Jimmy Valentine Identity
Have you ever thought of starting a new life? A new identity, no one could judge you based on your
past. This is what Jimmy Valentine attempted to do when he took on the identity of Ralph D. Spencer.
Jimmy had a questionable past, and knew he wouldn t have anyone s respect given his reputation. He
was out of jail and the window was wide open for him to start completely over. Jimmy Valentine was
dedicated to living a moral life because he got a new job, he tried to detach himself from his past, and
his actions towards others changed. The first step of becoming Ralph Spencer was a new job. This
meant kicking the old habits that came with this previous job. He hadn t done anything illegal in a
year. His most well known crime was cracking safes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Multiple times throughout the story it was mentioned that jimmy carried his briefcase everywhere. His
briefcase contained an expensive set of tools that he used for cracking safes. He may of keeped his
tools for because he still used them, bet he could have well carried them because he was afraid of
them being stolen and him losing the money spent in them or so his future wife wouldn t accidentally
open it and find out something she wasn t supposed to know. Not only did he carry his briefcase every
where, but he remembered how to do everything. He opened up the safe quickly with no problem at
all. If anything, this ended up benefiting everyone. Who knows what could ve happened had Jimmy
not been able to open the safe. He will also carry his gigantic criminal record with him forever. It s
true that you can t erase something off your permanent record. What you can do is try to change your
image and not get in trouble anymore. While some may attempt to make the argument that Jimmy did
not attempt to live a moral life, it is clear that this is not true for many reasons. Jimmy Valentine lived
a moral life by getting a new job, he separated himself from his past, and he got a better attitude.
Jimmy Valentine had a successful attempt to create a new life. It takes a lot of dedication to start
completely over, and Jimmy had what it

Human Genetics And Molecular Mechanisms
Having a childhood friend with an abnormal genetic condition had a significant impact in my life at a
very early stage. As a child, I was puzzled with questions about him being different than rest of the
children. It was only during my middle and high school that I learnt about genetics and started
embracing the concept of DNA and the mutations associated with genes which could lead to abnormal
genetic conditions. This little exposure to genetics helped me in understanding why my friend was
different from rest of us and motivated me to further pursue my interest in biological sciences.
To learn more about human genetics and molecular mechanisms involved in the various genetic
disorders, I decided to pursue a comprehensive undergraduate course at Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla
University, (Raipur, India). My undergraduate studies gave me an opportunity to learn a wide variety
of concepts in human genetics along with chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and
biotechnology. As part of my curriculum, I worked for a summer research project involved with
Human Cytogenetics in Genetech which is India s one of the leading genetic testing laboratory based
in Hyderabad. This gave me a hands on training in handling patients sample and performing
karyotyping on the same. During this program, I also got an opportunity to participate in a few genetic
counselling sessions which not only made me aware of radical approach the counsellors follow to help
the families in understanding the

Sirius Xm Case Study
Sirius Xm (SIRI) Turnaround post 2007 merger
Industry:
* Prior to change: Sector: Consumer Services / Industry: Broadcasting Radio * After change: Sector:
Consumer Services / Industry: Broadcasting Radio
Challenge Years: Pre and Post 2007 (merger)
Introduction:
* Sirius and XM, separate companies, began to compete in the satellite radio business in 2001 and
2002. Target market was car drivers and daily commuters who listened to their local radio stations that
they preferred, but were limited to small service areas and less range and would lose frequency once
out of that locality. Wall Street believed that satellite radio was the next opportunity in consumer
electronics.
* The business was very modest at first with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Having secured installation deals with automakers including Chrysler, Ford and BMW, Sirius
launched the initial phase of its service in four cities on February 14, 2002, expanding to the rest of the
contiguous United States on July 1, 2002.
* In November 2001, Margolese stepped down as CEO, remaining as chairman until November 2003,
with Sirius issuing a statement thanking him for his great vision, leadership and dedication in creating
both Sirius and the satellite radio industry. Joe Clayton, former CEO of Global Crossing, followed as
CEO from November 2001 until November 2004. Clayton stayed on as chairman until July 2008. Mel
Karmazin, former president of Viacom, became CEO in November 2004, and remained in that
position through the merger, until December 2012.
Early days of XM: * XM Satellite Radio was founded by Lon Levin and Gary Parsons. It has its
origins in the 1988 formation of the American Mobile Satellite Corporation (AMSC), a consortium of
several organizations originally dedicated to satellite broadcasting of telephone, fax and data signals.
In 1992, AMSC established a unit called the American Mobile Radio Corporation, dedicated to
developing a satellite based digital radio service; this was spun off as XM Satellite Radio Holdings,
Inc. in 1998. Its planned financing was complete by July 2000, at which point XM had raised $1.26

Chevrolet Comparison
The Chevrolet Cobalt is a compact front wheel drive model and successor to the popular Chevrolet
Cavalier. Originally offered in sedan, coupe, and supercharged versions, the latter was eventually
replaced by a turbo. Following a six year run, the Cobalt was replaced by the Chevrolet Cruze.
Chevrolet Cobalt: 2005 to 2010
The Chevrolet Cobalt was introduced in 2005 and built through 2010. This model replaced the
Cavalier and was itself replaced by the Cruze. Buyers considering the Cobalt might also explore the
nearly identical Pontiac G5 built from 2007 to 2009. Both are front wheel drive models with room for
five.
Initially, Cobalt coupe models were sold in base, LS, and SS trim, while sedans were offered in base,
LS, and LT trims. When released, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The sedan also received an SS edition with both models powered by a naturally aspirated 2.4 liter
engine and the SS Supercharged powered by the 2.0 liter, four cylinder engine.
Beginning in 2007, Chevrolet rolled out a new audio system, wheel packages, and a new steering
wheel. Additional trim shuffling took place in 2008. The SS coupe and SS sedan were renamed the
Sport coupe and the Sport sedan, respectively. Previous optional equipment, including an MP3 player,
XM radio, and side impact airbags were now standard. A new stability control system was introduced.
For 2009, the Sport coupe and Sport sedan models were eliminated, along with the 2.4 liter engine
powering them. An upgraded 2.2 liter engine was introduced. Bluetooth connectivity was added as
well. Other changes included making OnStar telematics standard across the model line, an iPod
compatible USB port was added to the radio, and new low rolling resistance tires were introduced.
The 2010 Cobalt is mostly a carryover model with a new My Link telematics and trim package
introduced. A power sunroof and performance display were made standard on the Cobalt SS

Examples Of Surveillance In George Orwell s 1984
Surveillance in George Orwell s 1984 is extreme, but there are some very real parallels to today s life.
Telescreens and hidden microphones are just a couple of examples of 1984 s controlling technology.
The ideas depicted by author George Orwell s dystopian society are becoming more real every day.
Telescreens were literally and thematically the biggest piece of surveillance technology in 1984. They
were large screens that took in as much information as they put out. They were massive and could
look over an entire room. A telescreen could record video of a person and also record sound,
transmitting the recordings presumably to thought police to be monitored. They could hear anything
above a soft whisper and they could see anything in

