1. The University of Sfax in Tunisia created the Entrepreneurship and Placement University Center (EPUC) in 2005 to promote entrepreneurship culture and help university graduates find employment or start businesses.
2. Between 2005-2009, EPUC conducted various initiatives including developing entrepreneurship curriculum, training workshops for students and faculty, and an annual "Entrepreneurship Village" event.
3. In 2009, EPUC worked with the European Training Foundation on a project using five policy indicators to develop entrepreneurial learning strategies for universities. EPUC found the indicators useful to inform its own 2010-2013 strategy under a new performance-based relationship with the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education

The goal of D-TRANSFORM (http://www.dtransform.eu/) is to implement a training program for leaders of European universities (presidents, vice-presidents) focusing on the major role played by digital technologies and Open Educational Resources (OER) in the necessary transformation of their institutions. The premise is that e-education (digital pedagogy and training) can become a strategic tool for European universities, enabling them to be pedagogically more effective, more cost-effective, more attractive and able to meet the needs of the professional world with regard to youth training and life-long learning.
This webinar focused on a comparative survey between Spain, France, Italy and the United Kingdom on public digital policies and Dr. Szucs presented an overview on the business models for opening up education – Sustainability of MOOCs, OER and related online education approaches in higher education in Europe. The presentation also aimed to answer the question of whether Open Educational Resources are a lever for digital transition of higher education.

Ivan Nenad Mihajlović: Entrepreneurial University – synergy of entrepreneuria...CUBCCE Conference
Industrial as well as Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise development, based on Innovations and Technology is one of the most effective ways of helping the increase of manufacturing effectiveness in all parts of the World.
Accordingly, Innovations and Technology Development are the most appropriate way to promote and stimulate innovation activity in both scientific community and the industrial sector. This way the partnerships between the academia, research community and the industrial facilities in both public and private sector should be a back bone of further development of each society.
Based on those facts, part of the research activities of any academic institution should also be dedicated to increase entrepreneurial potential of the university students and development of the innovative approaches which will lead to larger correlation between large industry, SMEs and universities. This leads to high necessity of promoting the entrepreneurial university concept, as the only potential way to motivate old European academic institutions to change in the direction of commercialization of their research work.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Editor's Notes
Context : "Entrepreneurship" for all (everyone is concerned by entrepreneurship): Due to the LMD reform, all students have to take a course in entrepreneurship We wanted to include as well: Graduates because of unemployment rates Researchers since almost all research results are not valorized and researchers' competencies are not really used for regional and business development… This lead us to the three main conclusions: Demand for qualified teachers/trainers Insufficient number of teachers/trainers Different type of teaching/training than other disciplines and needs a specific pedagogy Otherwise we have to work on training the trainers to be able to contribute to the change of the culture and develop entrepreneurship. So we launched a Project " Entrepreneuriale Culture and Firm Creation ": Define this training (content, pedagogy, tools, logistics, …) Train future trainers (a network of trainers/professionals) Train graduates/researchers having a project idea … EPUC: Entrepreneurship and Placement University Center CUIES: Centre Universitaire d'Insertion et d'Essaimage de Sfax Created since the end of 2005 Mission: Promote employment of the university graduates (surveys about the needs of the industry…) Promote entrepreneurship culture (students should create their own jobs…) Promote research efforts and results (research should be valuable to the socio-economic environment… Surveys (research results and skills, industry needs…) CRIC RCIC (Regional Committee for Innovation and Competitiveness)
