ABSTRACT- P53 is a tumor suppressor gene with a well established role in causation of different human cancers. The
p53-MDM2 interactions have become the cornerstone of intensive cancer based research due to their effective anti-cancer
properties. These potential compounds are found in many traditional natural plant products. In the present context, there is
a tremendous level of enthusiasm to evaluate the pharmacological potential of various natural plants used in traditional
systems of medicine. The experimental efforts to carry out such biological screening of plants are still considerably high,
and therefore, computer-aided drug design approaches have become attractive alternatives. Virtual screening has
established itself as a dynamic and cost-effective technology to isolate compounds with pharmacological potential. The
main aim of the present study is to identify a novel or similar or better drug like compound in comparison with that of the
FDA approved drug Nutlin (potent MDM2-p53 inhibitor) from the Hamelia patens plant, through the Structure Based
Virtual Screening, Docking and Molecular Dynamic Simulation studies, for future anti-cancer therapy for future
implications as a therapeutic model.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a severe disabling and demyelinating disease of the nervous system. Its etiology involves profound genetic component. The latest contender known to have been correlated with MS is protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor-type C (PTPRC or CD45); however, to date its role remains contentious. The aim of the current study was to examine the association of functionally significant exon 4 C77G polymorphism of CD45 with MS in Kashmiri population from Indian subcontinent. The preliminary findings of our study revealed absence of C77G in majority of the cases as well as controls. These findings strongly suggest that the alterations in CD45 are sporadically associated with the genesis of MS. In conclusion, results from our study are in accordance with some of the international studies; however, more studies with large datasets from Kashmir as well as other ethnic populations are warranted to validate the above preliminary findings and demonstrate the role of CD45 C77G polymorphism in MS pathogenesis. Colorectal cancer is one of the most fatal cancers in the world because most of cases are diagnosed in advanced stages, when the development of resistance to chemotherapy is more frequent. To face this situation, new drugs and drug combinations would be necessary. Drug discovery is a very costly process; although efforts in drug discovery have been amplified in recent decades the success rate of approved FDA drugs continues being low. In response to this situation the repositioning of drugs proposes to delve into the genetic, epigenetic and metabolic differences to discover new targets and redirect drugs already approved to the treatment of other diseases and conditions. In this minireview we discuss the main avenues in which repositioning can occur and we cite some examples of repositioning drugs in colorectal cancer treatment that are being tested in clinical trials in the past years.
Anti neoplastic effect of Eclipta prostrata L. (HepG2) cell lines. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a tumor of the liver. HCC is responsible for over 12,000 deaths per year in the United States. It is one of the serious health problems in most developing countries. The present probe proved that ethanol extract of Eclipta prostrata L. significantly suppressed the growth and induced the apoptosis in the liver cancer (HepG2) cell lines. IC50 dose was measured with methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium. 100 μg of extract showed 50% reduction of in HepG2 cell line growth at 48 h of incubation. The whole plant of E. prostrata L. extract-induced apoptotic features of cell death was stained with acridine orange. The intracellular enzymatic antioxidants such as superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and catalase were slightly decreased in their activities when compared to control. Thus, the study resolves that E. prostrata L. extract is an effective to prevent or retard the spread of malignant cells and antineoplastic effect.

Date palm is a plant having high nutritional value and long life (yielding up to 100 years). Phoenix dactylifera requires 2-5 males for pollination of 100 females’ plant depending up on genetic and environment factors. Therefore paternity variation expected to very low according to PCR based techniques, Even though we have tried to find out genetic variation among tissue culture cloned plant. Tissue culture technique can be used for genetic improvement of date palm. The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the genetic variation in the tissue culture clones of date palm by using ISSR primers among mother and it’s two clones. The plant DNA was extracted and subjected to detection of genetic variation in two groups of date palm using ISSR primers. In this study ISSR primers produced monomorphic bands within group-1 and group-2. Genetic variation in tissue culture clones of date palm was not detecte by UBC primer series.

