1. Evaluation Question 6 – Technologies
The first technology used to complete my coursework would havebeen
Microsoftword. I did a lot of my research and planning on
Microsoftword and this helped me organisethe documents easily
as they would all be in the sameplace. Italso allowed me to easily
write out what I was doing as that is the corepurposeof Microsoft
word. MicrosoftPowerPointwas also a usefultechnology for
similar reasons to Microsoftword.
Slideshareand Blogger were the next two technologies used and these
helped a lot as it let me present my work in an easy and simple way.
The next technology used would have been a camera. I used my own
Canon Camera and the camera on my phone for test shots and
the actual piece. The cameras were incredibly helpful as they
made it possiblefor me to complete my work. I learned a lot
with the cameras. I used different types of focus and the zoom
function to get a wide variety of shots.
Photoshop helped a lot with adjusting my photos and making them look more
professional. Theability to remove the background of an image with the magic
wand and eraser tool was the biggest help from Photoshop.
The two font websites I used were Fontspaceand DaFontand
they helped my browsea wide rangeof fonts to be used in my
magazine. This gave me more customisation of my magazine as I
didn’t have to use a tool such as word art.
The voice recorder on my phone helped with gaining my
focus group interviews and audience research as it was
easier to interview people for these topics. Surveymonkey.comhelped
me with my audience questionnaire however as I was aiming to make a
survey instead of an interview.
Websites such as Popplet, Prezi, Szoter and Emazehelped
with my evaluation as they gave me a new and interesting way to
present my work.
