Yu-Gi-Oh Game Analysis
1. In the game of Yu Gi Oh, there is a lot of give and take when it comes to cards. When determining
whether a card is good or not, I often look at just the good parts of the effect and not the drawbacks.
For example, there is a card called Card of Demise. This card allows you to draw until you have 3
cards in your hand, but you cannot do damage to your opponent for the rest of the turn, you send your
entire hand to the Graveyard during the End Phase, and you cannot Special Summon during the turn
you activate this card. While there are some clear negatives to the card, I overlook those and really
only look at the fact that you can draw up to 3 cards, which is unprecedented in Yu Gi Oh. While the
creators of the card, Konami, try to make Card ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One cannot see the Yu Gi Oh community without a glimpse of bandwagon. While in the card game
almost anything can be played within the entire 20 year history, people often flock to bandwagoning
the quote best decks. It has even gotten to the point where people come up with a Tier List to place
decks from best to worst, but these list are subjective. While there is potential for any deck to do well
in a tournament, one will see the same decks top because of the numbers that represent those decks at
a tournament because of bandwagoning. With groupthink, the community believes those decks to be
the best and are the decks that are looked at when it is time to hit cards on the Ban

Relationships In Dante s Inferno And Gunther
Throughout this semester all of the assigned texts have relationships between characters. There was
female female, male female, and male male relationships. Each of these categories drive the plot with
the use of relationships and bonds typically found between the characters. Today let us focus on male
male groupings and how their relationships were written and interpreted. Since there are many
different pairs to choose from I will be focusing on Dante and Virgil,Siegfried and Gunther, as well as
Roland and Charlemagne. Each of these relationships have similarities and differences that highlight
and expand upon the character s traits. To start off with in The Divine Comedy, Dante and Virgil s
relationship can be interpreted as Guide and pupil, pseudo familial, or even of a tyrant. The
relationship demonstrated from the first page describes
And I to him: Poet, I beg of you, in the name of God, that God you never knew, save me from this evil
place and worse, lead me there to the place you spoke about that I may see the gate Saint Peter guards
and those whose anguish you have told me of. Then he moved on, and I moved close behind him. (Inf

The Poisoner s Handbook By Deborah Blums Best Selling Book
The film that I am reviewing, title The Poisoner s Handbook, is based on Deborah Blums best selling
book, of the same title, which reflects on the most notorious cases between the years of 1918 and 1959
that were handled by Charles Norris, the chief medical examiner for New York City, also known and
described by his peers as the father of forensic toxicology in America, and Alexander Oscar Gettler,
toxicologist with the Office of Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York, such as the fatal
radium poisoning of the factory workers who contracted radiation poisoning from painting watch dials
with self luminous paint at the Orange, New Jersey watch factory around the year 1917 and other
cases that involve dangerous poisons, like arsenic, methanol, lead, carbon monoxide, denatured
alcohol, radium and thallium. Their renowned work led to tougher regulations by the government and
the creation of the Food and Drug Administration. The film depicts how the average American s
medicine cabinet, in the early 1900s, was a treasure chest of dangerous poisons that could make you
ill, put you in a coma, and even kill you. These poisons were readily found in health tonics, depilatory
creams, teething medicine, and cleaning supplies.
In the early 1920s, medical examiners and coroners were appointed by the mayor and were
responsible for investigating every suspicious death in New York City. The position was a political
one and anyone, including musicians, painters, milkmen could

The Legacy Of Health Insurance
As an individual becomes a part of something it is almost always necessary to comprehend the history
and reasoning behind the way things are being completed in today s world. With this being said, the
history of health insurance has flourished throughout the centuries. With health insurance being one of
the most needed household items, in the 1920s, the situation was somewhat a different story. In 1919,
there was a study directed in Illinois to show that the wages that were lost from the individuals being
out sick were actually four times larger than the incidentals linked with curing the illness. As the
world was moving forward so was the need for health insurance. In the 1929, a group of Dallas school
teachers made an agreement with the Baylor hospital to arrange for 21 days of hospitalization for $6
per year. Then in 1930, blue shield came into the insurance world with plans for people using
physician services. With blue shield becoming an available insurance company, the businessmen soon
realized that those who worked a job were healthier and better for business. Further marketable
carriers began to raise the value of the business sense and they soon began to outperform blue
cross/blue shield. As the insurance companies were becoming a booming business, in 1954, section
105 was added to the internal revenue code. This allows an employer to offer a plan to reimburse
employees, medical expenses which include insurance premiums. Developments in medical

Outsourcing And Re Shoring Production
A globalizing economy along with cheap telecommunications technology is making it effortless for
countless occupations that were formerly invulnerable to offshoring to be sent overseas. As
globalization advances, the off shoring movement is likely to escalate as well. Nonetheless, numerous
manufacturing companies such as Caterpillar, Bosh, and Phillips have disclosed that they will return
part of their off shored production to their home countries.(When Manufacturing moves back 1)
Throughout this paper I will discuss the politics of offshoring and re shoring production as well as
reflect on globalized production and how these concepts will play out politically. The impact of
offshoring is not a new topic in the global business world. Offshoring has matured into a high profile
argument over the last few decades. As a result of offshoring, countries like the United States have
exported countless jobs to foreign countries. As technology improves as well as the modernization of
countries such as China and India higher numbers of service jobs will be moved offshore (The Next
Industrial Revolution.) Although offshoring has delivered enormous economic benefits, it also has
created a heavy political toll. Offshoring has led to increased amount of jobs and rising standards of
living in for laborers in low cost countries, rich world workers have been able to leave the grunt work
to someone else, and companies with lower labor cost have brought higher profits. Western consumers

