Introduction
4
• A smart vehicle parking is a system that helps
drivers to find a vacant spot using sensors in
each parking space by detecting the presence
or absence of a vehicle.
• Automated Parking systems are generally
powered by electric motors (that move
vehicles into a storage position).

 Anthony Mwabaze [1] represents Intelligent Parking System based on
wireless sensor network technology. using (CCTVs) which will be used as
a sensing node to identify vacant parking space. The captured image will
be processed through the AVR Microcontroller and the processed data will
be transmitted via ZigBee to a central computer to store and update the
occupancy status of available parking space vacancies in the database.
 chandni patel et.al [2] describes Rotary Automated Car Parking System.
Cars are first placed onto motorized mono-directional or Bi-directional
platforms and then transferred to the nearest available parking space. All
operations are PLC-Controller.
 Shitaln B.Dhote [3] proposed the concept of micro controller based car
parking system in which micro controllor senses the moment of cars and
open the gate is vacancy available. And security is provided by using RFID
module through RFID card and displays the information to LCD. IR sensor
identify entry and exit of car.

 Ramneet Kaur and Balwinder Singh [4] purposed FPGA based parking
system. When a vehicle enters in the parking lot, LCD displays if the
space is available then the door opens for vehicle entrance. RF module
is used to transmit and receive slot availability information. Host
computer acts as control unit. Once host computer program the FPGA,
Identification and slot checking modules activate.
 Zishan Raza et.al [5], proposed web App system, named “Park Easy”
which is based on the usage of smart phones, sensors monitoring
techniques with a camera which is used as a sensor to take photos to
show the occupancy of cars parks.

Problem Statement
12
 With increase in the population, number of vehicles
increases and due to unmanaged parking it leads to
many problems.
 In center cities, people faces difficulties as increasing
number of vehicles creates congestion, wastage of
space, wastage of time, traffic problems, car napping,
car vandalism and many other difficulties.

Aims and objective
13
We aim to create a system that:
 Enhance the security with simplifying parking
system.
 Smart system that parks a number of vehicles
with the least space possible.
 To create the garage energy efficient by using
efficient management

What we are designing
14
 Circular path: from single floor to multi floor
 Less land required for same number of vehicles which
significantly lower the cost.
 Security is enhanced using finger print access thus,
there is no need to remember passwords.
 Capacity: 60-70

Methodology

2,14ES6215
The project will accomplish as follows:
 In Smart Parking System, the fingerprint scanner will stores
the prints of the person and provides a slot(if available).
 The slots information can be displayed on a seven segment
display or LCD.
 Infrared sensors detect the absence/presence of car and is
interfaced with microcontroller which displays the information
of slots on each seven segment display.
 Likewise, to retrieve the parked car, one’s fingerprints must
match and the slot where the car is parked will be provided.
 The circular path will automatically rotate and will provide
particular ID corresponding to the slot being located in which
division of slots is based on partition of 360 degree according
to the size of garage.

Expected outcome/conclusion
19
 The system benefits of smart parking go well
beyond avoiding time wasting.
 Enables cities to develop fully integrated
multimodal intelligent transportation systems with
great security and efficiency.
 Developing smart parking solutions within a city
solves the vandalism and pollution problem.
 Fuel saving (According to a report, smart parking
can result in 220,000 gallons of fuels saving till
2030 and approx,300,000 gallons of fuels saved
by 2050.)
