Comparison Of Anne Bradstreet s Memory Of My Dear...
A comparison of Anne Bradstreet s In Memory of My Dear Grandchild Elizabeth Bradstreet and
Edward Taylors Upon Wedlock, and Death of Children. Taylor and Bradstreet have different
relationships to their children in each of their poems. In the poems the writers explain that death, in
some way, is a natural course and compare it with the diverse aspects of nature. Both Taylor and
Bradstreet attempt to reunite the faith they have in God even when they suffer the loss of a child.
These poems seem very similar just by first glance because of the content displayed and the use of
their tone. However, they do tend to stray apart on several main ideas. Taylor resorts to a Puritan
reaction towards the tragedy of his loss, which gives the reader a feeling of pity for him as he would
be the man whom loves God and the caring father role. Conversely, Bradstreet displays her expression
of loss in a rather unique way of blame towards God. Taylor has an understanding state of mind
toward the loss of his children, but he also mourns heavily over his loss. Taylor uses a common word
throughout his poem, which is flowers. He compares his kids to flowers that are metaphorically
growing from a True Love Knot , which can also be referred to as a flower bed. He really emphasizes
the gorgeous appearance of the flowers that seem to grow in his garden in the first two stanzas of the
poem. In Taylor s poem he rejoices his marriage and the birth of his kids as a grateful and glorious
day.

Medulla Oblongata Essay
1) The medulla oblongata is arguably the most important part of the brain since it controls critical
involuntary functions such as breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure via critical nuclei within the
medulla s reticular formation known as the medullary respiratory center, the cardiac center, the
vasomotor center, in addition to reflexes for vomiting(in the area postrema), sneezing, and coughing.
At the location of the foramen magnum, the medulla sits directly adjacent to and is continuous with
the spinal cord and is the most caudal and inferior segment of the brainstem. The pons lies superiorly
to the medulla. The medulla is approximately an inch in length and the superior portion is formed

It descends posteriorly to the brachial artery and continues following distally to the insertion of the
latissimus dorsi on the anterior and proximal aspect of the humerus (the medial lip of the inter

groove which courses inferiorly and laterally along the posterior surface of the bone. While in the
groove, the nerve is covered superficially by the lateral head of the triceps brachii towards which it is
sending branches for innervation. The nerve continues along the groove on route to the epicondyle of
the lateral elbow where it divides into a superficial branch which follows the lateral edge of the radius
terminating in the dorsolateral skin of the hand, and a deep branch running posteriorly to innervate the
forearm s extensor muscles at its termination. Injury to the radial nerve may result in trouble extending
the arm, trouble extending the wrist, also called wrist drop , and weakness in hand

The Controversy Of Adolf Hitler s Definitions
Right up front I put forward the startling proposition that Adolph Hitler was the reincarnation of none
other than the Anunaki lord, Marduk older brother of our lord Ningishzida. Although I have well
informed intuitions about several other personalities, I will make a case with one pertinent historical
example of undeniable significance Adolph Hitler. In fact the entire phenomena of the meaning and
intent of the Third Reich, the grandiose conceptual framework they embraced, their thirst for occult
powers, the remarkably advanced technologies they were developing, and aspirations to global
dominance of white, blue eyed Aryans all point to the presence of at least one, if not several, key
players in their ranks of extraterrestrial origins.

A Business Plan For A Team
Introduction Every new business commences with a concept or thought or an idea. For instance, an
entrepreneur may be knowledgeable and passionate about something, or maybe there is an urge to fill
a gap in the marketplace and therefore turn the thought into a business. In order to make this business
idea work perfectly, it is necessary to carry out market research, write a business plan including
realistic projections, target the right market and prospects and develop an effective team to support. A
team is a group of individual coming together so as to achieve a common goal. However there are
different types of a team member that are essential in creating a new entrepreneurial venture, such as
the shapers, chairperson, monitor evaluator, company worker, team worker, et al. All these
personalities and diversities are needed in an organization to be successful. The product I use regularly

had been processed by heat and it comes in different forms such as ground, puree, whole packed in
juice or puree, and diced/chopped. It can be used in different ways or as an alternative to preparing
dishes such as pizza, Italian or pasta sauce, soup, stew et cetera. How would you go about developing
a team to help you? Building and an efficient team do not happen naturally and it may take a

Yeast Concentration Lab Report
In the standard protocol with only glucose and yeast, Figure 1 indicates that Tube 3 with the most
yeast concentration has the greatest values, and tube 2 which has 1.4% yeast produces less CO2. From
the data collected it can be concluded glucose and yeast is necessary in the production of , which
agrees with the equation for glycolysis since glucose is the sugar that supplies the energy and yeast is
the substance that performs the cycle. The higher concentration of yeast will result in more CO2since
there is more substance to undergo glycolysis which produces CO2. As shown from Figure 1, the
tubes that did not have any yeast or glucose resulted in no production of CO2 since they are missing
factors to undergo glycolysis, and since they were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, with the additional fructose, it was hypothesized to cause a faster rate of fermentation of the
yeast, yet the standard protocol with fructose was shown to be significantly faster with a rate of 0.3
while fructose was 0.00001. However, the results do agree with the background information found
since it has been hypothesized that the yeast may be destroyed by the toxicity because fructose
decreased the tolerance for ethanol in yeast (Francisco Javier De la Torre Gonzalez Jose). It also
supports the experiment performed by Zinnai, Venturi and others, they found that metabolization of
glucose is preferred over fructose (Zinnai, Venturi, Sanmartin, Quartacci, Andrich, 2013). Our results
adds onto previous experiments and supports their findings which lead the conclusions found one step
closer to being defined and completely explained since it is important to do further research after only
one experiment to ensure that it is accurate and precise. Nonetheless, both experiments do support the
conclusion that yeast concentration is positively correlation with production of CO2 since even though
with fructose, the rate was significantly slower, it was still