An Opinion Assesses Fancy Fertiliser s Liability Under...
TO: Olo Dictum and Areta Obiter, Senior partners
FROM: Kate Thompson
RE: Damage from Contamination
This opinion assesses Fancy Fertiliser s liability under the rule in Ryland s and Fletcher.
Was the hydrofluorosilicic acid likely to cause mischief?
The rule established in Ryland s and fletcher is that anything likely to cause mischief, if it escapes
refers to beasts, or water, or filth, or stenches. In the case of Cambridge Water Co and Eastern
Counties Leather, the chemical perchloroethene (for tanning leather) was the culprit of contamination
and it was ruled that it was included as something used to cause mischief if it escaped. We can use this
ruling to decide that the hydrofluorosilicic acid was likely to cause mischief.
Did the hydrofluorosilicic acid escape?
In the case of Read and Lyons, escape was defined as where a thing goes from an area under the
defendants control to an area outside their control. In both instances of the chemical entering the
student flats and from the truck to the toitū early settler s museum the chemicals had left the
defendants facility to an area outside of their control. Therefore it can be established that the chemical
did indeed escape.
Was the hydrofluorosilicic acid brought onto the land?
In Ryland s and Fletcher it is established that it is a necessity for absolute liability therefore the literal
interpretation be taken; being that they introduced something onto the land that was not there before.
In this case the fertiliser and

The Epic Of America By James Truslow Adams
The American Dream has existed since the 16th century. For some, it was a matter of promoting that
America was a land of plenty, for others, a land of opportunity and for a third group, land of destiny.
However, it was not until 1931, when James Truslow Adams wrote the book The Epic of America, that
the concept was established. It ended by defining itself as equal opportunities and the freedom that
allows all citizens to achieve their goals in life only with effort and determination. Today, more than
eight decades later, it is still spoken of an American Dream, but not all the inhabitants of the United
States refer to it as the same thing. Different groups, different types of life, different obstacles.
Immigrants from all over the world ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The goal of every human being is to satisfy his needs and those of his family. However many times
this is not achieved, and this causes despair and anguish, which is reflected in the mobilizations of
people. Faced with this situation, the only thing left is to look for its new sources of income abroad,
elements that help you to stay alive in this world, and help create a more optimistic future for the next
generation.
To discuss immigration, not to speculate, is to talk about the reality that the immigrant passes, both in
the United States or in his native country. The history of humanity shows us that one migrates out of
necessity, to get something for survival, that s why we went from place to place, in order to find food.
Epicurus said; That the first pleasure that the human being seeks is the pleasure of the stomach. Our
reality shows us that we have two types; pleasure and pain. Those who migrate are not because they
want to continue suffering but because they seek wellness or happiness, that is why some even risk
their life when leaving their country.
Flaviano Bianchini says in his book, The migrant is one who rebels against a conception according to
which the poor born should not touch the egg to which he was born rich. The narrative avoids
adornments and rhetoric. It is clear of drama and sensationalism. There is no trace of epic or
complacency. Bianchini does not present himself as the savior of the rights of migrants who will make

1.1. Identify the different reasons people communicate
Communication is a two way process and is the basis of all relationships irrelevant of the nature of
communication. There is an array of reasons why people communicate such as to develop
relationships or to share information with one another. People communicate in order to reach out to
one another and express feelings, emotions and their opinions. These different reasons stated, amongst

It s important to observe the person you want to communicate with in order to see how they
communicate and how it may differ from you. Through observation, it s possible to establish which
language is being used, any sensory impairment and/or any disability be it physical, developmental or
cognitive. These characteristics may determine the use and/or interpretation of communication so it s
vital to understand and know each individual needs so effective communication can be made. For
example, when there is a language barrier, gestures and facial expressions may be emphasised when
trying to communicate towards one another or those with a hearing impairment may use sign language
along with those movements to be able to communicate effectively. People use all types of
communication methods so although observation is important, one should also consult other
colleagues and professionals who have worked with the individual and view case notes to gain more
background knowledge on the communication means most effective for them. It s important to
acknowledge that factors such as tone, personal space and posture can also affect the way people
interpret what you are trying to convey to them so this needs to be taken into account also when

must rely on grasses and other small plants for xylem. Cicadas are able to get nutrition from the xylem

insects. An insect that is known for hunting and eating cicadas is called Cicada killer wasps. They hunt

Human Genome Modification Essay
The warrant in my position is the evidence and testimonies of the success in human genome
modification. According to my sources in my annotated bibliography, human genome modification
has granted infants a second chance of life. Diseases that lie within an embryo from the parents can be
extracted and destroyed to prevent premature deaths. This procedure can prevent the embryo from
spreading a mutation or disease to their offspring in the future. Additionally, the different aspects of
my sources covers questions regarding how the procedure is done, ethics, the benefits, and successful
testimonies. The procedures are conducted by scientists and doctors who follow the restrictions on
human genome research of their respective counties. Furthermore, ... Show more content on

Since scientists and doctors nearly mastered the procedure, ethicists are concerned that curiosity may
result in further customizations of physical features of an embryo or, the new liberal eugenics. For
example, some parents may be open to the option of changing their child s eye color, natural physical
skills, hair color, and number of fingers. However, this is nearly impossible to do since authors of
scholarly journals, articles, and periodicals that supported my claim proved otherwise since
restrictions of human genome research is prominent by governments where this research is aloud.
Therefore, this warrant supports my claim the eugenics won t reemerge from human genome
modification since the government has existing regulations to prevent and punish any experiments
leading to the horrifying acts of eugenics. As I mentioned above, since this life saving research was
conducted on embryos, researchers have found new ways eliminate existing mutations and diseases.
For example, if an embryo developed a blood disorder, the scientist would be able to prevent the soon
to be infant from premature death or passing it on to its offsprings in the future. The sources that were
used in my annotated bibliography are all primary examples of the unlikely emergence

