Essay on The Rise of the Nazi Party
The Rise of the Nazi Party
Hitler s rise to power was the result of many factors, but Hitler s ability to take advantage of Germany
s poor leadership and economical and political conditions was the most significant factor. His ability
to manipulate the media and the German public whilst taking advantage of Germany s poor leadership
resulted in both the collapse of the Weimar Republic and the rise of Hitler and the nazi party. During
the early 1920s, Germany was struggling with economic instability and political uncertainty.
Germany, after being defeated in the Great War, was forced to sign the unforgiving treaty of Versailles,
which the Weimar Republic was held responsible for. This brought forward feelings of fear, anger and

During the hardship of the 1920s and1930s, political incompetence was highlighted, the Weimar
Government proved its incompetence time and time again. .The instability of the Weimar Republic
was so great that the average life span of Reich cabinets was from 6 7 months. Their incapability of
providing justice to outbreaks of violence, such as political assassinations is one example of the
incompetence of the Weimar Republic. When Germany found its self in undesirable economical
situations due to the Treaty of Versalles, they printed money to pay off reparations, which resulted in
super inflation. During the period of super inflation people s life savings became worthless which
contributed to the downward circle of a reduction in standard of living. As unemployment rose and
people began to afford less and less with their money, people commenced searching for a better
alternative to the Weimar Government. Hitler s ability to build upon these feelings whilst offering
security, prosperity and full employment, convinced Germany, in a state of disillusionment, to support
the nazi party. The Weimar s instability contributed to the collapse of the Weimar republic provided
perfect conditions for the nazi party to rise to power.
With incompetent leadership and an unhappy nation, the German people began to realize that their
country was in a vulnerable situation and began to look for stable alternatives to democracy. Hitler s

Socio- Cultural Issue and Education
Final Paper
Socio Cultural issue and education
Education gives us knowledge of the world around us. Education is not only about what we learn in
our textbook as students but about the lessons we learn from those text books. It helps students
develop a perspective on how to look at life. Education is the basic foundation for every one. It is
instrumental in the development of our values and virtues. The future of our nation is safe in the hands
of educated individuals, which is why they say our children are our future . Education is attached to
everything that happens in this nation. In schools, students are taught languages, mathematics, science,
history and a number of other subjects. They get to participate in sports ... Show more content on

This puts them at a disadvantage, when compared to the students who go to some good private
schools. It s sad to have to put it that way but it s the truth. The socioeconomic status of the parent has
a lot to do with this. APA states Low SES and its correlates, such as lower education, poverty, and
poor health, ultimately affect our society as a whole, in particular, America s children. Children in the
United States face one of the highest rates of poverty within the industrialized world. If a parent
spends hours at work to make ends meet then that takes away from parent involvement in home
assignments. The parents also influence on the attitude the child brings to school and how important
school is to the student. The values of school start at home, if a parent doesn t believe that school is
important factor in an adult s life then that rubs off on the student, they carry that same attitude about
school.
Economic hardships manifest a number of challenges. From having a stable home, basic needs to
medical care, all these things create challenges for students and teachers as well. This goes to show
how easily students who come from poverty have a higher chance of not finishing school and facing
many obstacles while in school making it so much more difficult for them.
Since students have become much more

New Way to Spend a Holiday
An experience in life that forces you to grow up and to take on responsibility, can only be rewarding

Tudor Rebellion Causes
The influence of political factors and change cannot be ignored when weighing up the most significant
cause of rebellion throughout the Tudor period. Both in England and Ireland, political unrest was
common among all of the Tudor Monarchs meaning it was a consistent factor in all rebellions across
the era. The main problems came from self serving greed, with plans to overthrow the Monarchs in
order to position someone who would be in their favour or get rid of corrupt advisors in order to attain
more political influence.
Rebel leaders believed that if current royal advisors were removed successfully it would improve the
government as they would be replaced with improved and wiser individuals and stop the negative
influence on the Monarch. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It emphasised the part political greed placed on individuals sparking rebellion as a last ditch attempt
by those who were out of favour at court to restore their political fortunes by seizing on the
discontents and puzzlements of others . The Earl of Essex had gained a good reputation and worked
his way up to be Elizabeth s favourite courtier. However, he was short of money and so attempted to
rule the court and oppose his rival Cecil which caused the Queen to turn against him. On one occasion
during a heated Privy Council debate on the problems in Ireland, the Queen reportedly cuffed an
insolent Essex round the ear, prompting him to half draw his sword on her . The incident meant Essex
felt he had been publically shamed and was sent from court consequently losing all his influence at
court. Political factions were central to the cause of this revolt as the Earl resented the influence that
Robert Cecil had at court and thought by showing force in the form of a rebellion would lead the
Queen to readmit him to court and to her favour. The Essex rebellion is very significant in showing
how the corruption of the patronage system by Essex, and the dominance of Cecil, continued to affect
politics after the Tudor period had ended into James I reign where political instability let to the
Catholic dominated Main, Bye and Gunpowder plots. This underpins the argument that

Anterograde Amnesia Research Paper
Anterograde Amnesia is the inability to store new information after the brain damage has occurred.
(Luke Mastin 2010). Anterograde Amnesia is very rare, in fact there have a few cases where the
amnesia was pure . The symptoms and hardship of the person depend on the cause for the memory
loss. Some symptoms of Anterograde Amnesia are partial memory loss, having a hard time
recognizing relatives or family, feeling of confusion, difficulty taking in new information, inability to
remember familiar places, and difficulty in learning and remembering new things.(PHC Editorial

This movie accurately shows us that Dory has Anterograde Amnesia. One specific scene where this
disorder is displayed is in the beginning when Dory s parents are telling her what to say when she
meets someone ( I suffer from short term memory loss). After this the parents act as if they are random
people and start playing hide and seek. When the parents tell her to count to 10, she counts up to 3 and
forgets what they are doing. She then wanders off to a group of fish and their parents immediately
chase after her. This scene accurately displays Anterograde Amnesia since it shows us that Dory is
unable to remember what is going on and then wanders off elsewhere. Another scene where the
disorder is displayed is when Dory can t remember where her parents are as a result of accidentally
losing them and then Dory asks a couple of fishes that she needs help finding them, but forgets what
she said and repeats the same thing again. This shows that Dory s short term memory loss or
Anterograde Amnesia causes her to forget where her parents are and even makes herself look
awkward when repeating a question that she already asked. A third example of Dory displaying that
she has Anterograde Amnesia is when she is sleeping and then gets up to ask one of her friends a
question but is said to go back to bed. When she goes back to bed she decides to go ask a question not
knowing she already said it