flanonoids, glycosides and sapogenins. The bioactive constituents or plants extracts may be uses for treatment of various
diseases and these would be used as a new formulation for the novel drugs discovery in pharmaceutical industries. This
review presents comprehensive information on the chemistry and pharmacology of the genus together with the traditional
uses of many of its plants. In addition, this review discusses the structure-activity relationship of different compounds as
well as recent developments and the scope for future research in this aspect.

production of these commodities. But, a major part of the yield is lost due to a number of factors. Post harvest decay due
to attack by a variety of pathogen is one of the main reason responsible for such losses. Most of the fruits and vegetable
are prone to attack by post harvest pathogens. But, perishable fruits are at maximum risk due high moisture content
present in them. Various control measures have been practiced against the fungal pathogens. Tradionally used methods
like irradiation, use of chemical fungicides etc. have certain environmental and health hazards associated with them.
Recent trends are shifting towards safe and consumer friendly strategies to control the post harvest decay of perishable
fruits. Presently, trends are focusing on enhancement of the shelf life of perishables along with the minimization of the
losses in quantitative as well as qualitative terms. In the recent past, a metamorphic change in the post harvest
management scenario has been observed. Emerging trends are aimed at use of biological control measures to combat the
post harvest losses.

various types of cells. Many scientists did research on such type of organisms and they concluded almost every
functioning of how micro-organisms actually work in a proper manner. Every organism has a particular morphology
which can be a factor to differentiate organism based on size but in this research, it has been found that how to measure
the weight of single cell whether the prokaryotic or eukaryotic cell, independent of other factors. Thus, by finding the
mass and relating with its size we can even find the density of organism, may be sometimes the size cannot be a factor to
detect how heavy the cell is!. Hence, using this technique one can differentiate various organisms based on their single
cell weight. Many applications can be found by the respective person if someone using this technique. One of application
is one can isolate aerobic bacteria also using this technique and can sub-culture it.

ABSTRACT- Road traffic accidents (RTA) are a continuing endemic occurrence both in the developed and developing
countries leading to one of the highest causes of mortality and morbidity. A Road Traffic Accident (RTA) can be defined
as, 'An event that occurs on a way or street open to public traffic; resulting in one or more persons being injured or killed,
where at least one moving vehicle is involved. The current study is a cross sectional study seen the pattern of injuries
occurred by RTA. Total numbers of 384 RTA victims were undertaken in this study at Lord Buddha Koshi Medical
College, Saharsa, Bihar, India from Jan 2016 to June 2016. Total numbers of 384 RTA victims were undertaken in this
study. Age & sex wise distribution were analyzed. Types of injury, causes, and outcome were also analyzed. In this study
we were concluded that the age and sex distribution is independent of accident occurrence. It is clear that fractures on
head & face are common in RTA. Fractures in lower limb & upper limb are also common in road traffic accidents. Present
study showed that the motorcyclist is at more risk. Various reports in India have shown that the outcome of RTA is not
only a health hazard but also an economic burden.

ABSTRACT- Due to the concern on the accessibility of recoverable fossil fuel resources and the environmental
problems caused by the use those fossil fuels, considerable attention has been given to biodiesel production as an
alternative to petro-diesel. In Iran, biodiesel can be as an optimum alternative fuel for diesel fuel. The biodiesel production
potential from oil seeds such as cottonseed, soybean, rapeseed, corn, sesame, olive, sunflower, safflower, almond, walnut
and hazelnut in Iran was investigated. Oil seeds are not commonly used for energy application in Iran. This is because of
noticeable resources of oil and natural gas in Iran and also most of the edible oil (almost 90%) is being imported for
human consumption. Purpose of this study is to cover several outlooks on the size of the biodiesel oil seeds resource in
Iran. In the present study, data was collected from Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture in 2014. Around Iran, 826708.6 ha of
land from 13 states are anticipated to be suitable land for cultivating of oil seeds. There are about 2.72 million tons of oil
seed crops in Iran that can potentially produce 408692.088 million litter of biodiesel every year. Cottonseed, soybean,
rapeseed, almond and olive are the most favourable biodiesel production source. In Iran, water is a main problem for
growing plants, therefore drought-resistant oil seed crops will be produced such as cotton, rapeseed, soybean and
safflower etc. Based on the results, drought-resistant oil seed crops can be grown in Iran and these oils can be used in
biodiesel production industry.