Soccer Is The Greatest Sport Essay
There are many sports in the world today, and each involves different skills in order to play. This
brings a controversial question then: which sport is the greatest? Soccer is the greatest sport due to the
fact that soccer is also an easy sport to learn. Almost every child played soccer when they were little.
There are no true height requirements in order to play soccer. You do not have to be the tallest player
out there to be the best. One of the most rewarding things about soccer is that it is a team sport, which
requires players to work together. One of the main concerns for parents when their kids play a sport is
how much will the sport cost? Soccer is one of the cheapest sports. Unlike many other sports, soccer is
one of the only sports where the clock doesn t stop. Therefore, soccer is the greatest sport. One of the
interviewees, Garrett (age 20), said, I do not think that soccer is the greatest sport. It gets
overshadowed by other sports, for example, baseball and football. In this paper, I will explain why
soccer is the greatest sport.
First of all, soccer is the greatest sport because it is a very easy sport to learn. If children are taught the
rules at a young age, then anyone can understand them. In my personal experience, the rules for soccer
were easy to learn because there were not too many to learn. I had to work very hard to develop the
skills for soccer. I was a referee for little kids and almost all of them understood the rules that went

Critical Analysis Of Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken
Critical Analysis of Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken
The speaker in Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken gives the reader insight into human nature with
each line of poetry. While, Frost had not originally intended for this to be an inspirational poem, line
by line, the speaker is encouraging each reader to seek out his or her own personal path in the journey
of life. Romanticizing the rural woods of New England creates the perfect setting for the theme of self
discovery laid out and described by the speaker.
Robert Frost s original intent in writing the poem was not to convey the inspiration that it has for
almost a hundred years. He had written the poem to poke fun at his friend, Edward Thomas, with
whom he had taken many walks. Thomas was hesitant and always wondering what would happen if he
had chosen a different path (http://www.yoga.com/raw/readings/frost_road.html). In fact, Frost sent
the poem to his friend, then in France, and got the response, ?What are you trying to do with me??
(http://www.libarts.sfasu.edu/Frost/PopPoems.html). However, Frost did see the impact the poem was
having and stated, Do not follow where the path may lead?Go instead where there is no path and leave
a trail.
The speaker communicates many things in the first stanza of the poem. The first line, ?Two roads
diverged in a yellow wood,? uses imagery with the color yellow, the color of gold, to show that the
speaker sees an opportunity ahead of him. The two roads symbolizes the choices and consequences he
must choose. The next line, ?And sorry I could not travel both,? illustrates how difficult it is to make a
choice. It is impossible not to wonder what could happen by choosing the other road and what he
could be missing out on. ?And being one traveler long I stood,? shows how the speaker would like to
be in two places at once. Unable to accomplish this, he takes a long time to decide on what he should
do. Finally, the speaker describes studying the first option, looking as far into the future as he possibly
could with the lines, ?And looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth.?
The speaker continues to convey his message in the second stanza of ?The Road Not Taken.? In the
opening line of this

Rhetorical Analysis Of Kate Kid
The target audience of this video would be teenagers and young adults, around the ages of 11 26, as
this age range incompasses most people interested in comic books and superheroes. These are
generally people who are more open minded and likely be believe in fantasy worlds and superpowers,
possibly even imagining or role playing themselves in a superhero role. It s also likely that they too
read comic books under the disguise of a textbook! These people will be the ones the plot and main
character resonates the most with and who will take the dominant ideology to heart. These are also the

And as another symbol, superheroes are often depicted of as secret identities of people who try to act
normal and yet conceal great power to help others, like for instance Clark Kent and Superman. Thus
seeing the protagonist s obsession with superheroes and his fantasies of exacting justice upon the bully
implies that he too wishes he were like that, that he could use that power stand up and not be afraid.
His superhero persona also has a star shaped mouth hole evocative of Captain America, who has stars
proudly portrayed all over his outfit that symbolizes truth, justice, and freedom.
Of course, depending on their background, someone in the target age group may develop an opposing
position to some of the scenes depicted. For instance, some may think that the depiction of bullying is
wholly inaccurate and misleading, as actual physical violence is rare and usually only occurs in
private areas. Rather, bullying is usually emotional or verbal, like spreading rumours or name calling,
as that s more subtle and likely to pass under teachers or other students radars. As well, the look the
bully gives the protagonist at the end as he leads his crush away is one of contempt and anger, and one
may interpret that as a desire for revenge. If so, one

Who Is Knocking By Norma Lee
Knock Knock. Who s there? Norma Lee. Norma Lee who? Norma Lee I don t go around knocking on

of political figures. These satirical representation all have one thing in common. They give you humor,

you joy. No matter how hysterical something may be it always finds a way of bringing you
happiness. The authors in this unit transmits humor by using extreme exaggeration in a story to display
an entertaining genre.
In the essay,¨I ve got a few pet peeves about sea creatures¨, written by Dave Barry, he conveys humor
about life to truth by making a serious topic amusing for the audience. Like personal thoughts or
feelings about a serious subject. For example, in the passage it said, It turns out that an aquarium is a
powder keg that can explode in deadly violence at any moment, just like the Middle East, or junior

used for emphasis. He took something serious as like violence and made it facetious. He also conveys

comedy because if found it difficult to understand. The difference between High comedy and low
comedy is that in low comedy it s frequently seen as a hilarious effect and how the plot takes priority
over the characters. Meanwhile, high comedy is primarily focused on the characters dialogue or ideas.

Monetary Policy During The Great Depression Essay example
Monetary Policy During The Great Depression
One of the most important aspects of the Great Depression that stands out in economists minds is the
surge of bank panics and failures during the depression s onset (1930 1933). However, an institution
created with the intention of preventing such a string of disasters failed to fulfill its obligation as a
lender of last resort. This is the Fed, and its failure to prevent the early bank panics of the Great
Depression is a very interesting economic issue. So why did the Fed fail to fulfill its duty? The reason
for the Fed s actions (or lack thereof) was a combination of the strict elitist leadership in the Fed and
the results of adaptive expectations on immature monetary policy. ... Show more content on

systems responsibility (Friedman 358). This is the first example of the Fed s apathetic and elitist
attitude; this attitude prevented them from seeing that bank panics are contagious. If the public looses
confidence in the system because it knows the Fed will not help them, this will only cause more runs
on banks. The truth is that the Fed was every bit as responsible for the bank panics as poor bank
management was. The Fed did not want to admit to this, and so further separated itself by declaring
that non member banks were not its problem either (Friedman 358). From 1921 to 1930 most failed
banks were non members. The Fed felt no responsibility for these banks, and this is proved by the fact
that directors meeting minutes during this time are only concerned with the failures of member banks;
they didn t even discuss the closing of non member banks (Friedman). The lack of the Fed s action on
non member banks is also interesting because the Fed was created largely in response to the bank
panics of 1907, a time when all

