The teacher assigned students to groups to create PowerPoint presentations about time zones in different regions of the United States. Each group researched images and information about their assigned region during a specific time period. The students used their existing knowledge along with online research to find appropriate data and pictures to include. They then designed PowerPoint presentations and presented their findings to the class. The project helped students better understand time zones and allowed them to practice important skills like collaboration, research, and digital presentation design.

2. What Happened?
• Teacher saw that the students were not
understanding the concept of time zones
• She broke them into groups in the computer
lab and had them create a PowerPoint
showing pictures of a specific region (Pacific
Coast, Rocky Mountains, Great Plains, or East
Coast) during the same time period
• Students presented their PowerPoints the
next class period