Aristole s View on Drama
Preamble
Drama is an aspect of literature represented in performances and has been a part of the world for many
decades. Drama originated in classical Greece around the fifth century B.C. The earliest performances
took place in amphitheaters, which the Greeks invented to incorporate plays in their religious and
civic festivals. These Greek festivals were huge theatrical events filled with three days of drama. The
structure of the amphitheater allowed for an audience of thousands to observe the theatrics and watch
as the actors vie to win the drama competition. In addition, ancient Greek theater used dramas to relay
moral and political messages to their communities.
There are two different categories of drama: comedy and tragedy. Greek ... Show more content on

Shakespeare is said to have shaped the beginnings of modern day culture through his tragic plays by
introducing man as the tragic hero rather than the Gods. Although both Miller and Shakespeare have
modified the classic Greek tragedies in this manner they still fulfill Aristotle s definition of tragedy in
many ways.
Aristotle Vs Othello and Death of a Salesman Shakespeare s protagonist, Othello and Miller s
protagonist, Willy Lowman are both considered the tragic heroes in the play. Othello is a moor and a
general in Venetian army. He is experienced in battle and valued by the people. Since he is this well
respected military leader, the people listened and cared about what he had to say. One instance of his
high regard can be seen when one of the senators said, Here comes Barbantio and the valiant Moor ,
(Act I scene 3). With Othello overcoming racist Venice and managing to gain this high status in the
community, Aristotle s first requirement for a tragic hero is fulfilled. However, many would argue that
in Millers play, Willy Lowman s character stretches the definition of a tragic hero. Since Willy
Lowman was a mere salesman struggling to seize the American dream he would definitely not be
considered a man of high status. Although Willy Lowman did hold one honorable position and that
was head of the household. This is illustrated during a conversation that Willy s wife Linda has with
their son Biff. Linda Says No. You can t

The Journey Of Sally Ride
Sally Ride accomplished many things in her lifetime. Some of the most important being a part of the
first group of women introduced into NASA and inspiring children in science. Her accomplishments
in life made her a very honorable individual. Ride faced a variety of obstacles as she helped break the
barrier of women being introduced into NASA. Ride later became a professor at University of
California San Diego, and established her own company, Sally Ride Science, whose purpose was to
encourage young women to seek careers in science, math, and technology. Sally Ride was an
inspiration to woman and an active advocate for women to pursue and learn the importance of science,
math, and technology. Ride was launched into space on June 18th, 1983. She was not only the first
American woman but also the youngest astronaut in space. She went through a long process to be
accepted by NASA. She was up against thousands of other women who had also applied for the space
program. During her NASA career, she was launched into space two times. On her journey into space
for the first time Ride worked the robotic arm which helped place satellites in space, assisted the
commander during ascent, re entry, landing, and acting as flight engineer. Not only did Ride battle
stereotypes throughout her time at NASA, but she kept her personal life very quiet. She was involved
with Tam O Shaughnessy, although this was unknown until her death. Ride died of pancreatic cancer
in 2012 at only the age of 61.

Mordred didn t want to love him. No, he wanted to hate the bright young king with the warm smile

tried to find some cause for animosity. Arthur had persecuted his kind... perhaps not as much as his
father had, but he had also forced people with magic to live in secrecy and fear. He hadn t lifted the

to cause any harm through his actions. That should be enough... shouldn t it? And yet another voice, a

How Our Gender is Imposed on Us Essay
How Our Gender is Imposed on Us
What makes us who we are? Is it the clothes we wear or the toys we played with while we were
children? Maybe? Or maybe it s the people and the environment we grew up around? Most people
would say that all these characterists would be true, and I d agree. But if you really think hard about
what makes you, YOU, then you d realize that there is so much more than what meets the eye. Let s
take a look into my life to see what made me the masculine person I am today. I can remember back to
when I was about five or six years old. Outside playing in the dirt in the front lawn of our house. My
pants would have holes in the knees; I d be surrounded by toys like cars, trucks, and little action

This, in my belief relates back to the male instinct. How men long time ago would go hunt and gather
their food out in the woods or where ever they could find it. Not that I m hunting, but it s the
adventurous instinct I m after.
I used to get into a lot of trouble while I was young. I got hit with a belt quit a bit. One time I did
something and lied about it to my father, and he asked me a question; he said, well you can either
stand in the corner or you can take it like a man and get the belt. So I decided to take the belt. I m not
really sure why, I guess I thought that it would ve looked better on my part. It was a way of showing
that I could take it like a man and hold everything back. I ve always hidden my emotions. I think I was
always somehow encouraged not to show any emotions. It s like my parents were subtlety telling me
to not show any emotions, because that s what guys do they show no emotion.
While I was in elementary school, I can picture all the events the boys would do at recess. Most of us
would get together and make up teams to play kickball or football. It was either that or play on the
monkey bars or something like that. While the boys were doing those activities, you could always find
the girls huddled around the benches, sitting on the swings, or going down the slide. It s like there was
this international divide. All the boys did the rough and dirty events at recess while girls did things so
that they wouldn t sweat or get

