting toward three swords that are held up by their father. The women behind them are grieving. A painting like it had never been seen by anyone (KHANacademy, 2015). Subjects similar to it had been seen in the Salons before, but the physicality and intense emotion that is depicted by the painting was entirely new and quite undeniable. This revolutionary ... The atmosphere softened by the shades of green, brown, pink and red which are all very inconspicuous. Instead of opening up the painting out onto a landscape or an expanse of sky, it is closed off to the outside. It is bathed in a shadow. The result is that the light in this scenery has a brick toned reflection, one which encircles the figures with a mysterious halo. The laborious and well organized arrangement that David put into this work of art, the superior agreement of the colors as well as the spiritual density of figures. The sacrifice, updated by the oath became the establishing act of a new artistic and moral order. The art is successful in revealing the type of rivalry that existed among the Romans and their neighbors and how combat was used as a solution to the

He identifies these characteristics as all the discourse communities has agreed upon common goals, mechanisms of intercommunication among its members, provide information and feedback, possess one or more genres of communication, distinguish vocabulary or lexis, and requirement for memberships (Swales, 1990, p. 1 5). The International Game Developers Association (IGDA), falls into the category as a discourse community. In this paper, I will compare and contrast the events in the first two chapters of Genesis and determine if the two creation stories theory is probable. Towards the end of this paper, I will give my own opinion on the two creation stories theory based off of the scriptures that I read. In the beginning of Genesis chapter one, God creates the heaven and the earthin seven days. The second verse of Genesis chapter one tells the readers that the Earth had no form so God, an omnipresent spirit, has to bring to order to the newly created galaxy. According to the protestant bible, God is a powerful spirit that can speak things into existence. For example, God simply says, let there be light in the third verse of Genesis and this scripture shows the power of God. After the first day of creation, God focuses on dividing the waters and creating a firmament. The Bible tells the readers that the firmament later becomes known as heaven.... The truth is that the differences outweigh the similarities between the two stories and it is hard to deny the facts when it is in the scripture. Nevertheless, I believe that both of these stories are still essential to the Christian and Jewish faith. My favorite creation story is the one that is told in the first chapter of Genesis because it not sexist. Although it may sound farfetched, the second creation story focuses on a man and the woman is basically in the Garden to serve the man. Additionally, the second story of creation does not explain why Adam is the first human, which leads me to believe that a misogynistic male wrote this

Symptoms And Treatment Of Delirium Delirium is an acute change in brain function that can be accompanied by inattention and either a change in cognition or perceptual disturbances (Allen and Alexander, 2012). Delirium in critical care patients is very common, it actually occurs in 2 out of 3 intensive care patients who are on a ventilator, but often goes undetected because deliriummonitoring is considered too time consuming or unreliable (Reade and Finfer, 2014). Intensive care unit (ICU) patients that have delirium spend more days on a ventilator, remain on sedation longer, have increased chance for infections, have longer hospitalstays, and higher mortality rates during their hospital admission and in the 6 months after. According to Eastwood, Peck, Bellomo, Baldwin, and Reade (2012), most of these patients are also left with permanent cognitive problems that they struggle with for years. Not only does delirium cause more issues with the patients, it can cost the hospital more money due to increased length of stay, hospital acquired infections such as pneumonia, and re admissions. Studies have shown that using the confusion assessment method (CAM) every shift, and performing the assessment correctly, can help detect delirium in ICU patients earlier. When delirium is caught early the healthcare team can initiate interventions to decrease the severity of delirium and work towards better outcomes for the patient. In contrast they expect that low achieving Asian students, as indicated by 9th grade GPA, will be especially susceptible to bullying. Their main focus was to examine how bullying affects academic achievement. After conducting their research, the researchers came to the conclusion that although family background and school characteristics notably affects students performance, bullying also have significant influence in students educational achievement. As stated in the research article their studying found that bullying decreases 12th grade GPA after considering key student and school characteristics associate with achievement. Moreover, they concluded that the impact of bullying has an abiding effect on students academic achievement even after the bullying incident. The second finding of the study gave partial support for their second hypothesis which suggested that Asian, Black, and Latinos students were going to be more likely to experience bullying when they did not meet their stereotype. With healthcare reform and the enactment of the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (ACA) in 2010, Medicaid will possibly be the main insurer for increasing coverage to millions of low income, uninsured Americans. Medicaid, a government funded health insuranceplan overseen by the state, has supplied coverage for people with disabilities, children, pregnant women, seniors, and the indigent. Managed careplans have aimed to contract with healthcare providers and provide coverage at reduced costs (Smith Coustasse, 2014). The ACA has helped people become eligible for Medicaid who otherwise would not be able to afford health insurance. There will be more equality between genders, before ACA, the majority of beneficiaries were female. Even though ACA has helped more people become eligible for Medicaid, there are also challenges that have risen due to this as well. The focus of this paper is on the challenges regarding Medicaid managed care and how they can be resolved. The first area discussed will be the history behind Medicaid. Then move on to the challenges of the Medicaid Managed Care Program and how they can be resolved as well as the possible solutions. Background of Medicaid Managed Care Medicaid was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson on July 30, 1965 (History, 2015). Medicaid covers people who are low income, pregnant, disabled, and

However, not all cultural changes regarding the automobile were positive. The automobile lured many families into an investment they could not afford to upkeep. Between gasoline, repairs and upgrades, the costs quickly add up (Document 3). There were no shortage of safety issues with the automobile. Unlike the wealth of airbags and other safety features included in modern cars, the automobiles of the early 1900s had almost none. This