Audit Planning And The Audit
Audit planning is a process that entails designing a road map to be followed when conducting an
audit. It also extends to identifying the specific guidelines to be adhered to direct the audit direction in
the most professionally way. It can be established that are various guidelines that guide the audit
depending on whether it is internal or external. Notably, external audit is guided by various standards,
which require financial information to be prepared in a specific way as stipulated by various standard
setting bodies. Therefore, in audit planning each body has distinct guidelines to be followed in
accordance to the jurisdiction s accepted accounting principles. An analysis of three audit planning
standards: AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), PCAOB (Public Company
Accounting Oversight Board) and IAASB (International Auditing and Assurance Standards
Board)reveals characteristic similarities and differences, which have an overall impact on the
performance of the audit. Audit planning is carried in accordance with the guidelines of the specific
accounting body. Therefore, in doing so, the Auditor need to identify the jurisdiction under which a
firm falls under to establish which standards to adopt. According to PCAOB, an audit planning should
be done in accordance to PCAOB standards (Auditing Standard No. 9). Furthermore, the standard also
expressly defines the how the overall audit plan should be done and the risk assessment guidelines to

Narrative Of The Life Of Frederick Douglass, An American...
In 1845 Frederick Douglass published his first book Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an
American Slave. This book not only showed people what life was truly like in the eyes of a slave, but
it became instrumental in propelling the abolitionist movement and helping it gain motion all across
the country. Douglass was truly a revolutionary person because throughout the duration of slavery,
African American people were not permitted to be educated. This was considered dangerous. It wasn t
until Frederick Douglass was moved to Boston, where slaves were treated more like people instead of
cattle, that he learned to read and write. When Frederick was 20 years old he escaped to Massachusetts
and began to learn more about the abolitionist movement; this lead to him writing his first book. None
of this would have been possible, however, without Douglass learning how to read and write.
Education is a major key in lifting people of color out of oppression.
The wife of Douglass s master began teaching him to read as he was just a boy at the time and he
appealed to her humanity. When Hugh Auld, Douglass s master, found out about what his wife was
doing he became livid and forbade her to teach him anymore. Auld said that if she taught him to read
he would become ...unmanageable, and of no value to his master. And that it would make Douglass
...discontented and unhappy. (Douglass, 20) It was at this moment that Douglass realized ...the white

This report form 1929, focused on the issue of overcrowding in the federal prison system and how
federal judges in Minnesota indicated a need of more federal prison farms in the northern part of the
state. Barstow reasoned that a prison farm could bring income and jobs to the town to make up for the
economic fall of the quarry and railroad. The town had a piece of land that had not been cleared across
the Kettle Rover to the east of the Sandstone that Barstow thought would be perfect. Barstow recruited
the help of Senator Adolph Larson, Dr. Homer p. Dredge, and businessman John F. Hawley. These
four men, later known as the prison farm four, called a town meeting and formed a committee with a
goal of obtaining a federal farm for Sandstone. The U.S. department of Justice had already announced
intent to build a new prison farm in Minnesota, but Sandstone was not the only town bidding for a
new institution. Sandstone, however, had the unique advantage of being positioned half way in the

We Were Liars Character Analysis
Adversity, rather it be a bully at school or even a sprained ankle playing your favorite sport; these
things are what build our character. When we are young we are naive to the world around us, our only
influence is our family. As a child you adopt a base character, adversity helps build onto this. In We
Were Liars by E. Lockhart the liars are blinded by wealth and power, when tragedy strikes the liars
characters are changed dramatically showing that adversity is the main influence on a person s
character. Cadence Sinclair is the daughter of Penny Sinclair and granddaughter of Harris Sinclair.
Every summer Cadence and the liars vacation at Beechwood where they are blind to all lifes troubles
because their vision is clouded by money and power. In the beginning of We Were Liars, Cadence
does not know what happened during her accident or the cause of her accident. She is confused, she

Human Experimentation In Nazi Germany
People may think all human experimentation is ethical and happens under supervised, and controlled
conditions with the consent of the person. This wasn t the case in Nazi Germany. The Nazi s
performed some of the most inhumane, disturbing human experiments documented by man. The Nazi
s saw their extermination camps as a prime place for scientific experiments to advance their military
and Nazi racial ideology. Prisoners were forced to participate in the experiments and usually died as
an effect. If the subject lived, the results often resulted in trauma, disfigurement, or permanent
disability. This happened on a large scale, and affected the lives of many. These experiments were
typically aimed toward Jews, but some Romani, Sinti, Soviet prisoners of war, and disabled Germans
were involved in these ruthless experiments. It is important to remember these diabolical acts not
because of how awful they were, but the technological and medical advancements they posed. If we
don t acknowledge the suffering these people endured, then I feel that they have died in vain. One of

The Sports Industry Merged From Pure Athletic Competition
The sports industry merged from pure athletic competition into a form of entertainment long ago,
combining the event itself with technology making it available everywhere. Sports hold a valuable
place in the integrated marketing of entertainment content. The loyal fan base of each sport is a ready
and willing target for a wide variety of sponsorship, licensing and merchandising opportunities, as
well as convergence with other forms of entertainment, including television, movies and games.
The sports industry can be divided into content (the activity or event itself), conduits (the medium by
which it is presented) and consumption (form in which to consume the sport). Plus, convergence
occurs across all platforms. Formula One (F1) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

viewers. An average of 600 million individual viewers watch each season during live broadcasts in the
world s top 20 TV markets (Formula 1 Racing, 2015). Of course, this number only includes what we
know from a broadcasting perspective; with the addition of the Internet and mobile media, the reach is
nearly unknown. Consumers have various conduits in which they can watch F1 races, including the
live sporting venues, online (Wi Fi, Ethernet, the Internet, Coaxial cable) or on television (digital