Cuckoo s Nest Figurative Language
Throughout Ken Kesey s, One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest, the creation of character constructs and
application of textual techniques demonstrates how the status quo is challenged. Kesey effectively
reinforces this idea through the employment of a collection of stylistic techniques. Kesey implements
diverse literary techniques to establish how the status quo is introduced, challenged, and how it
ultimately withstands the rebellion. Kesey uses figurative language to illustrate the idea of the status
quo. Kesey effectively employs the schizophrenic narration of Chief Bromden to demonstrate his
message on the blurring of reality. He utilizes the illusion and metaphor of fog to explain this idea, and
to personify protection and safety. To guard ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kesey demonstrates the impact of a self sacrificing, healing influence on the ward, through the
construct of McMurphy. He becomes this Christ like figure to the patients because he makes it his
responsibility to counteract the control and oppression of Nurse Ratched. Kesey uses this symbol
through all aspects of the text. In the aftermath of his final rebellious act, McMurphy sacrifices his
own needs for the lives of others, looking dreadfully tired and strained and frantic. After his death, the
character construct of McMurphy Is still impacting and influencing the mental state of the remaining
patients. Although McMurphy sacrifices his own life for the sake of others, he successfully challenges
the status quo, and unhinges the very basis that it was founded upon:

Supreme Court Case Paper
Let me start off by saying that this case in my opinion, was particularly difficult for me to understand
and decipher what I was actually reading. That being said, I think the main issue in this case is
whether the parties intended that a construction and repurchase clause should constitute as a covenant.
A covenant is a formal written agreement between two parties for the performance of some action, that
runs with the land. These actions were to be enforceable by a specific performance, or a future
interest. In this case the construction of an office building on a condition subsequent, which is later
enforceable only under the Real Property and Procedure Law ( RPAPL ) § 1953. The court case was
on an appeal about whether the parties had intended that a construction with a repurchase clause
should be enforceable by a specific performance or a future interest on a condition subsequent. The
court held that the parties intentions was that the obligation found on the deed sale constitutes for a
covenant that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without the re entry authorization Suffolk Business Center did not have the grounds based on the
loose wording of the deed of sale to reconvene the property. The court denied the purchasers cross
motion and remitted the case for further resolution to the Supreme Court. In my opinion the court case
went exactly as it should have. The things I would have done differently would have been that I would
have had an attorney double check the wording of the deed. With any deed the right to repurchase land
from grantee on the grantor s behalf takes proper wording in order for the proper course of action to be
taken. If Suffolk Business Center had a re entry authorization with a repurchase clause that was
properly worded they would have been able to purchase the property back for original purchase

Personal Theology Paper
Introduction My personal general theology is based on the scripture John 3:16, For God so loved the
world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have
everlasting life. This has always impacted the way that I have talked about God to others. I ve spoken
about God in a manner of love because He loves us enough to give His only begotten son for our
salvation. God loves us enough to make our process toward salvation easier by allowing our
requirement to merely believe in Him. God loves us enough to allow our souls not to perish, if we
believe in Him. God s love is the foundation of my personal theology. In this project I will cover areas

My Dream Journal
One of the best things I ve done in my life is that I ve constantly kept a dream journal. When I was
only 14, I became interested in what dreams meant and ever since then I ve taken my dreams very
seriously. I use my dreams to help me understand what is going on in my life and what I need to do
going forward. If you are not currently keeping a record of your dreams, let me list the reasons why
you should take this dream journal challenge and start!
5 Reasons To Keep A Dream Journal
1. Others Can t Interpret Your Dreams For You
Everyone wakes up from time to time and wonders what did that dream mean?
There are different places online you can go to get help to interpret your dreams. For instance, you can
check out Dream Moods, type in ex boyfriend and get a pre written response on what it means to
dream about an ex boyfriend.
Some of the interpretation is pretty good, and I m not saying that it might not be an accurate
interpretation for you. However, there is a good chance that it s not. The dream may not just about
your ex boyfriend (or whatever you dreamt about) and some generic interpretations. In fact, there may
be something else in the dream, such as a place or feeling, that is the real focus of the dream and why
you are having it.
When you keep a dream journal, you can write down all those little parts of the dream that make up
the whole, and as you go over your dream you may find that the dream is more about something else
than what you originally thought.

The Watergate Of The White House
Richard Nixon s six year stint in the White House is and was reviewed as a pivotal and influential time
period in various aspects of American infrastructure. Nixon had come into office after the consistent
twenty year dominance of presidential politics by a left winged Democratic coalition. America coming
out of conflicts across the globe was universally known as a global police force which was notorious
for large scale pre 21st century military conflict. When Nixon resigned, (The first United States

Such distinction is understood by a transitional politician. His tendency and philosophy toward his
foreign and domestic policy were mirror images in regards to their intent. Conservative, but
understandably so as the late sixties going into the seventies was the descent of liberalism s early to
mid century dominance. His right wing conservative system, could not be established without first
deconstructing FDR s liberal construct. During his Presidency it was noted that Nixon was only as
conservative as he could be and only as liberal as he had to be (Hughes 1). He was accredited with the
establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency but had also made closed door comments about
how if he had not done so, the Democratic Congress would have forced more liberal laws and
legislation into his term. Nixon was at times a hypocritical president especially in times that it was
beneficial to him. Nixon was a president that ideologically could have opposed restriction on
compensation and prices and stayed true to the beliefs in a private setting, while using them during his
election year to appeal to specific organizations. Yet this political/tactical malleability should not
conceal his steadfast political purpose. His simple yet successful endgame was as such; move the

Foreign military and economic intervention by European imperial powers created greater instability in
China. Western powers, through an unequal treaty system, engaged in legal imperialism that gave
them protection through special rights and privileges that gradually reduced Chinese tradesmen to a
subordinate role. Opium trade, fueled by Britain, drained China of silver, and drove up the price of
silver. Silver was the standard payment for taxes, but rising prices made tax payments an economic
burden for peasants. The First Opium War, 1839 to 1842, resulted in the defeat of the Chinese and the
signing of the Treaty of Nanjing. The treaty forced ceded Hong Kong to the British and open treaty

If an infection or an inflammation is present, the providers will have to develop a treatment plan. The
treatment plan may include non surgical therapy, possible antibiotics, shortening recare intervals, and
a referral for a specialist evaluation. Current protocol for probing around the implant has been
somewhat controversial but the consensus seems to be that it is safe to probe the implant without
disrupting the perimucosal seal. An experienced practitioner should be able to probe dental implants
without continual perforation of the weak seal. Inflammation is a critical factor that determines
whether an intervention will be required. Although many etiological factors exist, the most common
cause of inflammation around dental implants is excess cement that was not removed during crown
cementation. Cement may create inflammation even after dormant for many months. Merticulous
attempts to remove excess cement need to be practiced. Another source of the peri implant