X rays Science Assessment 9B
History
X rays are used for medical purposes. They are a form of radiation named electromagnetic waves (EM
Radiation). They are used to take pictures of the insides of the human body which come out in black
and white. The X ray was first developed in 1895 by a man named Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen. While
He was working with a cathode ray tube in his laboratory, Roentgen observed a fluorescent glow of
crystals on a nearby table close to his tubes. The tube that he was working with consisted of a bulb
with positive and negative electrodes enclosed within it, when the air inside of the tube left and when
a high voltage was applied to it , the tube produced a fluorescent glow. Roentgen then shielded the

Essay on Charles Dickens Great Expectations
Charles Dickens Great Expectations Introduction: Great Expectations was one of Dickens best known
novels and was written in 1860. Great Expectations is a Bildungsroman and follows the progression of
Pip from child to adult; from humble blacksmith to gentleman; from innocence to experience; from
rags to riches and on his journey, Pip meets a range of interesting characters, from the comical
Wemmick, to the cruel Estella. This novel reflects parts of Victorian times, with class divide, child
labour and improving one s fortunes. Dickens wrote to entertain the public and the public got a say in
how the novel progressed due to the fact that Dickens wrote in monthly instalments in a magazine
called Household Words . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He has a great iron on his leg which shows us this character is a convict and that he may be dangerous.
The fact that Magwitch is soaked in water, smothered in mud, lamed by stones, cut by flints and stung
by nettles makes us have pity for Magwitch and makes us ask questions such as why is Magwitch
here? This creates conflicting emotions within the reader. Dickens also uses characters speech to make
them striking and memorable for the reader. We actually hear Magwitch before we see him and his
first words are hold your noise! This immediately shocks us as well as Pip and the use of the
imperative verb gives Magwitch authority. This is then added to with a threat, keep still you little devil
or I ll cut your throat This order again shocks the reader and we don t like the idea of a grown man
threatening a young child. We fear for Pip s safety and we ask questions such as: Why is this man
threatening Pip? And what does he want with Pip? The background that a character appears on also
affects the way a reader reacts to the character and can help to build an impression. The more unusual
or impressive the background, the more we remember it and the characters that appeared on it.
Magwitch is presented against a dark, bleak background, with red and black lines

Causes Of The Indian Mutiny
The Indian Mutiny, also known as the Indian Revolt, was a war between the Indians and the British.
Basically the war was due to the prolonged British occupation over the land of the Indians. The war
was the first war that the Indians fought over their independence and the Sepoy Mutiny. The British
launched their presence in India during the 17th century. This was at the part time of the Mogul
empire. At this period of time, the territory of Bombay had just been acquired by the East India
Company which had over the years expanded its territory. The company had a strong army which
eventually took out the French after the Battle of Plassey, 1757, hundred years earlier. The army of the
Indian soldiers was compromised of British soldiers who acted as the commanders. They were called
sepoys. This war was propelled by several causes and eventually resulted to several consequences. We
shall start by looking into the causes. These causes were mainly as a result of the policy of
westernization.
Introduction of the British Doctrine of Lapse
This was basically a doctrine that placed rules on inheritance of power and land. It offered permission
to the British empire allowing them to be able to expand their empirical domain. This expansion was
supposed to be carried out at the expense of the Indian Princes. It was by forbidding persons who were
not natural heirs from inheriting any state. The policy was also extended to princely titles and
pensions. States that eventually lapsed into

Gap Year Is The Right Choice
Gap Year Is The Right Choice
People these days should take the gap year because it lets them have the time to find out the person
that they want to be in life. Today most students are taking the path of having a gap year because they
are very stressed throughout high school and just need a break from school for a little while. Some
students have no motivation or clue what they want to do in college so by having this gap year it gives
them the time to explore and find out what interest them. This will give them a better idea of what
they want to major in and eventually have a job in as well. Some would say that going to college right
after high school could make life a lot less problematic; however, students should choose to take a gap
year to have the most favorable outcomes after high school.
The students who take a gap year may never attend college, but some of the colleges recommend to
the students that they should take a gap year. A lot of parents are worried if their child decides they are
going to take a gap year that they will find the time off really fun and they will find other interest and
they never want to attend college. In today s society more of the colleges across the United States are
actually saying to the students that they should take a gap year so they can become more mature and
ready for their college experience. Now in the 21st century, the U.S. colleges and universities accept
gap years, they encourage them. Many of the country s leading

The Journal Articles On Special Education Assessment
Journal Articles Review Analyzed below are the two journal articles about special education
assessments entitled, Predictors of Assessment Accommodations Use for Students Who are Deaf or
Hard of Hearing from the Journal of Educational Research Policy Studies (Cawthon WurtzBest, 2010)
and A Methodology for Assessing the Functions of Emerging Speech in Children with Developmental
Disabilities from the Journal of Applied Behavioral Analysis (Parten, et al, 2005). The analysis
revolves around the following areas: nature of research, summary, critique, personnel, future practice,
and future research. A. Nature of Research The first article, Predictors of Assessment
Accommodations Use for Students Who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing by Cawthon WurtzBest (2010),
is a regression study aimed to explore whether student characteristics, teacher perspectives, and
contextual factors predict accommodations use with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
(Cawthon WurtzBest, 2010). The article is very relevant to special education assessment because it
discussed implications for assessment policies and practices with students who are deaf or hard of
hearing, particularly during an era of accountability reform (NCLB accountability). The second
article, A Methodology for Assessing the Functions of Emerging Speech in Children with
Developmental Disabilities by Lerman, Parten, Addison, Vorndran, Volkert, Kodak, 2005 (2005), is
about an experimental study aimed to develop and evaluate

Bar Codes
How Much Do Your Mistakes Cost?
Brittney Roper, R.N.
Southwestern Oklahoma State University
Introduction
Proper patient identification in hospitals has been an issue for many years, especially when it comes to
blood specimen collection. Laboratory specimens being mislabeled are a everyday cause of harm to
patients including repeat diagnostic procedures; repeat phlebotomy; delays in necessary surgical
procedures; a performing unnecessary surgical procedures (Dunn and Moga, 2010). This is not only
costly, but it is very stressing to patients and medical staff. The biggest concern is the possibility of
making a fatal error when it comes to specimen collection. Without proper patient identification this
risk increases substantially. Wallin, Sodberg, Van Guelpen, Stenlund, Grankvist, and Brulin (2009)
state that critical errors in patient identification for blood testing occurs in up to one per 1000
specimens or procedures and misidentified specimens cause 160,000 adverse events every year in
America.
Bar coding has been introduced into many hospitals in the last several years. Using bar codes on
patients ID bracelets and labels for specimens has been the normal practice for Saint Francis Hospital
for some time. However, the labels aren t used as well as they should be to prevent errors in patient
care. According to Wickham, Miedema, Gamerdinger, and DeGooyer (2006), implementing the use of
bar codes for patient identification will prevent