It is an an extraordinary work, grandly conceived, brilliantly executed and wildly entertaining novel of Tolkien .In the whole novel we see that it s a hobbit s dream, a wizard s delight. And, of course, it s only the beginning. The language used in this novel is very simple and easy to understand by people. In short this novel has won the hearts of many .This novel is a must read. I see this novel as a near perfect: It s one of the best fantasy novel ever written. The story just revolves around the Ring which is created by a Dark lord, Sauron. It has brought the supernaturalism in such a way that we could clearly make out where is the supernaturalism used. Born on November 30, 1667, Irish author, clergyman and satirist Jonathan Swift grew up fatherless. Strategic Analysis of Apple Computers BUSINESS APPLE COMPUTERS STRATEGIC ANALYSIS 2005 Strengths and Opportunities In 2005, Apple Computers experienced significant sales increases attributable to the earlier rollout of the iPod (Robbins Judge, 2009). The positive publicity and brand perception associated with that project also spilled over to its entire line of Macintosh computers, further bolstering sales revenue and corporate profits that year. The sales volume of virtually all Apple products increased after the introduction of the iPod, hitting $320 million in June of 2005 (Robbins Judge, 2009). In general, every successful Apple product has benefited brand recognition and perception and invigorated the sales of other product lines, even those not directly related to it. By the end of 2005, Apple had sold approximately 22 million iPod units and more than half a billion individual song downloads through its music store, iTunes (George Jones, 2008). Weaknesses Generally, there is also a potential downside to the cross promotional effect of products: namely, to the extent consumers draw conclusions about all company products from its failures. In 2005, Apple suffered from this principle twice, after many iPods were released with batteries that performed poorly and iPod Nanos were released with screens that malfunctioned ((Akin, Dunford, Palmer, 2006). In addition to replacing the defective units, the company also provided various free accessories, such as battery cases. Apple was also pressed by

Cooke turned to Randall Johnson, the district manager, and informed Johnson that she believed Elauf wore her headscarf because of her faith. She wanted to determine whether or not the headscarf was in violation of this policy. Randall Johnson informed Cooke that Elauf s wearing headscarf would violate the look policy , and therefore that Elauf should not be hired. As a result, Elauf didn t get hired by Abercrombie Fitch Co. Procedural History: The EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) sued Abercrombie on the behalf of Elauf, claiming that Abercrombie s

  • 32. The Emperor s New Clothes Hans Christian Anderson displays insight into the vanity of man in the popular children s story, The Emperor s New Clothes . Although born into the world as unique individuals, humans grow up seeking approval, acceptance, and validation in the societal norms in which they live. Rather than embracing their individuality, most live out their lives trying to fit into a mold that their culture deems as successful. Most cultures view accomplishments, wealth, and positions of influence as measures of success; thus, an individual s value is calculated by what he has externally and not by who he is internally. Therefore, many people fail to develop their gifts, talents, and personalities to live a fulfilling life for themselves, and they succumb to societal pressure to strive for the materialistic, external trappings of success. This presents a struggle between self and society. In The Emperor s New Clothes , Anderson uses clothingto symbolize this struggle wearing society s accepted standards as clothes to mask our naked vulnerability to rejection. Anderson s story centers on an emperor whose validation comes from his wardrobe. This fondness for beautiful clothes leaves him vulnerable to a couple of swindlers who come to his town; these con artists claimed to be weavers of an extraordinary cloth that is invisible to anyone who was unfit for his office or unforgiveable stupid (The Emperor s New Clothes, para 2). The unique properties of the cloth intrigue the

The authors argue that in group versus out group hostilities will lessen between the whites and honorary whites, however this will only increase their in group size compared to the out group of the collective blacks and only create new tensions while strengthening old ones between these two groups. This will be because the collective blacks will feel more segregated from their lighter skinned counterparts. This type of grouping will only allot the whites more power as honorary whites participation within social society will rely solely on their whitesuperiors for their approval. Ludwig also writes that white is monochromatic, which relates to racial intermixing and the idea of white purity or eugenics because once a wholly white European has sex with someone who is not, then their child s dominant white genes are saturated with others gene types, thus believed to taint their purity and dub them less white and less valuable. This is the same with other skin colors that may purposely mate with someone who possesses milky, white skin in order to perpetuate this idealized characteristic in their child, because the own dismay for their own skin color, precedent by the colorism fluxes in society, is influential because parents do not want their child to go through the social maltreatment they endured. Another reason for the overemphasis on the importance of whiteness may be its relationship to light, as white is strictly opaque, lacking dimensions unlike its colorful counterparts whose dimensions compare to their prejudicial past and present in which they suffer from discrimination and bigotry by its white Supremes. This differs from black because other in between colors like red, green, and blue all make variations of black when combined at different levels, which is representative of the forgotten races of Asians, Native Americans, Latinos, etc. When this occurs, even if the resulting color is a lighter shade, it is still related to

The real problem comes with the companies that are widely diverse because of the different combinations of cultures that are being mixed. Also, another problem with diversity in the workplace is time. Other cultures work long hours in a day, but they also take a long lunch break as where others work for an average of eight hours a day with an average lunch of thirty minutes. Similarly, to the n word used during the times of slavery, Replicants are referred to as skin jobs , a seemingly derogatory term.