The Aftermath of World War I
The aftermath of World War I left a lasting impression on the 1920s because America entered the
Great War later than the big European countries. This gave them an upper hand in their economic
position since they did not spend as much money as France, Germany, and Britain did. This ignited
their unprecedented affluence which had a domino effect in America s society in terms of government
s relationship to business. Another effect of the First World War is the Red Scare and America s
prejudice and fear against the minorities shown through the immigration policies it established. These
changes in the economy increased living standards, evidently seen through the consumer culture,
progressive innovations, and increased consumption. This illusion of expanding prosperity came to an
end with the stock market crash in 1929. This opened America s eyes to their limits which make the
1920s a decade imperative for its legacy rippled throughout our history. With the Republicans in
control of the White House, the policies of promoting business while limiting government control was
in favor. President Calvin Coolidge stated, The business of America was business, which was the truth
as America plunged into a prosperous economic growth fueled by the consumer culture and other new
ideas. The booming economy was led by the automobile industry. This was started by Henry Ford,
who pioneered two developments that made this industry growth possible standardization and mass

The Fall of Rome and Nazi Germany
Societies flourish and fall, all of them do. They fight and suffer and even kill to keep their society
alive. As a result, societies like ancient Rome and Nazi Germany, eventually fall and crumble. Over
time some of these societies recover, but are never the same again. Societies fail due to political
corruption, loss of resources and war. These obstacles are hard to overcome, but not impossible. These
obstacles weaken and tear at societies, until they finally break, turning them into a piece of history.
Political Corruption and the fall of government are one of the main reasons why societies fail.
Lina and Doon have found many things in the City of Ember. One of them leading through the
pipeworks, to the Mayors Secret Hiding Place . They had discovered that the Mayor had been stealing
food from the citizens in Ember, when everyone else actually needed the supplies more than him.
Jeanne DuPrau writes, I m worried because the mayor of our city is taking for himself the things that
people need (DuPrau 176).
In the 1900 s during the time of the Great War Hitler was the leader of Nazi Germany. He ruled
everything his citizens did including public communication, jobs, and especially the military. At this
time there was a large feud between races and the minorities were not treated equally. All of these
problems eventually led to the downfall of Nazi Germany. The leader gained support for his ideas
through informational text, which filled the popular media with

Safety Net
The effect of smaller government safety nets on families is drastic. The United States is one of the few
countries left in the world that has yet to understand the importance of strong supports for the primary
building block of our society. By continuing to balance our competing ideals of individualism against
marriage and family we are putting the very foundations of our country at risk. Our current federal
safety net is made up of many individual policies and programs. They are generally independent of
each other and attack a single aspect of poverty. Taken as a whole they represent a challenging matrix
for the poor to use and the American taxpayer to understand ( Safety Net Programs Federal Safety
Net, n.d.).
In the instance of a family facing the crisis of raising a child with disabilities, this situation can be
both ineffective and confusing. For example, if a family faces the challenge of raising a child
diagnosed with autism life can change instantly. Immediately decisions ... Show more content on

The safety net should have support systems available to aid in the family s ability to restructure its
dynamics and come to terms with a new reality. When this does not happen for a family, it leaves them
unsure of the next steps to take for their child, emotionally exhausted, and with fewer economic
resources. When safety nets are smaller and less certain, families serve more prominent roles as
educators, healthcare providers, personnel managers, and social workers for their members
(Bogenschneider, 2014, p. 115). As many families in America face caring for their family members in
situations such as autism, aging parents, children with disabilities, and others who are chronically ill it
is time to implement an effective government safety net to help families restructure and face the
challenges as an cohesive family

A Lecture On International Sustainable Tourism
Triple Bottom Line
During a lecture in International Sustainable Tourism, we discussed the Triple Bottom Line or Triple
Bottom Line Reporting, which means expanding the traditional reporting framework to take into
account environmental and social performance in addition to financial performance. This framework
is becoming an accepted approach for organizations to demonstrate they have strategies for
Sustainable Growth. It focuses on decision making and reporting, which explicitly considers an
organization s economic, environmental and social performance. Triple Bottom Line focuses on
Stakeholders instead of Shareholders. A Stakeholder is a person, group, or organization who has an
interest or concern in an organization. In this essay, I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This means that there is technically a Social Environmental pillar which relates to Environmental
Justice, Natural Resources Stewardship, and Acting Locally, Thinking Globally; A Environmental
Economic pillar which highlights Energy Efficiency, Subsidies, and Incentives for use of Natural
Resources, and finally an Economic Social pillar which deals with Business Ethics, Fair Trade and
Workers Rights. Right smack dab in the middle of the circle graph is Sustainability. When all three
pillars are in play, Sustainability happens.
Moving on, there are three set goal principals for the Triple Bottom Line and they all three relate back
to the three pillars. The goal for the Social pillar is to have Vibrant Communities, where an
organization has a responsibility to its employees and to the wider community in which it works. The
company understands how its practice affects the workers and strives to promote their best interests.
The goal for the Environmental pillar is a Healthy Environment by reducing the environmental
footprint. Finally, the goal for the Economic pillar is Profit. The Triple Bottom line recognizes that
business sustainability rests on social and environmental settings. The cost of pollution, worker
displaces, and other factors and is included into a profit calculation.
When it comes to the mechanics of the Triple Bottom Line, there is no universal standard to calculate
the Triple Bottom Line, and the

How Does Shakespeare Make A Good Character In Romeo And...
To have a good play their must be good characters. Throughout Romeo and Juliet, the characters make
choices and decisions to make the plot more interesting. In Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet,
Shakespeare uses juxtaposition, paradoxes, and oxymoron to make his characters more complex and
meaningful in their actions and their personality
Juliet, the daughter of Lord and Lady Capulet, is sheltered by her family, making her naive. Because
Juliet does not know much about people, she only judges people from what she sees on the outside.
Juliet says, Was ever book containing such vile matter/ so fairly bound? (3.2.83 84). Since Juliet is so
kept away from most of society, she has bad judgement of people from lack of experience. Romeo, in
her eyes, is a handsome man who has been corrupted because he has killed her cousin Tybalt, ... Show