Personal Experience Of Abusive Relationships
Welcome to my blog, Perfect Love. Throughout my blog posts, I will discuss my personal experience
with an abusive relationship, how to realize that you are in an abusive relationship, and how to leave.
Aside from using my own personal experiences, I will also add credible sources to my posts.
At some point in your life, you will meet someone and fall in love. For me, this experience happened
my junior year of high school as I met my boyfriend, John (names have been changed). At first,
everything was great. I was a cheerleader and he was a football player; the perfect combination. As
time went on, I began to notice him acting differently. He would call me names, and treat me like the
dirt under his shoe. However; I stayed because he kept reminding ... Show more content on

He would have his fair share with other girls and would degrade me. The name calling then turned
into screaming arguments, leaving me in tears. If I did not do what he wanted, he would make sure to
make my life a living hell. I began to lose many great friendships because I was not allowed to
hangout with anyone. He would keep tabs on me all of the time. I was not allowed to drink alcohol, go
to parties, hangout with my family, or have any guy friends.
Now, I know what you are all thinking. Leah, why did you stay? Honestly, I can t really answer this
question. At the time, John made me feel like I could not do any better. He would tell me that I was
too ugly to ever find someone to love. And every time I did try to leave, he would always find a way
for me to stay. Whether it be texting me 100 times, or talking to me until I agreed to take him back.
Leaving can be more complicated than it seems.
According to The National Domestic Violence Hotline, the abused stay in domestic relationships due
to fear, embarrassment, low self esteem, love, and believing that the abuse is normal. For me, these are
all true.
Fear: I was afraid of what my life would end up being if John was not in my life. I was afraid of what
he would do if I actually did leave

The Effects Of Ddt On The Environment
The purpose of the project is to determine whether or not a rise in Dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene
(DDE) concentrations over time will correlate to a decrease in Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane
(DDT) concentrations. The motivation for the project was to see if the use of DDT and DDE has any
negative affects on the environment, and if so how bad is the affects? This topic was chosen because
DDT use was a major environmental issue and is still considered a problem today. It s important to
recognize the long lasting affects that pesticides have on an ecosystem.
The pesticide DDT was first utilized in 1939 when a Swiss chemist, Paul Hermann Muller revealed
the effectiveness of the 1st modern synthetic insecticide. In 1945, farmers gained access to DDT to use
as an agricultural insecticide; it was also widely used in homes and institutions for insect control.
Years later in 1969, DDTs safety concern grew. Following an investigation conducted by John F.
Kennedy s team of scientists, it was recommended that persistent toxic pesticides , including DDT,
become phased out. In 1971, the U.S. District Court of Appeals ordered the Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA), to ban DDT; in 1972 3 DDT the ban became effective.
As of today, even though DDT has been banned for 20+ years, DDT/DDE can still be found in the
environment. DDT/DDE residue is a major problem, especially because DDT/DDE have the same
toxicity but DDE is more harmful to the environment because organisms have

Captain Beatty s The Brothers Karamazov
Captain Beatty put the fire down. This is not a book that you, sir, want to burn; we have too much to

their lives before their killing of their father and the aftermath of the killing of their father. Why you,
Beatty, can t burn this book is because it has an amazing message behind it. After reading the book I
feel like it teaches the reader forgiveness. Forgiveness is a big part of the book, from the time the
brothers forgive their dad for walking out on them at birth to the time Koyla forgiving Ilusha for
almost killing as stray dog. As I read this book at each scenario where it showed forgiveness I was

In The Cask Of Amontillado, The Raven, And Annabel Lee
The unity of effect is all the elements in a story that channels the effect the author wants the audience
to experience. Therefore, to achieve the unity of effect in the Cask of Amontillado, The Raven, and
Annabel Lee, Poe used the elements of setting, alliteration, and unreliable narrator to help elicit the
unsettling mood in the audience.
For the sake of the unity of effect , Poe uses setting for the purpose of conceiving a sinister mood. As
Montresor and Fortunato walked deeper into the catacombs in the Cask of Amontillado, Montresor
points out the trickling of the water on the bones. We are below the river s bed. The drops of moisture
trickle among the bones. (Cask)The setting is under the surface of the earth, so the audience associates
it with with Hell because of the bones that lie around. The bones also make the audience feel that the
setting is eery and dangerous because it reminds them of death. This only makes isolation and danger
prominent factors in the setting. The mood becomes unpredictable and treacherous, with a sense of
fear and dread knowing that something bad will happen to the characters who are away from safety.
Under those circumstances, Poe controlled the audience s fear and the diabolical mood using the dark
setting.
Once again Poe uses the unity of effect to elicit this tense mood and draw out terror in the audience. In
The Raven, Poe used alliteration with the intention to build a suspenseful mood and dread in the
audience. The narrator of

What Are The Great Moments At St. Francis High School Service
Great moments are born from great opportunities. As a part of the Holy Cross family, we need to take
every opportunity to help each other. This helping is also known as the service program in St. Francis
High School. In the summer of 2013, I took an opportunity to experience the understanding of Holy
Cross and Catholic. I joined the vacation bible camp and taught kids what is catholic or what we
should do as a catholic. Those moments of my service program are indelible in my mind. On the third
day of my service at the vacation bible camp as a teen leader, there was a six year old kid came and
asked me a question after the mass. He asked me, Is God really going to hear my prayer? I was
surprised a small kid asking me a question that probably no kids of his age would ask. I was thinking
for a moment and trying to think how I should answer him. I gave him positive answer which is Yes .
The kid is confused for a moment and then asked, Are you sure? I know the kid was not expecting the
answer Yes again, so I gave him another answer. I told him told every prayer will be heard by God, but
God would choose the best plan for you even though the plan is not always what we want. After I
answered, he ran away with some other kids and started playing. I believed I did a good job answering
that question. I taught a catholic kid a deeper part of Catholic Christian. This is a great moment I
experienced as part of the Holy Cross. As a Holy Cross man and representing BRIC, I pointed

