Statistical software programs are used to analyze, organize, and present data. Some popular statistical software packages include SPSS, R, MATLAB, Microsoft Excel, SAS, GraphPad Prism, and Minitab. Another statistical software package is CoStat, which can analyze different data types and import data from various file formats. It uses procedures like ANOVA for data analysis. CoStat costs $140 for a license. Statistica is also a powerful statistical software that provides data analysis, management, mining and visualization tools. It has a customizable interface and supports programming for customization. Statistica allows analyzing large datasets without limits.

In this ppt the viewer will able to understand about SAS software. It is a statistical software suite developed by SAS Institute for data management. SAS was developed at North Carolina State University from 1966 until 1976, when SAS Institute was incorporated. SAS was further developed in the 1980s and 1990s with the addition of new statistical procedures, additional components and the introduction of JMP. A point-and-click interface was added in version 9 in 2004. A social media analytics product was added in 2010.

This study deals with the most important aspects of software in SPSS stands for "Statistical Package for the Social Sciences". It's a very powerful program that can do all of the statistics that you are ever likely to want to use. When it comes to giving you statistical results, it will give you what you want - as well as a lot of extra stuff that you may not need! The secret to using SPSS is to take it one small step at a time. This paper discusses the objectives of SPSS,Statistics included in the base software, How to use of SPSS, Feature of SPSS and Statistics Application for Software and IBM SPSSstatistics.
Factors affecting Design of Experiment (DOE) and softwares of DOED.R. Chandravanshi
What is an experiment ?
An experiment refers to any process that generates a set of data.
An experiment involves a test or series of test in which purposeful changes are made to the input variables of a process or system so that changes in the output responses can be observed and identified.

2. Statistical software are programs which are used for
the statistical analysis of the collection, organization, analysis,
interpretation and presentation of data.
The Top 7 Statistical Tools You Need to Make Your Data
Shine
SPSS (IBM) ...
R (R Foundation for Statistical Computing) ...
MATLAB (The MathWorks) ...
Microsoft Excel. ...
SAS (Statistical Analysis Software) ...
GraphPad Prism. ...
Minitab.
3. COSTAT
COSTAT is easy-to-use for data manipulation and statistical analysis
(descriptive statistics, GLM ANOVA, regression, analysis of frequency data,
nonparametric tests, etc.).
COSTAT is a program used for the statistical analysis of biological sciences to
analyse the data.
It is a DOS based software, however can also be run in Windows having
system type of 32-bit operating system.
To interpret the results, there is need to analyse the data by using COSTAT
statistical software.
The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) is employed to analyse the data then this
data is interpreted in results.
There are different types of ANOVA (One way analysis of variance is a way to
test the equality of three or more means at one time by using variances and two
way analysis of variance is an extension to the one-way analysis of variance.
There are two independent variables, hence the name two-way), and tests such
as Duncan's Multiple Range Test, applicable to an experimental data. In
COSTAT, Variables means number of parameters (e.g. Shoot Height, Shoot
Weight, Root Height, Root Weight etc.) under study.
COSTAT can analyse three factors at a time.
CoStat Version 6.45 is an easy-to-use program for data manipulation and
statistical analysis.
CoStat is included with CoPlot, but is also sold separately
4. Work with huge data files, limited only by your computer's memory.
CoStat's spreadsheets can contain different types of data (floating point, integer, date, time, degrees,
text, etc.).
Import data from almost anywhere.
Import ASCII, Excel, MATLAB, S+, SAS, GenStat, Fortran, and many other types of data files.
Manipulate the data any way you want.
CoStat has lots of procedures for transforming the data, rearranging it, etc.
Analyse the data with a wide range of statistical procedures.
CoStat has ANOVA, multiple comparisons of means, correlation, descriptive statistics, analysis of
frequency data, miscellaneous tests of hypotheses, nonparametric tests, regression (curve fitting)
(world's best subset selection in multiple regression), statistical tables, and utilities.
Automate repetitive tasks with macros.
CoStat can auto-record your actions in simple macros, or you can program sophisticated macros with
the macro programming language.
Use CoStat from the command line, batch files, shell scripts, pipes, and other programs.
If you bypass the graphical front end of CoStat, you can use CoStat as the statistics engine for your
programs on a web site.
Another powerful statistical software for data manipulation and analysis is CoStat. CoStat can
analyse different types of data including degrees, date, time, text, floating points, and many others.
Data can be imported from almost all types of files. It also uses a wide range of procedures to analyze
data. A CoStat license costs $140.
5. STATISTICA
Statistica provides data analysis, data management, statistics, data mining, machine learning, text
analytics and data visualization procedures.
STATISTICA is a statistics and analytics software package developed by Stat Soft.
STATISTICA provides data analysis, data management, statistics, data mining, and data visualization
procedures.
STATISTICA product categories include Enterprise (for use across a site or organization), Concurrent
Network Desktop, and Single-User Desktop.
STATISTICA Base provides you with the essentials of statistical methods, like statistical indicators,
correlation and variance analysis (for more details view the "Features" tab).
STATISTICA is a user-friendly, versatile and powerful software for a great area of applications. The
software is extendible with various "Special Products" to meet even the most exceptional needs of
customers.
6. STATISTICA - Graphic Tools
STATISTICA includes analytic and exploratory graphs in addition to standard 2- and 3-dimensional
graphs. Brushing actions (interactive labelling, marking, and data exclusion) allow for investigation of
outliers and exploratory data analysis.
7. Efficient User Interface and Templates
The user interface can be customized, for
example, for routine tasks.
Quickly accessible tabs containing only the
relevant options, more advanced tabs contain
all the more secialized options.
Furthermore STATISTICA gives you the
oppurtinity to save your work at any point to
continue later on (including all open windows,
dialogs, etc.).
8. High-Value Graphics for
Presentations
STATISTICA comes with more than
100 different 2D and 3D graphics and
has a wealth of graphical tools.
Additionally, the software provides
hierarchical graph style libraries and
supports connections to multimedia
objects.
Through Visual Basic and other
supported programming languages,
STATISTICA allows the creation and
editing of high-quality custom graphics.
9. Efficient Data management
Organize your documents (STATISTICA graphics, spreadsheets,
Excel, Word, etc.) into highly manageable workbooks.
With the tree structure you have a clear view on all of your
documents within the workbook and can quickly adjust and edit
them if needed.
Outputs can be directly exported to Microsoft Word. Moreover
STATISTICA supports outputs to PDF- and RTF-files and allows
you to customize them by dragging objects with the mouse.
10. Virtually No System Limits
STATISTICA is a comprehensive system with virtually no
limits: Create text values, variable names, labels, etc. without any
limitation of characters.
Analyze an unlimited number of variables and cases. Perform
multiple analyzes simultaneously.
With STATISTCA's powerful speed optimizations you can
calculate terabytes of data.