Retroperitoneal Ureterolithotomy (RPUL) & endoscopic urology and to assess its place in the spectrum of various surgical
interventions for ureteric calculi in a tertiary care center. This study was conducted on 25 selected patients of a single large
impacted calculus of size more than 10mm in upper and middle ureter. It was observed that conversion to open
ureterolithotomy was observed in 4 cases and excessive bleeding in one case. No major perioperative complications were
seen. The procedure has definitely shown decreased post-operative discomfort, decreased requirement of post-operative
analgesia, better cosmesis, early return to work and less morbidity.

ABSTRACT- Introduction- Fibroadenomas are the most common benign breast tumors, which typically present as a
mobile palpable breast lump. It accounts for approximately 75% of all breast lesions in young females. It can undergo a
variety of histological variations, Like Apocrine metaplasia, adenosis, leaf like pattern, stromal growth and myxoid
change. Therefore, this study was done to evaluate the clinico- histomorphological variations in fibroadenoma.
Materials and Methods- A retrospective study was done over a one year period from January 2015 to December 2015 at
S. Nijalingappa Medical College and HSK Hospital, Bagalkot, Karnataka, India. All cases of breast lump confirmed as a
fibroadenoma on histopathology were included in this study. A total of 224 cases were analyzed.
Results- The most common affected age group in the present study was 21- 30 years of age (50.45%). The majority of
them presented as a unilateral lump (56.70%) and very few bilateral (4.02%). The size varies between 3-5 cms and
commonly located in upper lateral quadrant (54.91%). The predominant growth pattern noted is mixed intracanalicular
and pericanalicular (55.35%). The common histological changes noted were stromal overgrowth (12.05%) followed by
apocrine metaplasia (9.37%) and cystic dilatation (8.92%). Rare variations such as lactational change (1.33%) and
infarction (1.78%) are also noted.
Conclusion- There is numerous clinico-histomorphological variations in fibroadenoma which can be confused with other
benign breast diseases. Therefore, a thorough knowledge of these changes is necessary for accurate diagnosis of
fibroadenoma.

rapid rate of industrialization have created problems of disposal of waste water products. The domestic wastes, excretory
materials of both human and animals and industrial effluents are discharged into the nearly lakes, rivers, reservoirs and
tanks and even in the catchment area of the above water bodies. The undesirable substances are regularly mixed into the
water of pond through surface run-off that degrades the water quality. Since last several years, there have been added an
array of agricultural pesticides and insecticides, which are further seriously aggravating the problem of pollution both for
public health and aquaculture. The detailed information of water quality and status of affected living organisms of water
bodies are necessary for the implementation of any management plan. The present investigation encompasses on plankton
identifying the ecological quality of Chhapakaiya pond Birgunj, Nepal. Seasonal sampling from all the sampling sites (site
A, B, C, D) in winter, summer and rainy season for period of 12 months (November 2014 – October 2015) at 9:00-11: 00
AM. A total of 27 taxa from different classes of zooplankton were reported. The zooplanktons were reported to be
maximum (774.4 unit/L) during summer and minimum (539.2 unit/L) during the rainy season in Chhapakaiya pond.

ABSTRACT- Introduction: Low back pain (LBP) is an important clinical, social, economic, and public health problem
affecting the population indiscriminately. It is a disorder with many possible etiologies, occurring in many groups of the
population, and with many definitions. Nearly everyone will experience some form of back pain in his or her lifetime.
Materials ans& Methods: The current study is a cross sectional study undertaken at Lord Buddha Koshi Medical
College, Saharsa, Bihar, India from Aug 2015 to Dec 2015. The objective of this study was to see the age specific
prevalence of low back pain among 400 subjects visiting the Orthopedics OPD of the hospital. The age range of the study
participants were 25 years to 65 years. The national guidelines of LBP diagnosis is used as diagnostic criteria.
Results: Overall prevalence of LBP was found as 31.25%. The highest prevalence was seen in 55-65 years age group.
Age had positive association & important risk factors of increasing burden of LBP.
Conclusion: LBP is an important health problem & affecting all age groups and it is responsible for a great economic loss
of any country.