Consumption
Consumers can now consume content through a wide variety of available resources. The most

their free to air channel and online via TenPlay. Fox Sports airs the practices, qualifying and final
races through paid TV (The Daily Telegraph, 2015). Applications, mobiles and smartphones are also

Controversy Over Vegetarianism
Vegetarianism is not merely a present day fashion. Human beings from
diverse cultures have practiced it since olden times. Having a vegetarian diet has been
a topic that creates conflicting opinions, and it seems that the controversy gets bigger
as time moves on. In the times that we are living in today, where we are persistently
bombarded with information through the television and Internet, it makes it hard to know
who is right and who is wrong on this issue. Embracing vegetarianism provides the

USDA includes meat as part of a balanced diet, but it also states that a
vegetarian diet can meet the recommended dietary allowances for

health, wastes resources, causes deforestation, and creates pollution.
They often argue that killing animals for food is cruel and unethical since
non animal food sources are plentiful. Many opponents of a vegetarian
diet say that meat consumption is healthful and humane, and that
producing vegetables causes many of the same environmental problems
as producing meat. They also argue that humans have been eating and
enjoying meat for 2.3 million years. In Western culture, vegetarianism
dates back to Ancient Greece. The mathematician Pythagoras (570 BC
495 BC) advocated vegetarianism; a meatless diet was commonly called
the Pythagorean diet until the term vegetarian became popular during
the 1800s. The philosopher Plato (428 BC 348 BC) described a
vegetarian diet as divinely ordained ( Should People ).

Naturalism In Henry David Thoreau
Henry David Thoreau lives by an ideology of minimalism and simplicity, conveniences of his era are
gratuitous for a life of prosperity. He entered the woods to explore life living deliberately and to tread
a road of existential self actualization. Thoreau is a transcendentalist so it is only expected that he does
not align with centralized authority through religion and government which leads to the the overall
theme of naturalism and self reliancy. Essentially the theme thoreau advocates is that a simplistic
lifestyle allows one to live freely and wholly without the binds of tyranny and modern conveniences.
Within Henry David Thoreau s passage, probably the most conspicuous example of Thoreau s theme
of minimalism and transcendentalism is when he states, Our life is frittered away by detail. An honest
man has hardly need to count more than his ten fingers, or in extreme cases he may add his ten toes,
and lump the rest. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! (Thoreau 6) Essentially Thoreau advocates an
honest man has no need for even the slightest of complexity in life and that a suspended state of
ignorance from what is deemed as extraneous details is bliss. In this quote the word honest is a strong
piece of rhetoric that exclaims that honesty and morality is primarily attained through simplicity and
not through gluttony in curiosity. This connects back to my theme that thoreau advocates that a man
can live virtuously only with simplicity, hence, Shams and delusions are esteemed for soundest truths,
while reality is fabulous. If men would steadily observe realities only, and not allow themselves to be
deluded, life, therefore of delusions created by this superfluous reality is responsible for the many of
the problems we have in modern society.
Thoreau once again exclaims that complexities in life are extraneous when he states, Still we live
meanly, like ants; though the fable tells us that we were long ago changed into men; like pygmies we
fight with cranes; it is error upon error, and clout upon clout, and our best virtue has for its occasion a
superfluous and evitable wretchedness. (Thoreau 6) like ants; though the fable tells us, our lives are
comparable to the regimented lifestyle of ants

The CEO Paying Everyone $70,000 Salaries Has Something to Hide Bloomberg Businessweek
This article interested me because I remember reading a lot in the news about the CEO who was

But I also remember seeing something or another about him being sued, which might have caused the

happened. However, if he raised salaries because of a lawsuit, I have to give him and his PR team
credit because they spun it expertly. He came out looking like a progressive hero, fighting for the little

Essay The Theme of Humanity in the Time Machine
The Theme of Humanity in the Time Machine
H.G Wells was born in Bromley Kent on the 21st September 1866. He had attended school called
Midhurst Grammar in 1883, soon after he had gone to the normal school of science in London. There
he had learned biology, which could lead to why he had written science fiction novels. He had left the
school without the qualifications to become a writer. He began his career as a writer in 1893 and then
continued to create stories, such as the Time Machine.
H.G Wells had studied the fourth dimension as he felt very strongly about this issue. The fourth
dimension was about moving back and fourth in time. H.G wells had tried to create his own time

gone to another room after eating their dinner to discuss the fourth dimension. The time traveller
wanted to demonstrate to them the fourth dimension by his miniature version of the time machine, so
that they could become a witness of the fourth dimensions occurring. At this dinner party there are
only males present, because in the
Victorian times women were not superior to men, this reflects the historical influences that existed in
those times and relates to the essay question. Men who attended the time travellers dinner party was
not named through out the whole book, except for one whose name was
Filby. The other guests were named after their occupation, for example there were psychologists,
provincial mayor, medical man, narrator, the very young man and the time traveller himself. The
reason why Filby is not named after his occupation is that it was not a very important one.
There is also a character who was the time traveller s domestic servant, her name was Mrs

How Does Polypeptide Occur In Protein Synthesis
Our genetic material is DNA. A polypeptide is a chain of amino acids otherwise known as a protein.
DNA is used to make polypeptides in a process called protein synthesis. THe assemblance of
polypeptides occurs in protein synthesis. Protein synthesis is the process where genetic info is taken
from the nucleus and into the ribosome. Protein synthesis uses two RNA molecules and two types of
processes called transcription and translation. The two RNA molecules are messenger RNA (mRNA)
and transfer RNA (tRNA). mRNA contains genetic info that travels from the DNA to the ribosome. It
uses an amino acid chain sequence of proteins. tRNA (transfer RNA) uses its specific amino acid,
takes it, and matches it with its predestined codon. The process

