This document discusses ultrasound, infrasound, and their applications. Ultrasound refers to sound waves with a frequency above the human hearing range of approximately 20 kHz. Ultrasound can be used for medical imaging, detection, measurement and cleaning. Sonar uses sound propagation to navigate, communicate or detect objects underwater or in air, and can use both passive listening and active pulse emission.
