The term teaching method refers to the
general principles, pedagogy and
management strategies used for
classroom instruction.
The way that a teacher adopts to
transmits contents to students is called
Teaching Method.
In classroom teaching , method is a series
of related and progressive acts
performed by the teacher and the
students to achieve the specific aims of
the lesson
The choice of teaching method largely
depends on the information or skill that
is being taught and it may also influenced
by the aptitude of the students.
Teaching theories are generally fall into two approaches:
 Teacher centered &
 Student centered
It should provide a variety of
related experiences and activities
to students/pupils
It should be capable to promote
interest among students
It should train the students
through self study
It should focuses on selected
topics
At the time of teaching, the
teacher should works as a
philosopher, friend and director
It should be based on co-operation
of students and previous knowledge
of teacher
It should stimulate the desire for
further study and exploration.