Analysis of Vindication of the Rights for Women by Mary...
A wise man once said Man is only great when he acts from passion. When you hear the word passion,
the first thing that might come to your mind is something related to love, and you re not entirely
wrong. According to Merriam Webster s dictionary, passion is defined as a strong feeling of
enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something or a strong feeling (such as anger)
that causes you to act in a dangerous way. All in all, it is a strong feeling, be it happiness, sadness,
anger or liberality. You can be passionate about many things such as love, sports, food, or intimacy.
However, it can also mean having a strong yearning for something. Vindication of the Rights for
Women by Mary Wollstonecraft was published in 1792, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout her manifesto, Wollstonecraft points out that if women were only taught to please men on
a daily basis, men would grow tired causing the women to cheat. She also points out renowned writers
such as Jean Jacques Rousseau. Ten years before this, Jean Jacques Rousseau had published his tell all
called Confessions. This was during the Romanticism period, a period where there was rejection of
rationality and reason while in favor of feelings. There was more emphasis on subjectivity, the way the
individual perceives their experience. From reading Vindication, you understand why Wollstonecraft
wrote this. She claims that Rousseau s view towards women were very double standard. He states that
Women are smaller compared to men, both in their physical frame and mental frame. So because of
that, they should all be submissive towards men. Thus, the prejudice of women being the weak and
sensitive sex prevails. Both men and women, live their lives believing that women are weak minded.
At an early age society teaches that a woman s mind is weaker than a man s mind, justifying it with
the fact that a woman s body is weaker than that of a man s. This conclusion seems fully plausible,
however if investigated further, one will find that that is not the case. A woman s mind is as fully
capable of reason as a man s mind. Wollstonecraft had two options to pick from. Either start a
revolution in regards to women rights and allowing them to be equal or to skillfully inject the

Chicago, Illinois Crime Analysis
Chicago, Illinois, is one of the most dangerous cities in the world, and is one of the most dangerous
city in America. Crime rate in Chicago is spread over murder, rape, assault, robbery, and many other
heinous crimes. The city does not know where to turn next, as their rates keep spiraling out of control.
Fatal crime in Chicago is higher than almost anywhere else in the United States, and that s what needs
to be controlled.
Chicago is one of the most dangerous cities in America and that can be supported because of its
significant crime rate. Not just the last couple of years, but for decades now. It is presumed that
because of the poverty, single parent homes, gun and gang violence, iit is believed that there are valid

Statistics show that murder has the lowest rate per 100,000 people and rape has the second lowest. It is
good that the most vicious crimes are at a minimum, but the number per capita needs to be
emphasized, (per 100,000). Out of the 25 different districts in Chicago, each one has its own statistics
and reports on the crimes that happen in their area. Their city wide crime stats just reinforce the high
in theft and burglary and the low in murder and sex related crimes. With reference to their rates being
a rollercoaster, between 2013 and 2017, murder crimes raised nearly 58% within those four years and
41% for rape and sex related crimes. On the other hand, theft and burglary actually went down by
27%. Even though there s more of that than anything else, it is still reducing and that is something to
acknowledge. In total, all crimes thrown together for a city wide rate is reducing by 8%. This means
that their criminal behavior is going lower in most areas, but not enough. Though people believe
statistics when they come from a valid source, it is hard to precisely measure the decrease and increase
of crimes in a city. Even the FBI sent a warning about such a thing, because they are aware that
statistics like these can impact a city heavily. The FBI aimed to simplistic and/or incomplete analyses
that often create misleading perceptions adversely affecting communities and their residents. It s
presumed that legitimate statistics

Leadership Opportunities Of The Youth Association Pee Wee...
Leadership opportunities abound not only in the work setting, but in churches, communities, and
neighborhoods as well. By taking on community leadership roles, individuals give back to the
community and gain valuable experience that will serve them well in the workplace. In my own
experience, I led the Chantilly Youth Association Pee Wee Soccer program for three years. In this
capacity, I created schedules, reserved fields and gyms, ordered uniforms, arranged for the training of
officials, collected money, and created teams for over 500 young children. I had a vision for the
program and helped it grow.
While Pee Wee Soccer is not rooted in a faith filled tradition, faith based leadership skills apply.
Running such a large program affords the opportunity to teach as Jesus did, at least with respect to
community and service, and gain valuable insight into organizational behavior. Perhaps the most
essential lesson learned is that to be successful, it is important to consider the needs of everyone
involved, and not merely the needs of a few.
Catholic School Leadership
The skills gained through Pee Wee Soccer prepared me well for the leadership roles I undertook in my
early years as a Catholic school teacher. Whether in the role as Math Committee chairperson or as
leader of the Word Study program, developing a vision, articulating that vision, and seeing it through
to completion helped me gain support from my peers and colleagues as I took on more responsibility

genres while adventure is the most fitting one. If one were to look up adventure genre, the would find
that most of the book identifies under that category. So if one asked what genre this book was many
would say adventure.
The last of the Mohicans unequivocally has a lot of adventure in it. In one of the first chapters, the
readers are introduced to an Indian who was posing as a guide for white men. When the crew ran into
Hawk eye and the Mohicans, Hawk eye quickly informed them that their guide was going to lead
them straight into an ambush. They tried to kill the guide, but he managed to get away. Hawk eye
knew that immediately after the Indian returned to his tribe the tribe would start hunting down the new
crew. They had to flew the area and find a hiding spot. All of this was in the earlier chapters of the
book and the adventure grows as time goes on. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This story has a lot of action, the charters are constantly trying to get away from the Indians or the
French. The crew is almost always in danger or risk, this makes a lot of excitement for the reader. It is
a fast paced novel, it can go from one minuet fighting to the next hiding again, this makes it hard to
anticipate what is going to happen next. There is no doubt that this novel is of the adventure genre.
If one were to ask what genre this book would be, one would think that many people would say
adventure. This is because most of the book is adventure. The reader had barely opened the book
before Hawk eye and the Mohicans tried to capture Magua. And there is a lot of adventure while there
is only a little bit of the other genres. If one was to look up the Adventure genre they would find that
this book definitely classifies under that genre, but not as much the other ones. This book should
undoubtedly be labeled under the adventure

Children with Learning Disabilities Essay
Children with Learning Disabilities Do you know anyone who suffers from a learning disability?
There are several disabilities out there, so chances are you must know someone who battles with the
day to day hassles. But, are learning disabilities really a hassle? More often than not, this can be
considered a misconception. Learning disabilities (LD) affect the way a person of at least average
intelligence receives, stores, and processes information (NCLD 2001). This neurological disorder
prevents children especially from being able to perform well academically. Therefore more time and
special programs are fostered to them. Once one is educated about what the disability means, the
causes of LD, what programs are available to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Understanding a foreign language is also not one of their strong points. A child with a learning
disability does not perform well on tests, especially when they are timed, often refuses to do written
work, and has trouble decoding words. This usually means that they have trouble hearing and
understanding a person s directions since they cannot decode the message properly. (Silverman) Of the
three previously mentioned diseases, Dyslexia impairs a person s ability to read, write, and spell
(NINDS 2003). Although they are of normal intelligence, their reading level is below average. They
will usually have trouble with phonological processing (the manipulation of sounds) and/or rapid
visual verbal responding. (NINDS 2003). Children with dyslexia complain they cannot read their
textbooks, do not have enough time to finish tests, cannot take notes, and are unable to read their own
handwriting (GVSU 2000). Dyslexia does not affect every person the same way, and signs of the
disorder may not be prevalent until later, when grammar and more in depth writing skills are
introduced. Dyslexia can also create a difficulty in processing vocabulary and thoughts correctly when
speaking, and understanding what one says when they are spoken to. Dysgraphia is another
neurological disorder that focuses on writing. When a child with this disorder is first introduced to
writing, they will make unnecessary spaces between their letters, and some letters will be