The Risks Of Teenage Birth Rates In Teens
Imagine waking up every hour, feeding and changing a baby of your own. Getting about four hours of
sleep each night. In 2015 a total of 229,715 teenage girls had to go through this, because they took the
risk of being sexually active at a very young age. The birth rate is 22.3 births per 1,000 women
between the ages 15 19 years old (17Ce). Birth rates in teens have dropped increasingly from the year
1991 to now, but that still hasn t stop these young girls from becoming teen moms. Many teen births
differ by age, racial and ethnic groups, and region of the country. In 2014 73 percent of all teen births
occurred to 18 19 year olds. Birth rates are higher among Latina and African American adolescents. In
2014, Latina adolescent female s ages 15 19 years old had the highest birth rates. There was 38 births
per 1,000 adolescent females. African American adolescent females had the second highest birth rates
in 2014, with 34.9 births per 1,000 adolescent females. White adolescent had 17.3 births per 1,000
adolescent females (HHS).
Pregnancy and birth have been a significant contributor to high school dropout rates. Adolescents who
are enrolled in school and are engaged in learning, participating in class, are involved in after school
activities, and have a positive attitude toward school are less likely than other adolescents to have or
mother or father a baby. The children of teenage mothers are more likely to have lower school
achievement and to drop out of high school, have more health problems, and face unemployment as a
young adult (17Ce). Adolescents with mothers who gave birth as a teen and whose mother only has a
high school diploma, are more likely to have a baby before the age 20 than those whose mothers were
older at their birth and who attended college (HHS). Less than 2% of teen mom actually earn a college
degree by 30 years old (DoSomething.org).
In 2010 teen pregnancy and childbirth accounted for at least $9.4 billion in cost to U.S. taxpayers for
increased health care and foster care (17Ce). Sex education, teaching self respect, encouraging
abstinence, and laying out consequences are just some ways that our society can prevent this
tremendous cost and teen pregnancy (Sammons). Abstinence remains

Persuasive Essay On Jackie Robinson
Jackie Robinson known as the man who broke the color barrier, was both a hero of baseball, and a
hero for the fight against racism. He took two of the things Americans valued most: freedom and
sports, and brought them to the grand stage. When we take what Robinson did and put it in
perspective of when and where it occurred we see the true struggle, and see just how despicable and
bitter this time was. It really highlights how the search for freedom and equality coincided with the
country s fight to hold on to segregation and racism. The retelling of Robinson s story has been retold
many times from the perspective of baseball. Jack Roosevelt Johnson was born on January 31, 1919 in
Cairo Georgia, the youngest of five children during a Spanish flu and smallpox epidemic. When
Jackie was very young his father abandoned the family. Now Jackie s mother Mollie Robinson, had to
find a better life for her family. Due to Jim Crow laws Mollie could not buy a house for her family,
because they were barred from certain neighborhoods for whites only. Despite this fact Mollie didn t
care she persuaded a light skinned black man to act is if he was buying a house in Pasadena,
California. (MSR News) Then the Robinson s moved in, whites were furious and threatened to burn
them out of the house. Mollie ignored the threats and went about her business. This strength and
cunning shown b their mother showed the kids how to fight for what they believe in, and to never stop

The Structure And Function Of Endospores And Capsules Work
Bacterial endospores are highly resistant structures that can withstand many forms of treatments,
including heat and UV (Atrih Foster, 2002), and this characteristic is facilitated by their unique spore
structure. Bacterial capsules play an important role in the virulence of bacteria for their host, and
enable bacterial cells to evade host defense mechanisms and survive hostile environments. The
structure and function of endospores and capsules work specifically to benefit the microbial cell;
furthermore, various physiological changes occur in these structures as a result of environmental stress
(Sahin, Yong, Driks, Mahadevan, 2012). The specific mechanism of these physiological changes, the
types of environmental stresses that cause the changes, and how these correlate with endospore and
capsular structure and function are essential to the understanding of this topic. Bacterial endospores
are dormant, non reproductive, and sometimes disease causing cell structures that are typically formed
in Gram positive bacteria under a process called sporulation. Endospores exhibit high resistance to
environmental stresses, and these structures are able to resist conditions that are unfavourable to most
organisms, enabling bacteria to lie dormant for extended periods of time (hundreds to thousands of
years). In addition, endospores are highly durable, as dormant spores return to an actively growing
state a process called germination) when nutrients return to their environment.

Choosing Between Online and In Person Teaching Positions
Filbert College/traditional teaching position. The first question that I find to be helpful is the one about
optional summer classes. The reply is that they often do not have enough enrolled students to allow
everyone to work in the summer time. I find this helpful since I would be a new educator, and not
have that much seniority. If by chance I did want to teach summer classes, I would likely not be able
to.
The second question in the traditional college application I find to be helpful is, the one about class
size. Since the answer to this question is 150 200 students, that would have a huge impact on my
decision. I have never worked with a class of this size, and grading 200 ten page papers, would be a
pain. Not saying that I could not, but it may be difficult. The advanced classes on the other hand, are a
lot more reasonable in size.
Johnson online college questions. The question that I find helpful is again, class size. Since the class
size is around 20 30 students, this is much more reasonable, and feasible. At least for my current
teaching ability. The next question that I find to be helpful is about research. The college requires you
to continually do research, but they have funding programs for this, so that is very helpful. ... Show

Adolf Hitler s Influence On German Culture
German culture from decaying was occurring and the consensus was to just wait out the situation and
not protest. Hans spoke up after that declaring that they should be able to share their own world views.
Kurt had felt the same way and later on in the evening they briefly talked and agreed to meet again.
Kurt was driven to his choice of furthering conversation most likely because of his love for German
culture and German values that Hitler was depriving all of Germany of. He also may have been fueled
to help the White Rose because of a personal vendetta. He had been chosen to go work at the
University of Berlin as a folk music teacher, his contract was eventually cancelled because he did not

