1. Target audience
I have done some research on what target audience dance music is aimed at. I have found
that in general, there is less of a specific audience than a genre such as heavy metal
however, the aimed age seems to be between 16-25. Research has shown that the UK’s
biggest dance music magazine has most readers aged 24 where 72% are male. This type of
target audience are also usually the first to be in with a new craze, wear the latest fashion
and have the most up to date technology. They are happy to spend their income on nights
out and are the biggest downloaders of dance music in the UK.
From this information I have decided to make a female and male I believe will fit into this
target audience, where these people will be who my music video is aimed at.
My music video will also be targeted mainly at snowboarders who enjoy high speed runs
and a range of different skills.