Eastern Woodland Cultures
1. The wood carving of the Native Americans reveals more about Europeans than Indians in that it
shows how the Europeans saw the Indians. It discloses the main fears that they had of the Natives, and
also depicts how intrigued they were with Indian life. The view of the European boats in the
background conveys that they were prepared to take over. 2. The Eastern Woodland Cultures are a
tame group of Indians in the Northeast region who seasonally hunted and gathered, also cultivating
plants. These tribes were more domesticated, while women collected crops like maize and mean
hunted or fished (Brands 7). 3. Jamestown almost failed in the beginning because the English settlers
were not prepared for colonization. Many were nobleman who were

Critical Analysis of The Lottery
The Lottery, written by Shirley Jackson takes place on the twenty seventh of June in a small town in
the United States. The beginning of the story starts off talking about the local children gathering
around and the town square where the lottery is held. At the square, the little boys begin to gather
stones from small to large ones and pile them up. The next people to show up at the village square are
the husbands as they are discussing daily life amongst each other, then finally, the wives begin the
arrive as they talk all about the towns biggest gossips. Unlike other towns that participate in the
lottery, where it can take a couple of days to complete, this small town can do it in just a couple of
hours due to the small population consisting of about three hundred people. One of the big discussions
at the lottery on this day was that other towns were getting rid of the lottery. There is one man, Old
Man Warner, the town elder is disgusted of the thought of ending the lottery. He has been around for
the lottery since he was a child. The black box that the paper is drawn from is a very significant item
to the lottery. The current black box is thought to be made from parts of the original black box. One by
one each male head of the household (or woman if there was no man to take her place) walked up to
the box in alphabetical order and drew a slip of paper from the box. They were asked to keep it folded
in the palms of their hands without looking. When every family had a

Sunny Baudelaire Characters
When reading the very long series, A Series of Unfortunate Events, I have found that there are
multiple characters that peak my interests when reading and are very rememberable. From a woman
who only likes things that are in , to a dastardly Count, and to the news reporter that ruins the main
trio s lives. But I have found that my favorite character is one of the three main characters, Sunny
Baudelaire. I feel like she is a very fun character, and that one of her new hobbies is something I can
relate to. Sunny Baudelaire originally starts off, as a helpless baby who no one can understand except
her siblings and a knack for biting things with her sharp teeth. But as the series goes on, especially in
The Hostile Hospital and The Slippery Slope, poor Sunny matures very quickly because of all the
horrible events that have occurred in her life because of the notorious Count Olaf. In the tenth book,
The Slippery Slope, after concocting a plan to find the mysterious Sugar Bowl, Sunny tells her sister
Violet that, I m not... I m not a baby (Snicket 10 ). It also can be seen through the way she speaks.
Sunny is known for her baby talk which is only understandable by her siblings. In The Bad Beginning,
Sunny says things like, Gack! over and over, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the very first book, the main antagonist is established, the greedy Count Olaf, who tries to find
many elaborate ways to steal the massive Baudelaire fortune. They are then moved from home to
home, their first two guardians are murdered by the evil Count and his many associates. The Series
begins to get darker and darker, like the elevator shaft in The Ersatz Elevator, their new guardians
providing no care for them, and even though they make friends they are quickly taken away out of
their lives and the Baudelaires are left alone once

Timothy Findley s The Wars
Timothy Findley s The Wars portrays the effects of war on soldiers in battle, as well as the members of
family and friends that suffer from loss and insanity. As each character over the progression of the
story is exposed to change, the character s ability to adapt has a significant correlation with their
survival, those that can quickly adapt to survive can manage to get by. Soldiers must be able to
suppress the extreme stress on the battlefield. Those that cannot overcome these challenges do not
survive in war. Murder is quickly pushed out of a soldiers mind, killing others in effort to protect their
own life or the life of others around them. Findley demonstrates how war can negatively alter a person
s behaviour. This is seen through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ross s seclusion from the rest of her family. Findley writes, All she wanted was to sit in the corner of
the room and watch the door for Robert s return (Findley 69). Findley depicts the effects on everyone
in society, such as how a parent loses their child to war, and how society conforms to the changes of
war.
War is constant in human history. War is a continually reoccurring conflict over time. It spans different
locations over varying different circumstances, whereas the effects of war remain the same. Insanity,
madness, loss of innocence, seclusion, anguish, violence, and decreasing mental health are all by
products of war. Findley accurately depicts these cases through the use of his many characters. Robert
s exposure to violence leaves him in a fragile state. His behaviour can be seen as increasingly violent
and shows his decreasing mental health. This declining mental health may be due to his lack of sleep.
Sleep was dangerous. No matter what your mind said, your body doesn t listen. Part of you always
stayed awake. Nobody dreams on a battlefield. There isn t any sleep that long (Findley 93).
Highlighted throughout many examples, Robert portrays symptoms of what is known today as Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder. Findley states, His temper, you know, was terrible. Once when he thought
he was alone and unobserved I saw him firing his gun in the woods at a young tree. Other times he
would throw things or break them on the

The Importance Of Online Advertising
For years, advertising agencies have been hard pressed to develop a method of communication that
online users would engage with. The most common of these approaches, banner advertisements, and
online commercials, are usually met with disdain and a lack of engagement. It is the tendency for
these approaches to be intrusive in design that causes consumers to actively and subconsciously
disconnect. Meanwhile native advertising, content developed and funded by brands, solves this issue.
By providing content, and being non intrusive in design, native advertising has been met with
positivity by online users. With current methods of online advertising being considered too intrusive,
agencies should concentrate on using native advertising, as it is effective at prompting online users to
engage with the brand content.
Due to the commonality of intrusive online ads, users avoid engaging with them either actively or
subconsciously. As of 2016 PageFair, a company specializing in tracking Adblock found that 11% of
the global internet population and 14% of the American online population use Adblock (Cortland).
Even if uses don t go as far as employing Adblock software, they still will actively try and not engage
with ads. Despite growth in use and revenue, online commercials usually see 59% of millennials opt
for skipping (Gallagher) This avoidance behavior is not just conscious but also subconscious among
users. Via eye tracking studies, it was found that areas traditionally home to