Some of the same city influenced aspects that enabled the White Rose to take root can also be credited
with assisting Hitler s mass extermination of all deemed weak or degenerate. Hitler controlled
everything, including religion, government, media, and even education. He used the Hitler youth
programs to mind wash the youth populations; the shutting down of church activities to make
involvement only allowed for pro Nazi organizations, furthering the brain washing, and depriving
these people of things that allowed them to think freely and morally, and lastly he terrified the German
citizens, these people knew that if they did not follow him and do what he asked they would be most
likely be killed. Hitler was loved because German people were without the freedom to think on their
own or discuss any negative information connected with him and he was feared because anyone who
did this was executed. Hitler took advantage of his absolute rule and eventually controlled almost
every aspect of life for German people in the city. The members of the White Rose all had eye opening
experiences and they saw Hitler for what he really was, a monster. Their experiences with Hitler and
his control over the city enabled them to write compelling leaflets opening, the minds of other

Female Betrayal in The Winter s Tale compared to Iago in...
The Winter s Tale and Othello, both by William Shakespeare, contain fantasies of female betrayal. In
both play s these fantasies are aggregated by something, be it Iago in Othello or Hermione s
pregnancy in The Winter s Tale. Iago confronts Othello in act 3.3, eluding to his wife s betrayal. Both
Othello and Leontes have a seemingly sudden onset of jealousy. However, Othello s jealousy forms
later in the play than Leontes . This is important when comparing the two because there are acts of the
play showing Othello s nature and character which do not point towards jealousy or concern for his
wife s conduct. Othello s lack of jealousy, in the beginning, can be seen in act 3.3, line 188, The

Leontes first lines of jealousy seem to appear at line 109, Too hot, too hot!/ To mingle friendship far is
mingling bloods. Leontes says this aside in response to Hermione calling Polixenes a friend. In the
footnotes of The Complete Pelican Shakespeare it is said that friend can also mean lover. Leontes goes
on to ask Mamillius twice if he is his son. Leontes believes that this friendship could have already
gone too far, where the line between friends and lovers is blurred. The mingling of blood is referring
to the mixing of Polixenes and Hermione s DNA to produce the baby with which she is currently
impregnated. So this affair must have happened many months ago as Hermione is far along in her
pregnancy. Leontes main concerns here are his pride and his power. Leontes need children to continue
his families reign, a situation that becomes more dire once Mamillius dies. Leontes clearly had no
thoughts of an affair before Hermione is able to convince Polixenes to stay, as Leontes tried to get
Polixenes to stay before her. Then maybe Leontes jealousy started when Hermione proved herself
more persuasive. This jealousy could stir not from the fear of matters of the heart but of the fear of
Hermione s ability to manipulate Leontes, just as he had seen her manipulate Polixenes into staying.
Othello and Leontes have issues with trust. Othello trust to much

The video rental industry was one of the more growing services retailers in the mid 1990s. However,
due to Blockbuster, many rental video companies have failed to compete against this category killer.
West Coast Video, Video City, and Hollywood Video, which are among the few and only large

compete against Blockbuster s assortment of videos. Blockbuster opened its first store in 1985 and has

Blockbuster also has a popular program called Rewards and members pay a small fee yearly, which
keeps track of customer rentals. Customers receive free rentals when they purchase a number of
rentals on certain days and through the month. The Nutley store also offers 30 rentals in a month and
the customer must rent the free rental per day for the month. The size of the Nutley Blockbuster store
resembles that of a category killer because most video rental stores are moderately sized. There is lots
of space, wide aisles, and the categories are spread evenly throughout both floors of the store. The new
releases are placed on the walls around the floor so that the customer must walk through the whole
floor to find the movie that they desire. By doing this, customers have the possibility of finding an old
release that they might desire by impulse. The older release categories such as comedy, action, and
horror are also located on the first floor because if a customer is looking for a particular category
release, they might pass by a new release they have been waiting for. Other goods such as videos for
sale are close to the register as well as snacks. These impulse items are not items that they will travel
for and placed near the register for this purpose. Customer service is a major part of Blockbuster s
image. They have at least 5 employees working at the store at one time

Notion of Balance in Things Fall Apart by Achebe Essay
Notion of Balance in Things Fall Apart by Achebe
The notion of balance in Achebe s novel is an important theme throughout the book. Beginning with
the excerpt from Yeats s poem, The Second Coming, the concept of balance is stressed as important,
for without balance, order is lost. In the novel, there are many systems of balance which the Ibo
culture seems to depend upon. It is when these systems are upset that things fall apart. Okonkwo, the
Ibo religion, and ultimately, the Ibos autonomy were brought to their demise by an extreme imbalance
between their male and female aspects. These male and female aspects can be generally be described
as the external, physical strength of the male; and the internal, passive, and nurturing ... Show more

Okonkwo is eventually defeated when he finds that his physical strength is not powerful enough to
overcome the white men, and, unable to accept this, he hangs himself. The Ibo Religion s Demise
The Ibo religion falls in much the same way. This religion is centered about the worship of male gods
and ancestors. The female god among these may be the Earth goddess, but Okonkwo offends this
goddess twice in the story to save his masculine image: once when he beats his wife during the week
of peace; the other when he strikes down his adopted son. The gods functions are mainly to help in
war, and to aid the yearly yam crop, which is considered a man s crop. The highest members in the
religious organization are the most respected men in the society; during ceremonies, they don
costumes and play the role of the deceased ancestors. The primary influence women have in this
religion is in the role of the oracle, who is a woman, although she embodies a male god. It is the
women, also, who practice witchcraft, which is greatly feared in the tribes, but it should be noted that
even this is a passive force with only intangible connections to any physical effects.
When the Christian religion is introduced, preaching universal acceptance, many members of the clan
who are dissatisfied with the Ibo religion are drawn toward it. Some of the title less men described as
women in the tribe are immediately drawn to it. Nwoye, who dislikes the practice