ABSTRACT- The present investigation on the impact of fungicides on the growth and development of Spodoptera litura
was carried out in the laboratory of the Department of Entomology, SKUAST- Jammu, during the year 2012-13. Base-line
toxicity of two fungicides viz., mancozeb and ridomil MZ were evaluated against S. litura in the laboratory. The results
showed that fungicides significantly influenced the growth and development of S. litura. The larval development duration
was significantly short, and it was an average (14.61± 0.30), (16.28±0.66) days, when treated with ridomil, and mancozeb
respectively. The results show that fungicides can serve a practical tool to reduce the S.litura and may assume a greater
role in integrated programs showed to manage insect pests and pathogens.

ABSTRACT- The objective of our present study was to develop multiparticulate gastro retentive drug delivery system
of Curcumin. The gastro retentive drug delivery system can be formulated to improve the absorption and bio-availability
of curcumin by retaining the system into the stomach for prolonged period of time. The floating drug delivery system of
curcumin was prepared by emulsion solvent diffusion method by using ethyl cellulose, Eudragit L100, HPMC, Phyllium
husk polymers in varying concentration. Formulations were evaluated for percent yield, particle size, entrapment
efficiency, in vitro buoyancy as well as in vitro release studies. The optimized formulations show good buoyancy and in
vitro controlled release of Curcumin.

ABSTRACT- Background and Objectives: Heavy metals exposure in animals can lead to profound effects in growth
and development. There have been incidences of various teratogenic effects in the past due to heavy metals exposure from
various sources. The present study was conducted to access the effect of chronic heavy metals exposure in animal models.
Materials and Methods: An experimental prospective study was performed with viviparous animal Heterometrus
fulvipes to access the cumulative effect of chronic heavy metals exposure. H. fulvipes was exposed with mercury and
lead; and effects monitored and documented in different times.
Results: Chronic heavy metal exposure had considerable effects in mother and fetus of H. fulvipes. The effects in mother
were represented by the loss of body weight and decrease in hepato-pancreatic weight and hepato-somatic index. Chronic
exposure in fetus resulted in decrement in the embryonic length with subsequent reduction in the length and weight of
embryos.
Discussion: These studies and results of heavy metals in animal have proved the harmful effects of chronic heavy metal
exposure with multitude of questions. The question of particular concern would be that how well animal teratology studies
will predict the human hazard. The primary area of focus could be on the prevention of the birth defects induced by
maternal exposure to heavy metals during pregnancy, as well as early prevention of teratogenic effects.
Conclusion: It is necessary that the heavy metal toxicity be well documented in humans, and adequate precaution should
be taken in mother and fetus to decrease its detrimental effects in the long run.

ABSTRACT- The objective of our study is to determine its anti-inflammatory potential of protein extracted from the
stings of honey bee (Apis mellifera). In this study, protein extracted from the stings of Apis mellifera using Tris HCl/ice
cold acetone and determined through Nano drop method and then determined its Da protein using SDS-PAGE. In
addition, indirect ELISA was performed using rubella vaccine as coating antigen and determined its antibody titre using
variable concentration of sting protein (15.62-250 μg) and also determined its activity on human whole blood for
determining total cellular content and proliferation against rubella vaccine antigen. The results showed that protein from
stings of Apis mellifera showed drastic declined in antibody titre at higher doses but there is slightly enhancement in
antibody titre, total cellular content and proliferations at lower concentration as compared to control and rubella vaccine
(standard).Overall, this study suggest that stings protein of Apis mellifera showed anti-inflammatory potential against
rubella vaccine antigen.