During the scene when the nightwatch is coming to the Capulet s tomb, Friar Lawrence shows how
much he does not want to be caught by the guard. Stay not to question, for the watch is coming./
Come, go, good Juliet. I dare no longer stay (5.3.158 159) . Because he does not want to be a suspect
in the death of Romeo, the Friar leaves, showing how he is cautious. When Romeo confronts Friar
Lawrence, the Friar tells Romeo, In one respect I ll thy assistant be;/ for this alliance may so happy
prove/ to turn your households rancor to pure love (2.4.90 92). With only a little persuasion, Romeo
convinces Friar Lawrence to wed them. The rash decision made by the friar has deadly consequences
later. Shakespeare uses several types of language to create complex characters who display
meaningful actions and feelings. Throughout the story of Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare uses these
types of language constantly, to make the play more interesting. The complex characters in any play
are the key to having a good

Essay about Wage Compression and Symbolic Egalitarianism
An organisations internal pay structure can affect the way employees perform to the business strategy.
Where a workers performance not only depends on the level of pay they receive (Solow, 1979, in
Alexopoulos Cohen, 2003), but also takes into consideration their pay compared to workers above and
below them, those within the same occupational group, and the external labour market (Akerlof and
Yellen, 1990). Pfeffer (2005) argues that wage compression, which is the act of reducing the size of
the pay differences among employees, improves productivity. To gain competitive advantage,
organisations need to acknowledge not only hierarchical wage compression (between management
and employees) but also the differences between individuals at ... Show more content on

There is also a range of returns employees can receive; the psychological relational returns (learning
opportunities, employment security), and total compensation returns which are transactional (benefits
such as work/life balance, allowances, as well as cash compensation and bonuses) (Milkovich,
Newman, Gerhart, 2011).
However, the validity of Pfeffers argument is contestable. Although compressing the pay structure
supports fairness and equality, there is also the problem of creating the opposite outcome. When wage
differentials are eliminated, it may not be perceived as fair and create a negative effect on effort and
motivation (Kraft, 1994). A Swedish study demonstrates this negative effect, whereby the higher paid
workers morale and effort subsided leading to lower outputs as they did not feel valued for their skills
(Hibbs and Locking, 2000, in Alexopoulos Cohen, 2003). Therefore, wage differentials aid in
distinguishing between workers abilities and responsibilities to organisational performance (Beaumont
Harris, 2003). Theorists have thus developed a counter argument, that it is in fact wage dispersion that
leads to increased effort and performance (Lallemand, Plasman, Rycx, 2004). Instead of emphasising
co operation, Lazear and Rosen s (1981) tournament theory highlights the need to differentiate pay, as
larger variations are more motivating than smaller or equal differences.

Malaria Is A Preventable Disease
Part I: Background Malaria is a preventable disease transmitted by a female anopheles mosquito that
has a global annual death impact of over one million mainly concentrated in sub Saharan Africa
(Patricia Schlagenhauf Lawlor, Funk Baumann, M., 2005, pg. 6)(1). Although malaria is almost
unheard of in developed countries like the United States, in the early 1900s malaria was just as
prevalent as it is in sub Saharan Africa today. The United States has eradicated local malaria due to
increased finances and physician led public health missions in the 1940 s in the form of the DDT
campaign(Humphries, 2001, pg. 2). However, in underdeveloped countries mainly located in tropical
areas, the death toll to malaria continues to rise due to challenges and barriers between accumulating
hefty finances, adequate resources and delivering affective outreach programs( Jennifer Kates,
Michaud, J., Wexler, A., Valentine, A., 2013)(3). Malaria thrives in warm and human areas that have
bounty stagnant water sources ideal for breeding and egg nesting. Once bitten by a mature anopheles
mosquito the incubation time between infection and showing symptoms is usually between 6 7 days
(Patricia Schlagenhauf Lawlor, Funk Baumann, M., 2005, pg. 10)(1). The common symptoms of
malaria like chills, headache and perfuse diaphoresis to name a few, exacerbate due to parasitic
replication and destruction of the bodies RBC. Once the cell is destroyed the merozites from the RBC

Love In A Midsummer Night s Dream
The course of love never ran smoothly. There were not the best times in a Midsummer Night s
Dream. There are many details in the play that could keep you wanting to know what happens with
them next. The characters in the play could still be able to love who they wanted. In a Midsummer
Night s Dream, William Shakespeare uses diction, imagery, and detail to portray the tone to the
characters love in the play.
Love had never ran smoothly with Hermia. Hermia said The worse that may befall me in this case i
refuse to wed Demetrius. (Shakespeare 7). Shakespeare shows this when Hermia said this she is
saying that she does not want to marry Demetrius. She would only want to marry Lysander. Hermia
said O Hell! To chose love by another s eyes. (Shakespeare 5). Hermia said this because she does not
think that it is right for someone else to chose who you marry. She thinks that it is better to chose on
your own. Hermia said I Frown upon him, yet he loves me still. (Shakespeare 7). Hermia is saying this

I Am A New School
It has been quite the adjustment not being able to see my baby sister whenever I want, however I am
not as distraught as I assumed I would be. Watching you start a new school in a new city, with no
familiar faces is an unbelievable challenge that you have conquered. While I do miss you dearly,
seeing you thrive in your new environment has only made me proud. It reminds me of when you
switched schools in the sixth grade and went to the Academy of Notre Dame instead of St. Patricks
School. You were so excited and nervous to start this new chapter of your life, just like you were
going into Drexel University. However back in 2008 do you remember how upset I was that you were

I also believe it was the beginning of how you took your favorite motto choose happiness and started
to live your life by this saying. When you first started to tell me to choose happiness I thought you
were crazy, since I had no idea what that even meant. You best described it as, happiness is your
decision even though there are so many negative things to focus on in life there s even more things to
be happy about. Life will then be easier if you focus on the good and choose to be happy. The more
and more you would tell me to choose happiness the more I began too. I have a difficult personality, as
I know you know, my anxiety can get the best of me and makes me imagine how things should go and
when they do not go as planned I freak out, which leads me down a negative thought process. You are
the complete opposite, you go with the flow and always have a positive attitude. Since your
personality is the opposite of mine you constantly catch me when I am being negative and tell me to
choose happiness while I do find it annoying at times, you are right. There is no reason to not see the
positives in situations that are unpleasant. I thank you for putting me in my place all those times
because my tense personality has softened and I can now go with the flow more because of you and
your positive influences. It truly does amaze me that you are so confident in your choices because you
know everything will work