How Did Fleche Wrote The Revolution Of 1861
I feel like Andre M. Fleche wrote, The Revolution of 1861: The American Civil War in the Age of
Nationalist Conflict to expand reader s knowledge and comprehension of nationalism occurring in the
Civil War during the nineteenth century, on a global spectrum. Andre Fleche wanted to inform readers
how the northern and southern disputes on race, social class and labor has been influenced from other
international events. One reason why Fleche wrote The Revolution of 1861 was to prove that the pan
European revolutions of 1848 were an influence on Americans contemplating the civil war. In Fleches
book he had multiple arguments, one of his arguments was that the legacy of 1848 was an influential
model for both the northern and southern sides competing national ideologies, each having their own
lesson and view of opinion difference (Fleche 3). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

building plans in America, chapter two discusses how The Revolution of 1861 forced states to choose
a party, chapter three talks about problems in Northern Nationalism consisting of local rights and
central authority tension, and helping Great Britain realize its self determination (Fleche 81). In the

Social Rules For Dating
The social rules for dating have drastically changed over the years. In today s society, dating has lost

Structure and Narrative Technique in Wurthering Heights ...
Thomas Hardy employs an `omniscient narrator in his rural novel `Return of the Native , as he
attempts to mimic classical tragedy by uniting the essential elements of time, place and action. The
fact that the novel was originally intended to be of a five book structure, with monthly instalments,
ending with a final, devastating climax, coupled with the numerous classical references to Hades.
Hercules and Prometheus , shows even further Hardy s desire to create an immensely tragic novel,
void of a desire to please societies middle class novel reading public. Although it was to be this novel
which eventually underwent serious revision, `Wuthering Heights would have ultimately appeared as

One insistent feature of his language in the initial chapters, is the frequent use of guesswork; I suppose
, perhaps and I conjectured. The effect of this style is to focus our attention on the narration itself, as
Lockwood struggles to translate his impressions for us. Bront #235;s use of repeated guesswork and
hesitancy allows us to remember that the novel is being relayed to us by a struggling, foreign observer.
Due to this uncertainty, only a small portion of the story filters through to the reader, and we may
expect that the effect of the narrative is rather economical. `Nicolas Marsh however argues differently
in his essay `Analysing Wuthering Heights , as he claims that this lack of information paradoxically
has the opposite effect, and that it creates an unlimited, obscured environment for the story itself to be
encompassed within.
Nelly s language, on the other hand, can be vividly descriptive, as when she describes Cathy on the
moors musing over a bit of moss, or a tuft of branched grass, or a fungus spreading its bright orange
among the heaps of brown foliage. Sometimes her language is not unlike Lockwood s, as she claims
Heathcliff s naturally reserved disposition was exaggerated into an almost idiotic excess of unsociable
moroseness. However, once again the narrator s character interferes

