1 in Russia, 2 in China, and 2 in the USA amongst others. Comprising of over 1000 employees, with an
annual turnover of £200m, the Procurement Function is responsible for managing an approximate spend
of £110m.
Responsibilities:
 Responsible Globally for all Raw Materials and Consumables required across the company
 Category portfolio spend of £5M
 Undertaking annual opportunity analysis, agreeing and delivering a savings target of £180,000+
 Developing and maintaining supplier and key stakeholder relationships.
 Negotiating improved payment terms to benefit working capital (45% moving to 60 days)
 Introducing consolidated invoices to reduce invoice processing resource.
 Contribute to Global Category Management Teams
 Offering training to colleagues in our bespoke MRP system
 Experience of sourcing bespoke manufactured parts and visual merchandise
 Engineering experience (ability to read drawings)
Key project successes:
 Eastern European tendering and negotiation for injection moulding project (c.£2.5M) for Tesco &
ASDA
 Global tendering of FCL logistics (£500k-£1m spend – delivered 15% cost reduction)
 Development of Procurement standards database; benchmarking commodity pricing, supplier
performance, accreditations (FSC, EUTR,etc.,) the right decisions in supplier selection

 Supplier relationship management: Trouble shooting supplier issues across all territories, from
raising purchase orders to invoicing through to supply issues
 Joinery production supervision including:
o Sourcing, negotiation and procurement of all Raw Materials
o Developing a new method of production management and capacity planning tools to
allow more flexible working and on-time delivery a busy production department
o Liaising with production supervisor to ensure routing times were validated & estimates of
hours and costs associated were correct to ensure margins
 As well as these key successes I was an integral part of the team when it came to the global
tendering of unit manufacture (70% China, 20% Eastern Europe, 10% UK as well as RTCs start-
up manufacturing operation in Russia) for Boots, P&G, L’Oreal, Apple, Adidas, NIKE. For a
mixture of commodities from wood and metalwork fabrications to lighting and POS plastics

 Working for RTC Europe’s new and prestigious BOSE headphones project, RTC took on a
35,000 Square foot warehouse and 50+ temporary workers to run two production lines and
output over £1.6M of final assembly, quality control and distribution.
 Responsible for entire Procurement process and overseeing production
 Management of sub-contractors to ensure product was of exceptional quality and delivered on
time
 Attending business management meetings and reporting on the supply chain
 Co-ordination with project managers, quality managers and suppliers in UK and China to ensure
