The Lady Falcons leaned on the trio of Nerissa Bautista, Angela Benting and Michelle Laborte in crushing an already-eliminated National U squad, 25-20, 25-17, 25-20, for their 10th win in 12 games. The Lady Stags kept the Lady Falcons company on top by overwhelming Ateneo, 25-19, 25-17, 27-25. San Sebastian trailed almost the entire third set, and saved a set point at 23-24, before Suzanne Roces delivered crucial kills to seal the win for the Lady Stags.

13. The Lady Eagles skidded to their third straight loss for a 6-5 card, opening up an opportunity for Lyceum and Far Eastern U, which were playing at presstime, to crash the Final Four. Both the Lady Pirates and the Lady Tamaraws are running fifth with identical 5-5 records.