  • 2. Yu-Gi-Oh Game Analysis 1. In the game of Yu Gi Oh, there is a lot of give and take when it comes to cards. When determining whether a card is good or not, I often look at just the good parts of the effect and not the drawbacks. For example, there is a card called Card of Demise. This card allows you to draw until you have 3 cards in your hand, but you cannot do damage to your opponent for the rest of the turn, you send your entire hand to the Graveyard during the End Phase, and you cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this card. While there are some clear negatives to the card, I overlook those and really only look at the fact that you can draw up to 3 cards, which is unprecedented in Yu Gi Oh. While the creators of the card, Konami, try to make Card ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One cannot see the Yu Gi Oh community without a glimpse of bandwagon. While in the card game almost anything can be played within the entire 20 year history, people often flock to bandwagoning the quote best decks. It has even gotten to the point where people come up with a Tier List to place decks from best to worst, but these list are subjective. While there is potential for any deck to do well in a tournament, one will see the same decks top because of the numbers that represent those decks at a tournament because of bandwagoning. With groupthink, the community believes those decks to be the best and are the decks that are looked at when it is time to hit cards on the Ban ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Relationships In Dante s Inferno And Gunther Throughout this semester all of the assigned texts have relationships between characters. There was female female, male female, and male male relationships. Each of these categories drive the plot with the use of relationships and bonds typically found between the characters. Today let us focus on male male groupings and how their relationships were written and interpreted. Since there are many different pairs to choose from I will be focusing on Dante and Virgil,Siegfried and Gunther, as well as Roland and Charlemagne. Each of these relationships have similarities and differences that highlight and expand upon the character s traits. To start off with in The Divine Comedy, Dante and Virgil s relationship can be interpreted as Guide and pupil, pseudo familial, or even of a tyrant. The relationship demonstrated from the first page describes And I to him: Poet, I beg of you, in the name of God, that God you never knew, save me from this evil place and worse, lead me there to the place you spoke about that I may see the gate Saint Peter guards and those whose anguish you have told me of. Then he moved on, and I moved close behind him. (Inf I,130 136). This description of guide and follower starts from the beginning and Virgil leads the inexperienced Dante through the nine depths of hell. Dante asks the poet to lead ... In the book the scene is described Brave siegfried went up to the king and told him not to be afraid, but to speak his whole mind to the queen (Nibelungenlied 63). • 4. The Poisoner s Handbook By Deborah Blums Best Selling Book The film that I am reviewing, title The Poisoner s Handbook, is based on Deborah Blums best selling book, of the same title, which reflects on the most notorious cases between the years of 1918 and 1959 that were handled by Charles Norris, the chief medical examiner for New York City, also known and described by his peers as the father of forensic toxicology in America, and Alexander Oscar Gettler, toxicologist with the Office of Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York, such as the fatal radium poisoning of the factory workers who contracted radiation poisoning from painting watch dials with self luminous paint at the Orange, New Jersey watch factory around the year 1917 and other cases that involve dangerous poisons, like arsenic, methanol, lead, carbon monoxide, denatured alcohol, radium and thallium. Their renowned work led to tougher regulations by the government and the creation of the Food and Drug Administration. The film depicts how the average American s medicine cabinet, in the early 1900s, was a treasure chest of dangerous poisons that could make you ill, put you in a coma, and even kill you. These poisons were readily found in health tonics, depilatory creams, teething medicine, and cleaning supplies. In the early 1920s, medical examiners and coroners were appointed by the mayor and were responsible for investigating every suspicious death in New York City. The position was a political one and anyone, including musicians, painters, milkmen could ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Legacy Of Health Insurance As an individual becomes a part of something it is almost always necessary to comprehend the history and reasoning behind the way things are being completed in today s world. With this being said, the history of health insurance has flourished throughout the centuries. With health insurance being one of the most needed household items, in the 1920s, the situation was somewhat a different story. In 1919, there was a study directed in Illinois to show that the wages that were lost from the individuals being out sick were actually four times larger than the incidentals linked with curing the illness. As the world was moving forward so was the need for health insurance. In the 1929, a group of Dallas school teachers made an agreement with the Baylor hospital to arrange for 21 days of hospitalization for $6 per year. Then in 1930, blue shield came into the insurance world with plans for people using physician services. With blue shield becoming an available insurance company, the businessmen soon realized that those who worked a job were healthier and better for business. Further marketable carriers began to raise the value of the business sense and they soon began to outperform blue cross/blue shield. As the insurance companies were becoming a booming business, in 1954, section 105 was added to the internal revenue code. This allows an employer to offer a plan to reimburse employees, medical expenses which include insurance premiums. Developments in medical equipment alongside ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Outsourcing And Re Shoring Production A globalizing economy along with cheap telecommunications technology is making it effortless for countless occupations that were formerly invulnerable to offshoring to be sent overseas. As globalization advances, the off shoring movement is likely to escalate as well. Nonetheless, numerous manufacturing companies such as Caterpillar, Bosh, and Phillips have disclosed that they will return part of their off shored production to their home countries.(When Manufacturing moves back 1) Throughout this paper I will discuss the politics of offshoring and re shoring production as well as reflect on globalized production and how these concepts will play out politically. The impact of offshoring is not a new topic in the global business world. Offshoring has matured into a high profile argument over the last few decades. As a result of offshoring, countries like the United States have exported countless jobs to foreign countries. As technology improves as well as the modernization of countries such as China and India higher numbers of service jobs will be moved offshore (The Next Industrial Revolution.) Although offshoring has delivered enormous economic benefits, it also has created a heavy political toll. Offshoring has led to increased amount of jobs and rising standards of living in for laborers in low cost countries, rich world workers have been able to leave the grunt work to someone else, and companies with lower labor cost have brought higher profits. • 9. An Opinion Assesses Fancy Fertiliser s Liability Under... TO: Olo Dictum and Areta Obiter, Senior partners FROM: Kate Thompson RE: Damage from Contamination This opinion assesses Fancy Fertiliser s liability under the rule in Ryland s and Fletcher. Was the hydrofluorosilicic acid likely to cause mischief? The rule established in Ryland s and fletcher is that anything likely to cause mischief, if it escapes refers to beasts, or water, or filth, or stenches. In the case of Cambridge Water Co and Eastern Counties Leather, the chemical perchloroethene (for tanning leather) was the culprit of contamination and it was ruled that it was included as something used to cause mischief if it escaped. We can use this ruling to decide that the hydrofluorosilicic acid was likely to cause mischief. Did the hydrofluorosilicic acid escape? In the case of Read and Lyons, escape was defined as where a thing goes from an area under the defendants control to an area outside their control. In both instances of the chemical entering the student flats and from the truck to the toitū early settler s museum the chemicals had left the defendants facility to an area outside of their control. Therefore it can be established that the chemical did indeed escape. Was the hydrofluorosilicic acid brought onto the land? In Ryland s and Fletcher it is established that it is a necessity for absolute liability therefore the literal interpretation be taken; being that they introduced something onto the land that was not there before. In this case the fertiliser and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. The Epic Of America By James Truslow Adams The American Dream has existed since the 16th century. For some, it was a matter of promoting that America was a land of plenty, for others, a land of opportunity and for a third group, land of destiny. However, it was not until 1931, when James Truslow Adams wrote the book The Epic of America, that the concept was established. It ended by defining itself as equal opportunities and the freedom that allows all citizens to achieve their goals in life only with effort and determination. Today, more than eight decades later, it is still spoken of an American Dream, but not all the inhabitants of the United States refer to it as the same thing. Different groups, different types of life, different obstacles. Immigrants from all over the world ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The goal of every human being is to satisfy his