The Problem Of Real Estate
Those who have never bought, sold or otherwise transferred title to a property in Australia will need to
learn a thing or two about the subject of conveyancing. Generally speaking, this is the legal transfer of
title to property from one person to another. There are some kits on the market that enable buyers to
complete the process involved in transferring ownership of property, but this is not generally
recommended as differences in state laws, and the complexity of the process itself, can cause potential
problems. Real Estate is typically the most valuable asset that any of us will ever own, and its legal
title transfer must be handled carefully to ensure the protection of all parties and full compliance with
the law. It is, therefore, important to know what conveyancing is and what is involved in the process,
as well as what a conveyancer does in this process and how both buyers and sellers can benefit from
their services. When seeking any professional for their services, it is critical to find someone who is
qualified. This is especially important for a transaction as major as those involving real estate. You ll
want to have a good idea of how much it costs to employ their services and whether one should use a
conveyancer or a solicitor when engaging in various property transfers. This subject may seem new
and daunting to someone who has not gone through it, but the right professional can navigate you
through it to a settlement that is amicable for both parties.

Curiosity seems to be one of the greatest assists possessed by human kind, there seldom seems to be a

way of nourishing and expanding the developing minds of youth, and a way of passing down culture
and traditions. The education children receive is a toolkit to help them solve problems later in life, but
the majority of the time students do not obtain the well rounded education they need to prosper. Due to

The brain is divided into two separate bisections, the left and right hemisphere, children need both
sides of the brain innervated in order to learn properly. The left hemisphere is responsible for
perceiving information more logically and analytically, it is the side that processes things math,
science, and writing. Whilst the right hemisphere of the brain is responsible for more imaginative
creative thinking, the importance of developing both segments of the brain is not something that
should be overlooked. With the aid of the arts, children see there are an infinite set of different
perspective, each complexity is in the eye of the beholder, this shapes how kids view and react to
problems. Every child is different, and art can be compromised to each child s individual personality
in a way math and science cannot. This results in separate individuals and a diverse society where no
one is the same. Since the beginning, humans have naturally been innovative and found experimental
ways to negotiate through life. Creativity is valued in any career path, just as much as logic,

Government And Its Effect On The Good Of A Country
It all depends on what any certain country needs from its government in order to determine if a policy

of government, be it a main type or hybrid type of government, and its incorporated policies work for
a county, but also gave example of how the for mentioned can be used for something other than the

Compare And Contrast New Year Holidays

Civil War And Reconstruction Era
Cause of Exoduster Migration to the West
In the late nineteenth century, as the civil war and reconstruction era drew to an end, newly freed
African Americans were still faced with many problems. Slavery had taken up most if their lives and
now that they were free with no jobs. Most resorted in being farmers to former slave owners to make a
living. The whites, however, who did not agree with African Americans being free created black
codes. These were designed to force freed blacks to work on plantations. These codes also denied
blacks the right to purchase or even rent land. The Freedmen s Bureau was issued in an effort to bring
freed people to full citizenship. This would help with getting the African Americans jobs, houses,
education, land, and anything necessary to start their new lives. By 1879, Benjamin Pap Singleton, a
former slave from Tennessee, became known as the leader of the Exoduster Movement. Benjamin
Singleton urged blacks to leave the south to move westward. Kansas, at the time being a free state
became appealing to Singleton and he put advertisements up to show blacks what opportunities
awaited them in the west. Those who agreed with him and who moved west to Kansas called
themselves Exodusters. Some believed that this was their promise land. A small town by the name of
Nicodemus, Graham County, Kansas, was home to 75 Americans by the year 1876. When the Exodus
movement brought African Americans westward, the small town became known as the center

The Negative Effects Of Binge Drinking In College
Binge drinking in college can negatively impact your college experience by increasing the possibility
of physical and sexual assault, injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and academic problems. Social
influence has a major impact on the amount of alcohol college students consume. In particular, this
paper will discuss how direct offers, perceived descriptive norms, injunctive norms, and exposure to
alcohol content on social media networks increase the amount of alcohol college students consume.
Direct offers can range anywhere from a simple gesture to persistent encouragement from others.
Meisel and Alfai s research sample consisted of 156 college students who have consumed alcohol in
the last 30 days. There were 99 females and 57 males between the ages of 18 and 24. The study s
participants included Asians, Pacific Islanders, Hispanics, African Americans, and Caucasians, who
were the majority of the participants. First, the participants were asked to list 10 goals to focus on over
the next couple of months. Then they were asked to rate their top five goals on a scale of 0 10 based
on importance. After rating their goals they were asked: How many times they have been offered a
drink in the past year? Finally, the students had to fill out the Daily Drinking Questionnaire which was
used to assess the quantity of alcohol consumed in the past month and the frequency of heavy drinking
episodes (4 drinks per occasion for females and 5 drinks per occasion for males) (Meisel Alfai, 2015).
The study s results discovered that direct offers have less of an influence on students with higher
levels of goal meaning. Even though the students with higher levels of goal meaning are less likely to
be influenced, direct offers are still shown to have a major impact on increased college drinking. In
relation to college drinking, perceived descriptive norms refer to the perception of how much or how
frequently others drink (Rinker Neighbors, 2013). Rinker and Neighbors research participants
consisted of 1095 culturally diverse college students including, Caucasians, Asians, African
Americans, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders, and Native Americans. There were also slightly more female

A Passage To India Essay
Why can t we be friends now? It s what I want. It s what you want. But India answers: No, not
yet...No, not there (p332). Forster s 1924 novel, A Passage to India, begins and ends with a simple but
complex question can the English and Indian races be friends and, at the end of the novel , the answer
appears to be no, No, not yet (p332). Forster creates a world in which there are no connections, where
Indians and Englishmen speak the same language but do not understand each other. Friendship
between Englishmen and native Indians, in the setting of the novel, is not only frowned upon, but it is
highly unlikely within the context of the British colonialism. The barriers which prevent people from