ABSTRACT- Introduction: Importance of measurement of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) has been recommended for
the diagnosis of diabetes and pre-diabetes. However, various epidemiological studies conducted different parts of the
universe have shown significant discordance between HbA1c and glucose-based tests. Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) is
assumed to be the gold standard for monitoring glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus disorder. The Glycated
hemoglobin (HbA1c) assay provided an accurate, precise measure of chronic glycemic levels, and associates with the risk
of diabetes complications.
Materials and Methods: This is a cross sectional prospective study. A total of 868 individuals attended to the medicine
outpatient clinic at Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College, Saharsa, Bihar between Jan 2016 to Dec 2016 were selected for
the study after screening a large cohort visited OPD. The results of FPG, OGTT, and HbA1c for 868 individual were
analyzed as well as all grouped as diabetic patients, glucose intolerant (pre-diabetes) patients, and non-diabetic patients
according to new ADA criteria for the diagnosis of diabetes.
Results: Diagnostic sensitivity of all diabetic criteria were 80.33% for A1c; 75% for OGTT and only 41.87% for FPG
respectively.
Conclusion: The proposed A1c diagnostic criteria have greater diagnostic than FPG and 2-h OGTT regarding a diagnosis
of diabetes mellitus disorder.

Cancer is a major cause of death and the number of new cases, as well as the number of individuals living with cancer, is expanding continuously. Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers among women worldwide . Tuberculosis is a common and often deadly infectious disease caused by mycobacteria , usually Mycobacterium tuberculosis in humans. Tuberculosis usually attacks the lungs but can also affect other parts of the body. The phytochemicals of Gloriosa superba are analysed and optimized with the Arguslab to investigate the interactions between the target compounds and the amino acid residues of the E7 and DAHP. All the compound have shown binding pose between from – 3.25 to -7.95 and -7.95 into -11.40 out of ten compound .Chrysophanic acid with E7 protein and Colchicine with DAHP protein show best ligand energy -9.52049 and -7.47679Kcal/mol with 1 and 3 hydrogen bond of distance is 2.3 and 2.2,2.9 and 3.2 respectively .

132,000 new cases and mortality rate of 74,000 deaths annually. In this study turmeric, neem, tulasi and ginger were
selected as natural anticancer drugs. The objective of the study was to analyze the anticancer property of turmeric
(Curcuma longa), neem (Azadirachta indica), tulasi (Occimum sanctum) and ginger (Zingiber officinale) on HeLa cells.
Turmeric, neem, tulasi and ginger capsules (Himalaya’s Company) were used and aqueous and methanolic extracts of the
turmeric, neem, tulasi and ginger were obtained using a soxhlet extraction. To check the efficacy of these drug MTT assay
was performed, that determines % viability and/or cytotoxicity. IC50 of aqueous turmeric, neem, tulasi and ginger extracts
in case of HeLa cells were 17.8, 22, 79.4, 27.86 respectively and in case of methanolic turmeric, neem, tulasi and ginger
extracts 17, 7.35, 75.24 and 16.1 respectively. To confirm apoptosis as the sole reason behind cell death
immunofluorescence based apoptosis assay was performed using TALI image based cytometer. The study has led to
postulate hypothesis that natural drugs e.g. turmeric, neem, tulasi and ginger are potent anti-cancer compound that are