Kokoro Trauma
There are many types of trauma that can affect an adolescent and without the proper treatment the
juvenile can have difficulty adapting and developing into adulthood. This situation is animated in
Kokoro by Natsume Soseki. This Japanese novel centers around a university student and a man whom
he refers to as Sensei. The student, also the narrator of this story, goes on a journey to reveal the
secrets behind this enigmatic teacher who lives a reclusive and idle life with his wife. Sensei is weary
of the world in general because of his agonizing past. During his university days, he committed a
crime which has haunted him ever since. On the night of K s death, Sensei was terrified by the scene
in which resulted in a permanent, mental scar that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Upon discovering K s corpse, Sensei had an urge to properly look at his friend s countenance. The
author writes, Not only had the sight filled me with sudden horror, but the head had felt inordinately
heavy (231). The word choice used by Soseki in this scene elicits the devastating consequence of his
sudden compulsion. Words such as, sudden horror and inordinately heavy, describing a dead man s
head depicts the emotional and mental scarring effect it created on a growing young man. Having
experienced this at such a young age and never receiving the proper treatment, Sensei was traumatized
which resulted in his isolation and distrust of humanity. Additionally, as the night continues, Sensei
becomes restless. He claims, What had truly frightened me was my own destiny; it seemed to have
been shaped... by this friend of mine, who now lay cold and lifeless before me (231). Sensei, being at
such a vulnerable age, suffered the guilt of leading his companion to death, which had a tolling effect
in his development. The dreadful and ghastly scene that laid before him traumatized his developing
mind. Soseki use words such as cold and lifeless to describe K s dead body to emphasize the
agonizing result K s death had on Sensei. The traumatic effect K s suicide had on Sensei is addressed
through Soseki s use of word

Overview of Behavioral Economics Essay
Behavioural economics is the study of the effects that psychology has on the decision making of the
economy. This tends to be the way that people think and feel when they are spending money on a
certain good or service. The great economist Adam Smith was the first follower of this idea through
his book The theory of moral sentiments which dates back to 1759. However, it took over 100 years to
get a more clarified meaning of how big of a role the psychology of a buyer plays in economics. In
behavioural economics there are seven basic principles which all contribute to the decision making
process. Behavioural economics can explain how people will react to different situations such as times
when there are no economic problems and times when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words most people would prefer to pay more and buy a more expensive product thinking that
by paying more it is also superior to the other products of the same category that are cheaper.
However, although the phrase you get what you pay for might have some validity in it that is not
always the case, due to the fact that sometimes the products that might be cheaper are just as good as
the competitor brand which has a higher price. In this instant it would be logical to buy the cheaper
product however most human beings would opt for the expensive product, assuming that it is of better
quality than the cheaper product. On the other hand, Dan Ariely rebuffs this claim and states, We
choose what we like, not what s best. Sometimes humans don t make decisions based on their
preferences; instead they choose what they want and that leads to a process of rationalisation in order
to get what they really want. However, they still want to give the impression that they were acting
according to their preferences. Secondly, the framing effect states that presenting the same option but
in a different format can change people s decisions. Plous (1993) states that, individuals have a
tendency to select inconsistent choices, depending on whether the question is framed to concentrate on
losses or gains. A good example of when framing is apparent is when stores advertise sale on their
products. For example two stores both sell the same product which is priced at £50

