7. Font choices
• I will use the first font for my masthead, my main coverline
and for my puff.
• The second font will be used for my sky and strap lines.
• The remaining coverlines will be used by the third font.
• For the body copy, I will use I will use a simple font
for example 'Ariel’.
8. Form, Content & Genre
• The genre for my magazine will be a rock
magazine. It will be about rock artists and bands
and about which ones are most popular at the
moment.
• The double page spread will be a Q & A with a
specific artist.
• There will also be a section at the end of the
magazine about rock artists and bands from the
80's for people who are older and still prefer the
old rock artists/bands.
9. Target audience
The primary target audience for this magazine will be white British males aged 20-25,
part of both the ABC1 and C2DE categories.
The secondary audience for my magazine will be white British men aged 35-40, from
both the ABC1 and C2DE categories.
10. Resources and Personnel
Resources Reason
A camera To take the pictures for the magazine.
A computer To be able to create the magazine, and use it for all the writing of the
content for the magazine.
Costumes and props To make the artist look more like rock and have them with the rock
conventions so people can identify it’s a rock magazine.
Photoshop To edit all the photos to make them look better, and the create the
layout for the magazine so it looks good.
Personnel Reason
A photographer So when the photos are taken, they can be
taken by a professional to make the quality
of the photos much better.
An editor To edit the magazine so it looks much more
professional and it can stand out.
A graphic designer To do the final touches to the magazine to
make it it’s perfect and there aren’t any faults
to it.
A printing company To print all the copies of the magazine so
they can be sold in supermarkets,
newsagents and newspaper stands.
12. Marketing & Distribution
My magazine will be distributed in a number of different ways:
• Hard copies available to buy in supermarkets, newsagents and newspaper stands.
• An online print available online to purchase and download.
The content of my magazine will be information about rock artists and bands and it will include a free
CD from a famous rock artist's best tracks. The CD will be available in different formats, depending on
how people will read the magazine. The hard copy will have the CD inside the magazine which will be a
physical disc, whereas the online edition will have the CD available to download onto the device you are
reading the magazine on.
Finally, my magazine will be promoted in a number of different ways to ensure more and more people
hear about it.
• It will be promoted on all different platforms of social media.
• It will be pop up ads online.
• There will be a billboard about it.
• It will be a physical advert on bus stops and in train.
My magazine will be mainly promoted online so it will much cheaper than having physical ads
everywhere as they will cost much more to print and make.