Background: Cancer is a disease caused when cells divide uncontrollably and spread into the surrounding tissue. Changes to DNA cause cancer. It is one of the most common and largest killer diseases in the world. It usually affects physically, and the disease can alter one’s perspective on life and personality. Many treatment options are there to treat cancer. Among them, chemotherapy treatment may have more side effects like lethargy, esophagitis, nausea, vomiting, Fatigue, and insomnia, the most common problems among chemotherapy patients in India. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a sample size of 60, out of which 30 subjects were in the experimental group and 30 were in the control group. A convenient sampling method was used to select the subjects. A structured questionnaire tool was used to collect the data. Result: The result of the study showed that, during pre-test in the study group, among 30 subjects 3(10%) had moderate Fatigue, 22(73.33%) had severe Fatigue, 5(16.67%) had worst Fatigue and 12(40%) had moderate insomnia, 18(60%) had severe insomnia and in control group among 30 subjects, 6(20%) had moderate Fatigue, 13(43.33%) had severe Fatigue, 11(36.67%) had a worst fatigue, and 14(46.67%) had moderate insomnia, 16(53.33%) had severe insomnia. With post-test, in experimental group, 14(46.67%) had no fatigue, 16(53.33%) had mild fatigue, 14(46.67%) had no insomnia, 16(53.33%) had mild insomnia, and in control group, 6(20%) had moderate fatigue, 13(43.33%) had extreme fatigue, 11(36.67%) had worst fatigue, and 14(46.67%) had moderate insomnia, 16(53.33%) had severe insomnia. Conclusion: The study concluded that clients who were receiving chemotherapy had fatigue and insomnia problems. The Warm water foot bath therapy is very effective in clients undergoing chemotherapy in reducing Fatigue and insomnia. A positive correlation between pre-test and post-test was found by using the Mann-Whitney test.

alcohol abuse annually. Alcoholic liver disease (A.L.D.) ranges from steatosis to liver cirrhosis. Chronic heavy drinkers get hepatitis
or cirrhosis 15 20% of the time
Methods: This study was c onducted in the general medicine inpatient department at PGIMER & C . in Bhubaneswar, Odisha,
Indi a. All hospitali z ed patients with liver illness who had previously t aken alcohol were screened. Each patient's alcohol
consumption, including native alcoholic beverages, was recorded. To support the diagnosis, all standard and extra examination s
were carri ed out. The modified Kuppuswamy scale was used to determine s s ocioeconomic class.
Results: The study comprised 186 participants with a median age of 46. The gender ratio was 3:1, with 139 (74.7%) men. Urban
populations have a greater prevalence of alcohol ic liver disease (60.75%) than rural populations (39.24%). The l ower
s ocioeconomic c lass (50.53%) has the highest rate of alcoholic liver disease. Men drink more (>700 gm/wk) and married people
drink more. A woman who drinks 140 280 grams per week for 10 1 5 years is more likely to develop alcoholic liver disease than a
man who drinks >700 grams per week for 15 years.
Conclusions: In this study, we conclude d that the prevalence of A .L. about S .E. is of utmost importance in developing
population based st r ategies that effectively educate individuals on the need to modify their drinking habits. This is crucial to
mitigate the occurrence of alcohol consumption and its associated repercussions.

Background: One of the most common disorders in this age group, abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB), is the primary cause of most gynaecological problems in adolescents. Unfortunately, epidemiological data on AUB in teenagers is scarce, especially in the Indian subcontinent. The PALM-COEIN classification, where PALM stands for structural reasons and COEIN for functional causes, was employed in this single-center prospective observational study to evaluate the relative contributions of several etiological factors in AUB. To comprehend the etiological, dermographic, and therapeutic factors affecting menorrhagia in patients going through adolescence. Methods: Enrollment for females with AUB between 10 and 19 occurred between January and December 2022. A thorough history, physical examination, and laboratory evaluation, which in every case comprised standard testing, hormone analysis, and abdominal and pelvic ultrasonography were used to determine the cause of AUB. MRIs and CT scans were performed when needed. Results: There were 190 patients enrolled in total. Functional factors comprised the predominant aetiology of AUB among adolescent females: Adenomyosis=01 (0.52%), Polyp=1 (0.52%). Coagulopathy=2 (1.05%), Leomyoma=01 (0.52%), Malignancy=1 (0.52%), and PALM=4 (2.11%). COEIN=186 (97.89%), ovulation disorder=175 (92.15%), endometrial=01 (0.52%), iatrogenic=6 (3.15%), non-specified=2 (1.05%), and iatrogenic=6 (3.15%). Conclusion: The most frequent cause of AUB in the adolescent population is ovulatory abnormalities. Even though they are extremely rare, structural factors must be ruled out. A helpful technique for evaluating patients with AUB systematically is the PALM-COEIN classification.