needs and those of his family. However many times this is not achieved, and this causes despair and anguish, which is reflected in the mobilizations of people. Faced with this situation, the only thing left is to look for its new sources of income abroad, elements that help you to stay alive in this world, and help create a more optimistic future for the next generation. To discuss immigration, not to speculate, is to talk about the reality that the immigrant passes, both in the United States or in his native country. The history of humanity shows us that one migrates out of necessity, to get something for survival, that s why we went from place to place, in order to find food. Epicurus said; That the first pleasure that the human being seeks is the pleasure of the stomach. Our reality shows us that we have two types; pleasure and pain. Those who migrate are not because they want to continue suffering but because they seek wellness or happiness, that is why some even risk their life when leaving their country. Flaviano Bianchini says in his book, The migrant is one who rebels against a conception according to which the poor born should not touch the egg to which he was born rich. The narrative avoids adornments and rhetoric. It is clear of drama and sensationalism. There is no trace of epic or complacency. Bianchini does not present himself as the savior of the rights of migrants who will make known to us ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to my sources in my annotated bibliography, human genome modification has granted infants a second chance of life. This procedure can prevent the embryo from spreading a mutation or disease to their offspring in the future. However, this is nearly impossible to do since authors of scholarly journals, articles, and periodicals that supported my claim proved otherwise since restrictions of human genome research is prominent by governments where this research is aloud. • 16. Soccer Is The Greatest Sport Essay There are many sports in the world today, and each involves different skills in order to play. This brings a controversial question then: which sport is the greatest? Soccer is the greatest sport due to the fact that soccer is also an easy sport to learn. Almost every child played soccer when they were little. There are no true height requirements in order to play soccer. You do not have to be the tallest player out there to be the best. One of the most rewarding things about soccer is that it is a team sport, which requires players to work together. One of the main concerns for parents when their kids play a sport is how much will the sport cost? Soccer is one of the cheapest sports. Unlike many other sports, soccer is one of the only sports where the clock doesn t stop. Therefore, soccer is the greatest sport. One of the interviewees, Garrett (age 20), said, I do not think that soccer is the greatest sport. It gets overshadowed by other sports, for example, baseball and football. In this paper, I will explain why soccer is the greatest sport. First of all, soccer is the greatest sport because it is a very easy sport to learn. If children are taught the rules at a young age, then anyone can understand them. In my personal experience, the rules for soccer were easy to learn because there were not too many to learn. • 18. Critical Analysis Of Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken Critical Analysis of Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken The speaker in Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken gives the reader insight into human nature with each line of poetry. While, Frost had not originally intended for this to be an inspirational poem, line by line, the speaker is encouraging each reader to seek out his or her own personal path in the journey of life. Romanticizing the rural woods of New England creates the perfect setting for the theme of self discovery laid out and described by the speaker. Robert Frost s original intent in writing the poem was not to convey the inspiration that it has for almost a hundred years. He had written the poem to poke fun at his friend, Edward Thomas, with whom he had taken many walks. Thomas was hesitant and always wondering what would happen if he had chosen a different path (http://www.yoga.com/raw/readings/frost_road.html). In fact, Frost sent the poem to his friend, then in France, and got the response, ?What are you trying to do with me?? (http://www.libarts.sfasu.edu/Frost/PopPoems.html). However, Frost did see the impact the poem was having and stated, Do not follow where the path may lead?Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. The speaker communicates many things in the first stanza of the poem. The first line, ?Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,? uses imagery with the color yellow, the color of gold, to show that the speaker sees an opportunity ahead of him. The two roads symbolizes the choices and consequences he must choose. The next line, ?And sorry I could not travel both,? illustrates how difficult it is to make a choice. It is impossible not to wonder what could happen by choosing the other road and what he could be missing out on. ?And being one traveler long I stood,? shows how the speaker would like to be in two places at once. Unable to accomplish this, he takes a long time to decide on what he should do. Finally, the speaker describes studying the first option, looking as far into the future as he possibly could with the lines, ?And looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth.? The speaker continues to convey his message in the second stanza of ?The Road Not Taken.? In the opening line of this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Rather, bullying is usually emotional or verbal, like spreading rumours or name calling, as that s more subtle and likely to pass under teachers or other students radars. Monetary Policy During The Great Depression Essay example Monetary Policy During The Great Depression One of the most important aspects of the Great Depression that stands out in economists minds is the surge of bank panics and failures during the depression s onset (1930 1933). However, an institution created with the intention of preventing such a string of disasters failed to fulfill its obligation as a lender of last resort. This is the Fed, and its failure to prevent the early bank panics of the Great Depression is a very interesting economic issue. So why did the Fed fail to fulfill its duty? The reason for the Fed s actions (or lack thereof) was a combination of the strict elitist leadership in the Fed and the results of adaptive expectations on immature monetary policy. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Later it was determined that bank failures were a problem of bank management which was not the systems responsibility (Friedman 358). This is the first example of the Fed s apathetic and elitist attitude; this attitude prevented them from seeing that bank panics are contagious. If the public looses confidence in the system because it knows the Fed will not help them, this will only cause more runs on banks. The truth is that the Fed was every bit as responsible for the bank panics as poor bank management was. The Fed did not want to admit to this, and so further separated itself by declaring that non member banks were not its problem either (Friedman 358). From 1921 to 1930 most failed banks were non members. The Fed felt no responsibility for these banks, and this is proved by the fact that directors meeting minutes during this time are only concerned with the failures of member banks; they didn t even discuss the closing of non member banks (Friedman). The lack of the Fed s action on non member banks is also interesting because the Fed was created largely in response to the bank panics of 1907, a time when all ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The birth rate is 22.3 births per 1,000 women between the ages 15 19 years old (17Ce). Birth rates in teens have dropped increasingly from the year 1991 to now, but that still hasn t stop these young girls from becoming teen moms. Many teen births differ by age, racial and ethnic groups, and region of the country. In 2014 73 percent of all teen births occurred to 18 19 year olds. Birth rates are higher among Latina and African American adolescents. In 2014, Latina adolescent female s ages 15 19 years old had the highest birth rates. The Structure And Function Of Endospores And Capsules Work Bacterial endospores are highly resistant structures that can withstand many forms of treatments, including heat and UV (Atrih Foster, 2002), and this characteristic is facilitated by their unique spore structure. Bacterial capsules play an important role in the virulence of bacteria for their host, and enable bacterial cells to evade host defense mechanisms and survive hostile environments. The structure and function of endospores and capsules work specifically to benefit the microbial cell; furthermore, various physiological changes occur in these structures as a result of environmental stress (Sahin, Yong, Driks, Mahadevan, 2012). The specific mechanism of these physiological changes, the types of environmental stresses that cause the changes, and how these correlate with endospore and capsular structure and function are essential to the understanding of this topic. Bacterial endospores are dormant, non reproductive, and sometimes disease causing cell structures that are typically formed in Gram positive bacteria under a process called sporulation. Endospores exhibit high resistance to environmental stresses, and these structures are able to resist conditions that are unfavourable to most organisms, enabling bacteria to lie dormant for extended periods of time (hundreds to thousands of years). In addition, endospores are highly durable, as dormant spores return to an actively growing state a process called germination) when nutrients return to their environment. ... Sometimes her language is not unlike Lockwood s, as she claims Heathcliff s naturally reserved disposition was exaggerated into an almost idiotic excess of unsociable moroseness. However, once again the narrator s character interferes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