An Analysis Of The Socialist Alternative
Quintessentially, we need to join all forces socialists, liberals, deep greens, trade unionists, feminists,
indigenous activists (Angus, p. 221) everyone who is willing to demand decisive actions to stop
greenhouse gas emissions protecting nature and ecological balance. The ecological emergency is a
great challenge for the renewal of a revised Marxists thought and a break from the ideology of linear
progress. Moreover, we need to translate the innate human solidarity that happens in natural disasters
or war time, Angus gives very good examples in merit referring to Hurricane Katrina, (Angus, p.193),
in everyday life, building a human solidarian society that performs beyond self interest, as Michael
Lebowitz describes in The socialist Alternative (Angus, p. 193). The main problem is that we are
running against time and sectarian isolation of movements. (Angus, p.195) What are the goals of an

A Rhetorical Analysis Of The Text
Dear Subaru: A Personal Letter to Subaru This ad from the magazine Backpacker shows off a letter
from a Subaru owner, along with a photo of a Subaru Outback on a snowy road labelled OUTBACK
RD . All the elements in this ad help to promote three iconic ideas about Subaru and the cars that they
make. The trees are heavily weighed down with snow as if a huge blizzard has passed through the
area. The ground and road are also covered with several feet of snow. This suggests to the viewer that
the Subaru Outback performs very well in the snow and on extreme terrains in general. Secondly the
whole ad is dominated by giant pine trees and forest. The tops of the trees are not even visible. This
suggests that someone who owns a Subaru Outback also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They also try to express the love that owners have for their cars by exhibiting a personal letter from a
dear customer. It is an important detail that the owner wrote this letter and not a just a Subaru
employee in charge of advertisement. It shows that the customers actually love their cars enough to
write a letter and send a photo. In the letter the woman says she is on her sixth Subaru vehicle. She
loves the cars so much that she has exclusively bought them for a long time. The woman in the letter
then goes on to say that she named the road that enters her property OUTBACK RD after her new car.
Someone has to really love their car to name a road after it. Everyone who passes by knows that they
are a proud owner of a Subaru Outback. Then she explains that the sign was so popular it had already
been stolen. This suggests that there is a vast community of people that love Subaru Outbacks. Even in
a seemingly remote and rural area there are people who want to steal her sign. She then ends the letter
with a P.S. that says Love. It s what makes a Subaru, a Subaru. . This is the iconic phrase of Subaru
that concludes all of their advertisements. The ad is then drawn to a close with an open handed
invitation to other Subaru owners to share their own stories. This makes it feel like Subaru really cares
about how their customers feel about their cars and want to hear from them. This is a

Hillary s political conspiracy revolves are the pizzagate, better known as her coded emails. Her emails
are said to be suggesting her involvement in Satanic rituals and pedophilia. Trump has a long list of
conspiracies that are revolved around almost every word he has to say in every tweet and every
interview he does. The most well known conspiracy is revolved around his medical history. Sources
say that he had paid his doctor to say that he was healthy. Other physicians have said that he is close to
being obese and has been possibly diagnosed with heart disease. He is said to critique Hillary s health,
but he was later critiqued himself. The doctor that did his physical said he was put under pressure by
Trump, and said that Trump made him hide the fact that he had been taking a hair loss drug, known as
Propecia. Another political conspiracy revolves around the New World Order. New World Order
seems to include problems with the existence with a global government run by the illuminati. The
conspiracy theory also revolves around the United Nations, International Monetary Fund, the World
Bank, and other international problems with the United States. The New World Order was said to be
really pressured during Bush s presidency. The New World Order has many other connections, but not
all of them can be proven as much as many of the other connections. The New World Order is said to

the theory advanced greatly after the Cold War, and caused global political and economic affairs. The
theory is applied to any significant events that change the world

The Theology Of Kneeling Analysis
A Knelt History Historically speaking, our society has manifested and expressed itself through
controversial gestures and acts, which surfaced as a representation of particular religious, political or
social beliefs. In fact, some may recall the impact and symbolism associated with the Nazis salute
leading to the Second World War, or even Tommie Smith s protest during the 1968 Olympic games,
whom raised his closed fist to increase awareness against racial discrimination. Undeniably, every

The very faithful Indian practice consists of very involved puja involving prostration and meditation.
Open to any belief in a God, Hindus can be monotheistic, polytheistic, agnostic, etc. Unlike
Christianity, Hinduism does not consist of worshiping a supreme God nor do they have a holy book.
As matter of fact, it follows four main goals and beliefs, which address both ethical and personal
practices in a more philosophical than theological way. The four main practices consist of goals that
deal with the personal journey toward liberation; those golas are Dharma (ethics/duties), Kama
(desires/passion), Artha (prosperity/work), and Moksha, which has in its main objective the ideas of
liberation, freedom, and salvation via reincarnation. In order to reach Moksha, Hindus believe they

