This document describes the development of a speaker identification system using artificial neural networks and voice control functionality. It implements a probabilistic neural network for pattern classification using Matlab. The system extracts mel-frequency cepstral coefficients from recorded speech as features to train and test the neural network for identifying speakers. It concludes that implementation is difficult due to speech signal variability and proposes noise cancellation techniques could improve performance.
