Asked by CEO to solve the chronic service and inventory issues of DEK’s after-market business. Acquired P&L 
responsibility for business unit with global sales. Responsible for EBIT, pricing and end to end supply chain. Highlights
Increased EBIT from single digit to 40% 
Increased ex-stock supply from <40% to over 91%. Reduced inventory by 40% 
Reduced logistics costs by 70% via co-ordinated and structured supply chain solution(s).

Introduced on-line part finder, quotation and tracking tools resulting in leap in customer satisfaction 
Re-orientated the Consumables strategy from commodity to applications science 
2000 – 2004: Purchasing Manager, Capital Equipment. Just-in-Time, Cellular Manufacturing, UK & China 
Recruited to solve the chronic materials shortage issues which were source of downtime in JIT factory and re-organize 
and improve the productivity of the purchasing function. Highlights… 
Re-organized supply to Plants via Supplier web-site. Plan, Make and source functions were liberated, 
resulting in substantial reductions in down-time, and corresponding improvements in cellular flow.
