2. Introduction
Dear TeamRock,
I would like to pitch my idea for a new rock magazine called “Jack
of all Rock”. It will fit well with your existing products as it too will feature
information about rock music from different eras much like your other
magazines and radio.
3. Conventional
• My magazine will be conventional as it will discuss rock music and things
associated with rock music in the magazine.
• It will also be conventional as it will look similar and take inspiration from
other rock music magazines, such as Classic Rock and Kerrang. This means
that the overall style and mode of address will be similar and fit with rest of
your magazines. This can be seen by how similar the fonts are for the
mastheads.
4. Target Audience
• The target audience for my magazine isn’t specific. Through my audience
research I realised that my target audience wasn’t very specific. It was a
majority of male members but it was a small difference between the statistics
of the genders. It seems my target audience is just people who like rock
music. This means that as long as I talk about different types of rock music it
should attract everybody.
5. Content and Style
• The content and style on the magazine will be very similar to the Classic rock
magazine as can be seen by this draft mock up. Both products are laid out
very similarly. This shows that
the contents and style of my
magazine will fit with TeamRock.
6. Contents and Style
• The style as you have seen will be similar and so will the contents. The
contents of my magazine will be about different types of rock music through
the different time periods and will also be about different types of rock such
as blues rock and classic rock. This will fit well with the theme TeamRock
has established as you cover lots of different types of rock.