As for Miss Quested, she accepted everything Aziz said as true verbally. In her ignorance, she
regarded him as India, and never surmised that his outlook was limited and his method inaccurate and
that no one is India (p143). This passage, taking place at Fielding s tea party later in Chapter VII,
brings to lights an undeniable difference between the English and the Indians. Forster shows that the
Indians value the emotion and purpose behind a statement more than the literal words being said. Even
though Dr. Aziz is ashamed because of his circumstances which don t allow him to have a mansion or
luxuries in his home and the fact that he has not been to the Marabar Caves, he tries to fit in and
socialise regardless of the differences between him and Mrs. Moore and Adela Quested. Aziz often
tells lies in order to keep a conversation progressing smoothly and because he does not want to be
seen as an Indian who cannot relate to what is being said whereas the English value statements that are
true. The tea party at Fielding s home is an event which shows that people of different beliefs can
socialise in an informal manner while getting along despite the colonialism which is taking place
Fielding, as seen in this quotation, respects statements for their mood as well as their truth and this
shows that he has learned to accept and appreciate the

There is a great deal of synergy between the Microsoft and Intuit that would be beneficial for

In order for Microsoft to be able to reach the goals set by Bill Gates, they must use their considerable

Essay about The Extent to Which Tudor Rebellions Have...
The Extent to Which Tudor Rebellions Have Similar Causes
Tudor rebellions were caused by one or more of the following factors: dynastic, political, religious,
and social and economic. There was an element of both similarity and continuity in the period as most
of the rebellions were politically motivated starting with Warbeck s rebellion in 1491 until the end of
the period with Essex s rebellion in 1601. This displays clear political motives across the period.
During the reign of Henry VII, many of the rebellions were dynastically motivated with a series of
challenges from pretenders to the throne, Simnel and Warbeck and rebellions due to heavy taxation;
Yorkshire and Cornish anti tax riots. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nevertheless, dynasty was still a cause of Tudor rebellions but was replaced by succession especially
as Henry VIII did not have an heir and he himself did not have a legitimate claim to the throne. This
occurred with the political coup of Lady Jane Grey in 1553 and Wyatt s rebellion in 1554 because of
Henry VIII s reinstatement of both Mary and Elizabeth who had both been previously removed from
succession. The treason acts help to reduce rebellion as it became easier to convict people of treason
but by the end of the period the Tudor dynasty itself was far more secure meaning that Wyatt never
made public his desire to overthrow Mary as the Tudor regime was now accepted.
Politically motivated rebellions always involved faction. Simnel and Warbeck s rebellion were both
politically motivated due to Yorkist and Lancastrian faction. Faction was of low importance in Henry
VII s reign as Henry Tudor limited it by control of patronage unlike both Elizabeth and Henry VIII
who advocated it. They had a divide and rule policy. The most common theme that ran throughout all
the politically motivated rebellions was resentment of lowborn ministers, for example, Wolsey in
1525, Cromwell in 1556 and Essex in 1601 wanted to rid parliament of Cecil the

In The Name of Religion Essay
Throughout history most religions have been primarily based around putting their God above all
others, and showing love and acceptance, however in today s society religion appears to be the fuel to
a fire of hate. Religion as a whole has become the most controversial and the most violent cause
behind some of the most world breaking news, from wars in the Middle East, to death threats to
doctors in my home town. This violent mentality of religion first is demonstrated in the short story A

There would be no peace in the house until she hid KaliMata in a suitcase (Mukherjee 364). This
quote from A Father shows that the wife knew his love for his goddess was what was tearing apart his
life, and ultimately destroying the possibility of happiness. He was an unhappy soul because he did
not think about the traditions of his religion and culture was going to affect his everyday life, and how
he viewed society. He had a hate in his heart for anyone who did not do things as he thought they
should, even his own family and bloodline. When he discovered his daughter may be pregnant, and
unmarried, he was disgusted and questioning what could be done so HE did not look disgraceful to a
culture that was thousands of miles away. (368) The same type of concern people have for their
religion should be take for all of mankind, however in most cultures people who are not as their
religion states they should be, are shunned, and even killed. Girls in today s society are told to not
have children without first being married. This tradition is based on a backbone of religion. What
should be preached is not whether a piece of paper has been signed, but financial stability and
maturity. Just like in the story A Father, the woman was mature and well established enough to have a

Religious Beliefs, Values, And Norms Of A Culture Essay
Religion is the belief of a higher being that holds all power. It is what shapes the traditions, values,
and norms of a culture. In early American History religion was the celebration of a God or Gods that
represented the accomplishments of one s own. The importance of religion was the simple fact that
people represented the type of life they lived based off their religious beliefs. People knew very well
what others stood for but they did not accept it or tolerate it. I feel as though the old world had it
worse than what we have now. The old world took matters into their own hands and did not allow
those of other groups to continue their ways of worship. People did not accept different cultures into
their villages or places of praises. The invitation was declined before even presented, they most
definitely killed others faster than standing around telling people what they did wrong by entrusting in
those about their religious faith! Back in early American history there was a lot of issues about
religious freedom. Without religion it is impossible for a nation to be shaped because then there would
be no political views. If that s true Donald Trump might have not been president; I bet you we would
all be fine with that too. Society today I would have to say is less focused on religion and more
directed to discrimination. Religion played a big important significant factor in early American history
especially when it came to other invaders looking to make a way out of their