Background: Adolescent is one of the most rapid phases of human development. Anemia is a deficiency in the number of RBC in your body. RBC carry oxygen around your body using a particular protein called hemoglobin. Normal hemoglobin level in adolescent girls 13-15 g/dl. According to WHO, the hemoglobin level 10- 11.9 g/dl is considered mild anemia, 7-9 g/dl is considered moderate, and less than 7 g/dl is called severe anemia. Methods: The present study is pre-experimental among 60 adolescent girls, using a disproportional stratified random technique. One experimental group of clients was selected without randomization and no control group was used. The data was collected by using the structured close-ended knowledge questionnaire. The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics regarding mean, frequency distribution, percentage, paired table t-test and chi-square test. Results: The overall findings reveal that the post-test knowledge mean score 26.24% with SD±5.94, which was 72% of the total score was more when compared to the pre-test knowledge mean score 12.98 with SD 5.94, which was 36.83% of total score. The calculated t-value of 24.91 was much higher than the table t-value 1.96 for the hypothesis. Conclusion: The study provides that VATP on knowledge regarding the preparation and use of moringa juice in managing anemia among adolescent girls was the scientific, logical and cost-effective strategy.

Conclusion: This study concluded that video-assisted teaching programmes on knowledge regarding waterbirth among B.Sc 4th year Nursing students was the scientific, logical and cost-effective strategy.

Hence, foot reflexology seems to be effective in treating post-menopausal symptoms. Methods: In the present study, pre-experimental i.e. one group pretest-posttest design, was adopted. The study was conducted on 30 post-menopausal women to assess their knowledge regarding foot reflexology. Samples were selected by using a convenient sampling technique. Data was collected using a structured knowledge questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The mean percentage of the pre-test score was 28%, and the post-test score was 76.65%. The mean and the standard deviation of the pre-test score were 5.60±1.71, and the mean and the standard deviation of the post-test score were 15.33±1.15. The total mean and standard deviation are 9.73±2.07 by comparing the pre-test and post-test scores. Hence, it was found that there is a significant difference between pre-test and post-test knowledge scores of post-menopausal women regarding foot reflexology. No significant association was found between post-test knowledge scores and socio-demographic variables on foot reflexology. Conclusion: The study concluded that a planned teaching program on knowledge regarding foot reflexology for post-menopausal women was a scientific, logical, and cost-effective strategy to reduce post-menopausal symptoms.

Background: A 51-year-old woman had left lower abdomen pain for 18 hours with nausea and vomiting. Prior CT scans suggested pelvic neoplasms. Our hospital's emergency CT showed an enlarged uterus with cystic shadows, right adnexal cysts, and stomach fluid. Physical examination revealed left lower abdomen discomfort. A gynaecological examination revealed a painful, firm pelvic mass of 151210 cm. Further diagnosis is underway. Method: The patient underwent emergency exploratory laparotomy, discovering a twisted, swollen left ovary with a 540° rotation, classified as a benign cyst. It was found that the patient had congenital upper vaginal atresia and bilateral initial uteri. Pain was reduced after surgery, thanks to symptomatic treatment. An abnormal karyotype of 46, XX,1qh+ was found during genetic testing. Result: Fallopian tubes, uterus, and vagina develop from the embryonic accessory mesonephric duct. MRKH syndrome is caused by bilateral accessory mesonephric duct dysplasia and disappearance of the uterus or vagina. MRKH has three types, with Type 1 lacking uterus or vagina. Due to ovarian cyst torsion, this Type 1 MRKH with double initial uterus and upper vaginal atresia needed left adnexa resection. Genetic testing showed a typical female karyotype. MRKH's complex aetiology incorporates chromosomal abnormalities, emphasizing early cytogenetic evaluation for personalized treatment and fertility assistance. Conclusion: Early cytogenetic testing for MRKH syndrome patients is crucial for determining the underlying cause and guiding personalized treatment plans to restore reproductive function and improve quality of life.