  • 2. Jimmy Valentine Identity Have you ever thought of starting a new life? A new identity, no one could judge you based on your past. This is what Jimmy Valentine attempted to do when he took on the identity of Ralph D. Spencer. Jimmy had a questionable past, and knew he wouldn t have anyone s respect given his reputation. He was out of jail and the window was wide open for him to start completely over. Jimmy Valentine was dedicated to living a moral life because he got a new job, he tried to detach himself from his past, and his actions towards others changed. The first step of becoming Ralph Spencer was a new job. This meant kicking the old habits that came with this previous job. He hadn t done anything illegal in a year. His most well known crime was cracking safes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Multiple times throughout the story it was mentioned that jimmy carried his briefcase everywhere. His briefcase contained an expensive set of tools that he used for cracking safes. He may of keeped his tools for because he still used them, bet he could have well carried them because he was afraid of them being stolen and him losing the money spent in them or so his future wife wouldn t accidentally open it and find out something she wasn t supposed to know. Not only did he carry his briefcase every where, but he remembered how to do everything. He opened up the safe quickly with no problem at all. If anything, this ended up benefiting everyone. Who knows what could ve happened had Jimmy not been able to open the safe. He will also carry his gigantic criminal record with him forever. It s true that you can t erase something off your permanent record. What you can do is try to change your image and not get in trouble anymore. While some may attempt to make the argument that Jimmy did not attempt to live a moral life, it is clear that this is not true for many reasons. Jimmy Valentine lived a moral life by getting a new job, he separated himself from his past, and he got a better attitude. Jimmy Valentine had a successful attempt to create a new life. • 3. Human Genetics And Molecular Mechanisms Having a childhood friend with an abnormal genetic condition had a significant impact in my life at a very early stage. As a child, I was puzzled with questions about him being different than rest of the children. It was only during my middle and high school that I learnt about genetics and started embracing the concept of DNA and the mutations associated with genes which could lead to abnormal genetic conditions. This little exposure to genetics helped me in understanding why my friend was different from rest of us and motivated me to further pursue my interest in biological sciences. To learn more about human genetics and molecular mechanisms involved in the various genetic disorders, I decided to pursue a comprehensive undergraduate course at Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University, (Raipur, India). My undergraduate studies gave me an opportunity to learn a wide variety of concepts in human genetics along with chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and biotechnology. As part of my curriculum, I worked for a summer research project involved with Human Cytogenetics in Genetech which is India s one of the leading genetic testing laboratory based in Hyderabad. This gave me a hands on training in handling patients sample and performing karyotyping on the same. During this program, I also got an opportunity to participate in a few genetic counselling sessions which not only made me aware of radical approach the counsellors follow to help the families in understanding the ... Telescreens and hidden microphones are just a couple of examples of 1984 s controlling technology. The ideas depicted by author George Orwell s dystopian society are becoming more real every day. Telescreens were literally and thematically the biggest piece of surveillance technology in 1984. They were large screens that took in as much information as they put out. Great Expectations is a Bildungsroman and follows the progression of Pip from child to adult; from humble blacksmith to gentleman; from innocence to experience; from rags to riches and on his journey, Pip meets a range of interesting characters, from the comical Wemmick, to the cruel Estella. This novel reflects parts of Victorian times, with class divide, child labour and improving one s fortunes. Dickens wrote to entertain the public and the public got a say in how the novel progressed due to the fact that Dickens wrote in monthly instalments in a magazine called Household Words . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He has a great iron on his leg which shows us this character is a convict and that he may be dangerous. The fact that Magwitch is soaked in water, smothered in mud, lamed by stones, cut by flints and stung by nettles makes us have pity for Magwitch and makes us ask questions such as why is Magwitch here? This creates conflicting emotions within the reader. Dickens also uses characters speech to make them striking and memorable for the reader. We actually hear Magwitch before we see him and his first words are hold your noise! This immediately shocks us as well as Pip and the use of the imperative verb gives Magwitch authority. This is then added to with a threat, keep still you little devil or I ll cut your throat This order again shocks the reader and we don t like the idea of a grown man threatening a young child. We fear for Pip s safety and we ask questions such as: Why is this man threatening Pip? And what does he want with Pip? The background that a character appears on also affects the way a reader reacts to the character and can help to build an impression. The more unusual or impressive the background, the more we remember it and the characters that appeared on it. Magwitch is presented against a dark, bleak background, with red and black lines ... • 9. Causes Of The Indian Mutiny The Indian Mutiny, also known as the Indian Revolt, was a war between the Indians and the British. Basically the war was due to the prolonged British occupation over the land of the Indians. The war was the first war that the Indians fought over their independence and the Sepoy Mutiny. The British launched their presence in India during the 17th century. This was at the part time of the Mogul empire. At this period of time, the territory of Bombay had just been acquired by the East India Company which had over the years expanded its territory. The company had a strong army which eventually took out the French after the Battle of Plassey, 1757, hundred years earlier. The army of the Indian soldiers was compromised of British soldiers who acted as the commanders. They were called sepoys. This war was propelled by several causes and eventually resulted to several consequences. We shall start by looking into the causes. These causes were mainly as a result of the policy of westernization. Introduction of the British Doctrine of Lapse This was basically a doctrine that placed rules on inheritance of power and land. It offered permission to the British empire allowing them to be able to expand their empirical domain. This expansion was supposed to be carried out at the expense of the Indian Princes. It was by forbidding persons who were not natural heirs from inheriting any state. The policy was also extended to princely titles and pensions. States that eventually lapsed into ... • 10. Gap Year Is The Right Choice Gap Year Is The Right Choice People these days should take the gap year because it lets them have the time to find out the person that they want to be in life. Today most students are taking the path of having a gap year because they are very stressed throughout high school and just need a break from school for a little while. Some students have no motivation or clue what they want to do in college so by having this gap year it gives them the time to explore and find out what interest them. This will give them a better idea of what they want to major in and eventually have a job in as well. Some would say that going to college right after high school could make life a lot less problematic; however, students should choose to take a gap year to have the most favorable outcomes after high school. The students who take a gap year may never attend college, but some of the colleges recommend to the students that they should take a gap year. A lot of parents are worried if their child decides they are going to take a gap year that they will find the time off really fun and they will find other interest and they never want to attend college. In today s society more of the colleges across the United States are actually saying to the students that they should take a gap year so they can become more mature and ready for their college experience. The analysis revolves around the following areas: nature of research, summary, critique, personnel, future practice, and future research. A. Nature of Research The first article, Predictors of Assessment Accommodations Use for Students Who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing by Cawthon WurtzBest (2010), is a regression study aimed to explore whether student characteristics, teacher perspectives, and contextual factors predict accommodations use with students who are deaf or hard of hearing (Cawthon WurtzBest, 2010). The article is very relevant to special education assessment because it discussed implications for assessment policies and practices with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, particularly during an era of accountability reform (NCLB accountability). • 12. Bar Codes How Much Do Your Mistakes Cost? Brittney Roper, R.N. Southwestern Oklahoma State University Introduction Proper patient identification in hospitals has been an issue for many years, especially when it comes to blood specimen collection. Laboratory specimens being mislabeled are a everyday cause of harm to patients including repeat diagnostic procedures; repeat phlebotomy; delays in necessary surgical procedures; a performing unnecessary surgical procedures (Dunn and Moga, 2010). This is not only costly, but it is very stressing to patients and medical staff. The biggest concern is the possibility of making a fatal error when it comes to specimen collection. Without proper patient identification this risk increases substantially. Wallin, Sodberg, Van Guelpen, Stenlund, Grankvist, and Brulin (2009) state that critical errors in patient identification for blood testing occurs in up to one per 1000 specimens or procedures and misidentified specimens cause 160,000 adverse events every year in America. Bar coding has been introduced