Bubble Gum
Have you ever wondered who invented bubble gum, or why it s pink? How do you go about getting
the answers to these questions? Easy. Think way, way back, not to prehistoric times but close, 1928.
Popular With Children, Unpopular with Parents and Teachers. The first known bubble gum appeared
in 1906, and was a dud. Known as Blibber Blubber, it was sticky, brittle, and insufficiently cohesive.
In 1928, an accountant, Walter Diemer, invented an improved version of bubble gum. The only food
coloring he had on hand was pink, so for many years, pink was the common color of bubble gums.
Diemer arranged to market the bubble gum in Philadelphia candy stores and the product became
wildly popular with children. Fleer Company purchased the recipe, ... Show more content on

According to a food trade journal, tapes with extreme flavors are challenging kids with how much can
you handle? ... So these little thrill seekers will love the six feet of bubble gum tape with intense
flavor: extreme sour lemon lime; extreme freeze cherry, extreme sweet cotton candy, and extreme fruit
raspberry. In the early 1980s, gum like tobacco products were developed for tobacco chewers and
snuff users. The chewing gums served as a drug delivery system for nicotine. By the late 1980s, anti
smoking efforts of health professionals and increasingly stringent regulations against smoking in
public places created a new market for nicotine containing gums. Such medicinal gums might help in
nicotine withdrawal. The objective was to have the addicted smoker chew rather than smoke, with the
hope that eventually the person would become a non smoker and a non chewer at least, a non nicotine
chewer. Bubble gum as a dietary supplement delivery system is relatively new. One advertisement
aimed at parents for a vitamin containing bubble gum for children states: You may never have to
remind your kids to take their vitamins again. With Vitaball there s no begging, no pleading, no fuss.
The first five minutes or so your kids chew Vitaballs, they get 100% RDA [Recommended Daily
Allowance] of 11 essential vitamins kids need every day. And it comes in all their favorite gumball
colors and flavors. At last there s a

Healing Emotional Trauma Research Paper
Healing emotional trauma
Emotional wounds are as real as physical bleeding wounds, and can affect every aspect of your life.
You are at risk, regardless if you are a direct victim or somehow exposed to extreme, unpredictable
and uncontrollable life threatening events such as war, natural disasters, accidents, rape, physical or
sexual assault, kidnapping, domestic violence, workplace or school bullying, physical or emotional
abuse.
PTSD ASD, STS and AD, are clinical conditions associated with traumatic events or post traumatic
stress. Although most people associate these conditions with extreme life threatening situations, not
everyone with a form of traumatic stress has been through such dangerous events.
Even though the emotional trauma seems to be a highly individual experience, trans generational
PTSD like or hereditary trauma and behavioral patterns may be transmitted across generations through
the process of parental epigenetic programming. Thus, traumatic experiences can be passed down
from generation to generation, such that children 6 years and younger may suffer from preschool
PTSD and display similar behavioral issues as their parents, or their ancestors. In a similar way,
complex tragenerational transmitted information helps the fourth generation of Monarch butterfly
descendants find theyr way and return to exactly the same wintering sites as their grand grandparent
left the winter before. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Leonardo Da Vinci And The Renaissance
Roughly between the times of the 14th and 17th centuries a cultural movement called the Renaissance
existed. The Renaissance housed some of the greatest intellects, such as Leonardo da Vinci, and a
radically different way of thinking emerged. Humanism developed largely and rapidly among this
time, and was greatly influenced by a man named Desiderius Erasmus (1466 1536). Erasmus, a
Dutchman, originally lived among monasteries where he developed many opposing views during his
years of service. In the midst of the Renaissance, around the 16th century, the Reformation movement
began to splinter the faiths of Europe. Some say that Erasmus bridged the ideals of the Renaissance
and Reformation movements. Among his many contributions to the humanist drive, he wrote many
colloquies originally intended for teaching Latin to school children, which doubled as underlying
preaching of Erasmus s ideals. A collection of a variety of these stories entitled the Ten Colloquies
written by Erasmus shows specific examples of the tethering of Renaissance to the Reformation
largely on the theme of ad fontes.
One of Erasmus known standards was the importance of going back to the sources. During the
Renaissance, born in Florence, this was very common thought, as it was a period of admiration of
early Greek and Roman culture, intellect, and art. This began to pave some of the ways of many
reformers mainly as they begin to question the practices of the Catholic Church. Many began to
question where

Disease
Fred S. Apple, PhD; MaryAnn M. Murakami, BA; Lesly A. Pearce, MS; Charles A. Herzog, MD
This is the study done by Apple et al, whose aim was to determine if an increased troponin was
predictor of death in patients with ESRD and it also proved prevalence of raised troponin t and
troponin i in ESRD patients. It is the largest study done till date on ESRD patients showing the
relationship with troponin t. Seven hundred and thirty three ESRD patients were studied in this study,
who were treated by chronic intermittent haemodialysis for a minimum period of thirty days. The
personnel who were unaware of cardiac troponin results reviewed charts ... Show more content on

The comparison was between survival rates of the patients with raised and normal concentrations of
troponin. Cox proportional hazard was used to determine the relative risk of death both adjusted and
unadjusted and 95% confidence intervals. Kaplan Meir method was used to compute survival curves.
After that summarisation if clinical data was done 733 patients. It was founded that majority of
patients had increased troponin t as compared to troponin i irrespective of the cut off criteria used.
Again regardless of the cut off criteria used one, two and three year combined mortality rates were
higher in patients with raised troponin t compared patients having normal levels. Unadjusted for other
risk factors for mortality, Regardless of the duration of follow up, an increase of 2 5 times in risk of
death was noted with raised troponin t and 2 times with raised troponin i. Age, history of CAD, time
since dialysis were identified as independent risk factors according to the data. Whereas sex, diabetes,
and history of myocardial infarction were not found to be predictive independently. It was also found
out that there are increase mortality rates with mild, moderate and larger increases in troponin t. Based
on pre dialysis troponin t and troponin i concentrations this was the first study to determine short and
long term survival in ESRD patients. This also found causes for more elevations of troponin t as
compared to troponin i. Three different