Cell phones are utilised for correspondence, diversion, efficiency, interpersonal interaction, and gaming. In addition to supplanting the conventional cells, cell phones have likewise supplanted personal computers and numerous other comparative gadgets. Individuals these days feel indistinguishable from their cell phones. In lined with the rising improvement of innovation and excessive utilisation of cell phones, one of the significant issues that scientists have noticed and are chipping away at is cell phone addiction. Methods: It was a graphic study directed among 100 nursing students aged 19-22 in B.V.V.S. Institute of Nursing Sciences Bagalkot. Information was gathered utilising a structured knowledge questionnaire to survey socio-demographic information. The Stanford Sleepiness Scale (Alertness Test) was utilised to evaluate the classroom alertness of the nursing students and the Cell phone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV) was utilised to assess the cell addiction of the nursing students. Results: An association was found between the year of studying and the classroom alertness of students (χ2 =3.9102) p<0.05. There was a significant negative correlation between cell phone addiction and classroom alertness of the nursing students, p<0.05. The r-value obtained was 0.80. Thus, the correlation between the two factors is seen as statistically significant. Background: Chemical changes occur in the epididymis when the testicular sperm grows. When sperm and seminal fluids mix during ejaculation, a substance called semen is formed. The cervical mucus of a fertilized egg screens out the best possible sperm. For infertility, Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) can be necessary. Test sperm that are DNA efficient, normal, and motile using Swim Up. Sperm could be damaged by reactive oxygen species that are produced during centrifugation. All infertility treatments should take these factors into account. Methods: The in vitro fertilization (ICSI) procedure was administered to fifty male patients who were 35 years old or younger and tested positive for normozoospermia, asthenozoospermia, and oligozoospermia. After obtaining informed consent, a Swim-Up was performed using both the full semen and a washed pellet. With sperm obtained from both methods, six Metaphase-2 stages of oocytes (MII oocytes) were implanted in each patient. A Tri-gas Bench-top incubator was used to put each injected oocyte in its 37°C setting. Results: The study showed that the age differences were insignificant (p=0.722), but significant variations emerged in sperm concentration before processing (p=1.030) and after (p=1.064). Sperm morphology differences were evident before processing (p=0.004) and after (p=0.002). No significant differences were noted in the number of Day 3 cleavage stage embryos. Conclusion: The study concluded that there is no significant difference between the two techniques regarding sperm washing efficiency.

Background: The third most common musculoskeletal symptom in orthopaedic clinical practice is a sore shoulder, which can cause significant morbidity. It has been reported that 7–27% of the general population has it, and 36–66% of overhead arm athletes have it. Pathophysiology includes functional, degenerative, and mechanical factors. Most shoulder pain is subacromial pain syndrome (SAPS), often known as ‘shoulder impingement syndrome’. Impingement hypothesis: shoulder joint structures mechanically clash. SAPS accounts for 36–48% of shoulder discomfort. Methods: This observational study was conducted in the Department of Orthopaedics, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, among Eastern Indian outpatients. The study included adult patients (ages 18–75) of both sexes who presented to MKCG Medical College and Hospital's OPD with shoulder pain from December 2020 to November 2022 and were diagnosed with Shoulder Impingement Syndrome (SIS). Thorough histories and clinical exams were done. The Department of Radiology, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, performed conventional shoulder MRIs on the selected participants. Results: Most cases and controls were Type-II (43.3%), followed by Type-I (28.3% and 30%, 29.2% of the total group). The study's least common acromial shape was type-IV, seen in 5% of cases and 10% of controls (7.5% of the sample). Fisher's exact test showed no significant connection between subacromial impingement and acromial shape (p=0.65). With a p-value of 0.045, cases had a significantly greater acromial width (8.12±2.16 mm) than controls (7.51±0.81 mm). Conclusion: Sub-acromial impingement was unrelated to acromion morphology. There was no correlation between acromial morphology and rotator cuff injuries.