into many hospitals in the last several years. Using bar codes on patients ID bracelets and labels for specimens has been the normal practice for Saint Francis Hospital for some time. However, the labels aren t used as well as they should be to prevent errors in patient care. According to Wickham, Miedema, Gamerdinger, and DeGooyer (2006), implementing the use of bar codes for patient identification will prevent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. The Effects Of Ddt On The Environment The purpose of the project is to determine whether or not a rise in Dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene (DDE) concentrations over time will correlate to a decrease in Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) concentrations. The motivation for the project was to see if the use of DDT and DDE has any negative affects on the environment, and if so how bad is the affects? This topic was chosen because DDT use was a major environmental issue and is still considered a problem today. It s important to recognize the long lasting affects that pesticides have on an ecosystem. The pesticide DDT was first utilized in 1939 when a Swiss chemist, Paul Hermann Muller revealed the effectiveness of the 1st modern synthetic insecticide. In 1945, farmers gained access to DDT to use as an agricultural insecticide; it was also widely used in homes and institutions for insect control. Years later in 1969, DDTs safety concern grew. Following an investigation conducted by John F. Kennedy s team of scientists, it was recommended that persistent toxic pesticides , including DDT, become phased out. In 1971, the U.S. District Court of Appeals ordered the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to ban DDT; in 1972 3 DDT the ban became effective. As of today, even though DDT has been banned for 20+ years, DDT/DDE can still be found in the environment. • 16. In The Cask Of Amontillado, The Raven, And Annabel Lee The unity of effect is all the elements in a story that channels the effect the author wants the audience to experience. Therefore, to achieve the unity of effect in the Cask of Amontillado, The Raven, and Annabel Lee, Poe used the elements of setting, alliteration, and unreliable narrator to help elicit the unsettling mood in the audience. For the sake of the unity of effect , Poe uses setting for the purpose of conceiving a sinister mood. As Montresor and Fortunato walked deeper into the catacombs in the Cask of Amontillado, Montresor points out the trickling of the water on the bones. We are below the river s bed. The drops of moisture trickle among the bones. (Cask)The setting is under the surface of the earth, so the audience associates it with with Hell because of the bones that lie around. The bones also make the audience feel that the setting is eery and dangerous because it reminds them of death. This only makes isolation and danger prominent factors in the setting. The mood becomes unpredictable and treacherous, with a sense of fear and dread knowing that something bad will happen to the characters who are away from safety. Under those circumstances, Poe controlled the audience s fear and the diabolical mood using the dark setting. Once again Poe uses the unity of effect to elicit this tense mood and draw out terror in the audience. In The Raven, Poe used alliteration with the intention to build a suspenseful mood and dread in the audience. The narrator of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As a part of the Holy Cross family, we need to take every opportunity to help each other. This helping is also known as the service program in St. Francis High School. In the summer of 2013, I took an opportunity to experience the understanding of Holy Cross and Catholic. I joined the vacation bible camp and taught kids what is catholic or what we should do as a catholic. Those moments of my service program are indelible in my mind. On the third day of my service at the vacation bible camp as a teen leader, there was a six year old kid came and asked me a question after the mass. He asked me, Is God really going to hear my prayer? I was surprised a small kid asking me a question that probably no kids of his age would ask. I was thinking for a moment and trying to think how I should answer him. I gave him positive answer which is Yes . The kid is confused for a moment and then asked, Are you sure? I know the kid was not expecting the answer Yes again, so I gave him another answer. I told him told every prayer will be heard by God, but God would choose the best plan for you even though the plan is not always what we want. After I answered, he ran away with some other kids and started playing. I believed I did a good job answering that question. I taught a catholic kid a deeper part of Catholic Christian. When you hear the word passion, the first thing that might come to your mind is something related to love, and you re not entirely wrong. According to Merriam Webster s dictionary, passion is defined as a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something or a strong feeling (such as anger) that causes you to act in a dangerous way. All in all, it is a strong feeling, be it happiness, sadness, anger or liberality. You can be passionate about many things such as love, sports, food, or intimacy. However, it can also mean having a strong yearning for something. Vindication of the Rights for Women by Mary Wollstonecraft was published in 1792, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Throughout her manifesto, Wollstonecraft points out that if women were only taught to please men on a daily basis, men would grow tired causing the women to cheat. She also points out renowned writers such as Jean Jacques Rousseau. Ten years before this, Jean Jacques Rousseau had published his tell all called Confessions. This was during the Romanticism period, a period where there was rejection of rationality and reason while in favor of feelings. There was more emphasis on subjectivity, the way the individual perceives their experience. From reading Vindication, you understand why Wollstonecraft wrote this. She claims that Rousseau s view towards women were very double standard. He states that Women are smaller compared to men, both in their physical frame and mental frame. So because of that, they should all be submissive towards men. Thus, the prejudice of women being the weak and sensitive sex prevails. Both men and women, live their lives believing that women are weak minded. At an early age society teaches that a woman s mind is weaker than a man s mind, justifying it with the fact that a woman s body is weaker than that of a man s. This conclusion seems fully plausible, however if investigated further, one will find that that is not the case. A woman s mind is as fully capable of reason as a man s mind. Wollstonecraft had two options to pick from. Either start a revolution in regards to women rights and allowing them to be equal or to skillfully inject the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is good that the most vicious crimes are at a minimum, but the number per capita needs to be emphasized, (per 100,000). Out of the 25 different districts in Chicago, each one has its own statistics and reports on the crimes that happen in their area. Their city wide crime stats just reinforce the high in theft and burglary and the low in murder and sex related crimes. With reference to their rates being a rollercoaster, between 2013 and 2017, murder crimes raised nearly 58% within those four years and 41% for rape and sex related crimes. On the other hand, theft and burglary actually went down by 27%. Even though there s more of that than anything else, it is still reducing and that is something to acknowledge. In total, all crimes thrown together for a city wide rate is reducing by 8%. This means that their criminal behavior is going lower in most areas, but not enough. Though people believe statistics when they come from a valid source, it is hard to precisely measure the decrease and increase of crimes in a city. By taking on community leadership roles, individuals give back to the community and gain valuable experience that will serve them well in the workplace. In my own experience, I led the Chantilly Youth Association Pee Wee Soccer program for three years. In this capacity, I created schedules, reserved fields and gyms, ordered uniforms, arranged for the training of officials, collected money, and created teams for over 500 young children. I had a vision for the program and helped it grow. While Pee Wee Soccer is not rooted in a faith filled tradition, faith based leadership skills apply. Running such a large program affords the opportunity to teach as Jesus did, at least with respect to community and service, and gain valuable insight into organizational behavior. Perhaps the most essential lesson learned is that to be successful, it is important to consider the needs of everyone involved, and not merely the needs of a few. Catholic School Leadership The skills gained through Pee Wee Soccer prepared me well for the leadership roles I undertook in my early years as a Catholic school teacher. If one were to look up adventure genre, the would find that most of the book identifies under that category. So if one asked what genre this book was many would say adventure. The last of the Mohicans unequivocally has a lot of adventure in it. In one of the first chapters, the readers are introduced to an Indian who was posing as a guide for white men. When the crew ran into Hawk eye and the Mohicans, Hawk eye quickly informed them that their guide was going to lead them straight into an ambush. They tried to kill the guide, but he managed to get away. Hawk eye knew that immediately after the Indian returned to his tribe the tribe would start hunting down the new crew. • 28. The Importance Of Online Advertising For years, advertising agencies have been hard pressed to develop a method of communication that online users would engage with. The most common of these approaches, banner advertisements, and online commercials, are usually met with disdain and a lack of engagement. It is the tendency for these approaches to be intrusive in design that causes consumers to actively and subconsciously disconnect. Meanwhile native advertising, content developed and funded by brands, solves this issue. By providing content, and being non intrusive in design, native advertising has been met with positivity by online users. With current methods of online advertising being considered too intrusive, agencies should concentrate on using native advertising, as it is effective at prompting online users to engage with the brand content.