  • 2. Comparison Of Anne Bradstreet s Memory Of My Dear... A comparison of Anne Bradstreet s In Memory of My Dear Grandchild Elizabeth Bradstreet and Edward Taylors Upon Wedlock, and Death of Children. Taylor and Bradstreet have different relationships to their children in each of their poems. In the poems the writers explain that death, in some way, is a natural course and compare it with the diverse aspects of nature. Both Taylor and Bradstreet attempt to reunite the faith they have in God even when they suffer the loss of a child. These poems seem very similar just by first glance because of the content displayed and the use of their tone. However, they do tend to stray apart on several main ideas. Taylor resorts to a Puritan reaction towards the tragedy of his loss, which gives the reader a feeling of pity for him as he would be the man whom loves God and the caring father role. Conversely, Bradstreet displays her expression of loss in a rather unique way of blame towards God. Taylor has an understanding state of mind toward the loss of his children, but he also mourns heavily over his loss. Taylor uses a common word throughout his poem, which is flowers. He compares his kids to flowers that are metaphorically growing from a True Love Knot , which can also be referred to as a flower bed. He really emphasizes the gorgeous appearance of the flowers that seem to grow in his garden in the first two stanzas of the poem. In Taylor s poem he rejoices his marriage and the birth of his kids as a grateful and glorious day. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Medulla Oblongata Essay 1) The medulla oblongata is arguably the most important part of the brain since it controls critical involuntary functions such as breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure via critical nuclei within the medulla s reticular formation known as the medullary respiratory center, the cardiac center, the vasomotor center, in addition to reflexes for vomiting(in the area postrema), sneezing, and coughing. At the location of the foramen magnum, the medulla sits directly adjacent to and is continuous with the spinal cord and is the most caudal and inferior segment of the brainstem. The Controversy Of Adolf Hitler s Definitions Right up front I put forward the startling proposition that Adolph Hitler was the reincarnation of none other than the Anunaki lord, Marduk older brother of our lord Ningishzida. Although I have well informed intuitions about several other personalities, I will make a case with one pertinent historical example of undeniable significance Adolph Hitler. In fact the entire phenomena of the meaning and intent of the Third Reich, the grandiose conceptual framework they embraced, their thirst for occult powers, the remarkably advanced technologies they were developing, and aspirations to global dominance of white, blue eyed Aryans all point to the presence of at least one, if not several, key players in their ranks of extraterrestrial origins. ... • 5. A Business Plan For A Team Introduction Every new business commences with a concept or thought or an idea. For instance, an entrepreneur may be knowledgeable and passionate about something, or maybe there is an urge to fill a gap in the marketplace and therefore turn the thought into a business. Yeast Concentration Lab Report In the standard protocol with only glucose and yeast, Figure 1 indicates that Tube 3 with the most yeast concentration has the greatest values, and tube 2 which has 1.4% yeast produces less CO2. From the data collected it can be concluded glucose and yeast is necessary in the production of , which agrees with the equation for glycolysis since glucose is the sugar that supplies the energy and yeast is the substance that performs the cycle. The higher concentration of yeast will result in more CO2since there is more substance to undergo glycolysis which produces CO2. However, the results do agree with the background information found since it has been hypothesized that the yeast may be destroyed by the toxicity because fructose decreased the tolerance for ethanol in yeast (Francisco Javier De la Torre Gonzalez Jose). It also supports the experiment performed by Zinnai, Venturi and others, they found that metabolization of glucose is preferred over fructose (Zinnai, Venturi, Sanmartin, Quartacci, Andrich, 2013). Our results adds onto previous experiments and supports their findings which lead the conclusions found one step closer to being defined and completely explained since it is important to do further research after only one experiment to ensure that it is accurate and precise. This book not only showed people what life was truly like in the eyes of a slave, but it became instrumental in propelling the abolitionist movement and helping it gain motion all across the country. Douglass was truly a revolutionary person because throughout the duration of slavery, African American people were not permitted to be educated. This was considered dangerous. It wasn t until Frederick Douglass was moved to Boston, where slaves were treated more like people instead of cattle, that he learned to read and write. When Frederick was 20 years old he escaped to Massachusetts and began to learn more about the abolitionist movement; this lead to him writing his first book. None of this would have been possible, however, without Douglass learning how to read and write. Education is a major key in lifting people of color out of oppression. The wife of Douglass s master began teaching him to read as he was just a boy at the time and he appealed to her humanity. When Hugh Auld, Douglass s master, found out about what his wife was doing he became livid and forbade her to teach him anymore. • 19. Naturalism In Henry David Thoreau Henry David Thoreau lives by an ideology of minimalism and simplicity, conveniences of his era are gratuitous for a life of prosperity. He entered the woods to explore life living deliberately and to tread a road of existential self actualization. Thoreau is a transcendentalist so it is only expected that he does not align with centralized authority through religion and government which leads to the the overall theme of naturalism and self reliancy. Essentially the theme thoreau advocates is that a simplistic lifestyle allows one to live freely and wholly without the binds of tyranny and modern conveniences. Within Henry David Thoreau s passage, probably the most conspicuous example of Thoreau s theme of minimalism and transcendentalism is when he states, Our life is frittered away by detail. An honest man has hardly need to count more than his ten fingers, or in extreme cases he may add his ten toes, and lump the rest. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! (Thoreau 6) Essentially Thoreau advocates an honest man has no need for even the slightest of complexity in life and that a suspended state of ignorance from what is deemed as extraneous details is bliss. In this quote the word honest is a strong piece of rhetoric that exclaims that honesty and morality is primarily attained through simplicity and not through gluttony in curiosity. This connects back to my theme that thoreau advocates that a man can live virtuously only with simplicity, hence, Shams and delusions are esteemed for soundest truths, while reality is fabulous. If men would steadily observe realities only, and not allow themselves to be deluded, life, therefore of delusions created by this superfluous reality is responsible for the many of the problems we have in modern society. Thoreau once again exclaims that complexities in life are extraneous when he states, Still we live meanly, like ants; though the fable tells us that we were long ago changed into men; like pygmies we fight with cranes; it is error upon error, and clout upon clout, and our best virtue has for its occasion a superfluous and evitable wretchedness. Slavery had taken up most if their lives and now that they were free with no jobs. Most resorted in being farmers to former slave owners to make a living. The whites, however, who did not agree with African Americans being free created black codes. These were designed to force freed blacks to work on plantations. These codes also denied blacks the right to purchase or even rent land. The Freedmen s Bureau was issued in an effort to bring freed people to full citizenship. This would help with getting the African Americans jobs, houses, education, land, and anything necessary to start their new lives. By 1879, Benjamin Pap Singleton, a former slave from Tennessee, became known as the leader of the Exoduster Movement. Benjamin Singleton urged blacks to leave the south to move westward. The Negative Effects Of Binge Drinking In College Binge drinking in college can negatively impact your college experience by increasing the possibility of physical and sexual assault, injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and academic problems. Social influence has a major impact on the amount of alcohol college students consume. In particular, this paper will discuss how direct offers, perceived descriptive norms, injunctive norms, and exposure to alcohol content on social media networks increase the amount of alcohol college students consume. Direct offers can range anywhere from a simple gesture to persistent encouragement from others. Meisel and Alfai s research sample consisted of 156 college students who have consumed alcohol in the last 30 days. There were 99 females and 57 males between the ages of 18 and 24. The study s participants included Asians, Pacific Islanders, Hispanics, African Americans, and Caucasians, who were the majority of the participants. First, the participants were asked to list 10 goals to focus on over the next couple of months. Then they were asked to rate their top five goals on a scale of 0 10 based on importance. After rating their goals they were asked: How many times they have been offered a drink in the past year? Finally, the students had to fill out the Daily Drinking Questionnaire which was used to assess the quantity of alcohol consumed in the past month and the frequency of heavy drinking episodes (4 drinks per occasion for females and 5 drinks per occasion for males) (Meisel Alfai, 2015). The study s results discovered that direct offers have less of an influence on students with higher levels of goal meaning. Even though the students with higher levels of goal meaning are less likely to be influenced, direct offers are still shown to have a major impact on increased college drinking. In relation to college drinking, perceived descriptive norms refer to the perception of how much or how frequently others drink (Rinker Neighbors, 2013). The Extent to Which Tudor Rebellions Have Similar Causes Tudor rebellions were caused by one or more of the following factors: dynastic, political, religious, and social and economic. There was an element of both similarity and continuity in the period as most of the rebellions were politically motivated starting with Warbeck s rebellion in 1491 until the end of the period with Essex s rebellion in 1601. This displays clear political motives across the period. During the reign of Henry VII, many of the rebellions were dynastically motivated with a series of challenges from pretenders to the throne, Simnel and Warbeck and rebellions due to heavy taxation; Yorkshire and Cornish anti tax riots. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nevertheless, dynasty was still a cause of Tudor rebellions but was replaced by succession especially as Henry VIII did not have an heir and he himself did not have a legitimate claim to the throne. This occurred with the political coup of Lady Jane Grey in 1553 and Wyatt s rebellion in 1554 because of Henry VIII s reinstatement of both Mary and Elizabeth who had both been previously removed from succession. The treason acts help to reduce rebellion as it became easier to convict people of treason but by the end of the period the Tudor dynasty itself was far more secure meaning that Wyatt never made public his desire to overthrow Mary as the Tudor regime was now accepted. Politically motivated rebellions always involved faction. Simnel and Warbeck s rebellion were both politically motivated due to Yorkist and Lancastrian faction. Faction was of low importance in Henry VII s reign as Henry Tudor limited it by control of patronage unlike both Elizabeth and Henry VIII who advocated it. They had a divide and rule policy. The most common theme that ran throughout all the politically motivated rebellions was resentment of lowborn ministers, for example, Wolsey in 1525, Cromwell in 1556 and Essex in 1601 wanted to rid parliament of Cecil the ... In early American History religion was the celebration of a God or Gods that represented the accomplishments of one s own. The importance of religion was the simple fact that people represented the type of life they lived based off their religious beliefs. People knew very well what others stood for but they did not accept it or tolerate it. I feel as though the old world had it worse than what we have now. The old world took matters into their own hands and did not allow those of other groups to continue their ways of worship. People did not accept different cultures into their villages or places of praises. The invitation was declined before even presented, they most definitely killed others faster than standing around telling people what they did wrong by entrusting in those about their religious faith! • 46. Leonardo Da Vinci And The Renaissance Roughly between the times of the 14th and 17th centuries a cultural movement called the Renaissance existed. The Renaissance housed some of the greatest intellects, such as Leonardo da Vinci, and a radically different way of thinking emerged. Humanism developed largely and rapidly among this time, and was greatly influenced by a man named Desiderius Erasmus (1466 1536). Erasmus, a Dutchman, originally lived among monasteries where he developed many opposing views during his years of service. In the midst of the Renaissance, around the 16th century, the Reformation movement began to splinter the faiths of Europe. Some say that Erasmus bridged the ideals of the Renaissance and Reformation movements. Among his many contributions to the humanist drive, he wrote many colloquies originally intended for teaching Latin to school children, which doubled as underlying preaching of Erasmus s ideals. A collection of a variety of these stories entitled the Ten Colloquies written by Erasmus shows specific examples of the tethering of Renaissance to the Reformation largely on the theme of ad fontes. One of Erasmus known standards was the importance of going back to the sources. During the Renaissance, born in Florence, this was very common thought, as it was a period of admiration of early Greek and Roman culture, intellect, and art.