  • 2. Essay on The Rise of the Nazi Party The Rise of the Nazi Party Hitler s rise to power was the result of many factors, but Hitler s ability to take advantage of Germany s poor leadership and economical and political conditions was the most significant factor. His ability to manipulate the media and the German public whilst taking advantage of Germany s poor leadership resulted in both the collapse of the Weimar Republic and the rise of Hitler and the nazi party. During the early 1920s, Germany was struggling with economic instability and political uncertainty. Germany, after being defeated in the Great War, was forced to sign the unforgiving treaty of Versailles, which the Weimar Republic was held responsible for. This brought forward feelings of fear, anger and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the hardship of the 1920s and1930s, political incompetence was highlighted, the Weimar Government proved its incompetence time and time again. .The instability of the Weimar Republic was so great that the average life span of Reich cabinets was from 6 7 months. Their incapability of providing justice to outbreaks of violence, such as political assassinations is one example of the incompetence of the Weimar Republic. When Germany found its self in undesirable economical situations due to the Treaty of Versalles, they printed money to pay off reparations, which resulted in super inflation. During the period of super inflation people s life savings became worthless which contributed to the downward circle of a reduction in standard of living. As unemployment rose and people began to afford less and less with their money, people commenced searching for a better alternative to the Weimar Government. Hitler s ability to build upon these feelings whilst offering security, prosperity and full employment, convinced Germany, in a state of disillusionment, to support the nazi party. The Weimar s instability contributed to the collapse of the Weimar republic provided perfect conditions for the nazi party to rise to power. With incompetent leadership and an unhappy nation, the German people began to realize that their country was in a vulnerable situation and began to look for stable alternatives to democracy. Education is not only about what we learn in our textbook as students but about the lessons we learn from those text books. It helps students develop a perspective on how to look at life. Education is the basic foundation for every one. It is instrumental in the development of our values and virtues. The future of our nation is safe in the hands of educated individuals, which is why they say our children are our future . Education is attached to everything that happens in this nation. This puts them at a disadvantage, when compared to the students who go to some good private schools. It s sad to have to put it that way but it s the truth. The socioeconomic status of the parent has a lot to do with this. APA states Low SES and its correlates, such as lower education, poverty, and poor health, ultimately affect our society as a whole, in particular, America s children. Children in the United States face one of the highest rates of poverty within the industrialized world. If a parent spends hours at work to make ends meet then that takes away from parent involvement in home assignments. The parents also influence on the attitude the child brings to school and how important school is to the student. The values of school start at home, if a parent doesn t believe that school is important factor in an adult s life then that rubs off on the student, they carry that same attitude about school. Economic hardships manifest a number of challenges. From having a stable home, basic needs to medical care, all these things create challenges for students and teachers as well. This goes to show how easily students who come from poverty have a higher chance of not finishing school and facing many obstacles while in school making it so much more difficult for them. • 5. Tudor Rebellion Causes The influence of political factors and change cannot be ignored when weighing up the most significant cause of rebellion throughout the Tudor period. Both in England and Ireland, political unrest was common among all of the Tudor Monarchs meaning it was a consistent factor in all rebellions across the era. The main problems came from self serving greed, with plans to overthrow the Monarchs in order to position someone who would be in their favour or get rid of corrupt advisors in order to attain more political influence. Rebel leaders believed that if current royal advisors were removed successfully it would improve the government as they would be replaced with improved and wiser individuals and stop the negative influence on the Monarch. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It emphasised the part political greed placed on individuals sparking rebellion as a last ditch attempt by those who were out of favour at court to restore their political fortunes by seizing on the discontents and puzzlements of others . The Earl of Essex had gained a good reputation and worked his way up to be Elizabeth s favourite courtier. However, he was short of money and so attempted to rule the court and oppose his rival Cecil which caused the Queen to turn against him. On one occasion during a heated Privy Council debate on the problems in Ireland, the Queen reportedly cuffed an insolent Essex round the ear, prompting him to half draw his sword on her . The incident meant Essex felt he had been publically shamed and was sent from court consequently losing all his influence at court. Political factions were central to the cause of this revolt as the Earl resented the influence that Robert Cecil had at court and thought by showing force in the form of a rebellion would lead the Queen to readmit him to court and to her favour. The Essex rebellion is very significant in showing how the corruption of the patronage system by Essex, and the dominance of Cecil, continued to affect politics after the Tudor period had ended into James I reign where political instability let to the Catholic dominated Main, Bye and Gunpowder plots. • 7. Aristole s View on Drama Preamble Drama is an aspect of literature represented in performances and has been a part of the world for many decades. Drama originated in classical Greece around the fifth century B.C. The earliest performances took place in amphitheaters, which the Greeks invented to incorporate plays in their religious and civic festivals. These Greek festivals were huge theatrical events filled with three days of drama. The structure of the amphitheater allowed for an audience of thousands to observe the theatrics and watch as the actors vie to win the drama competition. In addition, ancient Greek theater used dramas to relay moral and political messages to their communities. There are two different categories of drama: comedy and tragedy. Greek ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Shakespeare is said to have shaped the beginnings of modern day culture through his tragic plays by introducing man as the tragic hero rather than the Gods. Although both Miller and Shakespeare have modified the classic Greek tragedies in this manner they still fulfill Aristotle s definition of tragedy in many ways. Aristotle Vs Othello and Death of a Salesman Shakespeare s protagonist, Othello and Miller s protagonist, Willy Lowman are both considered the tragic heroes in the play. Othello is a moor and a general in Venetian army. He is experienced in battle and valued by the people. Since he is this well respected military leader, the people listened and cared about what he had to say. One instance of his high regard can be seen when one of the senators said, Here comes Barbantio and the valiant Moor , (Act I scene 3). With Othello overcoming racist Venice and managing to gain this high status in the community, Aristotle s first requirement for a tragic hero is fulfilled. However, many would argue that in Millers play, Willy Lowman s character stretches the definition of a tragic hero. Since Willy Lowman was a mere salesman struggling to seize the American dream he would definitely not be considered a man of high status. Although Willy Lowman did hold one honorable position and that was head of the household. This is illustrated during a conversation that Willy s wife Linda has with their son Biff. • 20. The Aftermath of World War I The aftermath of World War I left a lasting impression on the 1920s because America entered the Great War later than the big European countries. This gave them an upper hand in their economic position since they did not spend as much money as France, Germany, and Britain did. This ignited their unprecedented affluence which had a domino effect in America s society in terms of government s relationship to business. Another effect of the First World War is the Red Scare and America s prejudice and fear against the minorities shown through the immigration policies it established. These changes in the economy increased living standards, evidently seen through the consumer culture, progressive innovations, and increased consumption. This illusion of expanding prosperity came to an end with the stock market crash in 1929. This opened America s eyes to their limits which make the 1920s a decade imperative for its legacy rippled throughout our history. • 21. The Fall of Rome and Nazi Germany Societies flourish and fall, all of them do. They fight and suffer and even kill to keep their society alive. As a result, societies like ancient Rome and Nazi Germany, eventually fall and crumble. Over time some of these societies recover, but are never the same again. Societies fail due to political corruption, loss of resources and war. These obstacles are hard to overcome, but not impossible. These obstacles weaken and tear at societies, until they finally