Editor's Notes

  • #24 We hear lots of folks talk about iG and actually ask the question: Where am “I” in iG? Well, iG impacts everyone. It starts with jobs—you just heard about the successes that these local innovation companies are experiencing. When we create an environment where companies can and are successful, then we allow them to put roots in our community and to grow. These companies grow revenues and in turn, grow jobs. When we create jobs, we give people opportunity. Opportunity to make a living, have a good income and therefore have money to put into local banks, to buy homes from local realtors, to eat at restaurants, to go to the Hipp to give to the many good charitable causes we have in our community. There is something in iG for everyone…look at the ripple effect - having high-quality, high-wage jobs is a win for our whole community.