break, turning them into a piece of history. Political Corruption and the fall of government are one of the main reasons why societies fail. Lina and Doon have found many things in the City of Ember. One of them leading through the pipeworks, to the Mayors Secret Hiding Place . They had discovered that the Mayor had been stealing food from the citizens in Ember, when everyone else actually needed the supplies more than him. Jeanne DuPrau writes, I m worried because the mayor of our city is taking for himself the things that people need (DuPrau 176). In the 1900 s during the time of the Great War Hitler was the leader of Nazi Germany. He ruled everything his citizens did including public communication, jobs, and especially the military. At this time there was a large feud between races and the minorities were not treated equally. All of these problems eventually led to the downfall of Nazi Germany. The leader gained support for his ideas through informational text, which filled the popular media with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 22. Safety Net The effect of smaller government safety nets on families is drastic. The United States is one of the few countries left in the world that has yet to understand the importance of strong supports for the primary building block of our society. By continuing to balance our competing ideals of individualism against marriage and family we are putting the very foundations of our country at risk. Our current federal safety net is made up of many individual policies and programs. They are generally independent of each other and attack a single aspect of poverty. Taken as a whole they represent a challenging matrix for the poor to use and the American taxpayer to understand ( Safety Net Programs Federal Safety Net, n.d.). In the instance of a family facing the crisis of raising a child with disabilities, this situation can be both ineffective and confusing. For example, if a family faces the challenge of raising a child diagnosed with autism life can change instantly. Immediately decisions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The safety net should have support systems available to aid in the family s ability to restructure its dynamics and come to terms with a new reality. When this does not happen for a family, it leaves them unsure of the next steps to take for their child, emotionally exhausted, and with fewer economic resources. When safety nets are smaller and less certain, families serve more prominent roles as educators, healthcare providers, personnel managers, and social workers for their members (Bogenschneider, 2014, p. 115). As many families in America face caring for their family members in situations such as autism, aging parents, children with disabilities, and others who are chronically ill it is time to implement an effective government safety net to help families restructure and face the challenges as an cohesive family ... A Lecture On International Sustainable Tourism Triple Bottom Line During a lecture in International Sustainable Tourism, we discussed the Triple Bottom Line or Triple Bottom Line Reporting, which means expanding the traditional reporting framework to take into account environmental and social performance in addition to financial performance. This framework is becoming an accepted approach for organizations to demonstrate they have strategies for Sustainable Growth. It focuses on decision making and reporting, which explicitly considers an organization s economic, environmental and social performance. Triple Bottom Line focuses on Stakeholders instead of Shareholders. A Stakeholder is a person, group, or organization who has an interest or concern in an organization. In this essay, I ... Right smack dab in the middle of the circle graph is Sustainability. When all three pillars are in play, Sustainability happens. Moving on, there are three set goal principals for the Triple Bottom Line and they all three relate back to the three pillars. The goal for the Social pillar is to have Vibrant Communities, where an organization has a responsibility to its employees and to the wider community in which it works. The company understands how its practice affects the workers and strives to promote their best interests. The goal for the Environmental pillar is a Healthy Environment by reducing the environmental footprint. Finally, the goal for the Economic pillar is Profit. • 24. How Does Shakespeare Make A Good Character In Romeo And... To have a good play their must be good characters. Throughout Romeo and Juliet, the characters make choices and decisions to make the plot more interesting. In Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare uses juxtaposition, paradoxes, and oxymoron to make his characters more complex and meaningful in their actions and their personality Juliet, the daughter of Lord and Lady Capulet, is sheltered by her family, making her naive. Because Juliet does not know much about people, she only judges people from what she sees on the outside. Juliet says, Was ever book containing such vile matter/ so fairly bound? (3.2.83 84). Since Juliet is so kept away from most of society, she has bad judgement of people from lack of experience. • 25. Essay about Wage Compression and Symbolic Egalitarianism An organisations internal pay structure can affect the way employees perform to the business strategy. Where a workers performance not only depends on the level of pay they receive (Solow, 1979, in Alexopoulos Cohen, 2003), but also takes into consideration their pay compared to workers above and below them, those within the same occupational group, and the external labour market (Akerlof and Yellen, 1990). Pfeffer (2005) argues that wage compression, which is the act of reducing the size of the pay differences among employees, improves productivity. To gain competitive advantage, organisations need to acknowledge not only hierarchical wage compression (between management and employees) but also the differences between individuals at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is also a range of returns employees can receive; the psychological relational returns (learning opportunities, employment security), and total compensation returns which are transactional (benefits such as work/life balance, allowances, as well as cash compensation and bonuses) (Milkovich, Newman, Gerhart, 2011). However, the validity of Pfeffers argument is contestable. Although compressing the pay structure supports fairness and equality, there is also the problem of creating the opposite outcome. When wage differentials are eliminated, it may not be perceived as fair and create a negative effect on effort and motivation (Kraft, 1994). A Swedish study demonstrates this negative effect, whereby the higher paid workers morale and effort subsided leading to lower outputs as they did not feel valued for their skills (Hibbs and Locking, 2000, in Alexopoulos Cohen, 2003). Therefore, wage differentials aid in distinguishing between workers abilities and responsibilities to organisational performance (Beaumont Harris, 2003). Theorists have thus developed a counter argument, that it is in fact wage dispersion that leads to increased effort and performance (Lallemand, Plasman, Rycx, 2004). Instead of emphasising co operation, Lazear and Rosen s (1981) tournament theory highlights the need to differentiate pay, as larger variations are more motivating than smaller or equal differences. ... Malaria Is A Preventable Disease Part I: Background Malaria is a preventable disease transmitted by a female anopheles mosquito that has a global annual death impact of over one million mainly concentrated in sub Saharan Africa (Patricia Schlagenhauf Lawlor, Funk Baumann, M., 2005, pg. 6)(1). Although malaria is almost unheard of in developed countries like the United States, in the early 1900s malaria was just as prevalent as it is in sub Saharan Africa today. The United States has eradicated local malaria due to increased finances and physician led public health missions in the 1940 s in the form of the DDT campaign(Humphries, 2001, pg. 2). However, in underdeveloped countries mainly located in tropical areas, the death toll to malaria continues to rise due to challenges and barriers between accumulating hefty finances, adequate resources and delivering affective outreach programs( Jennifer Kates, Michaud, J., Wexler, A., Valentine, A., 2013)(3). • 30. Overview of Behavioral Economics Essay Behavioural economics is the study of the effects that psychology has on the decision making of the economy. This tends to be the way that people think and feel when they are spending money on a certain good or service. The great economist Adam Smith was the first follower of this idea through his book The theory of moral sentiments which dates back to 1759. However, it took over 100 years to get a more clarified meaning of how big of a role the psychology of a buyer plays in economics. However, although the phrase you get what you pay for might have some validity in it that is not always the case, due to the fact that sometimes the products that might be cheaper are just as good as the competitor brand which has a higher price. In this instant it would be logical to buy the cheaper product however most human beings would opt for the expensive product, assuming that it is of better quality than the cheaper product. On the other hand, Dan Ariely rebuffs this claim and states, We choose what we like, not what s best. Sometimes humans don t make decisions based on their preferences; instead they choose what they want and that leads to a process of rationalisation in order to get what they really want. However, they still want to give the impression that they were acting according to their preferences. Secondly, the framing effect states that presenting the same option but in a different format can change people s decisions.
